Anime The best anime there is?

The animation is a big part of anime for me. ^.^
I know, looks shouldn't reeeally matter. But...I like good animation and voice overs. Youtube is very handy for my anime research. ^.^

i'd say the drawing counts for me
people would be really encourage to watch an anime if the drawing looks nice
ain't it true?1 and the title should be attracting too ahha

but if all that i said is in the anime but the story is poor...
then suck it with a sock@!

I hate to say it, but when I'm picking anime's out to watch, I ALWAYS pick the one with the nicest name and the prettiest cover. XD

that was so freakin true too!

if i become a manga artist i think I should work on with that hehehe

I would have to say Neon Genesis Evangelion as well, it was an awesome series in my opinion. The movies were a little weird, but I liked it a lot. I bought the boxed set last year and I enjoyed watching every moment of it. I also liked Card Captor Sakura when I was younger, I would have loved to have seen the Japanese version. I saw a bit on YouTube though and thought it was a lot better than the english dub. Dragon Ball Z is good as well, I haven't watched it in ages though.

Here's a list of some that I would recommend:
Fushigi Yuggi
Fruits Basket
Ranma 1/2
Chobits
3x3 Eyes
Crest of the Stars
Those Who Hunt Elves
Golden Boy
Lain
Fooly Cooly
Ai Yori Aoshi
Love Hina
Negima!

hehe yay I got School Rumble DVD!!!!
(adds school rumble to best anime ever list)

Bleach
Card Captor Sakura
Chobits
DNAngel
Eureka 7
Inu Yasha
Kashimashi
Love Hina
Ouran Highschool Host Club
School Rumble

Wolf's Rain is a GREAT anime. I love it. It is probably one of the saddest animes i have ever seen though. I have never cried during a TV show before, but the last like 8 episodes of Wolf's Rain had my crying hysterically

Well, I'll say a little about those I've seen.

Fushigi Yugi
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fushigi_Yugi
I've read the manga, and have seen the first 13 episodes. While I prefer the manga, the anima is well worth watching. The story's wonderful, and not too long. It's one of my all-time favourites. There's humour as well as moments that make one want to cry. Haha. The characters are all convincing, too. Some are sweet, some are irritating, some you want to hit over the head... But they all come together and make something incredible.

Saikano
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Saikano
Other than Chise's whiny voice, this is well worth watching. An anime about love, war and battling with one's self (sorta). It's only 13 episodes long, but the story has a good pace and there are the right amount of characters for you to learn enough about them, and love them.

Gunslinger Girl
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gunslinger_Girl
There's a lot of fighting in this anime, but many lovable characters two. Each character has 1 or 2 episodes that focus on their story, so you learn about each as you progress through the 13 episodes, before they all come together as the main focusses at the end.

Haibane Renmei
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Haibane_Renmei
The music in this anime is simply wonderful! While the story is less eventful than in the other animes, the characters somehow make up for it. They're all lovable and have unique, realistic personalities. The final episode, too, was wonderful in my opinion.

And if the series is anything like the movie, Cowboy Beebop must be splendid! Action packed, witty and, at times, deep.

i posted here that i liked DBZ, but i just wrapped up watching the fullmetal alchemist series and it definitely beats out DBZ. it was just so good, it was the best anime, and TV show period ive seen so far.

OH LALZ there are some bad answers.

For me though it would have to be either Paprika, Zetsubou Sensei, The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya, or Gits Sac.

We rather enjoyed Fullmetal Alchemist, and even today it is our favorite anime. :D

On topic: The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya really impressed me, it's a really good anime and the only thing that is not awesome is (are?) the Endless Eight. (see List of TMoHS season 2 episodes on Wikipedia) Seriously, it really pissed me off :mokken: but oh well, you can skip it. Well, the anime has everything, great characters and story, and is a really good anime overall. And the manga is really great as well. And they're going to release a movie too in February =P

Just a reminder that this is a post count section and that posts that only consist of, e.g:

'I like Naruto. I thought it was the best.'

They will be deleted without notice. Please put more effort into your posts as this is a post count section and anyone can easily elaborate on why they think a certain anime is the best.

Thank you.

In my opinion, best anime is bleach, the mangas that come out every week are short. Its very intresting in the soul society arc,the arrancar arc is good but kubo puts fillers in the middle of the war.

These questions are always so difficult for me to answer but if I had to pick one I'd say Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann. To me, it has everything an all-time great Anime needs: a truly EPIC (with a big, bold, capital "E") storyline that keeps building 'n' building into something greater than you could expect; a compelling, endearing cast of characters; INCREDIBLE action and great animation; humor, drama, tragedy, some fanservice, and a dynamic, passionate vision that has a message both simple and profound.

It truly does "pierce the Heavens." :D
