If they could make a new villian for FF7 (Kadaj) they could make one for FF8

As long as they don't make Squall all depressed, i think it would be pretty good,
I don't think the storyline from FF8 was any better than FF7. Perhaps both of these two games are overrated, and only more so for FF7 because of the recent attention it's been getting.
But what I've seen so far is when you get a good game like FF7 and turn it into a movie, it can just turn into fanservice. If FF8 were made into a movie, it's vulnerable to the same problem.

umm... have you actually FINISHED FF8?
seriously, if you had you'd know this *spoiler* Seifer, Fujin and Raijin are seen fishing on Balamb City's pier before Balamb Garden flies over the town. This is all before you even see Squall in the ending movie.
do me a favour, and pay attention to every detail, before you say something like that. Please... I don't wanna be rude and all, but it annoys me to see that people aren't paying full attention to detail.

hmmmmmmm im stuck on this one yes it would be a nice thing to see but i dont liek the way a game turns into a film no offence to ff7 ac it was v.good but what i think that if an ending has not got an ending it should be ended with another game surely i like it where you control what happens so if a building blows up its either your fault or not

I think a proper RPG sequel for FFVII to finish off the compilation (unless they do the remake) would be absoluely perfect.
because lets face it, as good as AC was, it was just eye candy.
I would absolutely love to see Nanaki get more screen time aswell, which I'm convinced he would if they made a sequel or more likely a remake

a Final Fantasy VIII movie would be absolutely worthless imo.
The reason there was a movie for FFVII was because only a few parts of the storyline were actually rounded off at the end of the game, and there were loads of plotholes left open that they could go back and expand on.
With FFVIII, pretty much everything is worked out and there is nothing really that they could continue the story with without going over the top and ruining it.
As much as I would love to see a movie for FFVIII, I really hope they never stoop so low as to make one

If you mean a movie about the game I guess that would be alright but something that would take place after the movie would suck. There's really nothing to make a movie about. The game ended and the ending didn't really show anything that could branch off into a movie.
Except Rinoa's future considering she's a Sorceress, along with Edea they could possibly turn bad from some thing... But then there's also this (and i've brought this up, once before... but it wasn't really thought about) is the existence of the being that gave human women the Sorceress abilities, Hyne. Hyne was a superior being, that created the humans to use as his playtoys. Eventually, it backfired as the humans revolted against him, and he went into hiding, after giving certain women the power of the Sorceress.
So really, he could be used as the Villain, considering its possible he could have regained enough of his former glory to think he's strong enough to win back his true powers. I don't all that much about him, but I have a friend that know's heaps, so i can find out a bit more for you guys, since i'm learning even more.

I thought that the movie was a good thing because then it would open up more doors for final fantasy using the same characters insted of changing them around because the main characters for ffii are the best combination in my opinion and then doing dirge of cerberus as a continuation, but in the eyes af a different character besides cloud was an awsome idea but an even better game

OMG. I would be one of those crazy people that show up at the movie theater two days before the movie even started, dressed up as like Rinoa or Quistis or something and be camping out outside... Lol. That would be awesome to have a FF8 movie. I haven't seen Advent Children yet, though, is it any good??

Do you think that Square should make a FFVII Sequel?
I think they shouldn't because if they do, they're going to make it all gay and it will totally screw up what some people feel about FFVII. They’re just going to take a good game and screw it up, it probably won't have much to do with FFVII when it comes down to it unless it is just a remake...
That's exactly how I feel. Please no more sequels about FFVII Squanix. FFAC was entertaining but did not really left me satisfied other than seeing all the cool characters again. The last order filled in the blanks about Cloud and Zack in Nibelheim in cool animation form, DoC is going to take as back to Vincent’s past. Isn't that enough?
A remake on the other hand I would support. Some of the reasons why people don’t like to play FFVII is because of the out dated graphics. Normally I’d say if people can’t look past that and appreciate FFVII for what it is then that’s their loss. However a remake could obviously change all that. Maybe they could also add some new and refreshing stuff to FFVII.

Lol, I would want to dress like Quistis, but I'm not blonde, so people may be thrown off. I'd prolly go as Rinoa, in that case. 
I would rather them keep the story line, but I know that they'd have to cut out alot of parts to keep it from being like Lord of the Rings! Which, could possibly, disappoint me, because they might cut parts that I really like. But my vote is most definitely a yes.

I think a movie would be good, so long as it was nothing more than replication of the game. I really can't see that story continuing, although it was cinematic and full of action.
heres a couple possibilities for a movie...
1: Squall has disappeared, and the world is under threat of an even greater Sorceress than Ultimecia... Selphie, Quistis, Irvine, Seifer and Zell put their hopes to Rinoa, who knows where Squall is, but was told by him to tell no one of his location.
She goes to him in secret, and convinces him to help. They return and on the way, they fight the Sorceresses sub-ordinates, and reach her, fight and win, with Squall teamed with Seifer and Rinoa (or all characters)
2: The Great Hyne returns to the world, and starts destroying the large countries/cities with his unstoppable might. Squall, Zell, Quistis and Seifer are first to discover it, as far as Garden's are concerned, they spread word to Galbadia Garden, and get Irvine back with them, then head to Trabia Garden (Rebuilt) and Selphie rejoins them. Rinoa finds out, and goes to be with Squall.
They all stand up to Hyne, and Rinoa loses her Sorceress powers to Hyne. Then Edea's follow, along with any other remaining Sorceress. Then Hyne's back at his full strength, and Squall and the group discover a greater power with the GFs and their limit breaks.
They discover GF Fusion, and Uber Limit Breaks (only available when they are fused with a GF) and Squall startsoff by fusing with Bahamut.
And other characters follow. (Eg. something like- Rinoa/Siren, Irvine/Quezacotl, Zell/Ifrit, Selphie/undecided and Quistis/Shiva)
They're forms only change a bit (such as Squall growing horns, face becoming snout-like, wings and a tail and skin colour becomes a slightly lesser color of Bahamut's colour) and they fight and defeat Hyne, with Squall dealing the finishing blow.
