[V5] What are you currently listening to?

Nelly - Just A Dream

This signals a big welcome back to Nelly. I don't like rap, but I can stand this and this is the best song I've heard from him since he did the one with Kelly Rowland way back when. It's a very relaxed production. It's become one of my new favourite songs just recently and like how he hasn't resorted to much electropop like everyone else has. It's nice to hear a good R&B song for the first time in a while.

I recently discovered hardstyle techno. It's a mix between gabber, hardcore and club techno. It's more melodic and it's slower than hardcore (around 140 bpm). The hardstyle scene is a lot bigger in Europe than in North America. I really like Headhunterz, a dutch dj/producer team. I've been listening to that track non stop recently:

ABBA - The Winner Takes It All

I know there are plenty of ABBA songs to entertain the world, but this one is really golden. I like the hidden meaning behind it and love the overall production of it. Still can't believe it was voted #1 as the nation's favourite ABBA song. Regardless of that, it's a great song on its own and is so memorable.

Gigi D'Agostino- I'll Fly with you

This has always been one of my favorite songs. The singer might sound a little Alvin the Chipmunkish but the lyrics are amazing and its a very pretty song...and I have no Idea what japananime that is in the video...:gasp:

Get Him to the Greek - Jackie Q's "Ring 'Round

1234 its just like coming in the back door
5678 oh, feels great.

Haha. XD This video clip is hilarious in the movie. XD

I love all the music in this movie actually. It's the funniest movie I've seen in ages and the soundtrack is just fantastic!

Awesome lyrics! XD

I just headbanged to Winnie the Pooh.

There. Seven words I never thought I'd say in conjunction like that.

Ack...track changed.

Nothing much more can be said here beyond "FUCK YEAH!"

Seriously, metal Pokemon theme. With Tony Kakko (Sonata Arctica, Northern Kings) singing.

Instant awesome :3

MOTHERFUCKING POWERGLOVE, FUCK YEAH!

Now that that's out of the way...

I can seriously listen to this for hours. It's one of the few songs I can seriously get lost in. I once gathered materials in my MMO for 2 hours listening to this song and I didn't realize how much time had passed by. I also drove to this song once, and I don't recommend doing that. I was going 90 and passed up the street I had to turn on.

Fuck... I love this fucking song.

Dev - Booty Bounce

This song is kinda weird but there's something about it that intrigues me.

Part of her song was actually featured in 'Far East Movements - Like a G6'.

Her lyrics used from the song were played at 1:48:

Poppin' bottles in the ice (in the ice)
Like a blizzard (like a blizzard)
When we drink we do it right
Gettin' slizzard

Sippin' sizzurp in my ride (in my ride)
Like Three 6 (Three 6)
Now I'm feelin' so fly
Like a G6

It definitely sounds better in Far East Movements song though. XD

This is pretty good. I love techno.

I'm currently listening one of my best album. X-Dream: We Interface. This song is called The 1st and it's my favourite on the album. The beat is different from everything I've listen to and I love the lyrics. They give the song a futuristic ambiance. i saw X-Dream live back in 2005 and it was one of the best show I went to.

MOD EDIT: Please put some more effort into your post. Maybe say what you like about the song? This is slightly spammy and might be deleted next time. Thank you.

Gary Wright - Dream Weaver [click to listen]

Due to hearing the phrase so much, I have decided to listen to this song as I am procrastinating with my American Sign Language project. It'll help me focus - but this is one of my favorite classic songs ever. It relaxes me, especially when I'm about to go to sleep for the night. I'm pretty sure this song is going to be stuck in my head for the remainder of the day. And hopefully by the end of it, my project will be done and I'll have nothing to stress about .

Shontelle - Impossible

I've been playing this alongside Just A Dream by Nelly a lot lately. I didn't really like her when she did T-shirt and that song with Akon, but this song makes me like and appreciate her voice a lot. The fact she wanted to do a song about heartbreak and that there were none at the time is quite sweet. Even though it's heart wrenching, I do adore it and the lyrics are really deep.

:rage:

I haven't listened to the original song in a while, and I loved the original, but I have to say this mix almost surpasses it. Kinda makes me want to play Mirror's Edge again.

Alex Gaudino- I'm in Love

I think this is a fab song and has great replayability. I've had this playing on my Ipod since I heard it on the radio months and months ago. The girl thats singing...I sware I thought it was Rihanna since I heard the version with the vocals on the radio...but it isn't. I think they sound very similar. The music video is kinda cute too.

Acceptance - Take Cover

I'm one of the few who didn't go crazy over their hit, So Contagious. IMO this song is so, so much better. Great piano intro, slightly heavy, slightly fast and fantastic vocals. :ryan:

Caught you, so take cover
Never saw it coming so you put me on again
Had you and no other
The game, the lie is getting old

Daft Punk - Veridis Quo 10/10

I like to listen to this song when I'm stressed (like today). It's so relaxing I almost forget about everything. The patters in the song are a bit repetitive but the melody is so beautiful I could listen it all day long.

They made an japan anime with the album this song is from (Discovery). It's called Interstella 5555 and it's really good.

Britney Spears - Stronger

This is definitely the best Britney Spears song for me hands down. It's a very personal song to me because I can relate to the theme and the lyrics, so it easily becomes a favourite of mine. Now Britney might not be the best singer vocally in the world, but she knows how to make a fantastic song that leaves you with a long lasting impression. The lyrics may tend to repeat themselves, but I bet it's for emphasis.

Ferry Corsten- Its time

10/10...Pure club. I remember listening to Ferry when I first got into dance/trance/house music. Its a song about waiting for someone to finally come around to you...and it makes me want to dance :awesome:

Gabriella Cilmi - On A Mission

I absolutely love this song, it's so uptempo and very 80's. Her voice is also really unique and the production of this was thought through thoroughly. I love the chorus and shows how powerful women really can be. The theme of that is appealing to me and coupled with such a great artist like her, it makes for a great pop song.

You just made me want to listen to Right of way another time. I like that album and particularly the track Rock your body. There are a lot of remixes of this song and I really like the extended mix:

I also really like that remix released by Eskimo in 2008: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BAiNVqJXCvo
