~+Tales of FFF+~The Role Play

Zeria growled and went in front of Julius, glaring at Dark Fayte.

"Leave now! You aren't welcome if you're intentions are evil!"

Her left hand gripped the handle of her Punisher tightly, ready to draw in an instant.

"I warn you. If you lay one finger on Sir Julius, I will make you beg for death!"

Closing in on Julius' room he saw Zeria preparing to draw her blade and Julius behind her

FFGuy: something must be up....

FFGuy entered the room and saw a mysterious old man whom he did not know

FFGuy: what is going on here? are you the source of this dark omen!?

First looking at Zeria, then FFGuy, and then continued back to Julius.

"It would seem you have surrounded yourself with some loyal Friends Master Julius."

Bringing his gaze back to Zeria he continues.

"Do not worry Zeria my dear. I have no evil intent this fine evening. My Master has not given me permission to attack......yet."

After Dark Fayte finished his statement he began his sinister laugh again. Then with no warning ha stopped and lowered his gaze. As he did this a darkness began to emanate from his. This darkness had so much killing intent mixed in with it that you did not want to look away from him. For fear a quick death. The eye on his scythe began to glow a crimson red.

Everyone steeled themselves against the darkness ready for any attack. But as soon as it began Dark Fayte vanished only leaving the words.

"We shall meet again Master Julius.....my old friend."

Julius was quite upset because he couldn't ask anything to Dark Fayte. Still getting angry would not solve things, so he stood up, walked towards the fireplace., and stared at the fire. He then reached a green bottle and served himself some wine. While holding the glass containing the cold and sweet liquid, Julius asked both Zeria and FFGuy to leave him alone.

"I need some time to think. Please leave..."

FFGuy started to leave but then he remembered the omen

FFGuy: But... Julius! I have seen an omen! a dark cloud is forming over us, this can only mean something very dark is going to descend over us soon! we need to plan and prepare for this omen!

Julius sighed, he drank some wine and remained staring to the dancing flames in the fireplace. He knew that the "omen" could only mean Lucius' return, but his mind was too troubled to confirm that. Even if it were Lucius, they wouldn't be able to take him on without first finding a way inside Castle Oblivion. Julius sat on the armchair next to the fireplace, and reached a book that was laying on asmall wooden table next him. He opened the book and pretended to be reading, though he closed the book and sighed.

"FFGuy, speak. But please be brief, there are some issues that I must attend to."

If only Julius knew that soon he would discover a terrible murder that took place a few hours ago and that he couldn't do anything to prevent it. (Making reference to Loki's post)

FFGuy cleared his throat and began to speak:

FFGuy: Well, while meditating I was forcibly broken out of meditation by a dark cloud which had such evil intent surrounding it, it could only mean one thing, a very evil being is trying to enter this place!

Julius placed the glass of wine and the book he was reading on a small table next to him. He then stood up and turned to face FFGuy. The idea of having his nemesis, Lucious, so close and yet away from Julius' reach made him feel uneasy.

He directed his sight to the display cabinet in which the his father's armor, the armor worn by the ancestors of the Silverwing Clan, hung like a holy relic. Julius held his breath and then sighed, his worst fears were coming true.

"Does anyone else knows about this FFGuy?"

FFGuy: not yet, should I call all the officers in here, or should this be kept quiet to stop an unneeded panic?

"Keep it secret FFGuy. After all we don't know if this omen is related to Lucious' presence or if it someone else. We can assamble a unit in charge of investigating that as well as collecting info about rumors from nearby areas. Would you like to be in charge of it?"

Julius knew that there were a many probabilities of being Lucious behind that strange apparition, still he wanted to make sure of it. Julius walked towards FFGuy and gave him bag with some golden coins inside. He also handed him a letter with the Silverwing Insignia and some orders for the troops.

"This will grant you full control of the "Shadow" Unit. A special unit created for handle special situations with secrecy."

"By the way FFGuy, what is your real name? I know you are known as "FFGuy" but I doubt that is your true identity."

FFGuy: I am unsure, as you see from this transformation I can no longer bear my last true name, give me some time to think of a new name and I will inform you. Also, would it be wise for me to exit the castle, since Lucius is partly responsible for this he would surely be keeping track of me now, would it not be wise to consult someone less detectable to Lucius?

Zeria had left the room, as Julius had ordered, but she'd stayed outside the door. Using her keen sense of hearing, she was listening to every word of the conversation. She knew she shouldn't be eavsdropping like this, but she was worried. Something was horribly wrong.

"Damnit! What's going on here?!" she cursed under her breath. Then, she had an idea. She wanted to be able to see what was going on in the room.

"Pulvis et umbra sumus!"

She merged with the shadows, drifted into the room, and hid herself in a shadowed corner where none would be able to see her.

~{There. Now I can really find out what's going on!}~

"Very well FFGuy, I shall discuss this with my old friend Dark Fayte. Hmmm"

Julius turned his eyes to a dark corner in the left side of the room, believing that he saw something, though he quickly resumed his conversation with FFGuy.

"I am sorry FFGuy, but it seems that our conversation is no longer "private" and therefore it can't be continued. That is all, dimissed."

Julius smiled, knowing that even though he order Zeria to leave the surrounding areas of his room, he never heard her footsteps leaving the hallway. Julius reached one of the books that was placed among the others on the shelf. He opened the book, Ancient Lore, and began to read it while walking from left to right in front of the fireplace. Suddenly he closed the book, left it on the table next to the armchair, and headed towards the balcony. He opened the giant glass doors wide but then turned to look at the dark corner that once caught his attention.

"The futile to hide your presence any longer, show yourself Zeria."

Very well, I shall take my leave *bows* I shall stay awake in case of an early invasion, may good fortune light your way

FFGuy then turns and leaves the room and meditates in a corner of the ballroom

Zeria froze and slowly released from the shadows. Her guilt was clearly shown on her face.

"I'm sorry. I just..."

She sighed and bowed as low as she could to Julius.

"I just want to understand what's going on around here. Please forgive me. I shall take whatever punishment may come..."

FFGuy suddenly reached a state of perpetual peace and knew what must be done, to quickly speak with julius he set off at a low glide, almost knocking people over as he passed.

FFGuy: sorry about that!

FFGuy was nearing Julius' room when the door burst open and FFGuy was knocked back, with his reflexes he managed to avoid injury and put his back as firmly as he could to the wall (wings make it difficult)

FFGuy: whoa! what's the hurry?

Julius smiled gently and then grabbed Zeria's right hand. He then fell on his left knee and kissed the back of her hand. Finally he stood up and smiled once again.

"Oh Zeria....don't be sorry, I guess you just wanted to know and understand a bit more about what's happening. In time, you'll understand but not now, this night is special."

Julius reached one of the flowwers growing inside a silver pot, it was one of his favorite roses. He gave the flower to Zeria, bowed down and then left to the balcony.

"Ah Zeria, could you please lock the door when you leave? I would really appreciate it. Oh and also we will have our conversation tomorrow. Now get ready, the masquerade will start at 9:00 PM."

Julius left towards the balcony and shut the giant glass doors behind him, leaving Zeria alone in the room. After giving much thought to what FFGuy told him, Julius entertained himself by staring randomly to all his castle from the balcony. It was then, when he saw it. A body all bathed in blood was lying motionless in the middle of the garden. From such a great distance Julius couldn't possibly identify the soldiers, so he rushed back to the room hoping to find Zeria there.

"Zeria!! Zeria!!! Are you still there?!"

Zeria was gone. She'd already started off towards her room. Though something wasn't right. It was too quiet, especially since it would be close to the masquerade's start. She shivered and went into her room, pulling out her outfit and the mask to go with it.

"This is going to be a long night. I don't even know how to dance..."

She sighed and showered quickly, changing into her outfit and looking at herself in the full-length mirror.

"I don't look like myself...though, I think that this is the first time I've ever worn something like this"

She twirled around and sighed again, finishing up the last touches of her outfit and makeup, before walking out to her balcony and looking out into the sky.

"Damn it, she's not here. It seems I'll have to deal with this problem myself."

Julius went to his wardrobe and change to his white tuxedo, the one that he was going to wear for the masquerade. He took one rose and placed on the pocket that he had on the left side of his jacket, near his heart. Then he grabbed his rapier, left the room without forgetting to lock the door with his master key, and rushed towards the garden.

After a while, Zeria sighed and got up.

"It's too quiet and I'm really stressed. I need to go relax somewhere nice before this all starts. But where to go..."

She looked around the grounds from her small balcony and spotted the garden. It looked like a decent place to rest. Zeria was still worried about the silence though, so she strapped two hidden daggers to her leg, hidden by her dress. She made her way outside and began the walk to the garden.

"It's so quiet. It's just not right. Why isn't everyone bustling about? Everyone should be practically panicking about the masquerade!"

She sighed again and reached the edge of the garden.

"Well, I guess not everyone is someone who can't dance..."
