True Metal Fans

Hmm, well, I'm not much for nu metal, but Iron Maiden is an amazing band. They have so many great songs.

I whole-heartedly agree with you there, a few of my favorite songs are:

Fear of the Dark
Hallowed Be Thy name
The Wickerman
Mother Russia
No More Lies
Paschendale
The Trooper

There are others, but those are the ones off the top of my head.

The only other metal band that I think is notable is Metallica. Nothing Else Matters is a genius of a song.

I guess it depends on what you mean by "true metal". I'm a big fan of death metal and grindcore, and a little power metal.

I like some thrash and stoner rock/doom metal....like Slayer, Black Sabbath, Pentagram, those type bands...

power metal is my favorite,
as much as thier drummer sucks ass, Dragonforce has two of the greatest guitarists iv ever heard.
I love Rhapsody, they are my favorite power metal band, just something about the vocals draws me in, heh.
Blind guardian is an wesome band as well, not as technical but once again the vocals are great, and because thy are a German band sinigng in english, it adds something to it that other bands can't really duplicate.

Decapitated, Cannibal Corpse, Morbid Angel, Mortician, The Berzerker, stuff like that.

Morbid Angel! :monster::monster:

I love Metal almost as I love Pop music. When I listen to Heavy Metal, I get into an extreme mood, and just want to punch something 'till it dies!
Of course, I'd never do such a thing. I'd just play GTA.

Lets see....well I like industrial metal like Rammstein, Nine Inch Nails, Orgy, Rob Zombie and a few other bands. I also like alternative, epic metal, symphonic power metal and goth metal. I'm not a fan of death metal.

In my opinion, there is no one form of "true metal". Iron Maiden sounds more like hardrock to me. Not that it's bad music, hells no.

I'm quite a metal fan myself, ranging from progressive metal (Dream Theater, Pagan's Mind, Kamelot, Threshold), doom metal (My Dying Bride, Swallow The Sun), industrial metal (Rammstein, Nine Inch Nails), gothic/symphonic metal (Within Temptation, After Forever, Epica, Lacuna Coil, Nightwish) to power/epic metal (Sonata Arctica, Rhapsody of Fire, Blind Guardian, Helloween), alternative metal (Tool, A Perfect Circle, Deadsoul Tribe, Tiamat, Therion), heavy metal (Metallica, Black Sabbath), metalcore (Bullet For My Valentine, recent Dir en Grey), black metal (Orphanage, Dimmu Borgir, Crradle of Filth) and nu-metal (Korn, Evanescence, Linkin Park, Deftones, Papa Roach, Forcefeed)

...and many more bands. I'm not fond of death or thrash metal, however.

Dimmu Borgir is THE BEST band ever! But I also like Dissection, Dragonlord, Emperor, and Katatonia, just off the top o'my head. I don't know what I'd do without metal. Probly just paint my room pink and whine like a little girl.

Lol...I'd rather have a pink room with metal, thank you.^_^
And Katatonia = <3
