~+Tales of FFF+~The Role Play

FFGuy: If you leave now you will be branded an enemy, you will never be able to return, you will be considered a tyrant and a monster! all humans will hate you if you side with the darkness now! now I beg of you, for the last time, come with me.

Zeria disappears with the man

FFGuy: the next time we meet Zeria, my blade will not hesitate to strike you down, enemy of the humans and enemy of me.....

Zeria felt bad about doing this, but Lord Samael was right. They didn't need her. They left her out of everything.

"My lord, where are you taking me? You said you were going to save me, but how?"

Zeria was unsure of her decision. FFGuy had seemed upset. Maybe they all did need her...no. They never had use for her. She was just there...

After Zeria had completely disappeared FFGuy left the air and flew back to the ball and called out for an announcement

FFGuy: Ladies and Gentleman, I have some grave news to share with you all..... Lady Zeria has betrayed us for the Dark forces of Lucius.

The two rushed from the Masquerade party, holding tight to their dresses as they abused the heels of their expensive footwear. Despite the pain that wracked their poor feet, they managed to cover enough ground at a fairly steady pace. Their sense of urgency fueled their persistence.

Vegnya stayed on her sister's tail, yelling through her silver-coated porcelain mask. "Faith, will you please hold on? Come back here!" She gripped the hems of her long dark silver dress, holding it higher than necessary to hide the exposed skin of the v-neck design. White and chrome bangles jingled around her arms in pursuit.

"You're too slow!" Faith jeered, only a few steps ahead of her sister. The black haired girl wore a dress with a similar design to Vegnya's. The only exception was the not-so-modest exaggeration of the v-neck feature, giving Faith a more revealing outfit that exposes just below the waist. The dress was colored black, indicating her magical profession.

"Just where do you think you're heading?!"

"To Lady Shenorai's room!"

As the elegantly-dressed bounty hunter continued down the hall, she thought she heard a pair of feet running down the hall. The echo of heels upon marble became closer...and closer...did someone forget something?

Not thinking anything of it, Shen just turned the corner, towards the ballroom. Just as she turned, though, she found herself sprawled onto the ground with two women on top of her, also dressed for the ball. Shenorai's mask had been knocked off and was several feet away from her reach.

"What the hell?! Get OFF!"

Shen made an effort to push the two ladies off of her.

All right, Shen? the ghost inquired.
I think so...
Let's hope so. And make sure that mask didn't get bent.
I will as soon as these two get off!

Lord Samael looked deep withen Zeria's eyes and said "Home M'lady.....Home."

As he said those words they emerged from the shadows in the entry way of a castle that looked alot like Castle Silverwing.

"Lady Zeria if you would please come with me."

He then escourted her deeper withen the castle. Looking over at her he smiled and said "Zeria I would like to introduce you to someone."

As he said that they entered into the main room of the castle. They stopped in the middle of the room. The room seemed to swallow any light that dared entered. Then he continued.

"May I introduce.......Master Lucius." As he bowed slowly.

Zeria's skin felt cold as ice. She'd always despised Lucious for what he'd done to Julius. Anger raged in her, yet she dared not to try and fight in her current condition. She knew that she was not in good health. She only glared at him.

"Lucious..."

Julius remained motionless, he didn't knew what to feel after witnessing what it appeared to be, Zeria's and Dark Fayte's betrayal. He was confused, the apparition of this mysterious man didn't help either. Now he was questioning himself. What if what Lucius told him was true? What if all the friendship, loyalty, and honor he believed in were nothing but illusions? What if his true side belonged to Lucius'?

Julius lowered his sword, his eyes fixed on the mysterious man (loki).

"I don't have intention to fight you, I think we can speak as civilized beings."

Then he turned to Zeria and Dark Fayte.

"As for you too, perhaps my brother was right....leave if that is what you want Zeria. I have no right to hold you back. FFGuy, leave them. It seems that she has already chosen her side"

Julius gentle behavior became colder and calmed. Even though he wanted to ask Zeria why she was leaving, and why she was betraying him, he didn't do it because he didn't wanted to show any sign of weakness.

"Invite please." A young man in a tuxe asked Danny as he walkde towards the entrance. Silverwing Manor, it was... big. "hey I asked for your ticket... Hey kid should you even be here? The cold steel of his Twin Guns against both his thighs was tantalizing. His blade hidden behind the back of his tux and his Longshot hidden in his trouser leg. One could movement and he could be changed into his better clothing. He produced the invite, fake of course who on earth would invite a mercenary to a party. The man looked over the invite then nodded. Danny walked in. His brown eyes slightly covered his greyish blue eyes. He was handsome and strong for his age. If he was right today he would find out who killed his parents. Danny was 15 and an experienced Mercenary
He walked into the main hall

A concussion was well on its way, but the accomplished white mage had a tendency to instant-heal herself in such painful situations. In this case, the massive collision called for three consecutive Cure spells. Vegnya was surprised that none of the other ladies complained about hallucinations, which were actually manifestations of her magic.

In a frenzy, Faith stumbled as she took Shenorai by the hand and pulled, helping Lord Argexis' honored guest to her feet. "Lady Shenorai! Are-are-are y-you alright?!" Like a guilty child who broke her toy, the black mage made several attempts to 'fix' the beautiful guest to make things look better. "I'm so sorry! I didn't see you."

"Our deepest apologies, Lady Shenorai," Vegnya said warmly, renewing hers and Faith's admission of fault. She carefully bent her knees, lowering herself enough to pick up the mask that the guest wore before the crash. With a steady hand, the mage dusted the feathered accessory and then held it out like a prized trophy to Shenorai.

Faith stubbornly snatched the mask from her sister's hands, "Give me that! It's not clean enough."

"Just give it to her," Vegnya goaded, now tending to Shenorai's decorative costume. "There appears to be no signs of major damage to your clothes, Lady Shenorai. But if you expect reimbursement for this, just let me know, and I shall write up a bond in a moment's notice."

"Here, here!" The black mage shoved the mask it into Shenorai's hands. "Now come with us! We're late for the Masquerade! If we're lucky, we can still make it for the first org--I mean, dance!" Without warning, three-member parade charged down the halls of the castle. Pity the one who stands in their way. For at least two minutes, any path that directly connected to the garden was considered holy ground. All who stood on them would be trampled by stiletto heels.

"I guess we should leave this conversation for some other time. Meet me in my room after the masquerade. There are a lot of things that we must discuss. Farewell"

Julius sheathed his rapier and turned his back on Hejaloki, leaving the garden and heading towards the manor. He went through the main hall and saw how the preparations for the masquerade were done, and that even some of the guests have started to arrive. Julius offered a handshake to some of the gentlemen he talked to, and tenderly kissed the hands of the ladies he greeted.

Even though he was feeling as if his soul were torn apart, Julius did not allow this to be shown in his behavior, nor let it be reflected on his face. To everyone, he was the gentle, young host of the party held in one of the finest of places; the Silverwing Manor.

"Ladies and gentlemen, good evening. On behalf of all my family, well those who are still alive"

Everyone started to laugh in response to Julius weak joke.

"Anyway, I am honored to have all of you as my guests of honor. The musicians will arrive soon. In the meantime, enjoy the party."

Julius smiled and then went upstairs. After crossing the second floor hall he arrived to his room and went inside to look for a small pearled white mask that covered his eyes, only showing his green irises. After that he went outside, locked the door with a key and then proceeded to go downstairs.

"I wonder if Hejaloki will come to our meeting. There are many things that I want to ask him."

Julius walked around greeting the guests that continued arriving, smiling as usual. He was questioning himself many things inside his mind. He still couldn't believe that Zeria was now with his brother, Lucious. The deep grudge that he experienced was so great, that it threatened to plunge into depths of hatred, grief and sorrow. The weight of guilt was too much for him to bear alone and now that Zeria was gone, there was no one who could save his soul from being tainted by darkness.

Shenorai halted herself before entering the ballroom, taking the time to straighten up her dress and make sure her feathers were just right.

"You two go on ahead," she called to the sisters. "I'll catch up in a bit."

She backed up a little bit and found the nearest reflective surface - the polished shield of a likewise polished full suit of armor. With only a few brief tugs on her gown and an adjustment of her mask, she stood back and realized...this was probably the first time in a long time that she was this picky about how she looked in public. Though there was a shadow behind her in the reflection, she payed it no mind.

Lookin' good, Shen.
You think so, Leondra?

Of course I do. How long has it been since you last wore a dress?
Oh, I don't know...seven, eight years?
Eh, either way...let's see if we can find Julius. Sounds like he just finished his little speech.

Shenorai gave the ghost a nod and walked out into the crowd. What a turnout! She couldn't even guess how many people had attended. By now, she had lost track of Faith and Vegnya. Of course, with those two, who knows who they were flirting with?

Of course, with so many people in costumes and masks, it made her a little nervous. She couldn't entirely tell who was who. Anyone who knew her could pick her out due to her violet eyes...but everyone else?

Shenorai felt rather lost in the crowd.

While attending his guests, Julius noticed Shenorai seemingly lost among the crowd.

"Well excuse me, there's someone I want to talk to. Please enjoy. Sir, madame."

Julius walked among guests, maids and soldiers, all enjoying such a magnificent night. After greeting some people and eluding those he could, Julius finally could reach Shenorai. The impression of seeing her so different impressed him greatly, after all how many times do we get a chance to see Shenorai wearing a dress and not looking like though a mercenary?

"Oh well, well, well. What do we have here? You look so different mon amie. Even with that mask I still recognize you..."

Julius welcomed Shenorai with a gentle smile and bowing as if she were the host of this masquerade and not him. Just a few moments ago, the musicians have arrived and the announcer was communicating everyone that the first dance would begin.

"Would you honor me?"

Julius extended his right hand and placed his left behind his back. He bowed and awaited Shenorai's answer. Who knows, maybe Shenorai could dance as good as she fights.

"Very well" Loki was angered at that Julius turned his back on him. So Loki disappeared in a flash teleporting to the room where he was going to meet Julius. Loki took a seat and patiently waited for Julius.

Then Loki remember of when he turned his back the mortals which happened many of thousand years ago...

=A Couple Thousand Years Ago=

Two figures are fighting in the sky. One in full plate armor with a shield and sword of light. The other a beast in black armor with a hellish two hand sword.

"Hejaloki this battle will go on forever, You cant beat me." Says the demon. The he charges forward and swings his sword at the other figure.

Hejaloki blocks the attack his shield getting flung towards earth. He stops and says, "Who says I have to beat you, I will make sure you will never reign again."

Hejaloki thought of an all out attack but it make him fall into darkness. Yet it must be done to save the world. With that Hejaloki charges towards the demon and at the same time his sword grew brighter and brighter. Then he thrusted his blade through the demon.

"Feel the power of love." Hejaloki said. The demon screamed in pain and the two started pummeling towards the earth.

The demon started to laugh. "You would ... sacrifice your...self for the moooorrrrtals"

Hejaloki says, "If I .......must."

Then the two hit the ground and explode in a mass explosion.

=Present time=

...Then Loki remember what the presence of the demon felt like. He felt it again but couldn't pen point it. Then a flood of emotions from what he heard from everyone said and the memories of past times was too much.

Loki stood up his eyes glowing white and he was shaking violently. He manged to open the door to the balcony. He couldn't stop his shaking. Then he fell over the side of the balcony, yet a orb of white light remained on the balcony...

(Name change from castle Oblivion to Fortress of Darkness)
Meanwhile in the Fortress of Darkness...

Lucius was sitting on his throne greeting his newest allies; nothing more and nothing less than Zeria Iiyasei and Dark Fayte, Julius long time friends. Having them as allies has proven something, that Julius was already losing the battle. On his throne he remained, ominously waiting for moment to strike. His eyes were cold, much like Julius eyes were now, though his were more empty and filled with an overwhelming madness.

"Oh mysterious goddess of fate. How cruelly you toy with human lives. Yesterday's enemies are the allies of today. Zeria Iiyasei, and Dark Fayte."

Lucius laughed evilly as he resumed his small speech.

"How come you've betrayed the one you love the most?"

"W-well, I-"
Shen, remember, I'll take care of the dancing.
"...of course, Lord Julius," she replied with a smile.

After a bit of an awkward curtsy, Shen's bare hand slipped into his, gripping it gently. The bounty hunter could feel a chilling presence step into her from behind. The ancient soul that accompanied her took control of the girl's body, entwining her soul with the bounty hunter's once more.

As Shenorai seemed to move on her own, her posture took up that of one who has known the unspoken rules and laws of regal society. The lightest of her steps were taken with utmost grace. Although the bounty hunter had no clue how to dance, the royal spirit within her could very well challenge a few of the dancers in the room until they were driven into a frenzy.

"Shall we then?" 'Lady' Shenorai asked the gentleman before her.

(I've never made a dance rp so....here's my first shot...)
"Of course my lady. Oh and please how many times did I tell you to call me just by my name. Being called Lord by half of the guests is quite tiresome. Anyway..."

Julius grabbed Shenorai's hand and placed his left hand on her waist, and so the music began. While dancing, Julius started a conversation with Shenorai.

"How long has it been since the first day we meet? I still remember the strong bounty hunter that saved my life in more than one occasion."

They lights all around them perfectly fit with the scenario. It was as if the fairies have blessed the night with a temporal peace, making them forget all grief, all pain was lost during that single moment. Julius never took his sight from Shenorai's eyes. All of them were having a wonderful and almost magical night.

The warmth of Julius' hand could be felt through the smooth fabric of Shenorai's dress. Almost expertly, her right hand had gently placed itself upon his left shoulder, keeping her own squared. Her violet eyes stared into the pools of green before her. The eyes were the windows into the soul...her eyes displayed a fierce fire encircling sorrow, yet contentment has veiled it all in a light haze. The sorrow faded with the light's intensity, as though forgetting her woes.

"And how many times have I told you to just call me Shenorai?" she teased, her sweet smile only given to her friends.

Her feet clad with short-heeled soles swept briskly across the floor beneath her. She raised herself onto her toes for only moments at a time, following the beat like a metronome. Her shoulders were held steadily, seemingly unaffected by the movement occurring from her hips down. Although...who was leading here? It seemed like the ghost was getting a little carried away.

"I'm afraid I haven't kept track of the length of our friendship. Certainly feels like it's been a long while."

"And how many times have I told you to just call me Shenorai?" she teased, her sweet smile only given to her friends."

Julius laughed innocently after hearing that, it seems that Shenorai caught him in a dead end. He was getting quite nervous though he didn't show it, after all not everyday you dance with someone like Shenorai.

"Hey, that's not fair. Oh well..."

"I'm afraid I haven't kept track of the length of our friendship. Certainly feels like it's been a long while."

Julius smiled again. The lights were turned off leaving the ballroom clearly illuminated by the moon. The glimmering lights surrounded Julius and Shenorai, as if they were dancing alongside them.

"It seems that I am not the only one here with bad memory. I still remember when you gave my brother a royal beating. Now that was funny."

Julius laughed numerous times while speaking, it seemed that he was really enjoying this night. He could feel Shenorai's warm body, her violet eyes burned with passion and strength. Not only she was a brave warrior, but a great friend and rival as well. Their relationship was much more like an innocent rivalry; always wanting to prove who was better without letting it become a poisonous competition.

"It seems that I am not the only one here with bad memory. I still remember when you gave my brother a royal beating. Now that was funny."
A chuckle escaped the bounty hunter's lips.
"...you were watching?" she asked, her voice faltered and almost hushed against the music. "...I thought you were unconscious, then. I was worried about you..."

As her body continued to dance to the music, her mind had wandered off somewhere. As though leaving Leondra to do with what she will, Shenorai had plunged herself into her subconsciousness. In the vault that was her memory, she was pouring through the images in her mind.

Though it was not Julius that she was thinking of, but his twin brother.

She could remember clearly how; despite the fact that her sword had pierced through his lung, the phantom of Lucius had moved closer to her, invading her personal space and pulling her into an embrace as though departing with a loved one. Before then, she hadn't allowed anyone outside of family to take her into their arms in such a way...yet what was she feeling then? She hadn't felt anything like it before. Her heart was pounding in her chest, her face was warm and flushed, her very breath was slow, yet shallow...

....n....hen....Shen? Hellooo, are you with us?
H-huh? What?
You're blushing...are you all right?

Shen could feel her heart leap into her throat as she realized that she was, indeed, turning scarlet. Before she could realize what Julius was speaking of or what his own green eyes was trying to tell her, the naturally violet gems upon the rosy complexion had retreated down to the necklace he was wearing. Leondra still carried on the dance, though grateful that the music had simmered down in tempo enough to just allow the both of them to rock slowly. It would give Shen enough time to recompose herself, at least.
