Robert watched as Twinblade and Annelise tended to Ricard's wounds. "You are a puzzle. You love Ricard, yet you fight on the side that wishes to destroy the peace which he fights to protect and everything he cares about." Robert commented. "You won't get him to abandon everything he holds dear, everything he wishes to protect, so why try and make him throw it all away? If you really cared about him, you would support him and be his pillar of strength, not his mortal enemy."
About that moment, Freya arrived on the scene. She saw Annelise and an unknown woman tending to Ricard's wounds. Alleria had her sword out, and Robert was standing on the other side of the bridge lecturing, most likely to the stranger that was initially treating Ricard with items.
She breathed a sigh of relief before regaining her composure. "I was wondering what was taking you so long." she spoke before she approached Annelise and knelt down beside her, keeping a weary eye on the stranger who her son identified as one of the enemy. "How is your friend, Annelise?" she asked.

"It should take about an hour per item at most, and we have approximately four hours before sunrise. I have already explained the battle strategies to the troops, and they will be ready as soon as the horn is blown. The dragon riders are resting next to their silver dragons and will be ready to take off to land the first strike against the enemy once one of the sentries spots the enemy." Fratley explained before waiting for the king's decision.
The dragon riders were the newest troops of Burmecia, founded by his wife after the Kuja Crisis. While most of the silver dragons that poured out from the top of the Iifa Tree were slain, some survived and began to breed on the mountainside. The Burmecians made it a point to hunt them down. But on one raid, Freya and Fratley had come across some unhatched dragon eggs, and Freya remembered how Kuja had a silver dragon tamed enough to ride it and have it fight for him. It was Freya's suggestion that the silver dragons could be raised and tamed, thus giving birth to the new military force. That was 15 years ago. The dragons proved to be loyal companions to their riders and with the proper training, were easy to maintain and train.
Fratley turned his head as the Alexandrian knight and an unfamiliar face entered. "This is an important meeting. What is it you want?" Fratley asked, wondering why the guards at the door didn't question them first. The throne room was not supposed to be an open forum to the public during a crisis.
