Summon Transformations!

It has already been announced that Shiva will have the ability to transform into a bike (thanks to the assistance of her sister summon). Does anyone have any ideas on if and what other summons may transform into. Perhaps they may have other features all together! Any suggestions?

Alexander may transform into a colossal, black, tank armed with holy cannons that emits holy light.

Bahamut may transform into a powerful airship that rains down immense beams from the sky.

Ifrit may transform into a flame variant of the motorbike (or perhaps a stylistic monster truck) with sprouting flame features.

In other words Alexander will pretty much remain as Alexander.
I get what you mean though, Ramuh being some sort of cannon/ heavy firearm would work in my book. Although Ifrit as a pogo stick would be awesome, leaving towering pillars of flame wherever it should bounce....

God, I so hope the summons don't combine. Power rangers references just make me ill to the stomach. And they're all suppose to help you in that "action" gameplay setting... so hopefully they're not all bikes and that kind of thing. And hopefully they're more futuristic things, if they've got to be anything at all. I just hope it doesn't turn out really lame.

I like Power Rangers. And their transportations transform. I really like the idea. It's something new, so...blah. I'm actually looking forward to it, lol. It's kinda funny how everyone's dreading it.

I think all Final Fantasy games are different enough from each other.

I'm playing Kingdom Hearts and a few others...but none has the summon transformations idea. So kinda I'm looking forward to this. If it sucks, then I'll probably laugh it off later, lol.

Haha, and yes, I agree that Final Fantasy is different enough from each other. I find some a little disappointing, I admit... but well, I learned not to really care anymore because it's still a FF title, and I love/respect what Square does for us FF fans, whether it brings many changes in the FF series or not. Because well, who can really say if the changes will or will not satisfy fans out there? The way I see it, there will always be people that will like and will not like the changes. Lol, hasn't it always been that way in the first place?

i think that summon transformations could be a good thing. but PLEASE dont let them all morph together - that would just be stupid.

but maybe only certain summons transfrom - into the transportation you need to go across the world map - that way its cool and we get our world map back XD woo!

As much as most of you don't want it to happen with the whole transforming concept it is bound to happen. The whole concept screams a huge, ultimate summon combine, transformation. To tell the truth I really think if they did do that I believe they would pull it off. I have this feeling most of us will end up regretting are doubts. Just a feeling.
Maybe they won't combine when transformed and will combine still in summon form, creating a part organic part machine summon that will look immense (square won't let us down).

Actually that's a cool thought. In a lot of other games, FFIX especially, you go through modes of transportation like crazy. It'd be nice to see your summons double as a means of transportation just for the "world map" type setting. Maybe they'll bring back chocobo as a summon and that'll be how you ride the summon. hah
