Just wanted to check, if i've asked this already I apologise

But for the villain who i'm typing up now, firstly am I able to have superior materia to the regular party? Like fire2/3, Bahamut, 4xCut etc etc? Or am I on the same levels there?

Also, this is more focused at anyone else who joins but is the villain a solo character or can there be underlings to him or alternatively, other villains following their own agendas?

Kind of asked before The bad guy should be a bit moe superior but not to the point where he can destroy everything in one go! You things like Bahamut sparingly

Looks like the villain with be solo for the time being as we don't have anyone to follow him. I guess this could change depending on the progress of the story.

Personality: As a being with no past, he has no distinguishing traits of a personality that could be labelled as genuinely his own. What he does have however, is both a joy in combat as well as a strong sense of honour. He will not kill the weak, nor women or children and never forgets a debt owed. His personality can switch between the combat happy monster to the noble warrior at a moment's notice

Pommel Bash Cutter: Strikes with the sword pommel to break defense before cutting at the opponent

Flame Saber: Wreathes the sword in flame before striking the opponent

Claw of Bahamut: Summons Bahamut for a melee attack

Hazardous Edge: Strikes an enemy with a chance of inflicting sleep, silence, poison, darkness, and confusion

Sacred Beam: Sends a beam of Holy Light at an enemy, if it hits it can rebound to other targets

Overwhelming Darkness
Immerses Alaric in Darkness, granting him additional strength, defense, speed and temporary flight ability, as well as a small repelling dark aura to weak attacks

History: As a creature who is essentially a newborn in the world he hasn't got much of a past, only a memory of the green and black glow of pure and tainted lifestream that spawned him into the world. He knew not why he was created, only that his consciousness and will were governed by two minds. One mind governed the evil of the tainted lifestream while the other governed the goodwill of the pure lifestream. He didn't know whether he was evil or good, but it was one question he had to find answers for. After all, for such a spontaneous existence he had to have some kind of purpose which he wouldn't discover by doing nothing.


Leaving the depths of the lifestream, he found himself in a unique land, memories from those that had perished told him this was the Metropolis of Midgar or at least... Former Metropolis. It had long since been reduced to ruins, just like the company that ran it. Whether people still lived here or not was a mystery that wasn't of any interest to him. It was highly unlikely he would find the answers he sought...

Couple of notes

1: As stated Alaric is essencially a newborn in terms of life experience, but he can learn of places visited by those that are dead, as well as learn of other people, events etc.

2: The reason for alternate Materia names was because of his unique existence and strong connection to the lifestream, and since he has pure and tainted lifestream in him, his materia is more powerful than the regular types, with varying effects. If that's not allowed i'll just make them normal again

3: As his personality states he's either bloodthirsty or noble, as such i'm leaving him as an 'antivillain' for the time being so if anyone's brave enough to try and get on his good side, you're welcome to it

4: More for everyone, again, if this has already been asked, apologies

Limit Breaks, can we have them/will we get them later? If so, how will they work? Will it be a super attack used on the odd occasion? Different power Limit Breaks with varying quantity of usage? Etc etc

Anyway, Unholy Fire? Black Cure? What the heck... And if you wanted, you could follow that theme for a Fire materia without even going and making something up that doesn't exist... There's Dark Fire materia from Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII.

Um yeah, about that Jesse... Farro, isn't it mandatory that even if an RPer chooses a canon character, they make up a bio for it?

Triple T should probably get on that like now, don't let me down and end up getting left out of this RP due to failure to get a bio up for the character that you chose, k?

I'm sure he'll be on it buddy he only really found that out yesterday. It's not like I would forbid him from being in the rp or anything XD

As for limit breaks, I'm unsure. I'd need peoples assurance that they wouldn't use them constantly really.

I think the frequency of limit breaks should depend entirely on their power, naturally we don't want them sending off omnislash esque attacks every 5 seconds or anything, while in reverse the weaker ones stil shouldn't be used all the time but be more commonly seen than a 'level 4' limit break.

I mostly made those Materia to make it clear he's on a whole other level, as well as his ability with the lifestream

ANd while a part of him isn't friendly he isn't inherently evil, you could say he's trying to find his place in the world depending on the people he meets and what he learns about himself can determine whether he becomes your greatest ally... Or your worst enemy

I wonder how this is going to go, I would hate it if it was bad, though...so I am unsure... Just confirming, none of the RPers' characters can be killed off, unless that person gives permission to do so if it seems in the best interest of the RP and that person doesn't mind, right?

Because I would mind. Not having any of my character's lives taken by some confused, aimlessly wandering, overpowered, short tempered fool.

ALso don't focus on his negatives too much, he does have honour unless you actually make him snap he won't kill needlessly, unless the tainted lifestream takes over

He's not THAT overpowered he can be defeated, i'm not going to just godmod him like crazy whenever something fights him

And if worse comes to worse, even an elite can be overwhelmed through sheer numbers

But in all seriousness, he is a beatable opponent, he's just got more at his disposal than your average character, skill can still win the day and right at the start all he has is overwhelming strength. He's not that experienced at weilding that strength

Name: Nanaki, Red XIII, Red

Physical Appearance:

Nanaki is a red-coated quadruped with both feline and canine characteristics. He stands approximately 4 feet tall at the shoulder blades. His long, sinewy body has a powerful aura about it, enhanced by several tribal markings, as well as the mark Hojo gave him while Nanaki was a prisoner of his experiments. His mane is also decorative, with parts behind his ears braided, and a mohawk-type line of fur running along his cervical spine. His lion-like tail ends in a distinctive tuft of flame.

Weapon: Headdress. Starts with Mythril Clip.

Materia: Fire. Restore=All. Sense. Earth.

Personality: Quiet, intelligent, well-spoken, and honor-bound, Nanaki (or Red, as many still call him) has a deep reverence for nature, and for the history of the Planet. He still carries with him a slight bit of resentment and distrust for humans, due to the nature of his captivity at the hands of Professor Hojo, though his travels with Cloud and the gang did much to restore his faith in the two-leggeds. He does not speak all that often, but when he does, it often carries with it a great deal of wisdom, and people tend to take his words to heart. Red prefers to be alone much of the time, and enjoys the quiet sanctity of his home in Cosmo Canyon.

History: After Sephiroth was defeated, Nanaki spent a good amount of time in Cosmo, resting and recuperating from his long journey with his friends. He then traveled the Planet, learning much about its lore and history. When Cloud, Tifa, and the gang had their battles against the remnants of Sephiroth who were trying to reunite with the silver-haired swordsman, Red was off in a distant part of the Planet, and was unable to help until late in the conflict, and then only in a support role. In the few years since then, he has resumed his wandering of the Planet, often traveling to visit friends while trying to search out the few remaining unexplored portions of the Planet.

Extended Information


Appearance: Escaleon is pale in complexion, though this is a common factor with denizens of the north. His eyes are something azure, complemented only by jet-black, spiked hair which is angled to the left. His build is rather normal as he is considerably lanky for someone his age. Though, his legs carry more strength than any average human being. This is attributed to snowboarding, of which he incorporates fun and training. During said event he attaches ankle weights to himself before each slope.

Normally Leon’s apparel consists of baggy clothing due to the chilling climate. He’s never been out of the northern continent so he has no need for any other type of clothing. Though his clothing was big enough to withstand the chilling climate of the north, he maneuvered quite easily when wearing such clothing. Having the necessary lower body strength made such feats possible. His complete apparel is listed below:

Top: Normally when Leon snowboards he wears a pair of UV filtered goggles. His frames are usually black with a snug strap with silicone backing to keep the goggles in place. When in recreation he’ll either push the goggles up to sit on top his head or will remove them completely. As a precaution to the wind, Leon wears large wrapped bandages over his mouth up to his nose. Leaving maybe one or two wraps to sway in the wind.

Upon his torso Leon sports a black vest with several straps laid out horizontally. Each strap is laid down by a snap on button as silver eyelets are laid out amongst each strap. The vest is rather snug though not being too tight. Over the vest an optic camouflage jacket is usually worn by Leon when boarding. A pair of matching gloves are also worn, though only to complement the jacket.

Bottom: For leggings Leon wears a pair of black baggy pants with grey stitching. Chains can be seen within and without each stitched strap on the pants. These pants can zip off into shorts making previous restraints unnoticeable. For footing Leon wears a pair of black boots of which are bolted and strapped. Each strap is contained by a silver bolt with silver eyelets up and down each strap.

Whenever snowboarding, Leon wears a pair of ankle weights making him faster on the slopes.



Personality: Leon is rather eccentric, very hard to read and is often characterized as non social. Though he prefers to think moreso than to speak Leon doesn’t completely act like a brick wall. When something humorous is brought to his attention he will laugh, when a fearful situation occurs he won’t hide behind a mask and act like things are better than they really are. In the deepest of turmoil Leon finds himself becoming more vocal in an attempt to assess the situation. If there’s something he doesn’t understand, normally he will shrug it off and go his on route rather than questioning anything.

Leon doesn’t necessarily believe that he was put on the planet for a reason, moreso that he is just there to fill up space. This also points out the fact that he doesn’t believe in a higher calling. Such leads him to believe that after one dies they merely become energy for the planet, unable to move on afterward. However, this allows him to live his life to the fullest. He does so everyday by snowboarding, which happens to be his main hobby.

To say Leon is an enigma would be quite the understatement as nobody has ever truly delved into his mind. He thinks differently than most everyone else, choosing not to conform to a natural way of thinking.


Lifestyle:Leon believes in a healthy lifestyle, choosing to stay fit and prepared for any situation of which may happen upon him at any time. Though his main occupation would be snowboarding. The majority of his time is spent hitting the slopes each day as a way of training himself whilst having fun at the same time. The strength his legs hold have been multiplied by that of an average males due to his training methods. Whenever he isn’t snowboarding, Leon enjoys reading and exercising.


Inventory


Weapons: Zanbatou (5ft.) - This single bladed Zanbatou is sheathed within a particular snowboard of which Leon doesn’t use. The snowboard is a much larger version of an actual snowboard, being hollowed out and shaped to the form of the actual blade. The snowboard has a rather large strap around it which allows Leon to carry it around on his back. Though the blade is exceptionally large, the defining width allows it to be carried with ease.

Limit Breaks

Zambrato - Whilst unsheathing his sword, Leon charges toward his opponent with the utmost ferocity. He then leaps above the intended target and turns in mid-air to spin in rapid succession. In doing so Leon throws his blade down toward the target also causing a shockwave when said blade hit’s the ground.

Background

Biography:Having been born in the Icicle Area, Leon has been isolated from most of society for quite some time. He became an orphan as his family was murdered indirectly by a group of Shin-RA soldiers who fired freely to gain the attention of everyone in the Icicle Area. This led to the Icicle Inn becoming his home. Having been informed of how his parents died at a later age, Leon shows great spite toward Shin-Ra. Those who run the Icicle Inn act as Leon’s guardians.

Being surrounded by snow all of his life led Leon to spark an interest in snowboarding. Seeing as how there wasn’t much else to do there, this hobby took up much of his time. Rarely anyone made the journey to the north continent so Leon had very little distractions. Though he snowboarded for fun, he managed to turn it into a training regiment as well. Using ankle weights, Leon improves his strength and speed on and off the slopes.

Escaleon also began reading at an early age, needing something to do whilst he let his muscles rest. This interest led him to read up on blacksmithing. To protect those of the Icicle Inn from future invaders, Leon decided to learn as much about this as he could. For some reason he preferred bigger and wider swords compared to the likes of a katana. Combining snowboarding with blacksmithing, Leon managed to create a sheathe out of one of his older snowboards.

Having the blade so big made wielding it so difficult. However, after tweaking with the design a bit, Leon made the blade a bit thinner so the weight wouldn’t be too much for the handle. Though Leon had a means of protection, his skills were rather limited. Practicing each day allowed him to maintain a mediocre amount of skill with his newly created blade. Leon managed to mix his snowboarding skills in with how he handled a blade, allowing him to maneuver much easier.

Years passed and Leon’s skill moderately grew. He continued snowboarding but felt as if he was wasting his time. Remaining in the Northern Continent only meant Leon’s life would go nowhere. Leon had always wanted to travel to other continents and this seemed like the best possible chance to do so. He would finally set out and find those who were responsible for murdering his parents.

As simple as this plan seemed, finding a way to any other continent was rather difficult. Considering there were no ferries that traveled to the Northern Continent, nor was there a means of flying. Fortunately, Leon had been informed of someone who owned a small boat and rode out to the Eastern Continent once every week. Luckily for Leon, the man hadn’t made his trip yet and was more than willing to help the boy out. So off they went, aiming for the Eastern Continent so Leon could begin his new life.

Upon landfall, the old man departed whilst Leon explored. He had no idea what was in store for him on this new continent. Though, he did know that he’d sure enough get his revenge.​
