Helvetica Standard: Wind running through the hair
~~~~~~~~~~~~
The wind ripped through Helvetica's hair as the night sky flew past along with the cheers of crowd and the flash of cameras. The flim flam and distractions were completely blocked out as this was element. It wasn't until the initial adrenaline of being able to fly did she realise that video cameras trailed behind each pack of racers. It wasn't that surprising given that this is a massive money making event for the Satos. If there was no cameras, then the stand sitters were just going to be twiddling their thumbs after the racers went by. As her attention was directed at the floating contraptions, a familiar figure pulled up next to her and almost on instinct, Helvetica almost swung a full powered prosthetic at them.
"You're so fast! I can can barely keep up! I never thought I'd run into you again."
Oh! Hello! That was close. Almost clobbered you. Good to see ya. Never got your name anyway. Name's Helvetica. I know, an odd one. You?
Helvetica had the distinct advantage of this being her home court in a sense. This was her birthplace and she knew the streets and non-paths like the back of her hand. The curves and dips sent shivers down her spine as she leaned and powered through the bends. However, what got her pumped was the massive dip ahead. Never has she ever gone down this dip since it was too heavily patrolled and surveillanced by authority for her to go anywhere near fast enough to her liking. Now, there was no limit. Their current situation was couldn't be more suitable for her to go as fast as she want as right behind them, two large humanoid robots came rumbling down from behind. It swatted riders aside brutally and without remorse, leaving limp and lifeless corpses along the path.
Ok. We definitely cannot get caught by that. Use the dip and lets gain some distance.
As Helvetica dipped over, she let out a loud whoopee which echoed and bounced off the tunnel walls before launching herself into the air, letting gravity to increase her speed and distance before she landed smoothly along the incline of the road, avoiding a nasty thump and jarred knee and pushing her Sonic to its utter limit. Her old pair would have broken down by now, but this one was holding just fine
