Pokémon: Ashes of Dreams [OOC]

Ah!

It might be a bit far back or have got lost in amongst the discussion about speed of posts, do you still need/want me to write up a bio for Elite 4, number 3 spot?

And are you still after another Team Sol commander, as I belive that is the one you thought was missing several pages back?

Sorry to basically bump my questions, but it might make them easier to find, and since I'm finally not getting the propagating message, I thought it might not be a bad time to get a quick post in.

Well, the positions are still open if you want them. It's your call~

Also, MM, do you intend to take a starter trainer? The only reason I ask is because if you don't, then I can move things along for the starter trainers. If you do, I have no problems waiting for you to get the app up and post (within the week though, ideally) so you're included. You've said you'd like to, I just want to confirm it. xD

I know it's a bit early but for my first pokemon I wanted to catch a nidoran (male) is it ok to ask that they are catchable before the first gym? :)

Thanks!

Oh! Yeah, I think I'm going to refrain from doing a starter trainer. I'm just going to make Tryllia my main and have her travel around and be part of the main action, once the plot starts rolling. Since I'm making the Elite Four guy her brother, he pretty much lets her know what's going on, etc.

Although, her lack of a flying Ghost type that can learn HM02 will severely hinder her travelling speed. :hmmm:

Himeno: You'll be given your Pokegear after you get your starter, along with five Pokeballs.

Squid: Actually, that is a manageable request, since I have the Nidoran listed on Route 2 in my half-finished document of doome...shifting them to the first route is fine with me.

Anyone else want to catch something specific early on? Within reason, of course. I'm fairly flexible when it comes to putting Pokemon on routes, although rarer species or the more unusual ones you'd expect to be found in a specific habitat will be found there.

MM: Alrighty, thanks for the clarification~

OK, so next post (or the post after) Rose will distributing starters! I've decided that she'll just let them all out, and then you can have your selected starters bond with you how you please.

Also, regarding Pokeballs: you may catch a total of five Pokemon along every route. Once you have caught five Pokemon, you need to go to a town. You don't have to say you went and bought more balls each time; it is implied that you re-stocked. Then you can go out and catch more. This is to prevent people from depopulating the entire region. xD

Don't worry, I'll make a note of all this (hopefully I'll remember to cover everything) in the information thread, I'm just mentioning it here.

Alright in that case:

Elite Four Member: Number 3.

Name: Tsukiumi Natsuo

Age: 22

Gender: Female

Hometown: Amaranth Town

Appearance: Fairly tall at 5'9" Tsukiumio has pale skin and blonde hair trailing down her back. Set into a face that would fit the description of perfect to a "T" are a pair of steely blue/grey eyes, which sit slightly hidden behind her fringe.

She is normally seen wearing a quite short white dress, with a black cardigan hanging over her shoulders to cover them, the arms dangling down either side of her chest. When not battling she wears a pair of brown, knee high boots which lace all the way up to the top. When battling however, she prefers to change into a pair of flat, black plimsoll type shoes.

Personality: More often than not, Tsukiumi is very quiet, appearing to be deep in thought. She keeps herself to herself, and only really opens up to those who she cares about, or who she has had a chance to get to know, and perhaps travelled with.

However when battling she becomes another person entirely. She explodes with emotion and passion in these situations. Where she might normally be quiet and collected, she would instead be all over the place, egging her pokémon on and shouting from the sidelines.

Bio: Born in Amaranth Town to two of the most caring parents imaginable, for several years Tsukiumi lived a happy life. However when she was just 12, shortly after her and her parents had made the trip to Amber Town, her parents disappeared. They had both been scientists, and when she returned home, alone, there were any number of rumours flying around the town, some saying that they may even have been abducted by Team Sol to work on some sort of project. For the next few years, Tsukiumi lived alone, with nothing but her pokémon for company.

She had been rather unlucky with the timing when turning up at the lab, and all that was available was an Eevee that the professor had caught only a few days before, but she was more than happy to acceptit as her own. Over the time the two of them spent together, Tsukiumi grew to love her pokémon almost as much as the family she missed, and when out walking one night, and a display not only of gratitude for the love it had received, and to show that it too loved it's trainer Eevee became an Umbreon before her very eyes.

From then onwards, Tsukiumi collected pokémon of the Dark type exclusively, overcoming their various weaknesses by capturing and training very specific pokémon, that would be able to beat even those that were normally strong against Dark types.

Tactically impressive, she battled many opponents and in no time not only had 8 gym badges, but was on her way to the pokémon league. However here she struggled to beat each member, and by the end, both her and her pokémon were exhausted. However the fourth member along with the organisers of the elite four saw her true abilities for what they were, and offered her a place amongst the elite four themselves.

Level: 76

Ability: Synchronise

Personality: Extremely protective of it's trainer, given their history, despite being in it's ball most of the time, whenever it is let out it will growl and bark at those who it beleives are a threat to Tsukiumi, and if after that, it may even attack, depending on the situation

Brief history: See character's history.

Pokemon species: Absol

Nickname: N/A

Whilst travelling alone, Tsukiumi was warned of an imminent rock slide by this Absol, which was injured in the very same incident. Pokemon species: Tyrannitar

Additional moves: Rain Dance, Double Team, Giga Impact

If possible, I'd like to get a Shroomish and/or a Poochyena early on.

I think something water or flying type for me.

Maybe Pidgey/Spearow or a random Staryu/Goldeen.

Poochyena was mentioned above, might look into catching one of those too.

Could i possibly gain access to a Houndour early on, with my starter being a piplup im going to be at a major disadvantage (as will all water typed starter pokemon) with the first gym

Eh, the only pPokemon I'll need right at the start would be Bellsprout and Geodude (in that order, obviously. No way I can catch a Geodude with a Cyndaquil.)

So.... it's up to you. But in most of the games, I've come across Bellsprout before I hit the first gym leader.

Hey Erza, wanna split off and buddy up?

I'm quite content with my Charmander for now. But if Nidoran are being available in the first route, I might do after one of those. :hmmm:

*stretch*

I think who I travel with will switch on and off between who's there and who's not. I guess I'll end up being an enigma, traveling straight forward with anyone.

X3 that'll be fun for rivals. If I happen to be traveling with your rival and you want to do a 2v2 battle, I'll end up with the rival. Then, I travel with you, and rival shows up demanding same thing, and I end up with you. :x3:

Oh so much fun.

We can do if you want Chan. Might make it a bit more interesting.

In other new:

Team Sol Commander #3

Name: Michael Taskan

Age: 27

Gender: Male

Hometown: Byzantium Town.

Appearance: Standing at over 6'6" Michael is a literal Behemoth of a man. He spends the majority of his time in the gym, building even further upon his rather impressive set of muscles.

He wears the standard uniform of a Team Sol Commander with a few of his own additions. On his right hand is a rather large platinum ring, taken from one of the many homes he has ransacked looking for precious items in his years as a thug. He also carries with him a small pad, recording not only each and every victory he has attained, but every pokémon he has stolen from a trainer on the command f his master, sort of as his own personal record, just in case anyone every questions his leadership.

A fair skinned man, he has an unusual condition which meant his hair went completely white when he was only around 8 years old. His hair is left at about shoulder length, and he never bothers to do anything with it, normally just leaving it to it's own devices. He has a fairly prominent "roman" nose, and dark hazel eyes, which are normally surrounded by dark rings, belying his love of a decent night life.

Personality: Almost entirely the opposite of what one would expect considering he is a commander for Team Sol. When not at work he is the life of the party, more popular than any other guy in the room, mostly with the ladies.

Even when at work, he would probably be considered the "joker" of the group. He never takes anything particularly seriously, and occassionally this has caused him to come to blows not only with his fellow commanders, but his boss as well, however he takes it all in his stride, after all, he's good at what he does, and he knows it.

His confidence and arrogance show alongside his other traits. As he knows he is good at what he does, it pushes him to even greater deeds in the name of his team, able to defeat trainers far above his own skill level. However this can only go so far, and his arrogance has let him down more than once, thinking he could defeat not only trainers who were more experienced than himself, but in far greater numbers.

His ego may have taken a blow once or twice because of this, but due to his out-of-work popularity, it always recovers before long, and he returns to his normal, loud and outgoing self.

Bio: Born in Byzantium town to parents who were never sure if they wanted a child, he got everything he could ever want, except perhaps the love of caring parents.
So the day he turned ten he travelled to Amber Town to get his first pokémon, and along the way he got to know as many pepole as possible, as he never knew when knowing someone here or there might be useful.

After he got his pokémon he was able to continue travelling, realising that he would probably never need to return home. As such he continued his journey picking up new pokémon, and meeting new people.

At about the age of 17 he has all but fallen into his current personalility, and he joined up to a new and rising group known as Team Sol. He rapidly worked his way through the ranks by impressing his superiors, until he had reached the highest rank there was, Commander #3 of Team Sol.

Battle theme: N/A

For Pokemon:

Pokemon species: Arcanine

Nickname: N/A

Gender: Female

Level: 39

Ability: Intimidate

Personality: A ferocious fighter, yet an amazing pokémon to see at the same time.
When battling it is merciless and unrelenting, not unlike it's master, battling to the bitter end, and obeying it's master's every command. When not needed to battle, she is more than happy to help her master impress the ladies.

Brief history: Caught as a Growlithe, but made to evolve into an Arcanine as soon as possible, to improve the attractiveness of the pokémon to onlookers then trained harshly and endlessly until it could almost tell what's master was going to say before he even said it.

Additional moves: Flamethrower, Fire Blast

Pokémon Species: Weezing

Nickname: N/A

Gender: Male

Level: 37

Ability: Levitate

Personality: N/A

Brief history: Again, forced to train endlessly and learn the most powerful moves it could so that Michael could defeat anyone who dared oppose his position.

Additional moves: Shadow Ball, Thief

Pokémon species: Arbok

Nickname: N/A

Gender: Male

Level: 35

Ability: Intimidate

Personality: N/A

Brief history: As with all other pokémon, caught as low as possible and then forced to learn it's strongest moves.

Additional Moves: N/A

Pokémon Species: Persian

Nickname: N/A

Gender: Male

Level: 38

Ability: Limber

Personality: Another quite similar to Arcanine. Whilst fighting, entirely focused on the goal at hand, winning for his master, as the consequences for losing don't bear thinking about. When not battling more than happy to walk around folloing his master, helping him grab the attention of those who pass him by.

Brief history: The first pokémon he ever caught himself, Persian has some sentimental
value to him, but may be the only one he would ever treat how most trainers would consider "normally" from time to time. Due to this, it has been trained differently, and whilst it doesn't have the same actual strength as his other pokémon it seems to respond better to him for much longer in almost all situations.

Additional Moves: N/A

That is now me all up to date bios-wise, ready to be approved/struck down!

Hrm I just realised that MM's 5th Gym leaders pokemon are higher than mine and I am the 6th leader haha. I will bump my pokemon up to 41, 37, 35 and 35

I hope that is ok? it makes more sense to me haha

Erza, those bios look OK to me. Your Commander's codename shall be Commander Neto, mmmyes.

I've incorporated most of the Pokemon requested into the first three routes, meaning you'll have access to them relatively early, if not immediately. I'll update the info post with data regarding the first few areas a little later on.

Before I post anything, though, I'd like to know who is travelling with whom. Just so I've got an idea of who is doing what before we move things along proper.

Personally, I don't mind who Jennifer goes with, she's pretty easy to put with anyone. However, since she's established a tense sort of understanding with Robert, perhaps those two should go together? Elite Four kids, and all. xD

Well so far it looks like I might be traveling with hime and noct's character... *maybe Addle* bit that would be more than 3
