Crisis Core the most disappointing thing about Crisis Core

I didn't mind having no Airship or a decent map, the thing that really grinded my gears was the massive amount of pointless missions that were vertually all the same taking place in locations you never explore in the plot. Surely they could have done something better with the missions, maybe put effort in to make them more individual. Other than that it is a cracking game and clearly the best and most worthwhile installment of the compilation.

Six, according to Lady Aerith, but I think it was five. Nontheless, the Highwind was present in Crisis Core, as well as the Rocket that Cid was supposed to pilot into space. Technology didn't like, not exist five years before FFVII.
Six is right. It starts at 6, then when Zack becomes 1st Class a few months pass, then after Angeal dies more time passes, then 4 years ellapeses inbetween Zack and Clouds capture by Hojo and their escape. Or something like that.

even though there was no airship and map to walk around, im pretty sure SE will remake FF7 with greater graphics than the original. I think it's good that there wasnt a an airship, because if there was, there had to be a reason why. and than if there is a reason why, the story will only be longer and more concerned on Zack. All around, the game was pretty short, but i like it how it flows with AC and DOC a little. Im pretty sure in the future, the PS3 version of FF7 will shock the world as it did in 1997. i hope SE puts more Zack into the future remake of FF7, because in the original FF7, Zack was barely known to Cloud.
A little bit sure of yourself eh? Maybe there won't even be one?...

yeah i agree with you on not having a map. sometimes i find myself in the same fucking place because some areas look the same. i would be running around in cricles for hours thinking "why is this friggin place so huge?" pressing the map button every shiting second doesnt help either. D:

on the airship thing, it would be nice but it doesnt bother me as much.[/end rant]

I was a little disappointed that there weren't all that many ZackxAerith scenes, since the ones we did see were so sweet! I really wanted them to flesh out the relationship just a little bit more.

I thought the ending was kinda rushed too, and I didn't like the repetitiveness of the missions >_>

The rest of the game was brilliant though ^^

I agree, if a good ff VII remake was made, square would make a whole bunch of $$$ $_$
I was disappointed at the slot system of Crisis Core. It's so random and you dont know when you'll level up!Or can't voluntarily summon! I mean...WHAT WERE THEY THINKING!!!
Just put Zack's face on the cover and everybody'll go nuts and buy it?! No world navigation, just a bunch of bs missions. I'm sorry square, but i'm disaapointed. This game in no way lived up to the original. but other than that it was okay i guess...

Doesn't It Bother You?? *"SPOILERS"*

that u can have most of the summons by the first 3:30 hours in the game???
that u have to play the missions even the stupid ones to unlock the good stuff???
the whole missions strategy and the way it turns out that its longer than the story???
the leveling system???
that you cant summon whenever you want???
how hard the missions that says "EASY" "NORMAL" in the hard mode???
that stupid giant bat that uses DEATH materia??? X)
that u didnt know the real name of cisseni???
that u didnt read the "88 Notes"???
that Angeal never used his sword to keep it clean , and then cloud got it all rusty and dirty ??? (Advent Children) X)
that the summon take WAYYYYYYYY to long to finish???
that the last boss was easy??? "at least for me" X)

btw im new here...and CC is my FAV VG of all time :)

Ah, since it's basically the same discussion, I'll merge your thread with another.

-Threads Merged-

And actually, it never bothered me that Angeal didn't use his sword. I can understand that since I'm also the same with a lot of my precious things.

oh np...i missed this thread :( my bad...
its not that he never used his sword....its that cloud didnt take care of the sword that held angeals and zacks dream and honor....thats what its about ;)

Oh, haha. I totally missed that part about Cloud getting it all dirty. Yeah it was a shame, I suppose, but never actually bothered me still.

Alot of people complained about the absence of a map which i struck as odd because i never found that problem.. I will pay attention more because im replaying now..

I would like to point out that insulting objective people isn't cool.

The missions were sort of a drag after a while, although i wouldn't call that a disappointment, just a thorn.

What i wanted to say was that this game like someone had already said, is an action rpg.. that it self makes it different than ff7. The only purpose the world map would serve is getting from place to place, there is no reason to go anywhere else when you only go where your bosses tell you to go. If you didn't notice, the only time Zack had was spent in midgar, so he had no free time to travel far before another assignment.

Most importantly if SE let's you visit every place again, your nostalgia wouldn't be as great when you see them in FF7:The Remake. :D

yea, no map was teh bad part... once you save at the fight before the final boss... there was nothing else to do except beat teh game and start aLL OVER..

Would have to be that it doesn't have a fucking map and airship. You'd think that with 2 more megabytes of space, Square could at least fit a map and a damn airship into Crisis Core, but no notrly. It pisses me off because I love Crisis Core so much, but just not being able to explore the world of FFVII bothers the fuck out of me. >=(

I really wish that SE would stop focusing so much on graphics, and putting more focus into what makes a game fun. As much as I liked Crisis Core, it really feels like the only thing that had any real effort put into it was the relationship between Aerith and Zack, the equipment system, and the OST. :\

you're damn right i tihnk it'll more than great with a world map like ffvii

Atm I'm annoyed because that game is too easy to complete at lvl 90.
I mean, in FFVII though everyone would be at lvl99, the final battle isn't so easy. x(
In CC, a way too easy.
Yeah, I know, I maybe shouldn't choose new game+ if I'm thinking like that but.. It's annoying. : D One disappointing thing.

Well, the most disappointing thing sure is that there's no world map, and there wasn't so many places from FFVII where to go. I wanted to see more D:
