The Warrior Inside - Dragonforce

Its far too early in the morning for this kind of thing blasting my ears to shreds, but for some reason I've become rather fond of Dragonforce recently. Some of their songs - this one in particular, because I love the opening and chorus - are incredibly catchy, and actually do have a rhythm to them that isn't so insanely fast you can't pick it out.

I think this is the Dragonforce tune I enjoyed most. :hmmm:
...you're so mean to me :sad3:

Ashes of Dreams/New - Keiichi Okabe
From the NieR OST...not my favourite track, but one of the most refreshing, since it has identifiable lyrics. xD
Plus it plays during the ending credits and, considering what happens just before the ending credits, its quite moving ;_;

Kimberly Cole - Smack You [click to listen]

I'm pretty sure the song has fitted into every girl's life at least once, when someone gets under our skin. Not the kind of song you'd hear on the radio, but I heard it on a video I was watching the other night. The beat was extremely catchy and upbeat, so I had to know what song it was. I found it and I've been listening to it so many times since then. It's a great song to dance to as well. lul .

Matt Cardle - When We Collide

A fine winner's single from X Factor from a worthy winner. I prefer this to the original version, there's more emotion coming from Matt's voice and the production of it is amazing. Still glad he's won the show and will go on to a glittering career. It's about time there's a respectable male singer from the UK around, anyway.

Darth Vader - Bad Romance

Hearing Darth Vader yell "CAUSE I'M A FREE BITCH, BABY!" is one of the funniest things ever.

FYI: There's a ton of "Darth Vader Sings ____________" songs on youtube. The "Baby" one swaps out Ludacris for Jabba the Hutt.

Northern Kings - I Should be so Lucky

So yes, this song sounds creepy, sinister, stalker-ish, and generally filled with violent intent. It's amazingly well done for a cover, even if the image I get of the entire band at 3:51 is one of the four of them doing a can-can routine atop a dinner table and kicking the food and dishes around.

Now remember; it's a cover. Here's the original: I Should be so Lucky - Kylie Minogue

The difference between the two is...alarming to say the least.

EDIT: Alter the pitch on the Kylie Minogue version and it sounds like Rick Astley.

That's great :lew: I'll have to check these out at some point XD

Right now, though,

Abandoned Pools- "Blood"

Unforch there's no Youtube video for the actual song (hard to find them on there :sad3:), but their whole Humanistic album is amazing. This one is kind of a dark yet sort of mellow commentary on awkward relationships with family, but part of it works sort of with friends too. Lots of great lyrics and I love their sound, 10/10.

I see the happy family tree
It sways so easily
We're smiling all the time
This world just isn't mine

We watch it burn, and we never learn
This can't be what you're waiting for
Staring into the sun, we eat our young
This can't be what you're waiting for

Just take it easy on yourself
Forget all the stupid things we say
I know you beat up on yourself
I know, I know it's in the blood

You say what no one understands
The seeds are in your hands
The branches break your bones
I can't just leave you alone

And watch you squirm, and we never learn
This can't be what you're waiting for
Staring into the sun, we eat our young
This can't be what you're waiting for

Just take it easy on yourself
Forget all the stupid things we say
I know you beat up on yourself
I know, I know it's in the blood
I know, I know it's in your blood
It's in your blood

And I can't bring myself to look
I rip the pages from the book
And watch it burn
And we never learn
This can't be what you're waiting for
Staring into the sun, we eat our young
This can't be what you're waiting for

Just take it easy on yourself
Forget all the stupid things we say
I know you beat up on yourself
I know, I know it's in your blood
I know, I know it's in your blood
It's in your blood

Nine Inch Nail - hurt

I love that song. It's about regrets and memories. I'm not saying I have a lot of regrets but there are some things in my life I would do differently if I could start over. It also makes me think about the friends I lost over the years.

I also like Johnny Cash's version. The video is amazing:

Vanilla Twilight - Owl City (Click to listen)

Usually I don't like eletro-pop/light techno, but for some reason the way everything in this song, and the lyrics really make me think otherwise of that genre. I absolutely love the lyrics, and the odd way of using "Vanilla" and "Twilight" as a way of spreading a love message. It's definitely a good song :ryan:

Michael Buble - Hollywood

I'll admit it, I was never a fan to begin with. However, after hearing the likes of Haven't Met You Yet, Cry Me A River and this song, I most certainly am now. I like how it's such a laidback kind of song, whilst getting the message of fame and be careful what you wish for across very well. The production of this is so fun and upbeat. Michael Buble's voice is also really polished.

The Rolling Stones- Beast of Burden

This is my favorite song from the stones. They may be old school but they are/were such an awesome band. I don't know about everyone else, but when a relationship goes awry, you always wonder what your inadequacies were...Anyways. You reach a point where you don't want to take it anymore and you want to say forget it :monster:

Ke$ha - The Harold Song

I'm surprised she's done this kind of song, but I'm most certainly not complaining. It'll show those who say she can't sing and make them throw away the accusations. I really, really love this. I like the fact she's going on about love when she usually goes on about getting drunk on Jack Daniels. The production of this is nicely and neatly done, the rhythm of it just goes with the lyrics. Probably one of her better songs.

The Birthday Massacre- Red Stars

I was buzzing around on YouTube tonight and I found this song in one of the Versus FMV's...The beginning and the guitar solos aren't my favorite part of the song...but I do love the lyrics and the girl's voice is really beautiful. Try it, see what you think :monster:

Bruno Mars - Just The Way You Are

Despite the fact it's been overplayed and probably overhyped by this point in time, I still have the adoration and love for this beautiful song. His voice is really emotional and quite polished. It's the sort of song every girl would love to see her boyfriend just blurt out to her. And this song is most certainly amazing, all right.

Plan B - She Said

I didn't originally like this song, but the chorus soon caught my attention and I had to listen to the full version. I'm not a big fan of the rap towards the end of it, but the whole production of it is really snazzy. The lead singer's got a decent voice and the video for it is quite interesting, didn't expect anything like that. I bet they'll go on to make even more great songs like this.
