Can I be a Space Pirate Amazon Ninja Catgirl?

But seriously, dual-class is fine right?

Dual classes are fine =D I'd lol hard if you had a catgirl, though, since one of the recurring NPCs that Phoebs and I will employ is in fact a catgirl. No more spoilers from me, though!

Monarch - I lol at the appearance of Aqui. "Well endowed...but not her assets." Perfect attitude for this kind of RP xD I also like how you've made her into, to coin a phrase, an astrolomancer. Drawing on the power of the mystical nature of the constellations is an intriguing and inspired idea.

Just in general, I love the snippity-ness of Aqui's bio. Perfect attitude for a parodic RP like this.

So...yeah.... I'm going on 5 pages and I haven't even gotten to Mount yet.

...

Yeah...going on 7 pages now. Still have magic to do.

Something tells me you're gonna have a WTF face as you read mine.

Who said it would be because it was long?

...

More like he's....broken...without actually being so...

I second Phoebs' opinion: long-ass bios are great. Rarely can you ever be over-detailed (that being said, describing every atom on a sword would be...excessive), and due to the uncertain nature of RPs detail is a great thing to have. Can't wait to see it!

Monarch

I'm okay with this. I've made plans with Frau, so he'll be around as well. It'll be nice to get some early on communication.

Name: Clair

Alignment: Chaotic Neutral

Class: Duskblade Mage

Race: Half Fiend

Gender: Female

Age: 23

Appearance: Tall and slender at five foot ten, Clair has an almost unnaturally pale complexion, and red and black markings similar to war paint run down her cheeks and both above and below her eyes.

Her eyes are a bright blue, even in the whites, which gives her an unusual appearance, along with completely white hair that runs to her middle back, unstyled and not particularly taken care of, leaving it rather strewn and chaotic looking. Two short, smooth white horns, appearing to be made of ivory poke out of her scalp

When it comes to clothes, Clair dresses sparingly, preferring short skirts and tops that leave very little to the imagination. She wears a beaded necklace that shines several different colors when the sun shines on it. With a smooth face, and since her hair usually hides her horns, she can be considered quite beautiful if one can look past her odd facial markings.

Personality: By default somewhat airy and a little bit spoiled, Clair doesn't really think much for other people. It's not so much that she thinks she’s greater or they are less. She simply doesn’t consider other people much.

She doesn’t think much of love and commitment, and believes that brief, passionate connections are more than enough, while sustained, loving connections are both a waste of time and a waste of life.

While she is casual and ditzy most of the time, she can be serious when the situation calls for it, causing her personality to do a complete 180 as she thinks with logic and reason. However, she does find these episodes taxing on her psyche, and will revert back to her old ways as soon as she can.

She enjoys the thrill of battle and loves spilling the blood of her enemies. Rarely is Clair happier than when she is on the battlefield, and she will feel no remorse for her kills. In her mind, violence solves everything, and anyone who gets in her way is to be cut down. When she first enters battle, she will not be stopped until her final enemy is dead or until she is subdued.

She is flirtatious, and flirts with humans, elves, dwarves, half elves, halflings, and her fellow part fiends alike, often for no other reason than for the fun of it.

First Impression: As a part fiend with her prominent physical characteristics and sense of fashion, Clair is likely to be treated with disgust, fear, revulsion, or any combination of the three by most.

Statistics: [This important section will be broken down into segments as follows. Please note that there is one rule for this entire section: Remember logical limits as to avoid God-modding and mention any augmentations if applicable. This goes for every part of the stats section.]

Strength: With strength higher than the average human, Clair can break wound and packs a mean punch and kick. However, her strength is more lower body than upper, and as such, she cannot lift much more than the average human.

Vitality: With vitality higher than the average human, any particularly serious wound will still badly affect her. For example, a sword through the arm will render that arm useless until seen to by a medic, and a spear in the stomach will risk her death. However, she has an accelerated healing factor, allowing her to overcome minor wounds easily enough.

Speed: While she has a fast attack speed, Clair cannot close in on an enemy or run away from them quickly. Her running speed is slightly lower than a physically fit female human.

Stamina: In terms of durability, Clair cannot take much. She relies on getting fights finished quickly and without fuss. She can fight for a maximum of fifteen minutes before becoming weakened, and this time will obviously be lessened if she is severely injured in the meantime or if she uses a significant amount of energy on her abilities. Because most of her vital organs are human, she will tax them through continuous use of her abilities, causing her to pass out, go comatose, or even die should she overexert herself.

Reflexes: Due to a reliance on close range combat, Clair can only dodge close ranged attacks. Long ranged and medium ranged attacks will leave her cornered.

Fighting Style: Clair relies on getting in close and attacking with speed and power to finish the job. Because her abilities count on her being at close range to maximize their effects, if she can be kept at a distance, her effectiveness considerably lessens. She will use sword strikes, punches, kicks, and her close ranged magic to deal damage, and aims to end a fight quickly, for she has little in the way of energy, and her aforementioned human organs can cause her to weaken quickly.

Weapons: Wielding a naginata, a dual bladed weapon with the hilt in the middle, the hilt can be moved down to make a rapier-like weapon, or simply kept in the middle for a traditional naginata.

Mount: None.

Abilities: Blade of Darkness

Effect: Clair channels ten percent of her energy into her naginata to cause it to fester with a dark energy, visible as a dark purple mist clinging to the blade. If flesh is struck with this wound, it festers, heals slowly, may become infected, and causes more pain than a typical sword strike.

Magic:

Starting Magic:

Netherpulse
Element: Darkness
Damage: Moderate
Target: Single Enemy
Energy Drain: Light

Effect: A sphere forms between Clair and her enemy and surges towards them, losing power as it travels, making using this at close range most effective. Upon reaching her enemy, it will detonate, dealing moderate damage to the target and minor damage to any enemies standing near the target.

Pyral Whip
Element: Fire
Damage: Light
Energy Drain: Light

Effect: Clair forms a whip of fire in her hand, which she can then use as a weapon. If she is disarmed of this weapon by any means, it will immediately dissipate.

History: Born to a human mother and a demonic father, her mother gave her up at birth to protect her from her father, who didn’t want a child. Taken in by a compassionate foster family, she lived a relatively normal life for the first five years.

However, shortly after she hit five years of age, her demonic side started showing itself. Her adoptive parents, unable to give her up, as they had grown to love her, tried to keep her demonic side under control, and managed to stop any psychological problems from developing, as they did in so many part fiends.

However, this did not mean she had an easy life. With the stigma that came with the demonic things of Angria, Clair was shunned, reviled, and feared by her peers. However, after a time, she grew a thick skin and simply went about her day as normal.

While not all of her demonic urges could be suppressed, Clair still had the human urge to see more of the world, and now, at the age of 23, she has decided to leave home and see the world for herself…not that she is sure where to start.

Starting Location: Morris

More like he's....broken...without actually being so...

Worry not. Jon and me will help you get him unbroken or at the very least, manage that breakness. A good ideas for broken characters is to do what I've done with Ryan: Make them as ridiculous and absurd as you can. Give him a glaring weakness or flaw. Give him an insane (even stupid) quirk or habit. Give him some humanizing factor--like, he's insanely into puppies or softcore pr0n, or maybe he loves fishing or standing on his head for kicks.

If the powers he has make him broken, give them some flaw, a possibility of backfire or failure, give them some imperfections that he can work through in the course of the RP. Maybe there are enemies who are impervious to his attacks due to elemental issues.

Above all, don't fret so much, just go with what comes with you. Trust me when I tell you, Jon and me--'Ve haf vays...' of giving even broken characters a run for their money. >:3

@Frau - Yay another part-fiend! ^_^ And another girl. Ryan's going to be one happy bard--surrounded by girls and handsome guys (well except Ty, but Ryan loves his ugly mug anyway :3) that he can mole--I mean, that he can court and annoy to Hell. *evil giggle*

Just woke up. Have close to an 8 page bio, and I'm still lacking half the history and the personality. If all goes well, I'll have this up in about an hour or two.

XD Go go baby! You can do it! *cheers you on*

You'll have to see how he's broken. I almost pity the guy...

XD Oh pish posh. Trust me, love, when Ryan gets a hold of him, the drama'll be scared right outta him with absurdity, crazy humor and some inappropriate gestures of affection XD

>_> Seriously, don't expect seriousness to last long in this RP. We're determined to whack it on the head every so often. Ryan has a pretty nasty past of his own and a lot of present issues but he don't give a shit XD

Oh I'm not saying he won't fit in. But I just feel sorry for him.

yeah, I get that with Ryan sometimes...then he goes and tramples all over that by not giving a crap about it until something from his history comes and smacks him in the face with a glove. Usually he goes and takes a metal gauntlet and smacks it back a few times.

I'll repeat a great quote I learned that really justifies great characters:

"Out of suffering have emerged the strongest souls; the most massive characters are seared with scars." - Kahlil Gibran

It's a little credo I follow when I want to make characters that are memorable. No need to follow it to a T, but a little trouble goes a long way to make a person grow into someone interesting.

Yeah, I honestly don't see Mystro liking Ryan all that much, but it is definite they won't make enemies of eachother.

Name: Mystro Kajiki

Title: Music's Demon ; Demon of sound ; Demonic musician ; Maestro of Hell

Alignment: Chaotic good

Race: Dragoon + Human hybrid

Dragoons, often called Dragon knights, are demons granted with physical aspects of dragons. Usually, they are ferocious and ruthless. They have wings, tails, horns, and other draconian properties. They stand just as tall as humans, and usually have the same amount of fingers as humans. Their skin comes in many colors. their eyes have various unseen hues.

The rest is human. However, when a dragoon is mixed with a human, the human half is the most shown. They have human minds, and in the nights of the waxing moon (When the moon is going from new to full) in the moonlight, the dragoon side shows. Their draconian properties show themselves, often causing excruciating pain in the hybrid. However, only 1bout 1/3 of their draconian properties show themselves. In the Waning moon (full to new) they do the same thing, but this time around, 2/3 of their draconian properties reveal themselves. During the new moon, they become a full blown dragoon until the sun hit's their skin.

Hybrids also are often given inhuman powers, usually being very unique and unheard of.

Gender: Male

Age: 32

Appearance: His skin is very pale and he stands at 6'1" tall. His muscles are well toned but not very large, he has the body of a long distance runner. His eyes are a golden yellow but light reflects off of them as if they are made of mirrors, so looking him in the eyes it looks like there is no coloring at all. Long black, untamed hair flows off of his head. He wears no armor, but he does wear several layers of clothing. there is a white undershirt completely hidden by his layers. A black T-shirt rest over that. This is covered in yet another white long sleeve shirt. All shirts under this one are tucked in and completely hidden. A white jacket with black trimming flies loose from his upper body. He has a pitch black cloth belt holding up a pair of white dress pants. Bandages cover his left wrist and right arm. He wears black suede shoes that reach just above his ankles. These are steel toed. He always wears a porcelain mask that resembles his face perfectly, however it is all white. Underneath his sleeves and bandages lie many small scales that are not fully grown. These scales are white and, unlike during his releases, provide no protection to his body.
Bishi_106.jpg

Draconian release appearance:

Waxing moon: This is his most human release. He grows claws instead of hands. These tear out of his skin. His dragoon scales are not fully formed, but they act as chain mail. The scales start below his neck and stop just at the wrist. The scales are hard enough to stop him from being cut with weak force. The scales are mostly white with an odd black one here and there. They do seem to shimmer in the light, like little mirrors. What seems like should be horns are only starting to form on his head, and look like small nubs. He now has fangs.

Waning moon: This time around, he has horns that are full fledged. His scales are now harder, allowing him to prevent getting cut by a blade swung with moderate force. He would still feel the impact though, and it is not impossible to cut him. His claws are now sharper His scales still do not cover his face, however now the all white scales have a black design of a rose vine, but no rose. Instead, the thorny looking design simple wraps around his entire body. But not half of his hand is covered in scales and his eyes have become completely yellow, identical color to his full human form, excluding his pupil.

Full Dragoon release: The skin and scales on his back tears open and a pair of wings rip out of his flesh and unfold. On his cheeks, the scales have begun to form, but only the black ones, and all it is is a thin bit of the thorns reaching about an inch away from where his lips end. The inner half of his wings are bare skin and the bone structure is visible on the inner halves. The outter halves are covered in shiny black and white scales, imitating the previous designs. He scales on his wings are extra hard and can generally stop any blades with great ease. On his back, red scales have formed to show a rose. Reference this link

Personality: In order to get what you want, you have to kill. That's his number one belief. But he generally only fights for the common good of man. All he wants is people to be treated properly, rich or poor, people are people. But he will not fight the cause of this, instead he will fight the big head of power. Only if it is for the good of man kind. He's also not afraid to donate money and services to those that need it. He is surprisingly charitable for his looks, and loves to help out in the community wherever his services are required. But he also hates staying in the same scenery for too long, so he tends to move a lot.

Despite being a half demon, he still is keen to his human side. His human half gives him the desire to fight for the better good. Though, being half demon, his methods are often questioned, given his ruthlessness and apathy for any bistandards or substandards. In other words, his desires are different from most fiend blooded beings, but his methods are almost the same.

He never has any regrets, even if he mistakenly killed an innocent substandard. In fact, he does not hesitate to kill hostages, only because they are in the way. He will ruthlessly cut down anyone involved in some sort of harm. If he were to hear about something happening and the bearer of bad news asked what he was going to do, the reply would be, "Every last fucker who had anything to do with this." That's just how he works.

As for his friends, well, he doesn't have much. Who he is willing to call a friend is under the same judgment as his enemies, so a betrayal would not effect him emotionally. Approaching him with insult usually leads to a decapitation, unless the insulter is drunk, or has probable cause. If he is being insulted for killing a close one, he lets it slide. The pain is understandable. His enemies are the people around him. He does not trust, but he is not paranoid either. In mid battle, he might trust a person here and there, but only temporarily.

First impression: It's hard to tell if he is good or evil. He always looks so light and full of good, but his face shows a blank and flat look. Even his speech is flat. His emotions are so hidden, it's also hard to tell what his true desires are.

Strength: Delivering a single punch to a single brick, the brick wold easily shatter. he can deal about 175/600 to an average enemy by putting forth some good effort in his punch. Lifting, he can lift up to 75 pounds each arm, but bench about 180.

Vitality: He's not used to taking punches. A single punch of average strength would cause him to take a step back, but not too big of a deal. But he might bruise quite easily. He does however had a very high tolerance for pain, so although it may hurt him quite a bit, he will have no problem continuing.

Magically, his defense is slightly higher. He can take quite a few average strength magic blows and keep going. In some cases, he will even walk right through them, depending on the spell.

Speed: After a nice build up, he can run just about 19 miles an hour. It only takes him about 2 seconds to achieve this speed. However, his sprint speed is just about 25 miles an hour.

Stamina: At a jog, he could go on for about 40 minutes before stopping, but in an all out run, he could go for nearly 32 minutes. A sprint would last a mere 1 minutes, so it doesn't give him a particularly large speed advantage.

Reflexes: He has had a lot of experience, so his reflexes to attacks is very fast, and to parry attacks is second nature to him, but he hardly ever dodges, so when dodging, he might be slightly delayed.

Weapon: He can use any weapon he chooses, but his signature style and preferred choice is to carry two identical swords. Both swords are double edged 48 inch long white blades with black handles, both handles are 3 hands sizes. He has no sheaths, instead when walking casually, he has his swords tucked through his belt. He never has seen a need for a sheath, he likes to show he has a real weapon. The guards on the swords are plated with gold, but they are actually made from pure iron, unlike the rest of the steel blade. They weigh just about 32 pounds each.

Abilities: Being a human and dragoon hybrid, the moon influences his changes at nightly hours. The different moons all change the effect on his transformations. During the waxing moon, the transformations are less cruel. Every single thing that transforms on him causes severe pain, usually causing him to scream, however in the waxing moon, it is not so bad and he can contain his shouts. After a lifetime of pain every night, you get used to it.

In the waning moon, more potent draconian changes occur. This also causes great pain for him, but once again, he can deal with it just fine without needing to shout, but he tries to be alone because he tends to thrash about and grunt from such pain. Now his hearing is enhanced even more than it already is from his other abilities (see below). His reflexes have also sped up very slightly. But unfortunately he now has a lack of self-control, so he has to try not to start things for the sake of himself and the people around him.

In the state of change that occurs in the new moon, he will definitely scream from pain. So much as every scale causes pain in his body, so the pain, even after 32 years, is ridiculously potent. Now he has enough strength to take down a brick wall with a single punch, and his attack speed was increased so greatly that he seems to be moving in a blur. Unfortunately he has also lost all mental awareness and has absolutely no consciousness during this change, and as a result will most likely kill, or wander off, causing him to awake in potentially nasty situations. His scales in this form are harder than metal, and can stop almost any blade. His stance is also so sturdy, to knock him off his feet seems like an impossible feat. (Pun intended) Using his wings, he can fly at the same speed he runs, but in this form, his running speed is over 30 MPH and he can run for about 45 minutes like this.

Sound manipulation:
Mystro can create sound at his will. Making small volumes of sound have no effect on his energy, such as making his voice. He actually has no voice. In fact, he lost his voice when he was stabbed in his throat, but he was lucky enough to live (see history) but now he just uses his special ability to create sound to mimic his voice. He can do several things to sound, and each one will be listed as a seperate ability.

Vibrations. Sound comes from vibrations. This can make him shake some things that are not well held up apart, but this usually cannot cause buildings to collapse. This would only really be effective in making sand castles fall apart to be honest. But the other factor to this is that he can make his swords "sing" by making them vibrate. This could make a stab or cut much more lethal. Doing this at a hearable volume for 20 minutes would make him feel out of breath, as if he had just gone on a one mile jog, but he can keep going.

Volume enhancement. He can take an already made soundwave and make it louder and bigger. Example an electric guitar not being plugged into an amp can have it's volume enhanced for a concert worthy level by his power. This only drains a small bit less than creating the vibrations. This includes his voice, so he can literally scream out a whisper.

Sound touch. He can stop a soundwave with his hand, effectively stopping it before even hitting him. The sound dies shortly after he stops it. He can also send a soundwave back where it came from by striking it with his body, not his blades. Both of those cause impact on his hand that could potentially break his fingers, and there is no way to stop it, nor is there a way to know if it will happen. However, this next part of this ability drains energy instead of harming him. He can grab onto a soundwave of a volume great enough and ride it as far as he desires. each ride costs the same amount of energy, and in the daytime, he can only use this 4 times before being fully drained. However, during the waxing moon he can use this 6 times, in the waning moon, 8 times, and on the new moon, 15 times.

Soundwaves. He can make them without needing a solid or any material to vibrate, only something to carry it. He can make this any volume he chooses and he can also make the soundwave from any point around him. He has to look at the point that will be the center of the wave and then, it fires when he wants, so long as he is looking at it. But where he looks only matters for direction, he can choose the depth he chooses the soundwave, but he can only do this if it is within a 25 foot radius. One soundwave of volume enough to fuel an outdoor concert would only be able to be created at maximum 3 times in every form. This is because not only does it take energy, but it also takes a toll on his body. These soundwaves, he cannot catch or touch, so they strike him as well, but probably not as bad as the initial target. This also takes a toll on his hearing.

Sound Demon. His power is suddenly enhanced. Now he can make only single body parts ride any volume soundwaves, usually making light soundwaves from his hands to make it as though he is punching at incredible speeds, or even cutting. This lasts just about 60 seconds, plus or minus, depending on his mindset, in every form, other than the new moon. In the new moon it lasts about 90 seconds. However, this is not without a horrible price. After using this, he can no longer make any soundwaves, not even his voice. he also cannot hear. This lasts for 3 hours after using this. Luckily, he has learned to read lips very clearly.

Magic: None

Other skills: He can read lips.

Dragon tongue: Mystro can speak to and understand dragons

History: Born eldest in a family of 4 kids, he always had to do the babysitting. But he didn't hate it, he simply did as he was told. He was knowledgeable enough to take care of his younger brother and sisters. But he decided to get out of the house as soon as possible, and so he did at 18. He got a little place of his own and stayed there for quite sometime. Swordplay came natural to him, but he began to practice with other weapons for fun. He always has hated the idea of tyranny, and he hated it when people would bring social status into an argument. Just because you have doesn't mean anything. He began to start a lot of fights with the higher up classes. This included the rich and popular. Of course, he was on the same level as them at combat, and that got his neck stabbed once. He was lucky that it was just a short blade that only cut as deep as his vocal chords. That then made him lose his voice, but proper medical attention saved his life.

2 years later, when he was 21, he could finally speak again because he had discovered his powers. But at the same time, the age of 21 turns the full production of his dragoon side, and on his 21st birthday, his dragoon half showed. His lost sanity made him kill a few innocent people on accident, and he was dubbed a criminal by the law. As a result, he did his time. He was set to be a mercenary and do the military's bidding for 10 years, where he perfected his fighting style and combat skills. Now his name is usually well-known in some areas, but only by his title. He was set free at 31 and now he lives on his own, in an area that he cannot kill any innocent people. In the middle of the forest. For a year now, he has done this.

Starting point? A few miles south of the midpoint of Hag's point and Threepwood

Name: Arian

Alignment: Loyal Neutral

Class: Shoulder pet

Gender: Male

Age: 12

Appearance: Arian is a small golden dragon that is about 43 inches long with four legs. It essentially looks like a snake with legs, since it has no wings. It's eyes are a sapphire blue color. All of it's feet have 3 toes.

Personality: This pet is rather loyal and always stays around Mystro. They tend to have conversations, and to Arian, Mystro is the only thing needed to worry about. When startled, this small dragon will run within the many layers of Mystros upper half. If separated, Arian will get very angry and/or jumpy, but not often will they get separated.

First Impression: Usually, it's an adorable little dragon pet. It's obedience to Mystro alone has been known to make others rather curious.

Statistics: This pet is not a battle pet, just a mere personal pet and will not be used in battle, so unless asked, this section will remain empty. We'll just say it isn't strong, it has little to no defense, but it is agile and slightly fast given it's small weight.

History: To be left out unless asked to edit.

I'm going to make a second Character. A Half Orc. He's big and tough and loves cute things. :)
I'll get the bio done soon.

Err, so how about the changes I made? Also, I really wanted to use Arukab for this, but in order to adapt him to this RP world, I'd have to change so many things :hmmm: I think I'll just keep him out of this. Though I may take on a second character...I'll have to think about which one I take on though.

Yes, now he's very good. He's officially accepted. :3

---

Now as for you, Gavin...

First off, why, oh why have you no pity upon my already bad eyesight? D: please, for the love of all that you hold dear...a bit bigger font. My eyes hurt from trying to read all that in small font.

Now as for the bio... Well... uh...

How do I put this?

I hate to break it like this, but this guy isn't just broken, he's kind of crossing into the territory of un-fixable Mary Sue. ...Not to mention he's sorta cribbing my character's thing with the blood control. >_> I'm not angry about that though, since Ryan's methods are all about absurdity and disturbing applications and you can use things differently, it's just...

...The guy's spread all over the place. When you said broken I thought you meant he just had too many abilities within one area. You're making him a runecaster and a hemomancer and back from the dead and he has runes for just about everything... It's a bit too much.

We have a lot of work to do before he can be accepted, I'm afraid.

I'll have to ask you to make up your mind about what this character is good at. Is he a fighter, a spellcaster, a healer? It just won't work logistically to have him be able to do everything. Besides, if he's great at all that from the get-go, what's he gonna develop?

He's got too many runes--having one for each situation is really game-breaking. I WANT people to get stumped and needing to rely on party members for help. Starting with a small set of runes makes more sense, and he can find more along the way. He's got to be a little de-powered. Probably a bit de-aged as well so that he has room to gain experience. As he is now he sounds more like a guy at the very end of a really long quest already.

Look at the rest of the characters: how's he gonna fit with people who haven't done and lived through as much as him? I need you to understand that this RP will be all about teamwork and group dynamics. Your character has to be a team player, not a soloer. Otherwise it's going to be very unbalanced and most of the time you'll either have nothing to do, or you'll have the urge to make the character dominate a scene and take charge just because he's older and has done more. I'm not saying a character won't be allowed to take charge if he's got a plan or a know-how to a certain situation but we want people to feel like their characters have equal chances. Yours is just throwing the scale of balance out the window. This isn't the kind of RP where you'll be alone against the world; you have a party with you and one of the main goals of the RP is to have characters get to work together and work through the issues of group dynamics.

He'd be great for any other RP but in this case he's a liability for breaking the whole thing. We're not going for grand scale epic adventures with a long complex story where we need to save the world. This is going to be 70% comedy and 30% adventuring with little purpose (and maybe some repeated world saving on the side). I'm willing to let the 'infected with demon blood' thing slide since I never said part-fiends can only come to be through naughty demon sex, but a lot of other things have to change or go completely.

One thing that bugs me right off the hook is the 'back from the dead' thing and the implication that it's divine intervention--not to mention the fact you're stating he's got a sliver of a god's power. I'm sorry, I have to insist that you kill that part with fire. I don't want to involve religion or gods very much in this RP. Gods in Angria will be distant things that don't really stick their noses directly into the world, because I want the characters to be guided by nothing more than their mood, the tide and a random order of mishaps that will occur to them every so often.

Having Soren connected with a god implies that he's being guided by one and that's kind of clashing with our goals.

Hemomancer’s Craft: The blood that flows within Soren is his and his alone to control. Infused with his own sorcery, divine promise and demonic taint, it can never be turned against him. To a lesser extent, he can control other’s blood.
As I said the divine thing HAS to go, but I also have issue with the controlling other people's blood. This is a tremendously game-breaking power and it's likable you'll abuse if it doesn't have a very, very serious handicap to it. My character for instance, while he can do the same, needs to have his infernal powers at a maximum and he can't always do that--and even then it comes at the cost of much of his reason and an awful lot of his stamina. If your character can just do it without thinking about it, it's just ridiculous. Nothing would stop you from just killing off people and things left right and center by giving them embolisms of sucking their blood out. It'd kill a lot of situations where we want the characters to WORK towards victory, not just casually take it.

Infernal Regen: The demonic taint within him regenerates his blood and flesh as a rate far quicker than any normal person’s..
I hope this regeneration is within reasonable amounts. I don't want him popping back into a fight when he's been taken out of action within the next minute. I never force people to back out of a battle unless there's a plot related reason and if he can get up and go back into a fight I don't want him in...we have a problem. Besides, you stated that he's less than 40% demon and that means he doesn't get to enjoy the full boons of demonic regeneration and as long as I'm GM, no part-fiend with a ratio less than 60-40 demon-somethingelse will. I allow regen, but within reason.

Divine Rebirth: Until his divine charge has been completed, Soren will be reborn every time he dies. It can take anywhere from one hour to one week. He will come back the same as before except he will have a new scar on his body from the killing blow.
This especially makes me want to reach through the screen and sock you one. This is blatant god-mode and therefore a big no-no. Another big rule we'll enforce is that once you die, you'll STAY dead, to make people think more about their actions and work hard to stay alive. Resurrections and the like will be more rare than an honest politician.
Divine Conspiracy: Once per day, Soren is able to use his status as a true Runecaster to change the fate of someone in sight. However, what he changes it to has to be logical. An enemy can’t be struck by lightning on a clear sunny day. However if it’s raining… If he does not use this, it does not compound; one per day, that’s it.
Changing people's fates, no matter how logical, is God moding and if you try that in this RP I will come after you with a boot meant for your rear end as the fasted way out of this endeavor D: Please get rid of this.
Omnilingual: His divine gift allows him to understand whatever is heard and is able to make whatever he says able to be understood by anyone. However, it is unconscious and as such he cannot apply it.

The same goes for omniligualism. You're taking away from me my desire to insert a lot of comedy by linguistic barriers! You're MEAN! ...not really, but you're still taking away from me other venues for character development and plot ideas. There'll be no divine gifts.

Rune Cast: Whenever he casts the runes to see portents of the future, Soren can interpret them how he desires and the world will reflect that. However the runes are vague and as such, his changes are also vague.
Oooooh, no he doesn't. He can predict the future all he wants, but whether it actually happens is the call of the GMs. If you want something to change, you take it through us. If anything, I'll have fun making sure what he predicts never happens, for comedy. :D

Magic:
Blood control and manipulation: A combination of demonic and magical ability, Soren can do just about anything that can be done with water but with blood. However, it turns out to be far more deadly than water. This is because of the pathogens that the blood can pick up while it acts under Soren’s command. If you don’t die by his assault, you die by disease.

Typically though, this sort of magic takes the form of him hurling bloodbolts. Those are magically charged orbs of blood that strike incredibly hard. There are far many more ways to use it but this is the most common way. Like water though, it can conduct electricity.

I can be convinced to allow this if you explain how hard a toll it takes on Soren--and it HAS to take some toll on him. Or I'll cut youuuu--not really, but I'll be a sad panda. Messing with blood can be overpowered and it can be abused.

Those are just the major points. You HAVE to clean up this bio before I'll accept it. I'll trust you enough to understand that some things just have to go and some other things just need to have more weaknesses and disadvantages to using them.

Character Bio Template - FINISHED

Name: Charles

Alias:
Big Guy or Ugly are usually the things Charles is called. He doesn't quite understand what it means though and isn't offended by it.

Alignment:
Good. He looks bad, but he means well.

Class: Warrior

Race:
Half-Orc (25% Human - 75% Orc)

Gender:
Male

Age:
43, quite old for an Orc.

Appearance:

orc.jpg
Hair: Charles's hair is grey in colour and quite thin and wispy. It starts quite far back on his head and falls back to his shoulder blades.
Eyes:
Small, round and pig-like. Charles eyes are not pretty in the slightest. His eyelashes are clumpy and small and his eyes are the colour of dirt.
Skin Tone:
Greenish tinged grey is the colour of his skin. It's quite smooth for an Orc, perhaps one of the human features he'd received from his mother but is also very thick, almost like an armour.
Height: 7 foot 4 Inches. (He is Enormous)
Weight: 130 Kg of pure muscle.
Build:
Charles is muscular in every way. His chest and shoulder area is gigantic compared to his lower half though. He is tall and shadows over almost everyone around him and is too heavy to lift. Once he broke his leg and needed a custom built crane to move him.
Clothing Style:
Rags and other unflattering items of clothing is usually what Charles is found wearing when in a casual mood. He'll not wear a shirt most of the time, just some tattered cotton pants and large dirty boots.
Armour: When in battle Charles will wear armour similar to THIS. It's not really protective rather, he wears it because it looks good, scary and intimidating.
Accessories:
He doesn't carry anything with him other than two pouches on his belt. One which he uses to carry supplies and the other which he uses to carry his Pet Bunny named... Bunny.
Other: Charles has a large scar spanning from his upper chest to his stomach and a smaller one on the right side of his upper lip. He also has pointed ears and dirty pointed teeth. He really is just an ugly guy.
Personality:
Charles is quiet and calm for an Orc. He often sits by himself staring into space or maybe staring at a butterfly. He doesn't really enter into conversations as he is uneducated and can hardly speak a word of English. He will take hits from enemies and will only fight back if his life is in danger.

Although he looks big and mean (and disgusting) Charles is actually quite affectionate and will take care of his allies and friends. Often stepping in front of them and using his thick leathery skin as a shield if he thinks they are in danger.

He understands that he doesn't really fit in and knows that he is unliked and yet he continues to help fellow humans and elves. He'd been exiled from his Orc family group for some time and is quite lonely. Being around others is enough to satisfy that feeling though, he's happy if they'll accept him and allow him to be within a few metres of where they're sitting.

Charles loves animals. He has a pet bunny he called Bunny (for lack of a better known English word) which he carries around with him at all times. He spends time feeding and grooming Bunny and considers it his best friend. The rabbit doesn't really seem to know what's going on however. He will rescue any animals in danger and if he sees anyone harming them he will kill them without question.

Once provoked and in battle Charles temperament changes completely, he is vile and feral, spitting at his enemy and staring them down with his little pig eyes. He will tear their limbs off if he gets the chance and will probably eat the left overs for supper. He's a tough enemy and is quite smart in battle.

First Impression:
Because of his looks people often shrink away and fear him. It's hard for him to get anyone to trust him with his limited knowledge of the English language. Often he is attacked without warning by large groups of warriors trying to take down the aggressive Half-Orc or he will be pointed at and laughed at by people who realise he isn't going to hurt them.

Statistics:
Strength:
Charles is Very, Very strong. He can lift twice his body weight without struggle and can throw enormous boulders with ease. Taking down smaller enemies with one hit is simple and often just punching them is enough to shatter their skull.

Vitality:
Defence is another one of Charles strong points. It takes a lot for physical attacks to take him down because of his thick skin. He is a little weaker to magic however.

Speed:
Slow. Charles is slow. He is big and bulky and heavy and his short legs are unable to carry him very fast. He relies on allowing the enemy to get close to him so he can use his strength to take them out in one hit. If they run, he usually has no hope of catching them.

Stamina:
Stamina is not a strong point of Charles either. He tires quickly as his internal organs have to work twice as hard to keep him active. This usually isn't a problem though as most of his attacks are strong enough to rid him of his enemies quite fast.

Reflexes:
Although slow, his reflexes are surprisingly good. He is strategic in battle and is often thinking about where the next attack is coming from. He can catch a swinging sword before it hits him and can duck attacks quite easily.

Fighting Style
:

Vicious, brutal and deadly is how Charles fighting style would be described. He's all about getting things over quickly, often opting for crushing an enemies skull with his hands or slicing them in half with his huge Axe. Sometimes for fun he will even tear their limbs from their bodies but that's only if they've really pissed him off. Otherwise Charles wouldn't fight at all. Unfortunately everyone wants to have a go at defeating him.

If he really doesn't want to fight though he will often stand there, taking hits until the enemy grows tired, then he'll probably bonk them over the head with his fist and knock them out cold.

Weapons:
A LARGE AXE is what Charles carries around with him. He feels it suits him well as it is big and clunky just like he is. It's heavy and a normal person probably wouldn't be able to hold it but it feels just right in his thick Orc hands.

He also uses his fists in battle a lot, they're just as deadly if he decides to crush your bones but are also good for just damaging and not killing.

Mount:

Charles horse named....HORSE is a black beauty. It's Fur is shiny and well maintained and it's mane is thick and long. Horse's body is thick and well built which is what Charles needs to carry his own bulky frame. Unfortunately because Charles is so heavy, Horse is unable to run very far or fast.

Horse has a bland personality. He doesn't do much other than eat, sleep, poop and carry Charles from place to place. He isn't particularly loyal and really is just an ordinary horse.

Abilities:

Battle Cry:
When enraged Charles will let out a mighty cry boosting his speed and stamina for five minutes.

Magic:
Charles is unable to use magic.

Other Skills:

Heavy Lifting:
His speciality is lifting huge objects...ok... it's not really anything amazing but sometimes it comes in handy right?

Heightened sense of smell:
Charles can smell things from a mile away. Be it a special herb or a camp fire in the distance.

Tracking:
He can track animals and enemies. He gained this skill while living alone in the mountains hunting for food and protecting his land.

History:
Charles was born in the Ogre Peak mountains. His mother Meerc was half Orc and his father Gorud, full. His mother had always wanted to be a real human and live like they did but his father had his duties as the leader of their Family Group. His mother named him Charles, in hopes that it would help him grow up normal, but unfortunately it didn't help at all.

As he grew older, he grew uglier and scarier. He took his mothers traits of kindness and affection but his fathers sense of leadership and strength. Soon he would need to take over as leader of their group.

Unfortunately Charles found himself more interested in cute little bugs and fuzzy creatures which angered his father who found him playing with a little squirrel in the forest one afternoon. "This is not what a future warrior is meant to be doing" His father grunted at him in Orcish. But Charles who was 18 at the time didn't want to be a warrior. Gorud brought his sword down, striking Charles, who tried to dodge, across the face. It wasn't a large wound but it made the boy bleed.

Charles then snapped, he attacked his father with rage, punching him, scratching and crushing him in his large fists. His father tried to defend himself managing to swing his sword cutting his boy down his chest to his stomach, he went to swing again, to deliver the finishing blow but Charles grabbed hold of his sword, tearing it from his hands and ended up using it to cut his dad down. He'd just killed his father. A few Orc's from his family saw, they stood gasping but eventually cheered. Killing the leader wasn't anything unusual around these parts and now Charles would take his fathers place.

He lead the group for 15 years and beat any challenger he'd faced but grew tired of this life.

One day an Orc larger than himself appeared to challenge him. Charles accepted and faked his defeat. Unfortunately if you are not killed in battle for leadership you must be banished from the group, and banished he was, never permitted to show his face again.

Charles now finds himself living in the Volven Mountains near Morris with his Bunny and Horse. He built a home out of rocks and sticks and mud and lives a peaceful yet lonely life, longing for interaction with others.

He is now 43 and is still unfulfilled, he travels to Morris in hopes of finding contracted work as a body guard or a fruit stall salesman or... anything really.

Starting Location:
Volven Mountains.

Companion Bio:

Name: Bunny

Age: 5 years old

Race: Feral Rabbit

Description:
A dirty off white with red beady eyes. The left ear is flopped while the other points straight up.

Personality:
Quite easily scared yet adorable. Bunny is really just a rabbit. It doesn't do much other than sit there and look freaked out.

History:
Bunny was found and captured by Charles one afternoon while it was eating a bush next to his custom built rock house.

"You, Mine. Called Bunny!" said Charles to the rabbit who had little say in whether or not it wanted to belong to this random Orc.

Now Bunny lives a comfortable life in a hutch next to the bush it was found in and when travelling it sits in a pouch on Charles belt. Not really an ideal life for a feral rabbit, but it works.

'Orcish' Aphabet:
I created an Orc Alphabet for when Charles speaks in his own language.
Pink letters are the English Alphabet and the green is The 'Orcish' Alphabet.

A(I), B(P), C(S), D(M), E(A), F(Y), G(Q), H(B), I(U), J(D), K(V), L(F), M(R), N(W), O(E), P(X), Q(C), R(T), S(G), T(Z), U(O), V(N), W(K), X(L), Y(H), Z(J)

When writing in Orcish I will type like this:

"Bakke, rh wira ug Charles. Qek me heo me? (Hello, my name is Charles. How do you do?)"
The Orc said with a smile.

I'll try not to have him talk in 'Orcish' too much but I think giving him his own language is fun (Plus he'll probably swear in his language), and any characters that know multiple languages ('Orcish' being one of them) can use my alphabet too if you want.

XDDD Oh Squid, this is AWESOME. I love this idea. You win the cake today from me, girl!

Lets see what we can come up with this time.

Thanks for understanding, hun. Let me know if you need help. I'll be more than happy to offer advice and the like.

On another note, we'll wait for Gavin and Dragon Mage to finish with their bios and we'll get this show on the road! So don't forget to apply and last minute polishes to your characters and read the bios of everyone else, so you know who you'll be hanging out with!

Soren is meant for a far more serious arr pee than this one.

Exactly...this RP...well let's just say that most notions of serious will get kicked the jaw fairly often.

If only stomach cramps weren't getting in the way. I hate waking up before noon.

D: Have you tried chamomile tea? It works wonders for my stomach troubles.

I was thinking of taking up a halfling and use an image of Yoko from TTGL as a stock, but I'm unsure. I only say this because we have no tech masters :sad3:

I mean this
ElvenAngel said:
Halflings are the short and nimble subterranean, technological masters of Angria. From their underground cities, these small, thin and large-eyed people create magnificent automatons and discover new elements and technologies using alchemy and science as well as magic. Halflings are small and thin, lacking in strength but boasting superior intellect and reasoning abilities and are very gifted in magic--traits they use to supplement their weaker physical attributes. Their intelligence and skills however makes most Halflings insufferably arrogant and snobbish.Halflings can live up to 500 years.

Well my character is already a tech Mage/ inventor. What's the difference between that and a tech master? (sorry if that's a dumb question)

I want to join. I mean, such a detailed rp with everything I love in rps - freedom, and lots and lots of comedy. The only thing that is halting me is the intimidation I'm getting from all of the great, and detailed temps/bios. Not sure I can live up to the expectations. :sad2:

The only magic he'll have goes into technology and not any sort of real battle magic. The difference is basically he'll be more strong on tech than magic.
