Peacekeeper - Fleetwood Mac

I normally don't like songs where Lindsey Buckingham sings lead, but this one works, mainly because he and Stevie do a lot of harmonizing in the song, and it works so well. I love the chorus, it's so catchy and the "ah ah ah ah ah ah" part is particularly brilliant. I much prefer it when Fleetwood Mac try less experimentation and just craft pop/rock, they do it better than almost anyone.

Kevin Rudolf - Let It Rock

The best song ever! I love the beat and the lyrics are awesome! Not to mention the film clip is just plain sexy. <3

He has such an awesome voice and nearly all of his songs are just plain genius.

I really like trippy slash rock music and this is what I feel when I listen to him. <3

Enrique Iglesias - Can You Hear Me

This was the Euro 2008 anthem, good choice for it. It's a catchy song, kind of a soul-searching one if you know what I mean. Plus, it's Enrique and he's hawt stuff, so I can't deny the chance to see his flesh. xD

The Lonely Island - I Jizzed In My Pants

I love this song. XD The Hot Rod guys are just effing awesome!

I can't wait to finally get my DVD and CD off the internet! I order the Incredibad package off the net and plan to watch the video clips whilst I get drunk. XD It'll be so much funnier.

Comedy singers are awesome. <3

Yellow Butterfly - Meg and Dia

This is SUCH an emotional song. At the beginning, it's a mother and her five year old daughter at the side of a river, and the mother turns away. Without the mother realizing, her daughter is getting closer to the river, and falls in. The mother hears the splash and her daughter's scream, and the little girl goes "Mother, please save me!" but it's too late, and the girl dies ;__;

Then it talks about the mother visiting the river every week, visiting the spot she hates so much, but the spot that her daughter loves. Five years pass, and her husband won't talk to her because she couldn't save their daughter, but she already feels guilty, and hears her daughter's scream everywhere. The mother is extremely depressed, and her husband is making it worse by blaming her, and then the line "a razor to the wrist for each unshed tear" comes up, and it makes me want to burst into tears ;_;

After that, the mother crashes her car into the lake and passes out, "seeing" her daughter's face as she faints. She's taken to the doctor, and he just gives her more depression pills, and they won't help. The song then talks about how the mother is sure that her daughter's heaven looks just like the river, and even though the river scares her now, she'll be glad to see it in heaven. It won't scare her in heaven because she'll be with her daughter again.

I kinda think... that the mother does end up committing suicide =/ I don't think the ending is too happy, tbh. The song makes me want to start crying, but it's so beautiful at the same time...

DEAR GOD THIS POST IS LONG.

Anyways, I love the song, and the summary of it is: A little girl falls into a river and dies, and her mother is mourning her and trying to kill herself.

The Galvatrons - When We Were Kids

This song is so lovely. <3 It makes me think of the younger days when I was in highschool and how I got to hang out with my friends every day.

It's kind of sad.

Now we're all grown up and moved on with our lives and don't have time for each other anymore. =(

I remember looking forward to school just because I got to hang out with my mates. I'll be lucky if I see any of them every few months these days. v_v

Sara (Live) - Fleetwood Mac

I love the 1980 live album, back when everyone's voices were still perfect. I love how it's slightly faster than the album version, and I think Stevie's voice sounds better on the live version, I love it when she hits those high notes.

Mika- We Are Golden

Yes, again. Recently I've been told by my friend who loved this single too so she got me back to it. This song was apparently about his childhood memories, as a boy when he danced to music in his bedroom. The music video shows him doing that and for that reason and his music, I loved it ever since I've discovered it.

Scooter - The Question is

I first heard this song when I was watching my music DVD.

My favourite part is the part when the little leprechaun sounding guy sings and the guys start dancing a little Irish dance all over the place. XD

It's just such a funny and happy song and it makes me smile. XD

Prayers for Rain - The Cure
The Cure at their best, dark gloomy songs, and it is what the Cure is about, not their pop songs but very downbeat music. The drumming is quite soft and unlike Pornography it's a not bare, there's plenty of guitar and keyboard and synthesizer.

In a Little While - U2 7/10

Nothing particularily spectacular, but its pretty good. It's rather a nice little tune actually.... it's quite easy to sing along to. Nothing I'd really pick out of my songs to listen to, its just nice to listen too if it makes a random play. Sometimes Il just skip it. It's just one of them, not too special songs really. Though its good now Im thinking about it....

Eminem - My Name Is

So yeah.

When I was 8-12 I used to sing this shit. Unfortunately, after having it ripped from me because I was sucha little hellion, I guess I forgot how funny it was.

I know I've been against rap for a while, but Shady is just something different from stuff I usually imagine when I think of rap.

My English teacher wanted to flunk me in junior high
thanks a lot... next semester I'll be 35
I smacked him in his face with an eraser, chased him with a stapler
Stapled his nuts to a stack of paper.
Walked in the strip club, had my jacket zipped up
Flashed the bartender, and stuck my dick in the tip cup
Extraterrestrial, runnin' over pedestrians,
in their spaceship while they're screamin at me "lets just be friends!"

All my life I was very deprived.
I ain't had a woman in years, and my palms are too hairy to hide
(Whoops!) Clothes ripped like the Incredible Hulk (riiip)
I spit when I talk,(hachhh-too) I'll fuck anything that walks (C'mere)

In particular has been making giggle to myself quite a lot. :wacky:

The Sisters of Mercy - Temple of Love.

Not my favourite Sisters of Mercy song, but a really good one. It's the extended version I listen to, and I prefer the whole thing of this. I love their style in general. The beat, pace and sound of this song is fantastic I feel.

Scene for Dummies - Hollywood Undead

It's kind of an old song. Hollywood Undead became popular thanks to Myspace. This song has a lot of quips about Myspace in it. It's amusing from time to time. I wouldn't say it's a favorite of mine though.

A Praise Chorus - by Jimmy Eat World

Amazing song. Someone :D Was nice enough to send over a billion songs of this band over MSN. <3

Melody in this song is amazing, as well as the lyrics. I'm in love with this song... Funny, everytime I put one of this band's songs on repeat I fall in love with it. :gonk: They're so gooooooooooooooooooooood.

I'm on my feet. I'm on the floor. I'm good to go...
All I need is just to hear a song I know...
Wanna always feel like part of this was mine.
I wanna fall in love tonight...

Crimson, and clover...
Over and over...

Why did we ever meet?

The Lonely Island - I Jizzed In My Pants

I love this song so much. =0 I even showed the video clip to my mum last night after I got the DVD and CD in the mail.

She thought they were peeing in their pants. :gasp:

I told her what it really was and she was going off at me how it isn't lady like etc. XD

Anyway. They are hilarious. Their lyrics crack me up and the music is actually quite catchy.

A Record year for Rainfall - The Decemberists
It's a really great folk rock/rock song, by an intelligent band. It's quite sad, it's about the imminent break-up of a relationship and singing about the end of the relationship as well as how to remember it. On the surface it's a nice little melancholy song, but if you listen you can tell that they're a really well read and intelligent band. I just think it's nice to see genuinely musically ambitious bands trying to make good music rather than focusing on making any mainstream shit.

Kill - by Jimmy Eat World

Omnomnom. Very good, bit upbeat-ish, yet sad song. Completely loving the lyrics to it, they're gorgeous.

♫I loved you, and I should've said it.

Could it be that everything goes 'round by chance,
Chance,

World So Cold ~ by Three Days Grace

Off their new album "Life Starts Now". Only heard it like twice now, but it's pretty good. I haven't really connected with the song yet like I usually do with most 3DG's songs, but I think once I play it through a couple times, it'll be a great song.

Katy Perry - Hot N' Cold

I love this song! <3

It really is true what she's saying though with some guys. <_< She shouldn't have married such a young one to start with. Their brains aren't in full working order yet to know what they want. XD

Anyway love her voice, love her lyrics and her videos. <3
