Save Points

Yeah, but if he dies, which he probably did/does (because if he didnt, he wouldn't have made this topic), then he needs to redo the whole dungeon again, filled with random battles every 5 steps.

Then it's not a save. Unless you're doing a hard reboot of the game and that's why you can't reload from the place where you saved. Are you doing it wrong?

Your aloud to do a hard reset, but whats happens is this,

Once you quicksave, you are sent to the main menu. You are aloud to turn of the power, but as soon as you load up the quicksave, or any other save, or start new game, the quicksave gets deleted.

i think that having no save points in the dungeons adds to the difficulty of the game - but it also made the action replay pretty popular so maybe it was a business stratagy :P

and i HATE the fact that there are no save points - just makes it harder than it needs to be.

Perhaps it was. With all the money grubbing plots Square is comming up with *CoughFinalFantasyVIICompilationCough*, God knows what were aren't aware of.

lol I didn't even think about save points in this game til I saw this thread xD I must have just gotten used to it ^^; The only place I got irritated with was the end boss. I died I don't know how many times.....I'd level up and think that was good enough, and then I was proven wrong -_-;

Oh well. I don't mind there's not save points still.

^^ Thats why I procured an AR: DS. I hated going through the whole dungeon time after time, and to get pummeled by CoD. Until I grinded in Bahamuts Lair with Black Belts, that is.

Now I see the quicksave problem.

:mad: so i had my DS in my bag, and when i went to take it out, the game was popped out, and apparently when that happens you lose everything in the quick save? i lost about an hour and started somewhewre random in the big map. i was pissed!

casue i was in a cave and coudlnt save and then it just put me there so im assuming that was the last time i saved, not including quick save. and yeah i meant world map lol

Ah, that's got to suck. I remember doing quick saves, and then when I'd return, I accidentally go to Load Game, forgetting about the quicksave, and BAM. An hour behind.

Well, if you have some spare money, I suggest getting an Action Replay: DS. It has the "Save anywhere" code for FFIII. I love that code. Its just... Awsome.

Lol. Yeah, I never put my DS anywhere unless its perfectly sealed (even when I'm at home, I keep it in the box it came in).

Or an actual case made for the DS. I have a GameStop Armour Casing that pretty much nullifies all damaged sustained to the DS while its inside. It also came with a bunch of neat things (Screen protectors, extra styluses, thumb stylus, screen cleaner, game cases, car adapter).

yeah i know all about that (im a manager at gamestop lol) and i have a yoshi case haha but its soft, so it jsut saves it from scratches, but if i like squished it the game would most likely still have a chance of popping out.. so maybe ill jsut break down and stop being so cheap and geta nice case. and wow, you still keep it in the box? lol i cant say i find that too odd bc i do the same with my ps2 when i travel. i kept the box and jsut throw it in there when im bringing it somewhere

i agree it really makes me feel nervous when you are about dead and you have no where to save. It is hard to operate at peak performance like that
