I was kidding about how much HP materia. Again, the bio was intended to be slightly humorous.

However, other physical materia.... Side note: I have like nothing to do with magic, so any defense I have against that is natural. Which means not much. Do with what you will.

Bio updated. Materia set implemented. Now for Physical appearance and history.... don't hold your breath on this history.
 
Got my bio edited with the six materia, now I believe it is finished. :D

So uh, when does this thing start, and does everyone start in one place (not the exact same spot, obviously)?
 
Erm, as a side note, the Long Range Materia's ability is kinda being tweaked so I can punch people at a distance occasionally, since the original use kinda... wouldn't work here.
 
Ok Im still thinking of the 6 materia my char should have,...its tough..
Im debating right now as Im typing this post..

Also my char will have the Comet materia one day... can she? :britt:
Meteor would be even more sweet, but alas then the world would be kaput.

Age: 26 (I think that's how old he'd be, 5 years from FF7?)

Materia: Bolt, Ice, Restore, Elemental Attack (connected to Bolt), ATK up, Ramuh (assuming we're allowed Summons, if not i'll go for Cover)
Personality: After the events of Geostigma, Cloud was finally, after many years of hardship able to overcome his guilt and more on more positively through life. Even now he still continues to protect the planet from any who seek to cause it harm, putting his life on the line if necessary. His mind, though free of burdens is still haunted by the shadow of Sephiroth ever returning.
History: As a child, Cloud aspired to be a hero, a member of SOLDIER like the legendary Sephiroth. Growing up he idolised his feats, hoping to achieve even a fraction of what Sephiroth had done. Deep down he also wished to do it so that Tifa, the girl he grew up around in Nibelheim would begin to notice him, even going as far as to make a promise to protect her when she needed him most.

Joining the Shin-Ra company soon afterwards he attempted to apply for SOLDIER but unfortunately fell short of the mark, soon after he met a SOLDIER 2nd class, Zack Fair who befriended him and soon they were working together on missions and building bonds of friendship. However, when they checked on a fault in the Nibelheim reactor, Cloud's world came crashing down. His hero, Sephiroth turned on his comrades and the world, burned down the village of Nibelheim, Cloud's home and cut down his friend Tifa. Zack Fair fought valiantly but was no match for Sephiroth's seemingly superhuman strength and skill, swatting away any attempts Zack made to attack.

After Zack lost his losing battle, Cloud took up his blade the 'Buster Sword' and while Sephiroth was distracted, pierced him through the back. With Sephiroth seemingly dead Cloud returned to check that Tifa was okay as Sephiroth emerged at the entrance to the JENOVA room, badly wounded and with one hand holding something unknown to Cloud. That didn't matter though, Cloud charged him but this time Sephiroth got the upper hand and pierced Cloud through the chest and hurled him into the Jenova room but before he could administer a fatal blow Cloud used his last reserves of strength to force Sephiroth down into the lifestream below.

5 years later, Cloud awakens, in a comatose state with an unknown cause his zombie-like state is carried by Zack Fair through countless battles through Nibelheim, the countryside, going most of the way on foot until they reach the cliffs overlooking Midgar. At this point they were cornered and as Cloud was starting to awaken Zack Fair made the ultimate sacrifice, using himself as a shield to repel the entire Shin-Ra army so that Cloud might live, in the end he was defeated and with his dying breath he passed on the Buster Sword to Cloud, naming him his living legacy.

As Cloud limped back to Midgar he eventually found himself at the Train graveyard, where an unexpected face appeared, his childhood friend Tifa. After saying he was a mercenary now, Tifa brought him to AVALANCHE, the media named 'terrorist group' that was causing unstoppable destruction throughout Midgar.

While here, Cloud was given a mission to join AVALANCHE and blow up a Mako Reactor to save the planet from being bled dry of it's lifestream, the balance of life and death. while doing so, Cloud felt his mind crushed with immeasurable pain as a strange voice called out to him. After a moment it passed as Cloud completed his mission and joined their escape. Shortly after this, Cloud met a flower girl called Aerith, a woman who played a bigger role in his life than he could ever have imagined.

After numerous attacks and escapes on Shin-Ra they were eventually forced to flee the city of Midgar, the party nominated Cloud as their leader as they all set off, stopping Shin-Ra's attempts to harm the planet further while in hot pursuit of Sephiroth.

Their journey continued like this for a long time till eventually they managed to find Sephiroth and defeat him, stopping his plan to attain godhood. Though 2 years later he returned again while using another as a vessel. Cloud however summoned up all his strength and managed to, once again, send him back to the lifestream.

/would have put in more but everyone gets the gist of FF7 anyway :rofl:

Wow. Well that, image and all is epic, I almost envy it, but that would be a sin. It would be no less than shameful to so needlessly commit a sin. :wacky:

Torn on whether to have a second original character in this or not, I got this Safina character I am really excited about, but she is quite the feisty one...

The parallel being of Sophia, from the parallel dimension, which is a twisted place indeed. One of the scariest things being it is something that is covered pretty much universally, so most any place has a form of it in the parallel dimension, as there may be a parallel being of individuals as well.

Safina's appearance in humanoid form ( she has the quadruped, Feral Form as well, but is pretty "Feral" either way... Yeesh. That wolf is almost as dark as Shadow. Cept, you know, Shadow has glowing green eyes and is like the moogle of death.

I am now sorely tempted to bring in Shadow.... just because he would be amazing. But I can't RP two characters at the same time, so not happening.

Is he bound to the same limits on stuff as others? Like Materia etc?

Do you mind just keeping to one original character? We run the risk of it getting overly complicated otherwise. Thanks ;)

As for the bad guy question, same limits apply but when posting as the buy guy you can obviously make him slightly more powerful, as all major bad guys are!

We will hopefully be starting this soon, just waiting for couple more people to confirm their characters. Hopefully this should be done by monday.

Also a side thought, to make it easier for the story to flow initially, I was thinking people could start in and around midgar. I personally think it would be better to have us all there to start with.
 
Aww...alright. I sometimes have to wait seemingly endlessly to be able to make a new post when I only have one character in an RP, though. :sad3:

Maybe I should consider going for a canon character then, even though trying to represent a famous character well makes me nervous, I really would rather avoid the aforementioned. :/
 
Going for a canon character is definitely an idea. Don't worry about how you represent the character though, i'm sure you'd do fine! Have a think about it.
 
Hm, there isn't many canon characters taken now, is there? What is it, just Red XIII and Cloud? And maybe Rufus Shinra as well...? I'd have to think and narrow down what ones I could even possibly consider trying to pull off...
 
Would Cissnei be an eligible character? I love her .__. If not, I'll go ahead with some sort of white mage.

Or perhaps Yuffie. But I think someone said they wanted her and I wouldn't want to take her away from anyone. XD
 
Id like to compile a list of materia people would like to acquire later in the adveture?

Like Ohri says hed like to get the Comet Materia later on, id like the 2xCut materia and to eventually master it and give it someone else after.

Also as the adventure goes along more materia will become equippable through pieces off armor? and weapons? coz ATM im not sure what the lay out of my materia is do we have 6 slots on our weapons or 3 on our armor + 3 on our weapon?

Definitely not choosing another shape shifter, otherwise I would strongly consider Vincent Valentine, because he is a cool character.

And Cid Highwind and Cait Sith are definitely right out, since Cid swears, and I don't want to imitate that, and I hate Cait Sith, please do not use him in this RP anyone. Please. I am so not seeing him on top of Red XIII again stealing his lines, or imma kill it (in my head...). -__-

Oh, Jess, are you gonna be Cissnei? Then I could be Reno, and then if another RPer could be Rude... No, I am not asking one of you to act rude, I am talking about the Final Fantasy VII Turks character Rude (xD), then if that trio formed, that could be some good characters in the RP. :D

Nanaki (Red XIII) is still the awesomest though. And Cloud probably next, though I'll try to make Crimson Wolf be a good original character addition to this FFVII RP.
 
Cissnei is a member of the Turks during Crisis Core xD

And dunno if I said yet but i'll get on with my villain tomorrow, just to confirm he can be physically superior but still has to obey the 6 materia limit?
 
Name: Rufus Shinra.

Age: 27

Gender: Male

Physical Appearance: Relatively tall, Rufus stands at around 6' 2" in height. He has an average build for a man of his age. Rufus has fairly short ginger hair and dark blue eyes.

He wears a white suit, with a black shirt, and long white coat over the top.

Weapon: Mako pistol. Drawing power from the materia linked to this weapon it becomes more powerful as Rufus himself does.

It allows him to attack with fair speed at a moderate range, and a well placed shot, even whilst connected to fairly weak materia allows him to cause moderately high damage to an enemy.

Materia:
Bolt linked with All, placed in his weapon.
Restore linked with All, placed in a Shinra Beta armour (assuming these have linked slots)
Ice and Fire both placed in his weapon.


Personality: Rufus was not that long ago the leader of a corporation bent on retreiving the huge materia and sucking the lifestream out of the planet by building mako reactors. Some might have described him as mad or even evil, but back then he had truely believed that his father had known what he was doing, by attempting to use the lifestream as a viable power source.

He has since been more than a little confused about what to do next. He has become much more confident again, since the breakdown of his company, and his recovery over the past years. He has again begun to exert his authority with the air of a man who knows what he is doing, and has started showing his true colours by using some unorthodox methods to get things done. Still power hungry as he was before he has forced himself to be strong willed again.

History: See FF7.

Following the events of the attack made by the weapons upon Shira HQ, Rufus hid for several years, whilst trying to decide what to do next. The answer, he decided, was simple. He returned to Midgar and began to re-establish Shinra Inc.

He had heard of a unltra-powerful materia hiddne somewhere on the planet, and with AVALANCHE disbanded, he would be able to scour the continents for it one at a time in his search for it, and then use it not only to produce power for Midgar, which he would have almost total control over, but also create newer and strogner weapons to put down those who opposed him, or at least that was what he thought.

After recruiting hundreds of new soldiers, and even re-hiring some old faces, he began to conduct research into this materia he had heard of, and after learning of the true powers it held, he began to wonder whether or not it was something that should be used in the ways he had tohugh of originally after all.

Despite these thought he continued his search for it, assuming he would know what needed to be done if or when he finally found it.


(I would like to apologise for this bio, I'm aware it's a bit weak, but I've just finished writing another one, and seem to have lost them will to write for the moment)
