Hey there.

Do you have a secret? You know, something you've been hiding for as long as you can remember. Maybe telling people would hurt you or those around you. If you can agree to that, I know exactly what you mean – and I need your help.

But first, I should make sure I've got the right person. If you're reading this, you've got some sort of... power. Now, that sounds silly, but if you know that you do and you're never told anyone, you're scared. You want to know how I, a random stranger, know this about you. Well, I've got an explanation for you, even if you might not understand it right away.

You see, you're not alone in this. I have a power as well, and I used mine to find you. And, I need your help. I'm writing this letter to you from a... very bad place. I'll tell you more if you decide to offer your help to me. Either way, I assure you that you'll be caught up in this mess somehow. On my side or the other... well, I guess that's up to you. Now, if I've still got your attention, I'll start explaining.

See, I'm not contacting you for fun and games. There's this.. company, I guess you could call them, here who wants to use me, and you, and others like us for their own profit and gain. And it might kill some of us. But they don't really care. They feel like there's a lot of us, and we're simply expendable. And you might think, “Oh, they won't find me, they don't even know who or where I am,” but the thing is, they do. That's my fault, and I'm sorry about it, but it also allows me to warn you.

Now, you may think of me as an enemy after that, but I wish you wouldn't. I don't want to be forced into this any more than you do. I want to help you, and I want your help.

So, are you going to do this? Are you going to help me and escape when they bring you here, or are you going to go along with their plans? I know I haven't given you a lot to go on, but trust me. You don't want to see what they're going to do to the world. Only time will tell your choice, but I sincerely hope you choose my side in this.

As far as I can tell, they'll start transporting you as soon as...

One bright, sunny day, a girl was ripped from her homeworld and brought into a cold laboratory. Several people, a woman and two men, were staring down at her with disbelief, and one actually had the audacity to come up and prod her. Shrinking back, she stood up slowly and opened her mouth to speak. "Why am I here?" she whispered, her voice sounding loudly in the quiet room.

Now, nearly two years later, the girl knows exactly why she's here - and she's going to try to stop it. Using a power she hadn't explored before, she's reaching out to others like her, others who are going to be torn away from the people and places they love. She's begging them for help, begging them to listen. Her only ally has been tormented, abused, and beaten, gone a little mad somewhere along the way. And as for those who brought her to that cold lab? Well, they're not going to let her escape so easily.


Powers

Amplifier - boosts the powers of other psychics ; boosting can be fatal to the amplifier and the psychic being boosted

Duplicaters - can make near perfect duplicates of anything, people included

Elementalist - can control a single element ; weak to opposing elements

Fades - unable to be seen ; does not work on clothing or objects but may extend to other people

Freezers
- stops time for short periods of time ; the bigger the area being frozen, the shorter the period

Illusionists - creates images by bending light waves and altering perception

Influencer - bends wills to fit their own intentions ; may not work on other psychics

Inhibitor - immune to almost all psychic powers ; may be able to project this effect onto others

Mimic - copies a psychic ability it has recently seen ; copied ability is lower in power

Projectors - able to send a ghostly image of themself to somewhere else ; generally used to send messages

Seers - randomly sees glimpses of the future, though the future is always changing and any action can change it ; may be able to concentrate to see things

Shielders - able to generate a force field to protect anything inside the edges of it

Shifters - able to change shape ; must change to something living

Speeders - opposite of Freezers ; accelerates time for short periods

Summoners - calls a spirit to aid them ; may only bond to a maximum of three spirits and only one can be called at a time

Telekinetic - able to move objects with only the use of their mind ; easier to do when the object is in sight

Telepaths - able to read the thoughts and emotions of others as well as sending their own thoughts

Teleporter - able to move people (including self) to other places ; particularly strong teleporters can move people from world to world

Tracker - locates people who possess powers ; easiest to focus on a particular type of power

Rules and All That Boring Shit

1) Follow the rules of the section: No godmodding/moding, power playing, metagaming, being a dick, etc. Be nice.

2) I reserve the right to kill (or do worse to) your character if you stop posting or begin to power play/godmod.

3) Two powers per person at max. If taking an element, one element per person. Don't take opposing powers such as Inhibitor and Amplifier. You'd kill your character.

4) Your grammar should be decent. Don't make me cry here.

5) Don't get butthurt if I refuse your bio. Try again, but don't cry about it.

6) No more than two characters.
Additional Information

If you make two characters, they must be on opposing sides... but preferably not interacting directly with each other. That means a big role on one side and a small on the other. (Exceptions can be made.)

As far as characters go, you can make your own, or grab a canon from another universe. Mine is a canon from another universe, the secondary main character is an original, and I have no idea what the main villain is using yet. If your character doesn't have the power in universe, that's fine. Give it to them anyways. On that same note, if your character is Sephiroth, you may not have the power to slam planets into each other anymore. Deal with it.

If you have two powers, please please please don't make them both offensive. Both defensive is iffy, but you can do it. You'll just have to rely on someone else to protect you. Let's balance it out a little bit, please.

You can make your own powers if you'd like. Approve them first, please.

Also, Namine's group is trying to save the worlds from the evil group, that she simply knows as the Company. So she's good, and the Company is evil. Company torments people, etc.

I'll add answers to any questions asked here as well.

Bones stands around 6' tall and is on the slender side at 145 pounds. The front half of his hair is blonde and short. The black half consists of long, thin, black braids. Because of this separation, and because he is a man of African heritage, many think the blonde part has been dyed. It has not. His face is attractive, with a square jaw decorated by a well-maintained, close beard. His eyes are a dark brown.

His clothing is surprisingly upscale, considering his lifestyle. He wears a pair of dark blue tailored pants and a white silk shirt with a brown vest that has an intricate design on it. Over all of this, he wears a black leather duster. His shoes are Italian leather. With him at all times is his walking stick.

Personality: Bones doesn't talk often, but when he does, it tends to come out in bunches. He is very deliberate in his actions, but once he sets his mind upon a certain course, little can be done to change his mind. Because of his ability to see the future, he has very little, if any, emotional reaction to any outcome; he most likely has already seen the consequences of every action. As such, he rarely becomes close to anyone, preferring to keep everyone at a distance so he is not overburdened with the sight of their possible actions.

Weapons: His walking stick normally is four feet in length. But in battle, Bones can extend it to 8 feet in length, and uses it similar to a bo staff. The cap of the stick (A pair of dice in design) can also be removed from the staff to reveal an eight inch long blade. Only one of these weapons can be used at any given time. The blade cannot be accessed if the staff is elongated.

Bones is a highly agile fighter, though not very physically strong. He uses his abilities as a seer to predict where his opponent will strike and how they will move, then acts to counter that particular attack.

Abilities: Premonition - Bones concentrates for a split second and peers into the very near future. At that point he sees multiple angles of attack, and for each angle of attack, he sends a simulacrum of himself in that direction. The simulacra will attack the enemy, but are not capable of causing damage. Only Bones can actually inflict damage on the enemy. This ability is used as a distraction and to disconcert the enemy. One simulacrum would have a very minor energy drain. Five would be minor to moderate, and ten would be moderate.

Threads of Fate - By aligning himself with temporal vortexes hidden from the senses of the vast majority of normal people, Bones is able to essentially trace the steps and actions of any person/being. The more well-known the being is to Bones, the easier they are to track. Physical proximity and the length of time that Bones has to "reach" to find a particular being's thread also can change how draining the ability is, and how difficult it is to track that particular person. Also, a being strong enough psychically can mislead Bones by throwing out false projections, or in extreme cases, even block Bones from finding their thread entirely.

Weaknesses: Psychic energies of any form disrupt his abilities as a seer. Not an overly strong fighter, he relies on speed, thus heavy hitters can be a problem, as are those who can outlast him. His stamina is not spectacular. His defense against magic is average.

History: Pierre Chretien grew up in the 9th Ward of New Orleans. He had a rough childhood. His alcoholic father was mostly absent, and was abusive while present. His mother worked multiple menial jobs to make ends meet. His two older brothers succumbed to the gangs that riddled the streets; both ended up in Parkwood Cemetery before Pierre turned 16 years of age.

About that time, Pierre began gambling. He was given the nickname "Bones" by one of the older folks he rolled dice with. It started small, rolling dice in the alley with the neighborhood men, or playing poker after dark in the back room of an auto repair shop. Pierre was good. Preternaturally good. It was not uncommon for Pierre to walk away with nearly $1000 in cash. He realized that he could see the outcomes of the games before they were even played. There was no element of luck for him. In fact, he controlled the games. Over time, he began to understand that it was in his best interest to throw hands here and there, sometimes every hand he saw through the course of a night, in order not to arouse the suspicions of those he was playing with.

Eventually, Bones took his game to the casinos. He cleaned house, earning him hundreds of thousands of dollars, virtually overnight. The less reputable of the casino owners made his life miserable, physically assaulting him on several occasions, even at one point trashing his mother's house. At that point, he gave away every last cent he had to his name, and moved to New York, where he lived an essentially homeless lifestyle. He could still see flashes of future events here and there, but it was severely limited to himself and the very near future. No more than an hour or two in advance. He used his ability to his advantage, keeping himself safe on the streets.

Oh, simply that you wouldn't have to limit yourself to duplicating one thing, unless I misunderstood your post. There's no problem with the chosen powers or anything.

Lafiel appears as a young Caucasian female in her late teens. Slim and slender and petite with a ramrod straight posture. Her entire being screams cultured, elegance and perpetually composed. Her height reaches 165 cm and weighs in at 48 kg.

Lafiel's hair is a soft snow white and is kind of puffy and slightly curls. It is styled in a neat, somewhat spiky appearance at the back, giving her a distinct look that slightly resembles that of a lion's mane or a moppy look. All in all, it makes her look like she has a great deal of thick, full hair, despite it being short, reaching just at the shoulders. Her side bangs are tied into small braids and reaches down to her collar whilst her front bangs comes down to a frontal V at the middle whilst the sides sweep off left and right. The side bangs that arent in the braid frames her face down to her chin in a curve while her frontal bangs reaches down halfway of her nose.

Skin wise, Lafiel is blemish free and is of a pale pink colour in terms of skin tone. Her eyebrows are thin and slender, plucked and maintained and is not angled too sharply, giving a more friendly and comforting look. Like her hair, it is also white. Similarly, her nose is slender as well with a slight point. Her eyes while somewhat hawkish, is large and not angled too sharply with a light ice blue colour for her iris, exuding an intelligent, meticulous and astute while somehow still remain soft. Her lips aren't particularly full nor big and is almost as pale as her skin. However, it is perpetually in a courteous, hospitable and sophisticated slight smile.

Personality:

Fastidious, courteous, level headed and professional. Lafiel is a bona fide head maid and acts as such. In face of all manner of people, Lafiel can maintain her slight smile, her manners and be extremely patient. She is unable to show extreme emotions on either end of the scales, which is especially unnerving when she is angry as her formal mode of speech remains unchanged and her face remains smiling. It is, however, quite obvious that she is not in the best of moods. With this mildness, Lafiel is very capable of approaching all types of people and interact without much problems. Despite being able to approach all manners of people, it doesn't mean she bares herself to them. Her mild personality also doubles up as a protective film for her. As a maid, she is at the service of her mistress. Although she was extremely close with her, Lafiel kept a level of professionalism with her, keeping a lot to herself, mostly since she believed that her problems are not worth her mistress' time. This bleeds onto other people as a result. She would be more than willing to offer advice and such, but rarely would she tell people her problems or feelings. Further more, with established relationships, Lafiel is loyal to the bone. It takes a bit of work to actually be fully considered as a friend, but once there, she would serve and protect them with her life. Once lost, you can be assured it cannot be regained and even if she does trust to, its only by a silver. She would always have an eye on you. To her enemies, she is ruthless and cold. It stems from her parrallel job of being a maid and guard for her mistress. She would kill, without hesitation and she has done so before.

First Impression:
First impression of Lafiel is that she is a helpless maid. This is mostly due to her outfit and her being rather polite. Of course the helpess part is untrue, given the weapons she has hidden on her, but she is polite and civil, which is the impression that people get.

Attire:
Lafiel's outfit reflects her current occupation, which is that of a maid. It is a black and white maid uniform, although it is a variant from the normal type due to her position. She is the Housekeeper (aka, Head Maid) of the mansion and the personal maid for the mistress, hence the a distinct personal uniform.

The uniform is predominately black with white as its secondary colour. Her shirt is long sleeved and slightly puffed at the shoulders and is lined with thin white pinstripes. Both biceps has a elastics around them (material is similar to suspenders) to prevent her sleeves from moving when she is working. The collar is white with black bordering whilst she has a white ribbon around her neck under the collar, pinned together at the front with a brooch
. On top of the gem, it has her house emblem in platinum set into the stone. On her hands is a pair of black lace fingerless gloves. Should she be handling silverware or glass, she also has a pair of fine cotton white gloves, typical of house servants, tucked into the waist apron she wears. Her lower forearm is covered with a wide, white forearm cover, which is black bordered as well, and buttoned along an edge. On her head is a white lacy headdress typical of maids.

As for the waist apron, it is rather small, being black with white lace patterns. Lafiel's pinstripe shirt actually covers a bit of the top, such as the ties that is tied around her waist. It is quite small, as it is round at the front and only reaches 3/4 down her thigh, with her dress being a slight bit longer and more visible. Lafiel's skirt is black as well with a thin white line border and lace trimmings, whilst she has black stockings and topped off with low, black, enclosed business heels.

Special Talents/ Abilities:
As well as her maid and bodyguard, Lafiel knows a large number of languages and acts as her mistress' translator

Weapons:
One of Lafiel's top responsibility is to guard the mistress' well being. Therefore she has a plethora of weapons on her. Even though firearms are widespread in her universe, it by no means the most powerful. Highly trained fighters with melee weapons, like Lafiel, are capable of overcoming opponents armed with guns, though these people are becoming less. With that, Lafiel has a thigh strap which holsters several small throwing knives and a tanto horizontally behind her waist. The tanto is identical to her tachi. Her tachi is vertically positioned above her tanto behind her waist. Mounted on both arms under her sleeve is a pair of retractable blades mounted underneath a bracer. Lastly, she has a Seburo M5 as her personal firearm, holstered on her other thigh. Despite having a pistol, she much prefers to use her knives.

Strength:
Lafiel is extremely astute and has eagle eyes, capable of discerning the smallest details. It is what allows her to fight with melee weapons so effectively in fast paced combat. It is mostly used when she check on the maid's work, the chef's food and such around the estate, but most importantly, it allows her to survey scenes for potential danger to her charge.

Weakness:
As stated above, Lafiel is rather closed off, even with friends. She is willing to help and advise for other people, but will keep to herself her own problems, mostly due to her belief that she does not wish to trouble others. If she can do it herself, she will without bothering other people.

Vitality:
Low in terms of taking hits. Lafiel is not trained to be a soldier and to take punishment. Her combat is quick and avoid being injured. Additional protective muscle mass are a hindrance. Therefore she can take at most high single digit number of hits.

Speed:
High. It is how she fights. Fast refelx and fast speed. Lafiel's speed may seem super human to some in her ability for instant acceleration, though this is only for a short distance

Stamina:

Different depending on the type. Combat stamina, she is average only. She is not trained for constant extended combat as her priority is her Mistress' safety. If she can have a short respite between combat, she can recover, but constant combat is not her specialty. As for general stamina, she can walk for ages and work for even longer. As the head maid, Lafiel has a lot of duties and she has, over the years, built up an impressive endurance stamina. Her ability to perform copious amount of work beyond the ability of a normal human has earned her the nickname


Reflex:
As the other component of her combat style, this is also absurdly high. It is needed considering she combat enemies armed with guns. Instincts play a major part and she would react to small actions that are out of the ordinary. This is made possible only due to her ability to discern the smallest details.

Fighting Style:
Even without her powers, Lafiel fought like the old days, with fast pin point strikes and finesse. The ideal was that fight was ended with a single decisive strike, taken when an opening is created. Of course, in practice, this isn't the case as people have fought even after being wounded. The general idea stands that with heightened reflex and speed, one is to avoid all damage and launch critical strikes, relying on technique and precision over brute strength. Lafiel fights as such. Her blades and her innate ability for detail and calculation. By taking in details, she can plot out potential attacks and assign them percentages of likelihood of happening. As such, it is like chess. By gathering data off her opponent via their appearance, attitude, fighting style and body stance, Lafiel deduces and plan. The more skilled the fighter, the harder it is to allocate percentage certainly. By using speed, Lafiel is able to close in on opponents, even if they wield guns, by taking advantage of her extreme acceleration and speed. By getting up close, her intentions are always take them out with minimal movement before they can react. She is more than willing to attack without notification and set traps, but in essence, she gets close and deal with them efficiently. Her dancing through bullets, using her wrist blades to dive kill people and even twirling and sword play may seem flashy, but it is the olden style which the newest generation cannot compute. Therefore, to them, it appear purely aesthetic and useless, but there is a point to it being used.

Throw in her ability to freeze time, Lafiel is one of the few remaining that can use melee entirely in fights. Bullets really don't mean much to her considering she can dodge most and with her power, most people would be hard pressed to actually hit her. By freezing time, she can also synergise her duplication ability with her throwing knives and launch them at her enemy. While it doesnt move until she disperses her freezing ability, the do retain their velocity. It is this where she earns her "Hammer Space Lafiel" nickname as people literally see her pull out massive number of weapons at time from nowhere. With her short sword, she uses it to parry and at times slash. It is more an off hand weapon that deals lesser damage but keep people occupied while her main sword is used from piercing to slashing, generally dealing out major damage.


Magic:
Lafiel possesses two magical abilities that she use together rather well. One is Freezer ability and the other is the duplicator ability.

Freezer: Freezer is the ability in which she can freeze time instantly. All things during its duration ceases moving except for herself.

Duplicator: Duplicator is the
ability to clone/ duplicate things. The size of the item impacts on how many she can clone. Knives and such can be mass cloned, while a heavy machine gun is less.

Other Skills

Bad Habits:
As a disciplined maid, Lafiel has close to zero bad habits. The only thing she has that can be relatively close to a bad habit is that when she is thinking, her hands are usually beind her back with interlaced fingers. She would drum her fingers in order on her knuckles.

History:
Lafiel has no past. The only detail that is known about her is her birthplace, her birthday and her first name. All of which was gathered from the medical tag that was on her wrist. Rheimsberg was in turmoil due to war and there were thousands upon thousands of orphans. On the losing side of a war they instigated, its lines were collapsing and its capital was soon to fall. General Asimov Gremory led his army through Lorraine in a bloody battle. Upon clearing a hospital in which most of its previous occupants were either dead or evacuated, General Gremory, found a single child, a toddler, sitting in the dark corner of a surgery hall. The sector has been cleared before, but not searched and has been quiet for days. It could only meant that she had been alone for at least 3 days. The girl, however, did not utter a single word nor cried. She only stared at the general with resigned, dead eyes. He did not know why he did it, whether it was through obligation as a noble or through guilt, but General Gremory picked up the girl and took her under his care. The war was to end soon, so he was able to look after the girl. Through the remaining few months, the girl appeared indifferent to who he was or what was going on. On impulse and through some affection of his own, when the war ended, he took her to his estate to be a companion for his daughter.

Of course, Lafiel did not become adopted. Rather, she was taken in to serve the General's daughter, Lady Shia Gremory-Laffinty. General Gremory wanted her daughter to at least have a confidant as well as a servant and guard rolled into one, which is what Lafiel was to become. She accompanied Lady Shia in her classes and free time and was also put through training and education in house work and guarding skills. Her physical prowess was uncanny, even irregular. Lafiel's ability to quickly learn skills and information meant that she outstripped her fellow class companion by a large degree and was ready to work much earlier than the rest. At 12, she already had the ability to fulfill her position as given by the Master. Diligently, she accompanied and guarded Lady Shia. Lafiel even went and adopted her Mistress' name, rather than the generic Gremory, signifying that her final master would be Shia. Her mysterious ability to complete an incomprehensible amount of work, both maid and bookkeeping has befuddled many in the household. All besides the Mistress, the Master and a select few knew of her abilities. Paired with her natural prowess, she was given the position of Head Maid at 16. Lafiel never stagnated from learning and training, aiming always to become better for Shia. The lady, concerned whether she deserved such devotion, particularly since her country was defeated by her own, was given the answer that she was simply too small for it to matter. The path that has led to where she is right now only mattered.

Now 20, Lafiel is at her peak, as always, running the estate and its staff on a tight ship. Despite the closeness between Shia and Lafiel, not once has she ever tried to pu herself on equal grounds with the Lady. Her subservient attitude and unwavering loyalty towards Shia has earned her the monniker "Eternal Servant", along with "Hammer Space Lafiel" amongst people. However, also at 20, Lady Shia entered internship at the Royal palace, learning how to govern her land and learn political and military tactics. While Lafiel would have not hesitated to accompany her, Lady Shia insisted that she take a break while she stayed at the palace dormitories, even stating that it was an order. With the largest portion of her duties gone for a while, Lafiel has too much free time on her hand at the estate. Training and seeking knowledge was not enough to keep her occupied. Lafiel hoped that the Lady would return as soon as possible so that she wouldn't feel like she was stagnating. She would even be happy if something happened so that her body and mind would be stimulated, whether it be a festival, a show or, God forbid, some sort of adventure or incident that requires her assistance.

Shiara stands at 5’5 and weighs around 113 pounds, which is quite normal for her. Her attire consists for a black dress that is white around the front. On her dress are white straps around her arms to keep it as form fitting as possible as she doesn’t particularly enjoy showing off her skin. The dress itself goes down to the bottoms of her knees. To avoid showing skin under it, she wears long black socks that go to her thigh.

Her hair is somewhat long going slightly below the midsection of her back. On her planet, purple hair is actually quite normal. Towards the end of her hair it gets to a slight blonde color. Her eyes are a very bright green which is very easy for people to confuse as a bright yellow due to the shade of them.

When fighting, her appearance changes somewhat. Her hair tends to go from purple to shades of red and orange (as consistent with fire as her element). Her eyes will also turn a dark red. However, as soon as she stops using her element and gets out of combat, her appearance goes back to normal.

Personality: As a noble on her world, she has a very high sense of entitlement that tends to get her into more trouble than it does anything else. She finds that more often than not when she wants something that she should get it. Overall, she can be overbearing and rude. However, if one manages to gain her respect, she can actually be quite nice when she wants. Unlike others of her stature, she realizes when someone should be respected and when she should be nice and courteous. However, old habits do die hard, and she can catch herself snap at someone unexpectedly.

Her temper is rather short which leads to outbursts regardless. She doesn’t enjoy being made fun of or being belittled in the slightest. Because of her “quick to anger” method of doing things she can often be far too quick to judge a situation and react horribly because of it.

When she isn’t being somewhat spoiled or getting angry, she will attempt to be as polite and courteous as possible. However, all it really takes is one wrong move on their part and she can’t help but say something rude or mean that most people wouldn’t enjoy. Due to her powers, though, she doesn’t really fear anyone doing anything to her to care. This makes her rather cocky and arrogant and her massive ego can get her into serious trouble if she doesn’t keep herself in check.

She is very cautious when it comes to most people. It takes a lot to get her trust as she doesn’t really trust anyone, and if that trust is ever betrayed, one will never get it back. To say that forgiveness doesn’t come easily for her would be false; forgiveness doesn’t come at all. If someone attempts to harm her or anyone she happens to care for, she will not stop until she burns their body to a crisp.

When it comes to people, it’s very rare for her to be attracted to anyone. From a long line of practice she’s found that she’s incapable of being attracted to a man. Far too many of them are much too arrogant even for her. However, even with women it’s rare for them to ever be more than just friends.

For the most part, she enjoys keeping to herself and reading or attempting to learn how to control her power better.

First impression: Most find her to be cute and rather approachable. They quickly find that they’re wrong about the approachable aspect as she’s very likely to yell out “what do you want” at them and tell them to leave.

Special Talents/abilities: Quite proud of it, Shiara can play the piano quite well.

Strengths: Due to her light frame, she is fast. Due to the nature of her powers, fire doesn’t harm her.

Weaknesses: However, also due to her light frame, she can’t quite take a beating. Also due to the nature of her powers, she is useless in rain, water, and anyone able to use those elements.

Fighting style: She is very direct and to the point. She doesn’t attempt to do anything flashy. Shiara knows just as well as anyone that while she may be capable of grand explosions; she is very weak physically. Therefore she moves fast to avoid being hit, and unleashes with everything she has to avoid losing. In a fight, Shiara doesn’t know what restraint is. However, this can lead to her getting burned out rather easily if she isn’t careful.

History: The Blackrune family has always been, as far back as people remember, a well respected family. They have high power in politics due to their stature and money. However, this has been something that Shiara has never really cared for. Like most of her family, she has held herself high, but she differed in the fact that she never cared about the politics. The family got powerful due to the fact that the family used to have powerful Mages in their family. However, that has long since passed, and now Shiara is looking to restore her family’s power by becoming powerful herself.

This has long set her at ends with her family whom have only wanted her to be an obedient girl to marry off one day. They are not happy with her decision, but she couldn’t care any less. At a young age she started teaching herself how to use fire based magic. Many times her family has attempted to stop her, but they have always failed. As she grew older, she began taking classes for it. Needless to say, most of her life has revolved around becoming the best she can possibly be.

However, at the age of 16, she had quite had enough. Her family was getting to the point where they would refuse to let her train in peace at all. So, after taking as much money as she possibly could, she went out to see the world while training. She had never left her own home before then, so she figured it to be a great opportunity. She is now 19 and she figures she still is powerful, but is looking for something more… interesting. As of now she stays in hotels every night and reads as she is far too annoyed to head back home and face her family again.

Personality: Ophelia’s personality is unpredictable, but by default she isn’t quite all there. She’s subject to daydreams, wandering off on her own, and to giving into her curiosity much as a child would, without any regard for the consequences of her actions.


Reprimands and a serious tone do little to deter Ophelia. She dances to the beat of her own tune, and often wears a slightly vacant smile and can often be heard humming or singing to herself even in situations that would scare most people out of their minds. Sometimes she can even be seen dancing around, talking to birds, flowers, or other life forms that she can’t logically commune with. She rarely loses these traits, even if she herself is in mortal danger, or her loved ones have been placed into peril.


Upon forming attachments, which she does rather easily, Ophelia naturally adapts a maternal nature towards them, and often feels more cool and composed in their presence, finding pleasure in the simple things such as interaction and conversation, and delight in doing feminine things such as hair, makeup etc. This can often calm her down and tone her typically high strung nature down a little.


Even in battle, Ophelia will fight with that same vacant smile. Any fury, remorse, delight or other lingering emotion will be stashed away until after the battle. Especially strong emotions can cause her façade to crack if her enemy invokes them, however.


Capture and the general sensation of being helpless is Ophelia’s biggest fear, and the prospect of this can easily trigger her secondary personality; that of a screaming, struggling mental wreck who cannot be placated naturally. It would take a tranquiliser or other method of incapacitation to calm her down during these episodes.


Sometimes, when in extreme pain or while watching an innocent person die or get captured, her second personality can be triggered, though it would be easier to calm her down in this state since her own personal freedom isn’t at stake.


First Impression: A woman who isn’t all there, who hums and sings even in inappropriate situations; a woman without much in the way of social grace.


Attire: Favors flowing black or red dresses over anything else, with a black longcoat, low black heels and a blue bow in her otherwise unkempt hair.

Fighting Style : Ophelia utilises a method of fighting that involves large amounts of spacing and distancing. She utilises electric force fields and teleportation to keep this distance a constant factor in battle, and will follow up this distancing with lightning bolts, manipulation of electric devices, electrifying sources of water, and electrifying flammable substances to force them to catch fire.


If forced into close ranged combat, Ophelia will manipulate photons to her advantage, charging them and causing them to burst to burn her enemy. She will also wrap herself in electric currents to force a static discharge onto an enemy that fights her at melee range, while using her knife to slice and stab. However, her close range combat is clunky, clumsy, and unrefined, and she often makes mistakes while solidifying her defence, and has underestimated the blast range of her photons and hurt herself in the past.




Magic : Her primary ability is teleportation. As of the start of the RP, she is capable of teleporting anywhere she has seen before. However, if she cannot actually see the destination with her physical eyesight, she is likely to faint upon reaching her destination. Teleporting between worlds or over large bodies of water is impossible for her as of the start of the RP.


She can also use electricity to her advantage, causing photons to burst, generating force fields, launching bolts of unrefined electricity from above or straight ahead of her. She can also hack into electric devices and cause an immediate malfunction, while electrifying bodies of water and setting flammable substances on fire. This ability is unrefined, however, and she has a less definitive grasp on it.

History: Born to a doctor and a lawyer, Ophelia had it all growing up. Money, the influence of being the daughter of a rich family, a prestigious education, and a sizable inheritance when she turned eighteen. However, that all changed one day when she was twenty three and she was captured by shady figures outside her home.


Stowed in a black van, for three days the only human contact Ophelia had was when they opened her mouth and force fed her some disgusting stew so that she wouldn’t starve. She was blindfolded the entire time and gagged outside of meals.


Her blindfold but not gag were ripped off one day, and she was placed before some swirling green thing five times as tall and three times as wide as she was. Before she had time to analyse her surroundings or the thing before her, she was pushed into the strange thing that swirled in the air, and a terrible burning sensation came over her, followed by unconsciousness.


Her torture began one day later. She was kept in a cell in barely humane conditions, and for someone who had had everything they wanted and needed their entire life, this was particularly jarring. And for the staff, who were yet to refine their torture methods, she was simply a test dummy.


Dubbed Subject Three, she was stabbed, injected, prodded, shot with blanks, had her arms and legs broken and reset, hair pulled out or shaved, back branded, fingernails and toenails ripped out then artificially reformed, eyelashes ripped off, nose broken, and back and chest whipped in an attempt to call out some kind of power she wasn’t even aware she had.


Of course, the experiments and torture unhinged her, as such things do. As her mind was broken and torture methods refined, the men in white suits called her from her “room” less and less, and more people were called out and actually activated their powers. Ophelia’s last experiment was over a year ago, and she can barely even remember her old life anymore.

Personality: Connor is a devious prankster. he loves playing tricks and has been in the trickster business for many years. Many would say he is Gentle demon. His pranks don't exactly cause long lasting harm. His eyes shine with mystery and he smiles in an erie yet taunting way. He is always one step ahead and searches his options critically.

Despite the insults about being a "Stupid little sneak-thief prankster" He is actually rather smart and likes to talk about the world. he knows his life lessons and knows when things cross the line. He is easy to trust and easy to forgive.
For him though, he is easy to trust you. But you will have to go through hell in order to gain his forgiveness. It's not everyone who can genuinely say they are friends with Connor Spiritum.

Aside from that He is also rather whimsical. seemingly sometimes detached from reality. He might meander on about random things and just seem plain Ghosty.

First Impression: Upon sight you'd think of him as an average school kid. Upon closer inspection you would label him as a kindhearted sneak. If you talk with him you'd identify him with a prankster and a thief. possibly rebellious teenager. Possibly also a little whimsical and detached. Upon gaining trust you'll see he isn't all the bad. You'd also see his sexual preference and the vast amount of knowledge he knows.

He wears black running shoes as well. This is his usual gear for the road. It's lightweight and hard to spot amongst the crowd. The jacket was something he found in a puddle. the pants are his normal wear. The shoes we're found on a road curb. He occasionally dons a ice-blue scarf as well.

Lately however, he has been keeping a self made retractable Rapier on him. It's hidden in a microphone he carries around. The head of the microphone was made out of a real microphone head. Connor(With help from Titus) modified it to open and close like a container. Titus then attached it to a retractable rapier because the crime was so bad. That way Connor could be safe. He finds it too much of a hassle and is thinking about getting rid of it in place of something more ranged.

(think of it like the toy lightsabers. retractable into the bottom compartment. allowing each "section" that progressively get's smaller to fit into the base. That ways with a simple swing downward, the sword would slide out and lock into place. It must be manually pushed back it. By either using your hand or stabbing it into the ground.)

Strengths: He's fast, quick on his feet. His knowledge of tricks and stealth is useful for stealth missions and sneaking. his whimsical and rather mysterious nature is also useful for making people leave him alone. To the people who "dig" his loner personality, he is quite trained in the arts of persuasion and can minorly influence peoples decisions. He has a habit of popping up out of nowhere. Allowing him to startle people.

Weaknesses: He may overthink ideas, causing them to become needlessly complicated and more dangerous. He likes a well thought out plan almost obsessively to the point that if he screws something up he will think of about 5 different scenarios in order to deflect any possible oncoming trouble. This then leads him to becoming panicky and snarky. He also doesn't pay attention to the background much. So someone from afar could notice him and he wouldn't have the faintest idea. While he puts up a indifferent font, if you break past his barrier he becomes much less snarky and more scared and shy. This can be exploited. He's also scared of the dark.

Vitality : He's fit as a fourteen year old can be. Moderately healthy get's his daily exercise like most should. He's is prone to getting sick though, and it's always bad sicknesses like stomach flu's that make you hurl. His immune system isn't the best, which is why he get's sick like this.


Speed : For a prankster, he is fast. You need to be. he can outspeed the everyday adult who never get's exercise. a jogger can catch up and Gym people will most certaintly be able to match speed with and overtake.


Stamina : Stamina varies by speed. If he's running at his hardest he will get tired out really quickly. If he's jogging he can go farther. When it comes to climbing he becomes nervous sometimes. making him run out of breath and lose his grip. He is a Ok swimmer. but needs help swimming long distances.


Reflexes: He is not really a instinctive person. Which means his reflexes somewhat suffer from it. his whimsical nature is prone to disrupting his hand-eye coordnation and his detached from reality facade also makes his reflex suffer. If you manage to break into him though. His reflexes are very mightily increased and he becomes very defensive and instinctive.

ECT) It also helps him with his sneakiness by shifting into another person or turning into a Bat to scare someone.

Connor wasn't particularly close with his parents. But he did love them. His mother's death certainly off put him for a while. It effected Titus the most though. So Connor had to Chip in to help out.

History: Connor was born in Glasgow Scotland. December 25 1998. His mother, Skye Davis. Had met a Greek man over in Greece and had dated him for a while. Upon return home to Glasgow 6 months later. She found that she was pregnant. Skye went through a lot of trouble to notify the man she had dated. Titus Spiritum. Titus had quickly come from Greece to Scotland to meet up with Skye. He stayed with her and learned English in order to be with her.

When Connor turned twelve, Skye was killed in a plane crash as she was flying home from Glasgow. This was right when Titus was about to ask her hand in marriage. After that..Titus became quite unemotional. Taking Connor and moving to America. trying to forget everything about his past life. Connor grew up with the help of many people on the streets. He wasn't a gangster. but the things he learned have saved his life many times.

His father had recently gotten a new job. It was a as a Advertising campaign of sorts. He was required to fly to each meeting lest they we're in New York itself. While roaming the streets of his neighborhood. a Sharp pain pierced his head. then his entire body. A combination of all the pains he had been feeling. pushed into one. He fainted.

when he awoke, he was laying face down in the hotel Feeling like his previous encounter was just a dream. He opened his eyes to find himself face to face with a rather angry Father. Titus had found him passed out on the sidewalk and had gone ballistic. Titus began drilling him with question after question, his fear shown plainly on his face. Connor assured him that everything was fine and that he had fainted from a sudden pain. As he father left the room(and telling Connor to stay in bed) Connor sighed. Turning his head to look out the window. The sunset that had been falling had now lowered to a rather blood red sky.

His eyes closed tiredly and he wished, beyond anything else he could just go fly off some where and just ignore his father. Suddenly another feeling arose within him. A Feeling he had no time to react on. His body quickly started to change and before he could make a sound. he had feathers. And wings. Even a beak. For a moment silence echoed. before opening his beak and letting out a long wistle.

Connor flapped his wings and started mentally telling himself; " I'm a human! I'm a Human!" Just like that, he was back to normal. He panted as he willed his mind to stop freaking. He had just become an animal.

As the meetings continued in new york, Connor kept trying out his ability. he and shortly mastered how to turn into a animal. But had no idea how else the power worked. He was always quick to run away at the first hint of noise. As the days progressed, he didn't realize the audience he was getting.

As he transformed into a snake. he thought he saw eyes.

A rapier is about 3 feet long on average, and that's a bit much to be retracted into a microphone. Turn it into a dagger or something shorter, perhaps? It sounds a bit too... impractical as it is. (Yes, I'm saying this in a roleplay about magic. Sue me.)

Magic : Shifter. he is able to shift his form to any living thing. This allows him to work with his sneak attack fighting style and his defensive methods. (Turning into a snake to inject poision. turning into a puppy to make him seem harmless. ECT) It also helps him with his sneakiness by shifting into another person or turning into a Bat to scare someone.
This... well. The bolded part under fighting style doesn't make too much sense to me. It's a fragment that doesn't finish an idea again. Perhaps you meant for it to go with the next sentence, though. We'll see after you reply, I suppose.

As for magic, be very careful with this. The snake part in particular made me nervous, as it could be used to gain an extremely unfair advantage. As long as you're careful though, I have no problem.



Family: Father: Titus Spiritum, 35. A Rather clingy jealous guy and sort of neglectful father. But he's not too bad.

Mother(Deceased): Skye Davis, 37. She was a Traveler and action girl. She didn't exactly want to settle down. she didn't even realize she was pregnant until 6 months later when she returned to Glasgow.

Connor wasn't particularly close with his parents. But he did love them. His mother's death certainly off put him for a while. It effected Titus the most though. So Connor had to Chip in to help out.

Does Traveler have a specific meaning, or have you simply capitalized it for no reason? And not realizing you're pregnant for six months is very unrealistic. Certain... bodily functions stop when you're preggers. Past that, this section is okay.



History: Connor was born in Glasgow Scotland. December 25 1998. His mother, Skye Davis. Had met a Greek man over in Greece and had dated him for a while. Upon return home to Glasgow 6 months later. She found that she was pregnant. Skye went through a lot of trouble to notify the man she had dated. Titus Spiritum. Titus had quickly come from Greece to Scotland to meet up with Skye. He stayed with her and learned English in order to be with her.

When Connor turned twelve, Skye was killed in a plane crash as she was flying home from Glasgow. This was right when Titus was about to ask her hand in marriage. After that..Titus became quite unemotional. Taking Connor and moving to America. trying to forget everything about his past life. Connor grew up with the help of many people on the streets. He wasn't a gangster. but the things he learned have saved his life many times.

His father had recently gotten a new job. It was a as a Advertising campaign of sorts. He was required to fly to each meeting lest they we're in New York itself. While roaming the streets of his neighborhood. a Sharp pain pierced his head. then his entire body. A combination of all the pains he had been feeling. pushed into one. He fainted.

when he awoke, he was laying face down in the hotel Feeling like his previous encounter was just a dream. He opened his eyes to find himself face to face with a rather angry Father. Titus had found him passed out on the sidewalk and had gone ballistic. Titus began drilling him with question after question, his fear shown plainly on his face. Connor assured him that everything was fine and that he had fainted from a sudden pain. As he father left the room(and telling Connor to stay in bed) Connor sighed. Turning his head to look out the window. The sunset that had been falling had now lowered to a rather blood red sky.

His eyes closed tiredly and he wished, beyond anything else he could just go fly off some where and just ignore his father. Suddenly another feeling arose within him. A Feeling he had no time to react on. His body quickly started to change and before he could make a sound. he had feathers. And wings. Even a beak. For a moment silence echoed. before opening his beak and letting out a long wistle.

Connor flapped his wings and started mentally telling himself; " I'm a human! I'm a Human!" Just like that, he was back to normal. He panted as he willed his mind to stop freaking. He had just become an animal.

As the meetings continued in new york, Connor kept trying out his ability. he and shortly mastered how to turn into a animal. But had no idea how else the power worked. He was always quick to run away at the first hint of noise. As the days progressed, he didn't realize the audience he was getting.

As he transformed into a snake

Okay, every underlined section above contains one or more fragments. They were greatly distracting to me as I read your history, and I'd really appreciate it if you'd try to clean those up a bit. Most of the periods could simply be turned into commas to fix it, and the capitals turned into lowercase letters. Until I've seen the fragments remedied, I won't be accepting this bio. Sorry about that, but it's just too much of a distraction for me.

Any idea when the RP starts? I was curious if you would accept bios after it started, as I already have a character made that could fit in this RP rather well. But due to school and other things, I can't join right away or anytime soon. :hmmm: But I am interested ~
 
Gad, i keep getting writers block on a certain part. Ill try and get it done as soon as possible
 
I'm going to go ahead and claim a character, and say I shall start working on a bio soon. :3 I need to think about what powers I want. :hmmm:
