Dude, I have better things to do with my time than be jealous of a video game character. And the fact that she's more popular than Aeris doesn't apply here since I'm a Yuffie fan, and she's probably the least popular character in the game.

Some of us just really don't like her character. She was way too clingy for my taste.

Actually there is much more hate for Aeris. At anime cons people tend to be ass holes to people that cosplay her. Tifa is actually a very popular character from the game.

Why should we Aeris fan / tifa haters be jealous? after all its not like all the "high rating" tifa gets is from her personality - more than often her physical attributes are mentioned as a reason - if not the sole reason.

Aerith is way better looking than Tifa - after all tifa has the equivelent of two bowling balls stuck down her shirt which not only make her look super deformed and as a martial artist i cant imagine the pain that tifa must be in.

And at least Aeris doesnt have to dress like a slut for people to notice her beauty - half of the tifa fanboys ive seen like her "Becoz Er Jugs are HUGE!!! *drool*" Quoted from many sites.

And sure Tifa may be rated higher than Aerith - but again shes another character far too over rated - and half her hype is from the hormone crazed fanboys - but by Her fans Tifa is said to be - Strong and independent.

Strong? Hitting for 900 at level 99 thats a Big no-no IMO

Independent? Ha dont make me laugh! as rydia said shes annoyingly clingly - when cloud is hospitilized shes like - I MUST BE WITH CLOUD!!! and she made cloud promise her that if he ever became a famous hero and she was ever in a bind he'd have to come and resque her.

Yes tifas independent all right *rolls eyes*


You know im not even going to apologize for my rant as this IS an Anti-tifa club and its about time we start getting back on topic.
 
No it's not cold in here. We're just sick of people acting like Tifa is some sort of goddess just because she has bit tits.
 
And it's fun to watch Tifa fans go from the maturity of a 20 year old, to that of a five year old when they find out that she's not everyone's favorite character.

As I said, you can hate Yuffie, You can hate Cait Sith, you can hate Aeris, you can even hate Cloud. But as soon as you hate Tifa you might as well have just confessed to murder.

For the most fun, wave a Clerith banner to watch all hell break loose.

And I'm a single!Cloud fan. Too bad Cluffie doesn't have the same reaction.

Look at the reasons why most of tifas fans like her : Its because of her boobs. id post quotes but its hard to find the best ones.

Plus there all the same.

Because there is nothing else to like about her.

Ok I'm just being mean now. She does have her martial arts. And I'll grudgingly admit, she was pretty cool in Junon.

I think they just over did it with her feelings towards Cloud and that's why she bothers me. I've always hated when a female character's sole purpose is to love one of the male characters.

Think I have to agree with that having to love the male character.

There is always a male and a female and they ALWAYS have to be "in love" it seems to be an un-written law.

I like Tifa, I mean there's rarely games when the main girl character is FIGHTING instead of using Magic, it seems to be common practice to make all most mages female.
 
That's why VI is an awesome game. While the woman do tend to be the mages, they also use weapons and have pretty good attacks.

I don't have a problem with woman black mages because usually magic does much more damage than physical attacks. But I do think that white mages need a good attack. I mean they gave Rosa arrows in IV which at times did more damage than my main character. Well, if they are summoners, I'll let it slide since summons do a lot of damage.

Well back on topic, I guess you can see from my reasoning why I'm a Yuffie fan.

Also, she's waaaay too clingy to Cloud. Good god woman, leave the poor man alone already. If he wanted to be with you, he would have gotten with you a long time ago.

Oh yeah, and did I mention I'm fucking sick of her rabid fans and the rabid CloTi's? They're another reason for making me turn against Tifa. They make her out to be something she's not as well.

well i never really liked wither tifa or aerith, but ive not been into character bashing either, however i must say the tifa was a fairly underdeveloped character and that yes most of her fans are just plain... blunt? idk i couldnt find a good word for that, but aerith was a ok character, not my favorite but better than tifa, come to think of it there really were no charaters in FF7 that i liked, aside from Buhamut, if he counts :P. ive always tried to retain nutrality when it comes to the characters of an FF but in this case i find it hard to like tifa, the only thing she ever did for me was hit for alot, but then, thats what cloud was for, no? and he was by far the best physical attacker, tifa never even came close, and her magic sucked, so there was not much use for her in battle. But the story of 7 was really good even tho it had underdeveloped characters, i still find 8 and 10 to be more to my favoritism, but i seem to be going off topic so i think ill leave now lol

I found this brilliant rendition of the whole Cloud and Tifa having sex under the Highwind and it makes perfect sense to me. I'm going to copy and paste it here because it's just wonderful.


Claim: Tifa and Cloud had sex during the Highwind scene, showing that Cloud is in love with her.
Proof: Tifa is embarrassed the next morning when she finds out people were on the Highwind. Other than that, none.
Situations like this make me wonder how rumors get started. First of all, how stupid people must be to even think Square would put sex into FFVII, a game that implies that emotions go beyond half assed words and actions. With a game this full of symbolism in this effect, why would Square suddenly dumb it down with a display of physical pleasure that has no meaning? It would render all other symbols of love, pain, friendship and longing useless, making the game have no sense.
So why do people think it happened? After a conversation between Cloud and Tifa, the time goes forward to sunrise. Cloud is sitting upright and Tifa is sleeping on his shoulder. She asks to stay like that a bit longer (since she'll never get that chance again). Then they go back to the Highwind only to find that everyone is there waiting for them and Tifa gets embarrassed while Cloud doesn't even pay attention.
Why do I know that there was no sex?
1. Cloud could care less about sex. He isn't ruled by his hormones and he stays focused on the most important things. Casual sex is LAST on his list of needs. And no, he didn't just want to screw Tifa all of a sudden, even after REJECTING her feelings towards him. She's a few years too late to be saying that and if I were Cloud, I would have reacted the same way while feeling a bit annoyed. After all his pain and rejection, being blamed for Tifa's fall in the Nibel mountains and just being ignored by her and her friends as a child, she finally sees how strong and handsome he has gotten and gets feelings for him? OMFGHOWROMANTIC.
Cloud was never in love with Tifa. To be in love with someone, you have to know them. Cloud looked at Tifa from a distance all of his childhood years, wanting to be part of her group and be popular and happy with them. It is confirmed later in the game that they barely even knew each other at all. Was Cloud in love? Hell no. And the scene at the well was Tifa's chance to hang onto the last boy in town.
2. Squaresoft made another game around the same time as Final Fantasy VII. It was called Xenogears, and to me, it's story and characters are on the same level as FFVII. Memorable and deep. I haven't played another game that has come even close to these two games.
While both having VERY different stories and themes, it is used as a reference for this stupid idea of a sex scene in FFVII. How? If Square wanted to stupidly imply Cloud and Tifa had sex, they would have done the same with what they did with Xenogears's Fei and Elly. Fei and Elly had a couple "morning after" scenes (not showing anything that happened during the night but giving plenty to give the idea of what they did do). Elly is shown naked under blankets and it is VERY obvious of what they did. Square also put in how meaningful they were to each other and how their destinies and love surpass even death, only to be created again through reincarnation. Square made them in love with each other. It was true love. They didn't decide to just have sex one night.
Square didn't put ANY of these elements into Cloud and Tifa's scene. They were both fully clothed the next morning and Cloud was sitting up on a rock with Tifa just resting her head on his shoulder. She even asks Cloud for more time in that position. Do you think if Tifa had Cloud all night long, she would want to stay in her "head resting on his shoulder" position for as long as possible? It was only because that's as close as they got and she wanted it to last. And what about the idea of having sex on a rock? The Highwind was right there. They could have gone into it for a more romantic and not to mention more comfortable atmosphere.
3. The Highwind scene has three different outcomes and Cloud does not return Tifa's feelings in any of them. Even in the highest affection scene, he only talks to her as a friend. And personally, I'd be grateful for that if I were Tifa. With how she treated him as a child, and how she even lied to him about his past. But since this the Highwind scene consists of three opinional scenes, this renders any "hard proof" useless. The important aspects of the game do not happen in optional scenes.
4. So why is Tifa embarrassed? To know the right answer, you have to pay attention to her character. Tifa hides her feelings from everyone and she is quite withdrawn from people. She isn't like Yuffie, who is outspoken and outgoing and she isn't like Aeris who is very optimistic. She hides herself from everyone and she makes sure of it.
During the Highwind scene, Tifa expresses her feelings and even comes as close as she possibly could to telling Cloud she loves him. He does not return these feelings and she hangs her head and cries. This in itself is something to be embarrassed about to anyone. And for Tifa, who tries so hard to hide her feelings, this would be especially embarrassing. That is why she makes a scene in front of everyone with Cloud standing aside indifferently. No sex. No nothing.
Another little point is that Tifa isn't the type of girl to just have sex. Her appearance may say otherwise, but under that is a shy, insecure woman who just wants someone to lean on.
Logic rules as king in the world of confusion.


sheer brilliance!!! She's just a clingy broad who wanted this moment with Cloud and he's expressed numerous times that he doesn't share those same feelings. Good GRIEF woman! Lay off of him already! Phew!

I think the thing that gives it away is that they are both sleeping upright and have their clothes on. I mean, who would sleep in that position after sex?

Say what you want about "rabid Cloti fans" but I think you'll find alot of Clerith fans are just as bad as they are.
