Daylight had finally come around.

Natasha Remora opened her eyes, sitting up and instantly noticed the grey clouds through the window next to the bed. She heard Aunt Fran downstairs cooking away like no tomorrow. After taking a shower and getting ready, she ran downstairs as fast as her legs could take her. She came to a halt and stopped panicking when she saw that everything was in order in the kitchen.

"Natasha! Morning, sweetie!" Fran was beaming away.

"Is this even possible?" Natasha half-chortled.

"Yeah, can you believe it? I'm actually cooking scrambled eggs and I haven't burned down the kitchen yet!" she chuckled, placing the food on a plate for her niece. "Anyway, I gotta get going. The boss'll have my head if I'm late again."

Natasha grabbed a fork and dug right in. "You go right ahead! You've been here too much lately. Someone's gotta bring the money in. And besides, I'm sure Sophia'll give me a ride to school."

Fran smiled sadly, kissed her on the top of the head, grabbed the car keys and was out of the house like the speed of light. Natasha sighed to herself, preferring to eat the eggs quickly. For the past month or so, she'd been unable to eat food at a normal speed or else she would be put off it altogether. As soon as she finished eating, Natasha grabbed her bag and headed for the door.

"Natasha!" exclaimed Sophia, appearing at the doorway.

"Sophia, hi," Natasha replied, brushing a strand of hair out of her face. "Um, you're on time."

"Two minutes early, but seriously ... who's counting?" she giggled, grabbing her arm and leading her to the red Ford Fiesta. However, Natasha let go as soon as she saw the car. She was frozen in fear, staring blankly at the ground. "Natasha, c'mon! We'll be late!"

"I can't, I ..."

"Nat, this is me you're talking about. Safest driver in the world. I am NOT gonna let ANYTHING happen to you. Now get in the car and SHUT the HELL up."

With that, Sophia opened the door and shoved Natasha inside. A small, mischevious smile appeared on her animated face, which only indicated that she had a plan in mind.

Remilia Scarlet awoke from bed about an hour before everyone else did. This is a routine that she's gone through for years. She rather enjoys having at least one hour to herself every morning before everyone wakes up and starts to think. As she got out of bed, her hair hit her arms. It was getting rather long, but she liked it that way. It was unique to have long hair now a days, as it seemed every girl was cutting it short, or doing all sorts of weird things with it.

She walked over to her computer and turned it on. It took proximately 5 minutes to boot up. So she walked to her minifridge in her room and pulled out a coke. The cold, smooth, exterior of the can was refreshing. Opening it, she drank it sip by sip as the refreshing coldness of the liquid chilled her body. Sitting down in the chair in front of her computer, she saw the Windows logo appear before her. She typed in her password, and a picture of Yoda and Luke Skywalker appeared. It was her desktop background, one of her favorites.

Logging on to Windows Live Messenger, she noticed that Raistlin was on. As always, she swore he never slept.

R. Scarlet: Hi.
R. Dispidia: Hi.
R.S: Do you ever sleep?
R.D: When I have to. Which isn't often.
R.S: What are you doing this morning?
R.D: I was playing with fire. Which is typical. Now I'm playing vidya games.
R.S: Ohh... Which one?
R.D: Persona 3 Portable.
R.S: That doesn't come out until next week.
R.D: They're shipped to Gamestop about a week early. I stole a copy.
R.S: You shouldn't do that.
R.D: I guess you don't want the copy I stole for you.
R.S: Wait... I do...
R.D: Good, I'll bring it to your house today.
R.D: Sometimes, I wonder why I even bother going to college. I can learn up on criminology all I want on my own. It doesn't take a degree to be a “sheriff” you know. It's like I'm going to college to learn how to be fucking Batman.
R.S: But it would be helpful to know, wouldn't it?
R.D: Yeah, only, our laws aren't the same as human laws.
R.S: I suppose. It's ironic for me to be going for a Psychology degree when I'm a Psychic.
R.D: You personify the term “redundant”. Anyway, I have to go for now. I've just gotten to the first full moon phase. May the Schwartz be with you.
R.S: Okay.

She logged off, and turned on her PS2. She rather liked the PS3 and Xbox360, but they didn't have as many good games on it. Popping in Dragon Quest VII just to listen to the music, she laid back in bed, and relaxed. She really wished the world could be... Quiet. It was hard enough that her parents were always gone, and they didn't teacher her how to turn off hearing thoughts. It would be even harder today when Raistlin came over to help her train it.

However, she also wondered how he made it to where she couldn't hear his. It was odd... She somewhat could, but it was is if he was never thinking about anything. It was just... Blank. Everytime she asked him, he never answered. She guessed that he was afraid that if she did find out, she could figure out a way to get past it.

She only had about 40 minutes left before the neighbors woke up and she started to hear their thoughts. They were always fighting, and the thoughts that the man and wife had about each other was awful. Little did the husband know, the wife was having him served divorce papers within the next week or so. Remilia could only imagine how horribly the man would react.

She turned off the PS2. She loved Dragon Quest, particularly DQVIII. The music of the game was beautiful, and she would often lose track of what she was doing the game because she would get caught up just listening to the soundtrack.

As she looked outside, she noticed what seemed to be flashes coming up from the street. Raistlin was already on the way here, and he was playing with fire. He, like Remilia, loved night time, when everyone was asleep. While she didn't have to hear anyone's thoughts because they were sleeping, Raistlin could play with his fire out in the open without fear of being seen.

Judging from his position, he would be at her front door in about 25 minutes. She was excited to get to try to train to control her Psychic abilities more. Yet, also afraid, because Raistlin was the one helping her to do it. He would stop if she needed to, but he would be relentless while they were training. He had told her at one point that he would help her train in hand to hand combat as well, but that aspect terrified her.

Raistlin had been training himself to mix his fire controlling ability in conjunction with martial arts. He had gotten good at it too. Just like her, his parents were gone for long periods of time. They worked overseas with their own company. Which is why Raistlin's house was so huge. He had it all to himself, and yet, he still manages to stay in his own room all day.

Not knowing what to do until his arrival, she laid back in bed, and dozed off.

Raistlin arrived at the front door of Remilia's house, and heard... Nothing. Usually she was fangasming over DQVIII music right now. He tried the door, but it was locked. Thinking that she had probably dozed off, he took out two paperclips, and picklocked her front door. Picking locks was quite easy once you figured out how. This would hopefully teach her a lesson in being prepared.

Walking very quietly down the hall, then up the stairs, he made it to her room. Her door was even open, and there he saw her. Laying down in her bed, not even putting proper clothes on. She was only wearing an oversized t-shirt that went down to her knees. She was obviously sleeping, unprepared for his arrival.

Putting his bag down on the floor lightly, he tiptoed to her bed. Once there, he touched her arm lightly.

She screamed. Raistlin felt her emotions, and got a quick glimpse of her thoughts, while Remilia felt pain, and somewhat violated. Almost screaming, she asked, “Why would you do that?!” To which Raistlin replied, “You were unprepared. Also, it appears I was right, you were fangasming to DQVIII music earlier.”

“You know how that effects me,” Remilia said, with a slight look of sadness upon her face, “I can't believe you would do that.” Raistlin smirked. “In order for you to get fully trained in that experience, you will have to get used to it, and learn how to stop it. Consider that a part of your training. Just because you have the pleasure of being my friend, doesn't mean I'm going to take it easy on you.” Somewhat shocked, Remilia could only nod, “I'm sorry. I-I'll be more prepared next time.”

He was in a public toilet, gazing into a mirror as he brushed his dark black hair back from his bright blue eyes, the mirror briefly reflecting the tint of purple that sparkled at the center of his pupils. Smoothing his ruffled traveling clothes, he began to remove them, leaning against the door with its broken lock as he got into slightly more casual clothes, a pair of black jeans, a white shirt in a refined black jacket.

The Christmas chill was still around, and Lucius wanted to stay warm- yet stylish- for the first day back at school. This comfortable, but good looking arrangement would do nicely, and with a little smoothing down, he didn't even look like he'd been in the wilderness for a week.

Looking in the mirror again, he boy gave a small smile. To any onlooker in the street, it would have looked innocent, the smile of a young boy. Yet it was more than that. So much more. It was a smile of triumph. A small reward to himself for all the careful planning that would come to fruition soon.

Now, though, it was getting late, and it was almost time to go. The smile falling off his face, Lucius pushed the toilet door open, stepping out into the shopping centre, full of people coming and going in the post Christmas rush.

As he stepped outside, a blast of cold wind hit him in the face. Ignoring it, not even blinking at the frigid sensation, he moved on. The school wasn't far from here, and he could walk there in a few minutes. Feet crunching on remnant snow, he kept pace from the shopping centre, to Tehera High School. He would have ordered a taxi, but somewhere in those closed off borders of emotion was fear. The same fear Natasha was no doubt feeling at the thought of a car.

Still, a little cold never did anyone any harm. And the longer he waited, the longer he could put off having to see his sister again. Would she try to approach him, or just stare at him from afar with her mouth open like a fish out of water? Not that it made any difference to Lucius, but it would be interesting to see.

As he arrived at the gates of the school, he put his hand on his chin, and expression of thoughtfulness forming on his face. There it was. He'd never been a huge fan of school, but there was one more reason he didn't want to enter that huge building today, or ever again, in fact.

Still, when everything happened and the world changed, Lucius wouldn't have to worry about school anymore. A few more days in there wouldn't make a difference.

"Asuka, wake up hon, you have school in a few hours," Asuka's mother shook her gently as her only surviving child was aroused from her sleep. In the background 'Sweet Disposition' by The Temper Trap blared loudly through her iPod's headphones. Her mother shook her head in slight amusement and removed the ear plugs from her daughter's ears, smoothing back an unruly lock of black hair behind her ear.

"'Morning mom, I'm up!" Asuka stretched and yawned loudly. Her ability to wake up abruptly had long since ceased to amaze her mother. Her parents were just thankful for everyday their daughter woke up unscathed . . . unharmed. They valued her life more than their own. As Asuka made her bed, she thought back to the fact that today was her first day back at school. She was a newly made sophomore and yet the slight change didn't really make her excited. No, it was the fact that she'd get to see all of her friends and acquaintances that put a bounce in her step.

She whistled the tune to The Temper Trap's song, replayed it with the press of her iPod's play/pause button, and shuffled to the bathroom. After washing her face, brushing her teeth, and dabbing a bit of facial moisturizer into her rosy cheeks, Asuka shouldered her backpack that she retrieved from her room, and bolted downstairs. Her schoolmate, Ren would be arriving shortly to accompany her to the school.

"So are you excited about the first day back?" Her mom asked as she seated herself next to Asuka. The bright girl nodded and then breakfast went off smoothly. By the time she was done talking about her class schedule, waving to her dad who'd emerged from his dojo, Ren had already showed up at her doorstep.

"Mr. and Mrs. Nagasaki, I'm here."

"Open the door for him Asuka and have a great day."

"Ditto to what your mom said, sweetheart. Love you."

"Love you guys too." Then she opened the door and gave her silver-haired friend Ren the biggest bear hug he'd probably ever received.

"Well glad to see you too," he chuckled and then they were off to school.

"I like what you're wearing today, it's so you!" exclaimed Sophia at the wheel.

Natasha smiled weakly, but even that faded away quickly. She was wearing a plain black t-shirt, navy blue jeans, sneakers and a denim dark blue jacket. Sophia had opted with a white t-shirt, black leggins, long blue coat, brown boots and a stylish blue and white patterned scarf. Natasha kept her eyes focused on the window next to her, wanting to avoid all hints of conversation.

"Thanks," mumbled Natasha.

"I think you're going to be in for a surprise when we get to school."

"Surprise? Sophia, you didn't plan anything stupid, did you?"

"Oh no, could be worse. Want me to just blurt it out?"

"It wouldn't be a surprise if you told me."

"Aww, whatever! I'm going to tell you, anyway. So my brother has kindly been offered to fill in as the new history teacher. Isn't that exciting?"

"Exciting? You're excited Richard's going to be your teacher?"

"Well, I'm not necessarily sure that -"

"SOPHIA, WATCH OUT!"

A truck came rushing at them through a red light. Sophia swerved the car around. The truck missed them by mere inches.

"I could've sworn that wasn't there and it shouldn't have gone through a red light!" yelled Sophia, her hand clenching and forming into a fist. However, she released it when she noticed the fear etched across Natasha's face. "Nat, look at me. You're fine. Nothing happened. C'mon, we're almost there."

She started the engine and sped to school as fast as she could, whilst keeping in the speed limit.

The two girls arrived five minutes. Natasha was still in fear, shocked that another car crash could've happened in the space of little over a month. Sophia swiftly got out of the car and ran to the other side, helping her best friend out. Natasha's face was paler than usual; she looked like she was ready to bring up those scrambled eggs she'd ate before.

"Nat, we're here," said Sophia, literally forcing her out of the vehicle. Natasha did not fight against her either. She stepped away from the car and on to the sidewalk quicker than anyone expected. "It's fine. We're here now. Listen, if you want to go to the nurse's office -"

"I should be fine," Natasha shook her head. She produced a weak smile and shrugged. "It's been a month. I should be getting over it now."

"There's no reason to be getting over something that serious after a month!" hissed Sophia half angrily and half worriedly. "You're going to be fine either way. You've got me, your aunt Fran and all your other friends. Now if anyone asks any questions and you don't wanna talk about it, let me know and I'll beat the crap out of 'em."

Natasha shrugged again. She walked with Sophia to the gates of the school. However, when she got there, she didn't realise the shock of yet another car crash would be replaced by the shock of seeing her twin brother there. She dropped her bag. As Sophia bent down to pick it up, Natasha felt the rage coming back. The memory of their parting of ways flooded back to her and her temper raging out of nowhere.

She rushed right up to Lucius, the purple dash in her blue eyes flaring with anger.

"Where the hell have you BEEN!?" she screamed, not even realising that she was making a scene outside the school. "I called you for days and you choose to come back NOW!? Me and Aunt Fran have been so worried! Why didn't you come back? Why? WHY DID YOU NOT CALL!?"

The panicky and confused thoughts of the people around her filled her mind. Natasha, as hard as she could, tried to block them out. They weren't important. Getting answers was.

Mystro woke up. His vision was still seemingly asleep, so his eyes took time to adjust to the light coming through his eastward window. The sun was right in his eyes and he hated it, and he never knew why, but he always still slept in the same room. He could easily avoid such frustration of waking to a glaring sun by sleeping in a different room, or moving his bed even. However, he also did like this because it meant that as soon as the sun was up, so was he, keeping him on a constant schedule.

He wandered on downstairs, still slightly asleep in his mind. Walking into the giant kitchen he looked to see if he could spot anything to eat. He seemed to be out of cereal, but he had some eggs. He would have to steal more cereal, since he had no money to buy it. But for now, it was time for some over-easy eggs.

Using the electrical stoke, he got out a pan and used butter to prevent the egg from sticking. H sat down at the kitchen table while he waited for it to heat up. Electric stoves were always so inefficient.

Waiting about 5 minutes, he cracked open two eggs and started cooking. Flipping them when ready. When they were done, he didn't even get a plate, instead he ate them right off of the pan. Usually he had toast, but he didn't have any bread. He ran out of that a few days ago.

Getting on his hoodie, he headed out the door into town. His mansion wasn't very far from the town, so it wasn't too bad of a walk. He could also get away with driving too, but he didn't want to have to constantly hassle with buying gas. He would have a job if only he cared an ounce to do so.

He had a usual target grocery store that he never got caught whenever he stole anything. But this was because of his elemental powers that some would say he abuses. Grabbing of the baskets for all the groceries some people used, he got some sliced bread, some cereal of various types, and a few snacks. Pretending to be browsing, he had figured out a blind spot in the security cameras. The walls of this building were made from brick, perfect for him to manipulate. When nobody was around and he knew he had a minute or so, he made the bricks grind themselves into powder so he could jump out and be behind the building. He then made them reconstruct themselves. Now he was walking back top his mansion as if nothing happened. He never stole anything he didn't need, so he wasn't being as bad as most thieves would do with his power.

Asuka walked hand in hand with Ren, who she still regarded as just a childhood friend, though he insisted on trying to make it into something more than friendship. Today was of no exception . . .

"So . . . has anyone caught your eye lately?" Ren wiggled his eyebrows in what he assumed was flirtatiousness; but he looked outrageous. Asuka had to bite back her laughter and instead just shook her head politely. He needed to shave down his bushy eyebrows . . . they were HIDEOUS! Manliness be damned, they shouldn't be that thick.

"No, I'm just enjoying the single life. You know, I think there are some girls in our class that would just loooooove to go out with you," Asuka chuckled. Ren's hazel eyes lit up in surprise and curiosity.

"Really?"

They turned a sharp corner to the left, narrowly avoiding a group of young kids speeding down the sidewalk with their skateboards.

"Yo, slow down you might hurt yourselves!" Asuka couldn't help but call out, those kids were her neighbors after all. They were all cousins, lived down the street with their uncle. They were well behaved for the most part so unsurprisingly they waved back to her and proceeded to slow it down.

"Really," she smirked.

After a few minutes, they arrived at a large imposing building. The school was fenced off by an impressive wrought iron gate that wrapped around the expanse of the school grounds. Tall elm trees proffered some shade from the sun. Although today it wasn't necessary to run for cover, as it was decidedly balmy and cool. A pleasant day out . . .

Waving their goodbyes to each other, Asuka went for the large elmwood main doors while Ren diverted from the main path to meet up with his other friends. Although Asuka was very approachable and extremely amiable, her outspoken demeanor didn't garner her that much friendly attention in return. She didn't have many friends but she was okay with not forcing anyone to return her calls or put in the extra effort. It was their loss.

"Hey Asuka!"

"AIMI!"

"Shut up! I can hear you all the way from China!" A garnet haired youth screeched as he turned around. Aimi, the girl in question had dyed bubble gum pink hair and was garbed in the same uniform as Asuka. School's requirements.

"Jin," Asuka greeted him in a mock serious tone. Regarding the seventeen year old as he rolled his emerald green eye contacts into place.

"Asuka," he hissed casually. He fingered his lip ring and helped Aimi carry the bulk of her books as they started their trek to class.

"You ready steady for first period?"

"Ready to die! Ugh, I swear our teacher, Sensei Tanaka, WANTS us to suffer." Asuka moaned. Their first period teacher for Biology had a penchant for assigning them homework every single day. Even for the weekends! What NICE teacher did that with a smile plastered on their face! And he lived to stamp F's on their papers. He even said so. Evil teacher . . .

"Oh come on, I'm sure he's lightened up a bit, this year." Aimi tried to brighten the mood. Asuka and Jin glowered at her moodily.

"Wait, 'till he gets laid, then maybe his briefs will loosen up a bit," they chuckled at that and walked in to their first period class. Today was gonna be hell.

Reine smiled as the sun shone on her face. Yawning loudly, she stretched her arms before pushing herself out of bed. Looking out of her window, she screamed,” MORNING, WORLD!” As if in response, a cloud came in to block out the sun. Chuckling to herself, she quickly left her room down her empty house to her toilet, where she quickly washed up.

She then changed into her favorite set of clothing, and went for her kitchen. Today would be her first day of school, after having just moved into some neighborhood of Tehera. It was rather convenient too, and close to her school. Presently, she was living alone, though her parents would join her at a later date. What really made her think about them were the words they left her with.

“Be aware of your surroundings there. Things there are not like how it is here.”

‘What’s so strange about this place here’, Reine thought to herself as she stared out of her kitchen window through her light blue eyes. Shaking her head, she dismissed it casually,” They think too much sometimes.”

Opening her refrigerator door, she took a quick glance into it only to realize nothing was inside. Laughing at her moment of forgetfulness, she recalled the fact she had just moved into her new house not too long ago. Going back to her room, she grabbed her school bag and left the house. “To the grocery store then,” She said to herself cheerfully as she locked her door, turning to walk down to the store.

Her parents had apparently checked out the neighborhood before deciding to purchase this house. It was close enough to her high school on one hand, and also the grocery store. Though, Reine had to admit she wasn’t really impressed, considering the fact they were in the property business, and could probably have afforded a better house with their status in their own company.

As per her trademark habit, she looked down at the ground and smiled a curved smile.

Stepping into the grocery store, she came in after a man wearing a hoodie. Walking over to the area of the store that sells bread, she noticed the man taking some sliced bread, cereal of various types as well as some other snacks she didn’t pay attention to. ‘Lazy to cook, I suppose,’ She thought briefly as she saw him turn away to walk down another aisle.

“Okay, drinks,” She mumbled, walking down the same path the man took.

“Huh?”

To her surprise, the man wasn’t there already. When she got there, she only caught a glimpse of the wall having seemingly moved. Walking quickly over to the wall, she realized it was made of bricks, and as soon as the realization hit her, a conclusion came to her mind.

‘Elementals!’

Rushing to the cashier, she grabbed a random bill she noticed was way above the price of the sliced bread she took and simply told him to keep the change as she dashed out. Looking around, she saw the man walking away. “Hey,” She shouted, running after him.

“Wait up!”

"Hey, Wait up!"

Mystro heard a female voice that was very unfamiliar to him. He turned around to see a girl just about his age, plus or minus, that spotted him. No doubt with the way she was shouting she saw him. He did not stop walking though, he simply continued walking, only having glanced his head to see who was calling for him. He waved his left hand as if to tell her to bugger off.

He had not changed his pace of walking, but if this girl would approach him, he already knew what he would say. First he would tell her about how little he cared to try and get her to go away, and if she persisted than he would try to scare her away by showing her his prowess over the earth.

OOC: Bad post is bad, but meh, oh well. Interaction is nice

Also, don't mond him, just his character ;))

Rendon went about his usual rounds this morning as any other morning; shower, breakfast, the whole nine yards. As he started to leave, he hesitated in the doorway for a minute, as if he was thinking about something. He sat down in the dining room area for a minute, then shook his head and walked out the door.

"I've been living in the shadows for too long now," he said to nobody in particular. "Today, things are gonna be different. I gotta face this fear, or I'm gonna be alone forever."

He knew he was gonna be late if he walked, so he started to jog. He never was one for being late, even if it was only a couple of minutes. He looked at his phone and saw that he had more time than he thought he did, so he slowed back down to a walk. The way he figured it, the best place to get rid of this fear was to be in school, since there were always lots of people around each other.

Anyone that looked at his face could tell that he was nervous, but he knew this had to be done. Letting out a deep breath, he headed inside the gates to the school.

((OOC: No problem, though I’m not sure what color his eyes would be. Not mentioned in his character bio either. Anyway, I guess this post isn’t much good, just to set up some interaction, I guess.))

His gesture did little to stop Reine. Instead, increasing her pace, she closed the distance between the two, and stepped in front of him. Still, he didn’t show any signs of stopping though, but following beside him, she bent down slightly to stare at his eyes. What she saw confirmed her suspicions. He was an Earth Elemental.

Suddenly hyped, she got almost hysterical as she greeted him,” Hello, fellow being!”

Slapping his back like anyone would with a best friend, she continued,” Hey, what’s your name? I’m Reine. Reine Lacrimose, and I’m almost like you. You know, don’t you?”

(OOC: My bad, cba to edit it in now, but his eyes are green)

Just as he expected, his gesture didn't slow her down one bit, instead, she sped up and ended up by his side.

"Hello, fellow being!"

She seemed to strangely excited. But as soon as she had said 'Fellow being' He glanced over at her without turning his head. Fellow being? Did that mean that she was...like him? Next thing he knew he was being slapped on the back as if she had known him for a long time. He ignored it as that was his usual response for almost anything.

"Hey, what's your name? I'm Reine. Reine Lacrimose, and I'm almost like you. You know, don't you?"

She had light blue eyes. Almost sapphire. Admittedly it was a pretty set of eyes she wore. But her statement proved it, she was like him in race, but clearly not type.

"So, your an elemental. Nice meeting you, now go back to your life."

Once again he was speaking coldly. But since they were same in race, he would be slightly easier going on her.

Asuka approached her schoolwork with the same diligence that she applied to her appearance. Effort, Asuka knew the meaning of that word very well. When their teacher, 'Sensei Tanaka' (hey, she could still be polite and use her culture's proper manner of address, right?) announced that he was going to hand out an assignment on Charles Dickens . . . ten pages; she didn't inwardly groan or outwardly do it for that matter. Nope, she just mentally prepared herself for the inevitable: typing out ten interesting and relevant pages about the newly assigned essay topic. Yup, despite her earlier woes, she was a very obedient student.

"Man, look at her, she's already rearin' to type up a few pages," Jin offhandedly observed to Ren who'd just shouldered his the GazettE backpack and booted up his own PC.

"She's a crazymofo, that's for sure."

Asuka rolled her eyes and mumbled back a, "I heard that, I know Japanese too, dumbass," before earning a raised eye brow from her offended teacher. He struck his ruler against his long wooden desk, a sign that he was perturbed, and asked her to kindly pay attention to the lesson.

Great, what a long ass day this was going to be.

Lucius closed his eyes in frustration as he felt her thoughts on him, then an explosion of anger. Here was the moment he had known was coming, and it was time to face the inevitable onslaught of his sister. Keeping a cool, composed face, he turned to face her wrath with calmness that he would not allow to be dispersed. She was screaming at him now, and he didn't want to hear it. So he dealt with it.

Turning to his sister with a stony gaze, he let his gaze settle briefly on her before speaking. "I don't want to talk to you," he stated coldly, and walked into the school, not even turning around to face her as he lost himself to the crowds.

"So, your an elemental. Nice meeting you, now go back to your life."

Reine pouted. “Oh, don’t be so anti-social,” She said teasingly. “You know, your eyes are really pretty!” Glancing over to his eyes of emerald, she beamed brightly. Other than her parents, she had never once encountered another Elemental. Somehow, her relatives were all humans- all of whom also knew of her family’s race. Meeting another Elemental on the first day she moved into her new house only made her excitement overwhelm her.

“MAN,” She exclaimed. “We really should be friends! What is your name? What’s your name? What’s your name?”

All the time slapping him on the back, she repeated the words in quick succession. Her schoolbag hung on her back, its purpose clearly ignored.

"Oh don't be so anti-social. You know your eyes are really pretty!"

Why was she so excited? Hadn't she seen other elementals? It's not like it was a rarity in this town.

"MAN, we really should be friends! What's your name? What's your name? What's your name?"

Still being slapped on the back, he continued his walk back home. He let out a chuckle. Anti-social? If he was anti-social, he would be asking her to leave him to his life. Or at least that's how he would put it. Whatever, it's not like she was going to harm him. What's the worst that could happen? It might be beneficial befriending her. He liked to fight, and now he may have something to do. A spar here and there against another elemental would be fun, as he never did get much of a chance to spar, just fights.

But he still had something to say to her. "Do you have anything more important than me? I'm sure you do. Not that I care, but if you do then you should straighten out your priorities."

He hadn't even turned his head or glanced his eyes. Instead, his gaze was set on the road. Now it the road had looked poorly maintained with pot holes and cracks all along it. This was the road to his house.

"My name is Mystro Kazuki. Spelled M-Y-S-T-R-O pronounced Maestro. Italian for Musician, I just spell it differently."

Natasha's anger was only provoked further by his swift departure. She was about to lunge forward to go after him, but Sophia quickly stood in the way and grabbed her shoulders.

"You don't want to be starting anything, Nat," she murmured soft words of comfort. "You just got him back. Why don't we go inside and make sure that you calm down before homeroom?"

She led the young psychic inside into the nearest girls' bathroom. Natasha threw water over her instantly, hoping that the splash in her face would calm her down. Sophia leaned against the wall, ignoring the strange looks she was receiving from other girls that were going in and out of the bathroom.

"Natasha, he probably had to go for a few days and clear his head. This has been affecting him, too, you know?"

"I don't forget that, Soph. But ... him running off is so ... selfish! He didn't call me or Fran. I've been worrying constantly! Do you really think that I needed the extra ... pressure?"

Sophia grabbed Natasha's shoulders yet again, forcing her to look her in the eyes. "Nat, it's all going to blow over," she smiled strongly. "You need to calm down. Maybe he's got reasons for taking off like that. You just never know." She clapped her hands together. "Now come on! We've got my brother for homeroom."

"Your brother is taking us for homeroom?" Natasha said, scratching her head, as she followed Sophia back into the halls and to their new allocated homeroom.

(OOC: Yeah, shit post, I know. I'm somewhat out of it today.)

Remilia had a slight crush on James Berkan back in Middle School. He was taller than her, and always very nice to her as well. However, he was human, and didn't know much about the world she belonged to. She regretted not telling him. She also missed her pet rabbit, Fuzzles, that died when she was eight. At times, she wished that George Lucas never put in Ewoks. Ewoks sucked. Deep down, she felt sorry for Darth Vad-

“STOP IT,” Shouted Remilia. “Please, I can't do this much longer.” Raistlin withdrew his hand from her arm. “It's almost pathetic you can't control that. In just 5 seconds I got years worth of history from you. Imagine what would happen if a human were to touch you. Our existence would become known, and it would be all your fault.” Raistlin was somewhat angry. “Just to think, our existence could be outed just because you bump into a stranger.”

“I'm sorry, Raistlin. I'm trying, I really am.” Remilia felt rather bad now. It wasn't often Raistlin tore into her like that. She was the only person that he never tore into. However, she guessed that even with her, his patience had limits. “Touch my arm,” Raistlin suddenly said. “W-what?”

“It's not that hard of a concept to understand. Touch. My. Arm.” Without further hesitation, she touched his arm, and his thoughts came rushing into hers.

Logic is the concept that drives us all. Perfection is what it is all about, those moments when you can feel the perfection of creation, the absolute perfection of destruction. The terrifying beauty of physics, and the wonder of mathematics. Action, reaction, causality, the kind of perfection I not only want to be connected to, the perfection I wish to embody. Spins and turns, angles and curves. The shape of dreams half remembered. Slip the surly bonds of Earth and touch the face of perfection. Find the perfect world for the end.

Remilia gasped as Raistlin looked her in the eye and said nothing. “What was that?” Remilia asked. “It depends, what did you want it to be?” What kind of answer was that? It made no sense, none of that made any sense. “I'm going to order pizza and go for a walk.” Raistlin said.

Getting up, he walked down the stairs, and out the door. He ordered pizza, and set to walk down the street. Even he didn't remember who said that to him. However, he couldn't deny it. Destruction was a beautiful sight.

Work and diligence went hand in hand, dad said Asuka thought, or at least that's what had been battered into her head mercilessly as a lesson from her father. Months of training at his downstairs dojo had prepared her to be quick on her feet, nimble, and equally fast to make a decision and stick with it. Cooperating with tutors allowed her to see the progression of her intelligence, to reap the rewards of successfully acing a test or turning in an A+ quality paper. Yup, this was shaping up to be a piece of cake.

Fifteen minutes in and she'd already formed the beginnings of what would be her argument. Their essay, as Mr.Tanaka had explained, was to be turned in two weeks from today. But she couldn't help it if she liked getting a head start on things. Ren was thumbing through his dog eared copy and Jin was texting like a speed demon while Aimi glanced over at Asuka's work for "inspiration."

"Hey, after this do you wanna head down to the local pizza shop for some food? I'm starved," Aimi asked.

The pitiful garbling sound in Asuka's stomach said it all . . . concentration could make a growing girl go hungry.

"Sure thing, you guys wanna tag along?"

"Hell yeah!" Jin beamed, green eyes lighting up in childish delight.

"Yeah, we could split the money in amongst the four of us and get a huge pie." Ren suggested and so that's what the four of them set out to do. As Asuka zoomed through her classes, she felt a great sense of happiness. After the tediousness of her summer vacation: study, study, train, eat, sleep, wake up, study, study, train . . . it felt good to attend school and see her friends and then hang out. She could finally balance all work with some play. Yay.

"Whew, I'm ready to eat!"

"You said it!" Asuka sent a quick text to her parents informing them that she was hanging out with Ren and co. to get some pizza and that she'd be back by 6 at the earliest. Shouldering her backpack, she headed down the street towards the pizza shop with her friends, having never felt better.

"Are you sure that Richard taking the class is even legal?" Natasha pondered aloud, as she walked into their homeroom with Sophia. They proceeded to the back of the classroom, where they had always sat and knew their conversations were highly unlikely to be disrupted or stopped. "How did he convince the board to let him on?"

Sophia shrugged.

"Stroke of luck? His amazing knowledge of history? Recommended candidate from the University of Alaska? Who knows? He won't even tell me why. I'm not too bothered by it, anyway. You know me and Richard, we're super close. We only have each other."

Natasha merely nodded in response. All she had left was Fran and ... Lucius.

But the fact her twin brother brushed her aside so coldly was affecting her more than it should have done. Anyone could've easily said that she wasn't alone. However, Natasha was feeling more alone than ever after being coldly rejected. As Sophia started talking to one of their classmates, Natasha felt the influx of thoughts flowing into her mind and she could feel that awful oncoming migraine ...

I wanna go back home. It's so boring here.

Wonder who our new homeroom teacher is? Shame about Mr Farcey going to Switzerland. Still, he was a jerk!

Oh man, there's Natasha Remora. She's kinda cute ... wait, she's freaking hot! Captain of the soccer team, I would so tap that.

I wonder if Nat realises this room is full of people, who are nothing like her?

The last thought that she heard belonged to Sophia. Natasha found herself staring at her best friend briefly for a moment. When she turned her gaze on her, Natasha looked away and pretended to be looking out of the window. She longed to be free from here, even though classes hadn't begun yet.

A tear slipped down her cheek, the first one since the funeral. Natasha was unable to believe she was still capable of expressing emotion. She felt the teardrop with her finger and traced where it had streamed down her cheek. The fact that she was psychic had an emotional scar on Natasha's soul. And it was becoming even harder to conceal the pain that she had been feeling these past couple of days.

"Richard should be here soon," she heard Sophia telling her classmates. "Don't mind him! He won't be giving me any special attention because I'm his sister. If anything, he'll be making me work harder!"
