Leondra gasped as she saw Lucious, her wings spread out to make her appear bigger. However, it just seemed to give the vortex more to drag towards the orb.
Damn you, Lucious! What have you done with Shenorai~!
Her cries and curses were muffled and soon silenced as the ghost was drawn into the orb. No matter how much she struggled, she could not escape Lucius's grasp. There was a slight glimmer from the very depths of the sphere, giving it more of a violet hue.
-~Meanwhile~-
At long last, Shenorai's eyes cracked open slowly. Her body felt utterly drained and incredibly sore. She was disoriented thanks to her unfocused eyes, but after a minute of simply blinking and concentrating on the ceiling above her, her vision soon cleared up. With some effort, Shen managed to push herself up into a sitting position. With a groan, she held her heavy, pounding head in her left hand.
"Ugh...where am I?" she asked meekly.
Shen's mind was a blur. The unfamiliar room was spinning around her. She racked her mind, trying to remember where she last was.
"...last I remember, I was... fighting undead... and..."
What little blood she had drained from her face. That earthen chamber and the priests flashed in her mind. Shenorai violently shook her head in disbelief.
"N-no, that can't be right. Leondra, what was I doing?"
Silence engulfed her.
"...Leondra?" Shen called again hesitantly, slowly looking around the room for any sign of the ghost. However, there wasn't a soul to be found.
Her heart plummeted. "...then she's...really gone..."
