You wake in a decently lit cave, it's almost a perfect dome with only one door exiting.
There are strange engraved runes forming a circle with drawings in it on the wall behind, you opposing the door, and you find yourself in the company of a strange mix of people in here.
Air is dank and long-since used up, doesn't help that the lights in here are three torches fastened on the walls. Walls are surprisingly dry even though it seems you are indeed in a rock-cave.

The only thing that takes any focus away from the door, torches and runes on the wall is a scroll... Floating in the air about a meter off the ground... It's between you and the door. There is no string or pedestal that keeps it standing; just floating there.

Though, there is that one lingering question: Where is this, what happened and who are these other guys?
Whomever did this seems to have left you with at least parts with your gear.

Perhaps the scroll has a hint?

You are waking up, anyone can interact with anything in the room. First come first serve, no post order.
I recommend taking this as a form of introduction between characters.

Dialogue between yourselves need no GM interaction, only when NPC's or "the world" is interacted with.

Rhys carefully studies his surroundings, then quickly takes a study of the strangers in the room with him. In a neutral tone, he says, "I take it I'm not the only one here confused as hell," while keeping a hand near the hilt of a gunsword.

He notices a rune upon the wall near him. "I feel like I've seen this before," he mutters to himself.

--------------------

Action: Rhys studies a rune.

Syrua opens his eyes to a dome-shaped sealing above. He sits up slowly while rubbing through his hair to get it out of his eyes and to remove any debris that might have been there. He quickly scans his surroundings noticing the odd, yet random floating scroll then his eyes land on the person that seemed to be staring at the wall behind him. He eyes all the people and the fact that they're all armed, noting such to be prepared for the worst.

He turns his body standing up to face the first person to break the silence. In response, with a hint of caution in his voice, "My thoughts exactly. I don't know what to make of this situation, this place or the rest of you."

Syrua's right Elvish ear twitches in response to a strange feeling he is sensing from this room. He slowly moves closer to the wall near the unknown character studying it, but keeps his distance as not to alarm them or stay out of reach of they're weapon in case the situation arises. His eyes get more narrow as he walks towards the wall. "Could this be...," Syrua says with curiosity in his voice as the runes become more clear in sight.

*****************************

Actions: Stands up and walks towards the rune-ridden wall.

Upon regaining consciousness and refocusing, Sporuus slowly takes in his surroundings. He pats a hand at his belts, heaving a sigh of relief knowing he still had his belongings. With some effort, the mushkin pushes himself to his feet. Still feeling a little woozy, he rubs the back of his neck.

"Ugh... none o' ya knows where we are?" he frowned. "Didn't huff my spores, did ya?"

After a moment, he shook his head with a weak chuckle. "I'm just messing around. Do ya at least have names?"

The floating scroll catches his eye. Sporuus couldn't help but wander up to it, since it drifted just at about his height. Curious, he gives it a prod with one of his long fingers.

-==============-

Action: Stand up, poke scroll.

Investigating the runes only show that you might or might not know one or two of the myriad covering the wall. Not really aiding you.

The scroll falls to the floor with a hollow paper-tube sound.
It's made of heavy duty but fine paper, 2/3 of a foot across (fuck inches) seems to have a wax seal on one side of it keeping it shut close, perfectly white in color. More than just a scroll you see now that it is just quality paper rolled up and sealed closed on the center-point with a wax seal.

"No offense, but names, I believe at this point, are somewhat of an unnecessary formality," Syrua said while still studying the runes.

Syrua suddenly turns at the sound at his back with his hand going to the hilt of his saber as he comes full circle. Syrua's eyes widened in caution, speaking to the short, mushroom-headed person in front of him, "What did you do?! PLEASE be careful, none of us can say what's going to happen!"

Syrua questioned if the magic was produced by him, but quickly shook that thought. He moved toward the scroll slowly, never moving his hand from his saber. He looks down at the wax seal, investigating its properties.

**********************************************

Action: Syrua walks towards the scroll and investigates the wax seal.

----------------
+++GM Note+++
----------------
"Investigating it's properties", made me laugh ^^

It's a simple wax seal, the mark used to 'stamp' the wax seems to be a very intricate 'swirl'. It's hard to make it out as details are lacking due to the logic of fine marks in a lump of wax.

Lyrnya snoozed peacefully, despite lying on hard ground. She was having a very nice dream about floating and bouncing of fluffy white clouds high in the sky when a cacophony of noise sent her dream-self plummeting to the ground and waking her up. Cracking open her eyes, Lyrnya grumpily sat up and complained.

Mou..... who is it being so NOISY in the morning?!

In front of her was not her fellow Cheytans, but a bunch of strangers and the clear sky was not above her head, but a great dome. Caution kicked into over gear as Lyrnya bounced to her feet and leveled her pole arm at the group. The three others that she saw were congregating at some weird, floating scroll. For all she knew, they could have kidnapped her for some devious cult ritual

Who are you people!? Where have you taken me!?

**********************************************

Action: Lyrnya woke up and questions group on their identity and current location.

Sporuus backed away upon being yelled at, holding his empty hands up innocently. "Oy, oy! Calm yourself now, I only touched it!" he sighs in an exasperated tone. As the uppity and noisy elf approached the scroll, the Mushkin wandered to the last of the group to awaken, grumbling something about 'distrusting elves'.

Yet upon being threatened by this last person, the magic mushroom frowned. "I'm afraid I haven't the faintest clue where I am either, miss. But I can tell you that I am Sporuus Sopp." Rubbing the back of his neck awkwardly, he adds, "...now can you please put that down? There's no need for any of this violence. Not this early in the morn, if that's truly what time it is."

-===============-

Action: Attempt introductions.

As the group in the cave had their own ideas of what to do, be it introduction or trying to make sure no one did anything strange and burst into fire a gentle glow and strange hum filled the stone dome.
The runes on the wall opposite to the door were glowing, oscillating in colors between purple, blue, yellow and red. Almost looking like the engraved runes were spinning around on the wall.
In the center a pool of energy looking like disturbed water what could be best described as a lizard man came floating horizontally through into the room.
As the body fully came through it hovered there for a few seconds as the magical pool suddenly closed, the same force must have been holding the creature afloat, as soon as the portal closed the reptile fell to the stone floor with a noticeable thud and seems to wake. (fell about 3ft/1m)

Appearance: Garthal's appearance is rather typical for any sort of lizardman- he stands roughly 6 feet tall, with a bulky physique, particularly muscular in his forearms and legs. His body is clad in rough, dark-cyan scales (except his front torso, which is somewhat smoother and tan colored), and his hands and feet end in short, pointed black claws. As his namesake suggests, a tail with a ridge of stubby spikes protrudes from behind him. He bears a couple small claw-shaped scars, one on his chest and another on his left foreleg, though he shows little to no sign of minding them.
His head protrudes in a snout-shape much like other reptiles- he has a long mouth with small noseholes, golden slit-shaped eyes, and no blatantly visible ears. His teeth are sharp, slightly crooked but keeping firmly in line with the inside of his mouth. A small pair of curved, ivory horns adorns the back of his head, giving him a nearly dragonlike appearance- however, closely examining his head reveals that a glue or some similar substance attaches them to his head, suggesting they are merely an accessory taken from some other creature's head.
His only attire is a series of crudely-sewn leathers, colored a brownish-red and decorated with deep red tribal markings, which he wears raggedly on his torso (secured around/covering his waist more than his upper torso). If you consider small trinkets as "attire", this would also include a loosely-strung necklace of various fangs, pulled from an assortment of anonymous beasts.

The lizard screeched out in surprise as it landed on its back, its eyes stretching open.

"Ugh... Garthal head hurt..." a groggy voice moaned from its direction. The creature grasped the floor with a pair of claws, straightening on the floor as if to crawl on all fours- but then sprang its arms against the ground, standing upright much like a man. Although the monster-like person stood in a small daze for a few seconds, it quickly regained its balance, reading its surroundings only to be stunned again.

"Wh-Who you all!?" he stammered roughly, shaking his head as he quickly took in his surroundings. "Where Garthal!? Where home!?" he shouted in a panic, looking at the unfamiliar men around the room. Various, more specific questions pierced the lizard's head, overwhelming him too greatly to ask any of them. Desperate to at least understand more of where he was, his eyes darted to the cavern's walls, catching notice of the flickering flames atop sticks. He rushed towards the torches without a second thought, reaching out to pull the light source from the wall...

----------------------------------

Action: Attempt to pry one of the torches from the walls.

The newest arrival woke in a jolt, one of the first things he did was to rush to a torch on the wall as soon as he realized he was no longer at home.

No longer than a few seconds after the lizard had gotten himself a torch, the runes activated again and another person floated through it.
This time it was a human, a tall and physical one at that. Like with the lizard the portal closed as soon as the new arrival entered and he fell to the stone floor with a thud. (apperance from caracter sheet in spoiler tag)

- Appearance: Gennaen is an imposing physical specimen, standing 6'6" tall, with broad shoulders, belying his distaste for violence. Weighing at 245 pounds, his body weight is distributed evenly across his frame. His head is completely shaved of hair, and he has eyes of a brown so dark it looks black in the daylight, Gennaen's facial features do little to hide the dark energy emanating from his being. He is usually dressed in a flowing do bohk made of enchanted spellthread that absorbs light, causing it to appear at various times to be colored midnight blue, dark purple, or black. The garment is belted at the waist by a belt made of the same spellthread.

As soon as he hit the floor, Gennaen leapt directly to his feet in a crouched position, ready to defend himself from any oncoming attack. After a few brief moments to take stock of his situation, he sensed no threat from the motley collection of characters he had joined. Looking around the cave in which he found himself, he noticed a set of runes on one wall, a door at the other end, and a scroll sitting in the middle of the floor. Having no knowledge of runelore, Gennaen all but ignored that wall of the cave. He gave the door some consideration, but guessed that doors are normally locked, and locked doors need keys, of which he had none. So his mind rested upon the scroll at the center of the cave. Walking over somewhat carefully, he unrolled the scroll and perused its contents.

=========

Action: Read the scroll.

The scroll is made of thick and rather well made paper, after unrolling the roll it doesn't try to revert to a rolled form, rather flattens out.
The seal falls to the floor and melts as it hits the cold stone ground with a gooey splat.

I'm putting the contents of the scroll in a spoiler tag, so that those who wish to keep it "hidden" as they are not actually reading it can get it their way.

Greetings.

In the next room, there are a vial for each of you. Drink it and the next door will open.
Attempts of tricking the system will end up with purging of you as a group.

Picture below is a brand at the end, in-stead of a name or seal.
It seems to be actually branded onto the paper. It sort of matches the now melted wax seal.

I'm afraid I haven't the faintest clue where I am either, miss. But I can tell you that I am Sporuus Sopp....now can you please put that down? There's no need for any of this violence. Not this early in the morn, if that's truly what time it is.

Lyrnya squinted in curiosity at the being. She knew the world was wide and vast, but she has never seen something as... unique as this being. Still, he showed no sign of hostility, so Lyrnya lowered her spear somewhat. It didnt take long for it come straight back up as the room began to hum and a rather sizable lizard man stepped out of what appears to be a portal of sort and flopped to the ground. If he was some enemy, it was the WORST entrance she had ever seen.

Ugh... Garthal head hurt... Wh-Who you all!? Where Garthal!? Where home!?

The lizard, whom Lyrnya guessed was this Garthal he keeps mentioning, yanked the torch from its sconce and all of a sudden, yet another person, just as, if not bigger, came through. Lyrnya was becoming increasingly concernd with all these people suddenly warping in and slowly backed up, making sure no one had an easy way of flanking or getting behind her. Lyrnya panicked as the new man unrolled the scroll and before she could complete her warning, it unfurled completely.

Wait! Dododododo don't.... aw.... crud.... How reckless can you get! That scroll, for all we knew, could have exploded or wiped us all out!

**********************************************

Action: Lyrnya complains loudly at
Gennaen

Sporuus blinked as the lizard seemed to tumble out of nowhere. He peered up at where the portal once was, then back at the lizard that scrambled for a torch.

"Well, that explains how we got here," the mushroom mumbled, scuttling away from the lizard. He never got along very well with flames. Having fire wielded by someone in a fearful state was dangerous.

Yet one more appeared out of nowhere. By now, Sporuus was becoming nervous. All he did was poke the scroll! Did he inadvertently cause some sort of mass kidnapping spell? He hoped not!

If nothing else,this newcomer was brave enough to actually snatch up the scroll and open it up. As amusing as a sudden fireball to the face would have been, that didn't seem to be the purpose of the scroll. With no apparent trap, Sporuus looked up at the tall one with the scroll. "Oy, what's it say? Anything about why we're here?" he asked.

-============-

Action: Blame self, inquire about scroll.

Wait! Dododododo don't.... aw.... crud.... How reckless can you get! That scroll, for all we knew, could have exploded or wiped us all out!

After reading the curious contents of the scroll, Gennaen simply opened his hands and let the document fall to the floor. "Could have. But didn't." Without so much as a glance at the petite young woman that questioned him, he began walking toward the door on the opposite end of the cave.

Oy, what's it say? Anything about why we're here?

Hardly breaking stride, he stared at the ... man? .... mushroom? ... mushman? .... thing that spoke to him. His eyes widened very slightly for a fleeting moment in mild surprise at the creature of a type he had never encountered before. He quickly resumed his original pace toward the door and answered over his shoulder. "Go through the door and drink the vial. If you don't you get-" he waved a hand dismissively, " ... purged or something."

Gennaen placed his right hand on the door and glanced over his shoulder. "Coming?"

=====

Action: Open the door.

The lizardman grasped the flaming stick, feeling a certain security with its warm glow, as the runic portal lit up again.

"What happen!?" Garthal yelped, holding a crude stone axe in front of his face defensively. "How drawing glow!?"

Before he knew it, the portal dropped another unfamiliar face right in front of his eyes.

"... drawing bring stranger...?" The lizard relaxed his arms, as he began to think more rationally. It certainly looked like the unfamiliar person it brought landed around the same area he did, after all. "Drawing take Garthal? Drawing take others?" he wondered, the torch in his hand flickering as he took another, calmer look at his fellow prisoners, too lost in thought to notice the man approach the mysterious parchment...

"Wait! Dododododo don't.... aw.... crud.... How reckless can you get! That scroll, for all we knew, could have exploded or wiped us all out!"

"Stranger... worry?" Garthal thought out loud, slowly drawing himself away from the wall, as he leaned in closer towards the female samurai. "... strangers not bad? Strangers friends?"

"Oy, what's it say? Anything about why we're here?"

"Go through the door and drink the vial. If you don't you get... purged or something."

"What purged?" the simple-minded lizard asked more, taking care to keep his axe and torch a comfortable distance away as he followed the human to the door. His eyes traced the scroll as he walked past it, hoping to receive some answers by studying it, only to fail to understand it beyond what Gennaen had explained. "Purged bad...?"

---------------------------

Action: Follow Gennaen to the door

The door is large, not double-door large but much larger than it needs to. Seeming to be made of heavy worn wood held together with thick strips of metal. Though it looks heavy and annoying it was surprisingly easy to open. Sliding on it's oiled hinges without creaking or showing any resistance.
The door opens into a room, about 3m wide and 5 long. In the end is another similar door but on the sides are a row of vials. They are all filled with strange liquids and though they look similar there are distinct differences in them. Be it that one has a glow, one has some 'breadcrumbs' floating about, one even has a small rock in it...

Every one of the six (6) vials has a name written in the air over it, though the name is in odd runes as soon as Gennaen and Garthal approach the doom two of the vials' runes flicker and now show their names in a language they understand.

----------------
+++GM Note+++
----------------
There are one vial for each of you, feel free to go nuts on the description and taste.
Even for the most herpderp of persons, he will somehow realize that "this is his potion", the runes alter so that the drinker will know it's for him/her. Even if they have to show a crude drawing of said person.

Just to get some speed on this, after a potion is ingested, feel free to choose your first skill from the skill tree! ^^
Simply list the skill in the "list at the end" of your post, RP out learning this ability however you want!

Also, a question, feel free to answer in the SU/D thread or as an OOC at the end of your post, does it look easier to read if I have the "flavor text" in a quote bubble like this?
I'm trying to get a seperation between the "in character text" and GM notes. Just to get the feel a little better. ^^

Somewhat in disbelief, Sporuus picked up the dropped scroll, opening it up and skimming through the page. At least it was written in the common tongue, so deciphering it proved to be no issue. He gave the writing a skeptical look, though decided to roll the scroll back up and tuck it away in a pouch.

Hearing the confused lizard, the mushkin bit his lip a little before trying to answer him as plainly as possible. "Yes, purging is very bad."

Seeing nothing else of interest in the room, Sporuus scuttled after the lizard and the larger person. The vials along the wall seemed to have an interesting spell cast over them. There was one bottle the mushkin was drawn to. What caught his attention was the floating runes that seemed to morph into vine-like lettering that tangled into each other. As tempting as it was to poke the letters, Sporuus remembered what happened last time.

He picked up the jar-like bottle and swirled its contents. His contained some sort of purple silty liquid. With some effort, the cork was pulled off, releasing a sweet nectar-like scent. Really, Sporuus was suspicious about this entire thing, but a passive threat of a purging had him uneasy.

"...well...I suppose we should play along. Here goes nothing."

The thick liquid was poured on the ground and Sporuus stepped on top of the puddle he just made. Oddly, the potion was quickly sucked into his root-like feet. The mushroom crossed his arms and waited for several moments while the liquid was completely drained. There was an odd tingling sensation, but he didn't feel much different.

"...dandelion and burdock. Interesting flavor," he blinked. Though upon realizing he may have been stared at for his method of consumption, Sporuus looked over at the rest of the group. "...what?"
