The Lifestream: A Final Fantasy VII Club

I'd like to join this club, too! FF7 is the measuring stick I use for the other Final Fantasy (even the older ones XD). Sure, it has its flaws, plotholes, and haters, but it is still the one that I most enjoy and it's definitely the most memorable. Other games, I just think back and analyze what I liked and didn't like. This one, I just says to myself "That was awesome..." lol. I even made a wallpaper for it a few weeks ago:

Thank you all for joining the club, I appreaciate it alot! So tell me, what made you guys become a member of The Lifestream? What made you join this club?

Well its a cool name to start with!

You could have called it Avalanche or Soldier or something like that but the lifestream effects all things FFVII and does not represent a particular group or agenda and effects everyone in the FFVII universe in life and death.

I had some other good points, but my computer screwed up and I forgot them!

FFVII is by far and away my Fave FF game, so why not join!

I'm trying my best to prevent this excellent club from closing. I'm not going to let it be closed after all the effort and hard work that I have put in it. I updated this thread a few days ago by adding some rules to keep this thread alive and safe. I just need to find a way to keep this thread active, but I haven't found the answer yet. I would appreciate it if you guys gave me some great ideas. Please feel free to post them any time. Anyway, what do you guys like about each of the Final Fantasy VII titles?

Oh! I didn't know a club like this existed! May I join please? :3

Doesnt People dying add strength to the life stream maybe a mass sacrifice would me in order huh?

I start building a Cocoon like Satellite right away.

What you think that would be bad Idea?

But we could be falcie.

Outside of the Original FFVII game I think CC adds the most to it the Title it cover the time of Zack and his being the precursor to the that would unfold in FFVII.

AC was just a great romp and gave a newer appeal to the old game buy giving the chracters a voice, literally.

DoC was not my favourite game, but it was fun......

Hey Spawn! over here!

I was just thinking about how FFVIII had monsters that leveled up with your party.
Do you think that FFVIII would have been more challenging across theboard with monsters that Grew as your party leveled instead of monster that are set at Levels for a designated area?

The things that I like about the compilation of Final Fantasy VII is that each of their story connects from one to the other as one, each of them revealing the missing pieces of the story of the events that weren't shown in Final Fantasy VII. Like for example: In Final Fantasy VII Crisis Core it explains the full story of Zack, which was mention in the original Final Fantasy VII game, but it never showed his whole story. In Dirge of Cerberus it explains the story of Vincent Valentine, like when he was working for Shinra as a Turk, the mystery event that happened in the Shinra Mansion and much more. It also explains the full story of Lucrecia and her relation with Vincent. Also it shows the story behind Hojo's experiments including the sephiroth's clones.

That is what I like the most about the Compilation of Final Fantasy VII. The revelation and the explanation of the missing pieces about the different events of the Final Fantasy VII story. That's all I can think of at the moment about the Compilation of Final Fantasy VII.

Definitely because the monster's stats will be higher than the normal, which they becomes stronger as you level up. Not only the monster's level will be increasing equally as your characters, but the bosses as well. So yeah it would've been a challenge if the monsters and the bosses would level up the same time as you. So tell me, what do you think of it? Do you think it would've been better if Final Fantasy VII had the same level system as Final Fantasy VIII?

On the fly Spawn, it looks like we may be enemies in the future, I cant join UBW:(

Was'nt that my Question?:hmmm:

Absolutely it would have been the better option, One of the things I like about FFVII is the combat it just flows nicely, and it would have been nice to put up against the best of monsters of FFVII.

Example, Take the Dark dragon in the northern cave it has from memory about 15,000 HP
its level is 50+ and is formidable at its set level, but its an end game monster and at full power it could pose a significant threat to party of any Level.

Almost like a mini boss.

Also take the Uknown monsters in the crashed Gelnika, and how powerful they are.......it makes no sense to sell your enemies short and leave the player feeling hollow in victory.

The Materia System is one of the more dynamic skill allocation system in any RPG!

Matched with the individual limit skills of the character they combine to create a great combination......yeah.....With out the annoying way skills are locked to character in FFIX
and the better selection of abilities than in FFVIII.

Materia allows for the changing of roles in combat, not during battle, and that not being stuck in roles allows for more of a personalised fighting dynamic. The experience for the level ups on some materia might be a bit to much but it just means more battles.

Ill post some more on this later when I can think........

I also found the Materia System very interesting because as I mention before, it let’s you do different kind of things like exchanging materias from one character to another, combine different materias for offensive and defensive use, etc. One of the greatest thing about this system is that the materias can produce itself once it reaches it‘s max level, which means that a new materia can be born from the same materia of the same name each time that it’s been mastered. The number of materias that can be produced depends on the number of times you master a materia, which is a good idea because you can equip them to different characters to create a well balanced strategy for each battle and that what makes this battle system one of the greatest battle system out there.

Now let's talk about the ATB (Active Time Based) battle system. What do you think about it?

We should rename this club the"never ending Spawn/Galaxyflare Interview".

Active.Time.Battle

Is it really though? sure you can tell the Fighters what to do and the enmy can take action repeately without having to wait, but do you actually get what you expect from the ATB.......on FFVII at least ?

This incarnation of the system did not actually offer anything new that I'm aware of....it may have been faster than FFVI but from what I understand the original FFVI did not have an ATB?

Is this really something we can discuss exclusive to FFVII Undead-One?(thats you Spawn)

Well I thougth that it would be a good idea to ask about what are their personal opinion about it, but I guess it wasn't a good idea to ask that. Sorry for the inconvinience! If you have any questions about Final Fantasy VII you can ask me at any time.
