[S-U/D] Skies of Elleard

Ditto here. I might try my hand at one. Id never actually played magicians much. Depends tho since i do have to say, we are seriously lacking Neristrians

I could try my hand and make a Nerestrian...Never used a full scale magic user though so I might wind up giving him/her something sharp to compensate.

Gamingway, Tipsy, Kevin, I'm going to be in the capitol city in my next post, I'm early for the mechanic show, so you can show up anytime you want now, or wait until after the show...

Note: His car only seats 2 :hmmm: Kevin and Tipsy can take their mechs, I will be driving...the car is fast though...very fast, so there should be no problems in me matching speeds

Erm...Is this a steampunk car? :wacky:

I have my second post up on page 6, but I think I'm still waiting to meet up with Wilheim at the university :hmmm: After that though, I'm guessing we can make our way over to you at the tech show. Along the way at some point though, I do need to come up with that excuse that I had mentioned for my character needing to meet your character, since he doesn't have any mechanical parts already and probably wouldn't want to just willingly sacrifice a flesh limb for a mechanical one, even if it's more functional; being as uppity as he is, he'd probably be a bit uncomfortable about doing that :hmmm: Even though it would be more practical and rather...handy :britt:

Name: Alistere, the Sky Scythe

Nationality: Neristrian by birth, neutral by choice

Race: Elf

Age:23

Gender: Male

Alignment: Neutral Evil

Appearance: Alistere comes in at about 148 pounds over a height of 5'11. He has black hair with a red undertone that comes out in the sunlight, not that he is seen often in the sun. It is windswept from his method of travel and often covers the upper part of his face. Pale-skinned, the only blemish is a scar that crosses his left eye from a training accident. This readily attests to his prowess.

He wears a tight black sleveless shirt with a wide gold-trimmed collar. Wrapped around his shoulders is a blood red strip of cloth, ragged at both ends. On his arms are black sleeves that only go up to just over his bicep where they are cinched. They are similarly cinched at his wrist though these are covered by the bloodstained gloves he wears. These gloves were black originally but over time gained an overtone of blood as Alistere's life progressed.

His pants are close-fitting black leather. Wrapped around his waist is a gold trimmed cloth the same color as his hair. This is cinched by a belt. This belt has several pouches of shuriken, knives, smoke bombs, and other useful implements. It also plays host to his sword when not in use.

Personality: Alistere was known for being the silent type in the early years of his training and still is when on a mission. Outside of the mission though he is surprisingly playful, to the point where the thought he could be one of the coldest assassins in the world is far from the mind.

Alistere also has a literal taste for blood. He has a habit of licking clean whatever weapon he used to kill his target. This is unknown to anyone outside the realm of the dead; if it were known he would probably have been given a different name.

History: The early years of his life have been almost completely forgotten up until he was eleven. What he does remember is that his parents died in a fire and was orphaned, forced to steal for a living. He was quite adept at it too until he tried to steal fromt he wrong person.

Alistere ended up with a knife in his face that forced him to flee only to find the same knife in the opposie direction. The cloaked figure removed the hood to reveal a man in his mid forties, hair silver with age. "How interesting. Most would have run into the knife but not you. You saw it and stopped..."

The man disappeared completely from Alistere's sight. Alistere took the chance to turn and run but as soon as he did he saw the man at the other end of the alley where he threw something at Alistere. By reflex, Alistere caught the thrown knife. "Latent wind magic too," came a voice from behind him. "You have what it takes boy."

The older man laughed and clapped Alistair on his back. "You're coming with me." That was Alistair's introduction into the real underworld. He had been drafted into the Assassin's guild, a collection of men and women from both Skylerk and Neristria whose sole purpose was to profit from animosity between people.

Alistere was told to forget his past life and so he did, even his name. He was given the name Alistere, what would be his name for the rest of his life. There were 4 others in training with him and out of them he was by far the best. Over the course of six years he gained control over his powerful wind magic and his unknown water magic as well as gaining rudimentary skills useful to assassins in both fire and earth magic.

In the first year was when he had his accident and when he began training formally under Roth, the man who had found him. In the training yard, one of the other students decided to challenge him to a sword duel. The other student cheated though, throwing weapons as well as attacking. Out of the several hundred he threw only the final one hit, giving Alistere the cut over his eye.

"I would have thought this would be a fair duel." "We're assassins. There is no such thing as fair to us," the other trainee retorted. "Quite right. You have to cheat when you're up against someone far better, like me."

With those words he raised his arm and snapped his fingers, surrounding the other boy with vicious winds that tore him to shreds, splattering the ground and walls with his blood. This was also the first time he tasted blood as the other boys blood had drenched Alistere's sword. He licked it clean and went on his way.

It was clear who had done it and Roth took Alistere under his wing, teaching the boy everything he needed to know. Alistere's wind magic was perfectly silent and created a vacuum so that no sound could escape it. He was essentially a perfect assassin. His training ended 4 years before the others and he was granted the title of Sky Scythe for his wind magic.

Over the next six years he performed exceptionally well in his jobs. Even better than some of the teachers. As it is now, he is one of the most called upon assassin though he only takes jobs that interest him.

Weapons:
Bloodscythe: Alistere's sword. Made of a blood red metal, its blade is close to 4 ft long. In its hilt are two focus stones one for wind the other for water. These enable him to use the sword os a focus for his magic and to combine magic with it. These stones also give it the passive ability to cleave both wind and water.

Assorted throwing implements and four daggers.

Skills/Skills/Etc.:
Wind Adept: Can use wind in any way, shape or form. From flight to scythe, he can do it.
Water Adept: Controls water. Includes water walk, storm creation, parching, and others.
Silent step: Alistere's training combined with his natural ability enable him to move without a sound.
Blur: Latent wind magic distorts the air to perceive fast actions as well as make them himself. Using this it would seem as though he simply vanished from sight.
Assassin Magic: While Alistere cannot effectively use any fire or earth magic he can use them to in simple ways effective for assassins: body burning, drawing poisons from nature, etc.
Thief Skill: Adept at theft, pickpocketing.

My only problem with Lewa is...how will I bring him to have an important role? :gasp2: any ideas anyone?

thats not a bad idea dude, why not try that one out, XD

and on a side note, it would seem my character is becoming trusting of a Neristrian. . . WHAT IS THE WORLD COMMING TO!!!!!!!!!!!

Well...I'm not sure why Lewa would be going to an inn...but I think I can make up an excuse. Remember, "If you be travelin with me, there be no footwalkin, just air flyin!" etc

Man, this keyboard sucks balls. I'm over here writing up posts, and typing in the SB and I've got typos out the ass. Sure, it has neat fucking shortcut buttons, but I hate this POS. :hmph:

Haven't slept in days and I have to deal with keyboard hell. -__-

I miss my old keyboard. :sad3:

I'll try to have another post up tonight, Stephen. However, I'm really fucking tired, so I can't promise anything this time. My apologies. :gasp:
