[SU/D] Children of Aether

So be it...

well, I'll just wander around London, wait for Poppy to rear her ugly head. I'll post once my headache subsides.

I'm afraid you'll have to go to her; she's not leaving the forest she's made out of Regent's Park, at least not for a while. xD

If Tristana and Heath are going to be together on their own for a while, they'd probably get there first...although I really need Diar's other witch with Poppy before anyone gets there, for plot purposes that cannot be revealed yet :gonk:

Expect some Pee Emms soon, so I can confirm a few things and we can get the next set of events sorted out~

Adding in the Valkyries sounds cool, also just a small reminder I will be gone for a good 2 weeks starting June 1st. So if you just wanna have Ardis get knocked out whatever fell free to.

I'll try to have Alyss meet up with the two of them soon. I've just got to find a way to get her over there first. :gasp:

Alias: Jennyver Nolis

True Name: Morgayne

Age: 20

Gender: Female

Affiliation: Witches

Element: Water

Appearance:

Looking somewhat younger than her actual age, Jennyver normally stands out with an slightly intimidating aura. She stands at 5”7, being the average height of most girls, and weighs around 116 lbs – together giving her a slim figure. Her skin is only slightly tan, contrasting with the sharpness of her clear white eyes that matched her hair – which is wavy and reaches all the way down to her back. Very rarely does she wear her hair up in any sort of up-do as she enjoys the feeling of her hair flowing freely. The makeup she wears consists of eyeliner and dark red lipstick. Hidden underneath her garments most of the time is a branding of a tribal butterfly on the left side of her lower back.

Jennyver's taste in attire is mostly formal. She hates wearing pants or anything that feels restrictive on her, and is mainly seen wearing a dress of some sort. The main outfit she wears is a deep blue and black pinstriped tube dress that frills out around mid-thigh length, and is cross laced on the back. For shoes, she wears black boots that reach a little bit over the ankle where the top of them folds over and are crossed laced in the front. A navy colored Victorian choker is worn around her neck while a silver spiral ear cuff is placed on her cartilage. She is often called cute, but is also judged to have a high maintenance attitude when people see her for the first time, or very open-minded.

Personality: Some of the things that people would think of when encountering Jennyver aren't too far from the truth. From the way she was raised, she is very sophisticated, and attitudes may vary depending on who she's talking to. She is not someone that likes to talk for long periods of time unless the topic in mind is very important, and prefers to speak words that completely elaborate the point wanting to be heard by whoever she's conversing with. Polite would be the description to fit her mood most of the time, but she's not one that's considered kind all of the time. She doesn't judge on appearance, but strictly does so by personality.

Coming along with Jennyver's mannered and chin-up noesis is her heavy skepticism. It is very rare to see her put her utmost faith in anyone that's human and has a pulse, and this is usually for her own safety. If anything sounds too good to be true or a fact, then she won't believe it, no matter how much of it is elaborated. Chances are she's doubting what a person is speaking about if she's quiet the entire time and has a tone that implies she's being sarcastic in her replies. Topics she's usually the least naïve about revolve around religious traditions and old celebrity history.

One attribute that Jennyver has that others would find very ironic is that she's a little bit of a coquette. Having several good relationships in her time, she finds the concept of companionship to be very complex than difficult, so she is considered a dependent person – having no qualms with having ane acquaintance as long as he or she is tolerable and honest. As much as she likes her solitude, she doesn't enjoy being alone all of the time; for she has met a number of people that have proved to her that there are people in the world with a good amount of sense in their mind.

Very rarely does Jennyver raise her voice at someone or something. In fact, when there's something that's needed to be said urgently, she usually just says so with a bold tone yet a calm expression, since she is more prone to be irritated than angered. She finds that yelling or shouting to be very unnecessary, as well as ill-mannered, and prefers any verbal confrontation to be talked out gradually and clear enough that a person will understand what the issue is at hand. It's not often that she may get physical with a person in general unless she absolutely has to, and is almost all of the time that she does out of self defense.

Biography: Jennyver was born almost right before her mother was sent to a psychiatric hospital due to her very ill-minded behavior. She often claimed that the father of her child -Eustice- was very abusive, and that he had threatened to kill her and her family many times – including Jennyver if she wasn't to be born as a male. However, the father has told people often (and has proven before) that his wife has an immense history of having night terrors, most of the time dreaming about her life in general and seeing him as a threat to her and anyone else connected with her. Nearly a week after Jennyver was born, her mother had attempted to trick her father into overdose out of fear that she would lose her daughter to him, yet Eustice was surprisingly sympathetic towards her, and had only sought help for her once she had been taken to the local asylum. Since then, he had proven his wife wrong by raising and taking care of Jennyver all on his own.

Jennyver had started to become fascinated by reading and knowledge when she was at a very young age, before she was even entered into schooling. She didn't care what she read about, whether if it was a children's book, a science fiction novel, or a satire. Once she finished reading all of the books in the household (that she could understand at the time), she would request Eustice to bring her library so that she could continue her hobby. The two of them had lived very close to one of the bigger cities of England, and Jennyver usually liked to visit the popular landmarks within it – learning a thing or two about the lifestyle and morals of whoever else resided there. One other thing that Jennyver liked to learn about was history, and she had became aware of most of the historical events that had occurred centuries ago in her hometown.

Despite that there hadn't been any major issues in the Nolis family, due to the past behavior of Jennyver's mother, Eustice was also a very protective father, and questioned nearly all of the people that his daughter had met that wasn't a friend to the family. By the time she was old enough to go to school, she was enrolled in an all girls private school in Windermere, and often wondered why she couldn't go to a regular school. Despite this, she found school to be tolerable for her preferences. She was considered one of the smarter students within her classes, and had gained a fair share of admirers from this – as well as rivals. While teachers would complement Jennyver for her intelligence above norm for girls her age, she was also teased and mocked by several classmates -some she didn't even know- for knowing more than she should have. She was often called a showoff, as well as a brat, as rumor had it that she didn't appreciate the schooling she would receive at all just because it was private.

Because of this, Jennyver was easily intimidated by some of the girls at her school, and feared that being different was a bad thing due to her level of academics. This had all happened when she was just in the 3rd grade, but when Eustice had heard about the treatment she was getting, he took it up to the head mistress of the school that the students there needed to be disciplined more properly if one was considered a reject for being astute. However, this was the first time that Jennyver had officially seen her father upset about something, and in an small attempt to calm him down, she assured him that she would personally deal with anyone else that tried to hurt her feelings.

Unlike how most people would retaliate to attacks during the time, Jennyver was slow to anger as she grew up. She was often admired for being to handle confrontation strongly yet sedately at the same time. All she had to do was state facts, and twist words that were thrown at her against the other person. As much as she preferred this method of handling general circumstances, she was forced into taking self defense courses by Eustice anyway in case she 'got more than she was used to'. By the time she finished Middle School, she clearly asked her father if she could enter into a public High School rather than a private one, as she felt she was missing out on something that was known to the general public but not to her – or the other girls at her past schools.

With a lot of mentation, Eustice let Jennyver have her way and admitted her into a local high school that met with her academic needs, and he had become more tense than he was before since then. Within due time, she began to notice this change in attitude, and soon approached her father as to why he's always been the way he was. For the first time in ages, he had brought up the situation with her mother and her mental condition, and only said that he didn't want Jennyver to end up like his wife did. The only thing he didn't bring up was where her mother was currently, making up the excuse that she had become lost at sea years ago during a business trip and that he hadn't heard from her since then. However that lie was soon unconcealed when Jennyver had found a particular piece of paper within the set of mail that they would receive each day. To her shock, it was a monthly report from the asylum that her mother was sent to, with her surname matching the family's, and a list of stages that she was recovering from – starting off with the night terror disorder.

At that point, Jennyver may have experienced real anger for the first time in her life. She was mad at Eustice for being so overly protective of her when doing the simplest activities or hanging out with people she considered to be friends, mad that he would try to keep her safe to the point of actually lying to her, and infuriated that he had kept her mother's history to himself rather than telling her honestly, since she had the absolute right to know as her daughter. For nearly a month, Jennyver refused to speak to her father since she didn't want to make an outburst at him, and spent a lot of the time outside of the Nolis manor so that she could regain her peace of mind. On her 16th birthday, she spent most of the day at the Lake District, and that's where she had met contact with the Horned King for the first time, and was given abilities she would have never thought she was capable of using.

She had gained the powers to control water in all places and forms, as the Horned King acknowledged that she had a tranquil and relaxed egotism, one that matched the nature of water itself, but with great emotions came great destruction that could happen if she were to lose control. But she was trusted by this entity to use her powers well as it was rare she did anything irrational, and she was also warned about the other witches that were roaming around the residents of the city – some possibly having good intentions and no harm to commit if she encountered them, and some with the worst goals imaginable, ones she may have to keep her guard up from. Who they were, she wouldn't know until she met one or more of them that would reveal it so. Once the day was over, Jennyver hadn't heard from the Horned King since.

Once Jennyver graduated from High School, she had found work to do as a tour guide for the many of the cities of England, and had made fairly enough to buy her own loft within two years of working. She had lost respect for her father, and didn't want to see him until he had realized that he needed a change. She had also made plans that once he had passed away, she would inherit the Nolis manor for herself and move back in. Now being 20 years young, not only is she interested in possibly encountering her own kind, but she also has a set goal in mind to one day get her mother out of the asylum, so that she would come to know that her daughter wasn't dead as she was convinced all of her life.

Expect my next bio up by Thursday. Sorry for any delay. Enjoying my interactions so far. XD

Meddy, you're accepted~

Diar, I need to get you on MSN somewhen soon so we can fully detail our plans :gasp:
All the same, thanks for letting me know. No worries; we're still a fair way off from our main sequence of events. xD

Also, as a general notification, I have decided to leave Valkyries out of the RP...instead (provided people are interested) they'll be one of the main plot points in the sequel RP, Maidens of Aether, which would be set three years after the current RP and, for those whose characters survive, you'd be able to carry them over, naturally~

Children of Aether WILL have a definitive conclusion, though. It can be absolute if people don't want to take part in the potential sequel, or it will be sufficiently open ended that a sequel wouldn't be totally unfeasible...agh, it'll make more sense when the grand scheme is unveiled. xD

Also, regarding Eliza: she won't be an antagonist after all, I've decided. Poppy is more than enough. But she would be the antagonist for the majority of the sequel RP...can say no more of this without spoilers. xD

In the meantime, the only thing pinned down is the ending sequence of events between myself and Diar, as well as the things we've been planning in PMs and have agreed upon. Scheme away~

Ah, so you have a sequel planned. Excellent, Excellent. Noblesse is amused. :ryan:

I have an idea about a relationship between Aldra and Eliza if you wish, hve them know each other, though I probably will wait for the sequel.

Alias: Freya

True Name: Isis

Age: 17

Gender: Female

Affiliation: Witches

Element: Aether

Appearance: Of average height for a woman at five foot four, Freya has upper back length, silvery hair, combed perfectly into a casual long length style. Green eyes are set in a face paled by white powder. Red lipstick and painted red nails add to this appearance.

When it comes to fashion, Freya doesn't exactly wear the most modern of clothes. A knee length black skirt and white shirt, along with black heels, make her stand out in a crowd, seeming as if she has just come from a high class girl’s school.

With a slim build and slightly underweight, combined with the pale powder on her skin, Freya can look rather sickly to any onlooker.

Personality: Timid and shy, Freya isn’t likely to initiate a conversation, being something of a wallflower, and easy to frighten. The slightest thing can set her on edge, causing her to pull nervously at her collar and look away from direct eye contact, among other nervous habits.

With a love for all things nature, she’s often happiest in her garden or local park, where she feels closer to nature. It is her place to “calm down” as it were.

With a strong naiveté and slightly young view of the world, she is quick to trust anyone who affords her even the slightest kindness, a trait that tends to cause worry in her friends and family.

She prefers the company of other girls, being nervous and quiet in front of males and not giving them eye contact or words, often stammering nervously when around them.

Bio: Meh. I’ll get to this. I’ve covered it with Martel, so I’m sure s/he won’t mind if I add to this later.

Character Theme: TBD

Battle Theme: TBD.

Accepted, Diar. That'll be quite adequate for what we have planned, unless you want to add more to it :ohoho:

Speaking of plans...all progresses at a good pace, yes? I hope you're all enjoying this as much as I am. Trust me, this is just the beginning of what we had planned for the overlying story :ryan:

Fully planned out now, as a matter of fact. But that won't be for at least three or four weeks, even with things progressing at the speed they are. xD

PM it to me? I love scheming, and I have a couple of plans of my own :yay:

If the sequel is even as half as exciting as this one, I'll be happy. This is easily some of the most I've had in a RP in quite sometime. :ryan:

Hmm. do you guys still need more knights? I'm thinking about making one myself in this rp.

I don't think it matters which one of us posts first. So if you want to, you can make a post before I do my next one . :ryan:

Ah it's just coz I don't have much to work with for my next post, and hoped you weren't waiting for me or anything. I'll post after you :)

That'd be my fault, sorry...I shouldn't write poasts when I'm otherwise occupied :gonk:

I'll try and get a poast up tomorrow morning, which should help move things along a bit, hopefully. I'm not in my zone at the moment :sad3:

Also, I'm not accepting any more apps Bathoin, since we're well and truly in the Ar Pee now...well, asides the Earth Witch. But if you're still interested at that point, I may have some spots open in the sequel I have planned~
