May I request the Paladin? I am already in the process of writing my bio and it should be up in another hour or so after proof reading. I just wanted to reserve my spot and make sure I wasn't beaten to the punch >_<

Edit: My Bio is done, enjoy!

Name: Agmund Siegfried

Age: 24

Race: Human

Appearance:
Standing at about 5'9" with a powerful, toned build, Agmund has spiky dark-brown hair ending in a short ponytail and brown eyes. His face is always fixed in a pensive stare, giving him an uninviting and serious demeanor that betrays his protective personality.

His attire consists of a tight, black undershirt with the top half covered by a white sleeveless jacket and matching white jeans. He also wears a pair of black, fingerless gloves, shoes, a drape of white cloth hanging down beneath his buckle and a multitude of belts, including a lone one on his left forearm. He also has a waist scabbard for his long sword and another on his back for a heavier bastard sword.

Gender: Male

Personality: Stoic, taciturn, and modest, Agmund is the paragon of humility; always doing what he believes is right but never fond of taking the limelight for his actions. Selfless almost to a fault, Agmund is constantly ready to place his life on the line in order to ensure the safety of others, doing so instills within him a great sense of purpose that cannot be found elsewhere. He is also very fond of children, often taking time out of his days to play with them or to assist them with errands.

Though he prefers not to cause conflicts, whenever anyone insults his ideals he sheds his calm exterior and releases a passionate, opinionated Agmund that refuses to budge if he feels his morals are on the line. He is also a huge fan of music and often frequents musicians night clubs.

Weapons –

Agmund wields a jewel adorned long sword given to him as a present by a former friend. It is made of an extremely lightweight metal, has a stainless steel cross guard, and is finely sharpened on both ends, allowing him to deal slashing and thrusting strikes with agility, cutting power, and accuracy. The jewel is a family crest of the Escavalier family and it seems to hold a mysterious power.

He is also currently in the process of adopting a dual sword style in which he uses a heavier bastard sword made of reinforced iron that is capable of piercing chainmail and plate armor. This particular style sacrifices defense for the sake of enhanced offensive capability, thus he may opt to use a

Abilities: (Agmund gains more as the RP continues)

Sword Enchants – Agmund channels the power of the Escavalier crest and bestows his weapon with an ethereal elemental aura.

Divinity Within – Agmund channels the power of the Escavalier crest and creates a minor protective shield around his allies.

History –

The result of an unwanted child birth, Agmund was found crying on the doorstep of a local swordsman, Flynn Hallfred. With nothing but the clothes on his back, Flynn took the child into his home and began to raise him on his own.

Agmund was never told of his abandonment and lived a relatively comfortable childhood. When he reached the age of 8, Flynn decided that he would try and teach the child the way of the sword. Flynn was surprised that he took such an affinity to the weapon and the two often spent hours out in Flynn’s backyard, learning proper technique and sparring.

Over time, Flynn opened a school for the art of sword fighting and it became a big hit in their town. People began to shuffle in and out of the school but one person in particular stood in Agmund’s mind.

Wiegraf Escavalier.

When Agmund was 15 years old, Wiegraf entered the school and became a pupil. But something was different about him and it showed. He was a foreigner who had a very unique style of fighting; but he was a natural, and he and Agmund quickly became rivals, constantly forcing each other to get better. Even more fantastical were the tales he used to tell Agmund. He spoke of a legendary world named Asgard, where fantastical gods and their personal angels of death, the Valkyries and Einherjar.

Before he knew it, Wiegraf had completed his training and departed from the school, but not before leaving a parting gift for Agmund. The gift was his own personal family sword, with a note that read: “My time with you has been a pleasure Agmund, not only have you helped me grow as a swordsman, but also as a person. And for that, I’m giving this to you; I trust that you’ll take great care of it. – Einherjar Wiegraf”

Though the wording of the note confused Agmund, his resolve was stronger than ever and he decided that he would grow strong and protect those around him so that he would be as strong as the Valkyries he has heard about from his dear friend.

Weaknesses: Social injustice, can be intolerant of others opinions.

Character Theme: Daisuke Ishiwatari - Holy Orders (Be Just or Be Dead)

Battle Theme: Tsuyoshi Sekito - Sword Sparks

Approved. Just remember (though it's my fault for not clarifying this), this RP is set in modern day New York, at least to start with. While a vague description of the school you went to and met Wiegraf is good enough to not screw up the setting, I just thought I should let you know. Thanks for signing up. =D

And thanks to you too, Tipsy. I'll edit that into the first post (with full credit to you, obviously) when I'm feeling less derpy.

Looks like it worked well in my favor not to divulge entirely everything about his history! I'll edit my bio a bit more then to reduce any confusion.

Is it too late to join?

... I can't say so for sure, but it doesn't look like the role play's started yet.

If so, can I reserve the Thief and the Telepath?

And a question out of curiosity. Are you going to wait for all the roles to be filled before starting the role play? It is quite a number of roles there, so yeah.

By the way, it says in the first post that we're only allowed two characters per person, but is it possible that I claim a third - the Magician?

EDIT:

Below is the Thief bio, assuming it's not yet taken, or reserved. Considering the length, I think I'll put the Telepath bio in another post.

Thief Bio

Name
Serena (Rena)

Age

22

Race

American

Appearance

http://news.fashion.bg/img/benetton-shorts1.jpg

Tall and lithe in appearance, Serena, or simply called ‘Rena’, is physically well-adapted to her thieving ways. Unclear in this image is her muscular triceps built up over the years of having to escape from sticky situations by use of brute force.

Standing at a height of 1.79m, Rena has the general appearance of a model, with a generally attractive face, and the appropriate weight and bodyline. However, the way she walks is in no way womanly enough to suit the role - often dressed in jeans, or shorts, her gait is manlier than would be desirable.

Her hair is a deep, chestnut brown, and is chest-length. She has a strong, protruding nose – not significantly, however – and defined brows matched with eyes of cold, jet black. She also has a few scars on her right index finger inflicted by her weapon.

Her thieving ways are what ensures her a supply of clean clothing to wear – thus explaining her clothing.

Gender

Female

Personality

Years of dealing with the underworld have taught her to be less friendly to strangers, but that doesn’t mean she cannot be friendly. She is just guarded. Get past her guard, and you could potentially make a bosom friend of her.

That is the better picture painted only if one can get past her scrutiny.

Naturally suspicious and cautious to a fault, Rena isn’t the type to befriend easily. Granted, you could ‘befriend’ her on talking terms, but in truth, she is only keeping you close to watch you. On signs of betrayal, she will not hesitate to cut ties.

Having been a thief for quite a few years, Rena has lost the sense of justice and conscience when it came to justifying her theft. She now commits the crime regardless of the wealth of the victim, serving only her interests, and just as importantly, her family’s.

It is also important to note that she values her family above all else. All this, despite her useless and abusive father who squanders all her money away; she still loves him nonetheless, and more so for her younger siblings, and sickly mother.

Being the sole breadwinner of sorts, she has a matured level of thought, and this shines through her monetary decisions (Regarding her family).

Weapons

Butterfly Knife
http://img112.imageshack.us/img112/8889/bm42hi0.jpg

Yet another of her stolen goods; this knife was obtained when she broke into a shop. It happened to belong to the store owner who coincidentally left it there.

She later taught herself how to use it – though in the process she also earned herself a few scars on her index finger – and it soon became a weapon that followed her everywhere she went.

Abilities

Physical Powerhouse

Trained over the years out of pure need, Rena has developed a lasting stamina that can sustain a sprint for a good 7 minutes – well enough to escape her pursuers. Her punch packs enough power to throw an average-sized man off balance, and her kicks, if aimed properly, can daze the same person.

Parkour

Again a skill developed out of need, Rena is able to manoeuvre around a relatively cluttered urban landscape with ease. Assuming there is a highly cluttered and narrow alleyway; the average person may take about a minute to rush through it, but Rena could clock a timing of less than 45 seconds. (Just an illustration)

History

Born to a middle-class family comprising an average salary-man and a dedicated housewife, Rena initially enjoyed a good life. Her only-child status meant she was showered with much attention and love, and that saw her through until she was about 8, when her parents decided to have another child.

Thus came her brother, Ethan, and still, life was good. It was only about a year later when her father started to experience difficulties with his superiors. It ultimately ended with him being fired apparently for having argued with his boss. Angry, he immediately sought to look for another job, but in the increasingly competitive economy, he could not manage to get one.

Becoming increasingly despondent, he took it out on his wife and daughter.

Every night would be filled with the loud lashings of his belt, and the crying of daughter and wife and son. Thankfully, he managed to find a job, and for a period of time, things seemed like they were picking up. The couple – albeit foolishly – decided to have yet another child, and ended up having a pair of twins.

As soon as the children were born, the father lost his job again. Rena was promptly taken out of school to be home-schooled (she was 11 at the time), and her father reverted back to his abusive ways.

The finances were getting tighter, yet the despondent father only squandered off the money visiting pubs and drinking his money away. Forced to work, Rena’s mother got all sorts of part-time jobs to feed the family, but only ended up becoming sickly as the years went by.

By the time Rena was 14, her mother was so sick she could no longer work. In fact, she couldn’t even visit a hospital because the family were so poor. It didn’t help that her father was still the same old alcoholic, drinking day and night, and returning home only to demand money, and taking out his frustration on his children should he not have his way.

The girl, desperate to help, took to theft.

Her first theft was a relatively successful one. The owner was careless, leaving a wad of cash on the counter. She dashed in, swiped the cash, and made her way out. The owner could not catch the much more agile girl, and just gave up.

That incident inspired her to go on being that way, and slowly, theft became her way of life. While her father was still a hopeless alcoholic, she could pay him off, and also help ensure her siblings have enough for an education. (By stealing a few times a day)

She has not been caught by the police to date, closely encountering the law a mere 6 times over her criminal career.

Weaknesses

Her family; just holding them in one way or another would have her at your beck and call.

Nah. The whole two character limit is just from the C&P of the old sign up thread. I'd prefer (though won't force you) to not make more than three. Depending on the activity level and if more people join and fill out the roles remaining. I may encourage you guys to take extra roles.

Lux, your Thief is approved, and the Telepath and Magician reserved for you. Just remember that Gods will have very minimal impact at first and there are rules to keep balance between the worlds etc etc.

Sweet! Thanks. I'll get on to writing the bios for the other two characters. Probably will edit this post some time later to include the bios.

The Telepath Bio

Name
Estelle Lowelle

Age

16

Race

American

Appearance

Estelle have the makings of a classical Japanese beauty minus the Japanese descent with long black hair and bangs cut to cover her brows.

She is a relatively short girl, standing at a mere height of 1.59m. She is often dressed flamboyantly – most prominent of all being her onyx black sari, matched with a green and orange pelt worn over her right shoulder. She matches all these with a bright cyan sash hung over her shoulders, under the same pelt, and is almost always wearing her trademark greenish blue gloves.

Her face is generally well taken care of, with no clear signs of acne, pimple, or other facial problems.

Gender

Female

Personality

Quiet and taciturn; Estelle only expresses herself through the way she dresses, and her gestures. For reasons privy only to herself, she dislikes the idea of speaking, and usually avoids doing so unless absolutely necessary. Consequently, some people may actually think she is a mute.

She is also spoilt rotten by her family, never having encountered a single instance of hardship in her life. Everything was done and prepared for her; all she had to do was to simply request of it and it will come. In fact, her servants anticipate what she may want and prepare it before hand - should it not be necessary, they just remove it. (Wastefully so)

Weapons

Lowellian Scythe

This is the scythe that is marked in the emblem of the Lowelle family – which is a scythe diagonally planted over a buckler with an engraved lion’s head on it. Extremely heavy and unwieldy even in trained hands, this particular scythe is not meant to be a weapon of war.

The scythe is purely meant for ornamental purposes, and is therefore highly breakable. Nevertheless, Estelle does not use the scythe to parry attacks, preferring to use it solely for the purpose of offense.

It is usually seen 'slung' over her back. (Further explained in history)

Abilities

Telepathy

Estelle has the ability to communicate just using her mind alone. This ability also allows her to read the minds of others, and she often use this ability to hold ‘conversations’ to save her the trouble of having to speak verbally.

Telekinesis
It must be noted that this is highly developed telekinesis. Although it still involves no more than moving objects by the sheer force of will, Estelle has developed it over time such that it can lift the humanly impossible. Naturally, these come at a proportional cost. The greater the weight she lifts with her mind, the greater the strain on her mind.

History

Remember the saying about the rich? The one with ‘silver spoon’?

Use that here, and replace ‘silver’ with something more expensive, like platinum. That is how rich the Lowelle family is. The family have connections with both the legal businesses and the criminal underworld, hording their profits with such skill that ultimately saw their overall wealth soaring past the billions.

It was to this family that Estelle was born.

Being the only daughter, she was spoilt rotten. The family planned to marry her off when she came of age, but they quickly found out that she could read minds at about the age of 16 (At around the start of the role play), and they changed their minds. (Sounds like a bad pun) She became the living lie detector which they used to identify the good deals and the bad.

In exchange for her ‘services’, she could get whatever she wanted.

However, what she didn't actually know that it may mean little in the light of the Advent of the Pure Ones.

Weaknesses

She is terribly afraid of being poor, being dirty, and (amusingly) talking – the last being that she hasn’t spoke for so long that she now stammers so badly that it’s almost as if she didn’t have a tongue.

EDIT2:

Meh, I almost forgot to ask. How will the Gods start? I mean, do they begin like, in Asgard, or do they live amongst the humans?

Frau, when we are about to begin, ill repost the final list of character links, so lets wait till then to post it on front page. We'll do it in one go

One small problem, Lux. We aren't actually having you with your powers until the RP starts. You're gonna need to edit that in. XD

As for the Gods, they can either observe or take part, but please keep in mind that since the Gods will be out of their world, they'll be weakened significantly. Also, they'll be dying later on, herpderp. So don't get too attached.

And that's fine Tipsy. Thanks again.

Edited. I suppose I'll come up with the God Bio soon. Since there isn't much of a need for much participation, I suppose I can slack a little with regards to that character.

Will edit this post again some time soon. Minutes later, I suppose.
