OOC: Just a heads up to let everyone know that I'm skipping this to the afternoon to speed things up a little. So for most of you, that would be the end of school at 2pm.
IC: For the rest of the day, Natasha became more aware of her capabilities. She stuck by Sophia a lot, scared that the demon that had attempted to kill her vampire friend before in the bathroom. Richard had excused them, knowing full well of the situation and had silently muttered to his sister that they would talk later. Sophia's main concern was being by Natasha's side just in case the demon would make a second attempt to fully possess her body.
Not all that bad being psychic, is it?
A few minutes to the end of their last class, which happened to be biology, Natasha glanced at Sophia, who was sat next to her at the apparatus. She had been using and abusing the fact that Natasha being psychic meant they could open a telepathic link between them. The young psychic rolled her eyes, producing a small weak smile.
Soph, we're meant to be taking notes down or else Mr Tanner will put us in detention, she shot back.
Sophia smirked cheekily. So he really knows that we're having a telepathic conversation now, does he? Nat, ninety percent of the town doesn't know of the existence of supernatural beings right in front of them.
The bell rang thereafter, enabling everyone to leave class and get out of school for the day. Natasha put her things away and left with Sophia.
"So are you going to make amends with Lucius?" she asked curiously.
"Only if he's willing to," replied Natasha, remembering the full details of their argument that prompted him to leave for a while. She hadn't told Sophia in fear that she would stick her nose in by accident.
"Ok, do you want a ride home?"
"Thanks for the offer, but no. I need to walk home. Clear my head. It's gonna be really awkward when I get back, anyway."
Sophia smiled comfortingly, only afraid of Lucius and her having another argument that would possibly cause her to leave this time. There was still much more she needed to explain to her best friend. The hardest part would be telling her that she and Richard were vampires. As for the Council ... well, that was another part that would have to wait. The task was to closely monitor Natasha. All of this information had to sink into her brain for now. She waved weakly at her, as she got in her car and drove off down the road.
Finally alone, Natasha knew that it wasn't the best idea to go home alone without Sophia. Today had proved anything could happen. However, she hadn't had much time to be alone. There was one place that she wanted to go to, somewhere she hadn't visited in over two weeks. After walking through town for ten minutes, she eventually reached her destination. Going through the silver rusty gates, Natasha found her mother's grave. She bent down on the grass and dropped her bag to her side.
"Hi, Mom," she said quietly.
This was the only place she felt that she could be herself, apart from her bedroom. The mask of courage she put on was to fool everyone else and assure them that she was fine. Deep inside, she just wasn't. A tear slid down her cheek.
"I'm sorry that I haven't visited for a long time, but you probably know that Lucius and I had a big fallout. Look ... I know that we shouldn't have done it. I know you don't like it when we argue. I wanna give it another go, but it's just ... he ... oh, I don't know. I feel real stupid talking to myself."
