On the grounds of taking the piss, aye?
Dave said:It's more the fact that infractions can be given out for silly things, the other night being one of them.
Dave said:Can't contest the other infractions, don't know what specific occasions they were given for but on the whole whenever there's controversy it's usually because someone doesn't like something they've said and end up being a pussy about it.
So what did he actually get that last infraction for?
I'm shooting for "getting a grip" reallyOn the grounds of fairness. That's what we're after with all this, yes?
Don't have a clue what happened with that so as I said I can't comment.See, people say that until they're on the receiving end, and want an infraction given. If, speaking of Black Butler as an example, one of us had told Kelly to "stop being a pussy" when he had his little Vietnamese rant about her or whatever it was, things would have gone from bad to worse. So just because your threshhold wasn't met, doesn't mean the infraction wasn't warranted.
Which were fuckin stupidIgnoring a Moderator's warning(s), actually.
Additionally, hindsight's a wonderful thing, and when you're no longer part of the staff enforcing the rules, you see how stupid some of the rules are, and how uptight some people can be about being offended. It ends up just being a punishment for something a moderator doesn't like, e.g. "posting big text and being condescending on the SB".
I've noticed no one has started a "Free Black Butler" campaign.
Tbf, he's a weirdo
And he called me a bad mother, the CHEEK!
cant remember what the vietnamese thingy was...
Will ask though, whose threshold does it have to meet? The acting moderator? No more qualified to decide a punishment than anyone else on the site. Not suggesting we have a full-on public debate for every mod action but I do think these opinions should be considered

So more moaning about it = bigger punishment...In many cases, if a member comes to us and says "this person is really bothering me," we'll take some sort of action, whether that results in an infraction or just a warning. So it's each member's personal threshold, with a dose of staff discretion thrown in the mix. In this case, that member happened to be staff.
Getting an infraction for ignoring a warning is fine, getting a warning for something that's not harmful or indeed against rules is stupid, so yes he was banned for something stupidRegardless, if a staff member asks you to do something, it's probably in your best interest to do what they ask. Especially if it's something as mind-numbingly simple as 'use regualr sized text.'
I find trivia more annoying than anything, I wonder if I asked it to stop it would be considered?
