Lady GaGa - Bad Romance

Over a year on, I still believe this is her best song to date. To think she won three MTV VMAs is amazing. It feels like it's telling such an incredible tale. The production from RedOne is fantastic. The video to it brings the song to life and the structure of it. And even some people who didn't like GaGa to begin with like her now because of this!

Ballrog Boogie - Diablo Swing Orchestra

This song is utterly bizarre, yet strangely catchy. The Latin (at least, I'm almost positive it's Latin, I recognise some of the words in the chorus) helps, as well. I can't say I'm overly keen on DSO, but I absolutely love this song. Yet another exception to the rule :hmmm:

Bruno Mars- Grenade

I'm so obsessed with this song :gonk: Bruno has such an amazing voice and, I really like his music. This song is so catchy and I can't help but sing every-time I hear it. The chorus is stunning and brings this piece to be complete ♥

'Just the Way You Are' I mean, c'mon, who wants to break poor little Bruno's heart? he knows what to say to a girl thats for sure. He's very... charming I suppose.

Awesome song! I can't get enough of it x]

I'm one of those people. I use to hate Gaga but after listening to Bad Romance, I did admit that she has some talent. It's probably her best song but I like also some other songs from her, like Alejandro (not sure if I spell it right however)

Sublime - Romeo

One of my favourite song from Sublime and probably the best lyrics written by Bradley Nowell. Too bad he died from an overdose in 1996. Sublime was a great band and had variety in their music. Sublime helps me forget about winter a bit because their music is perfect for the summer.

The Shins- "Caring Is Creepy"

Wow, I just found this song in my Pandora, and it's awesome :gasp: I think I read somewhere that they're on SubPop Records or related to it somehow, and I believe it--they sound so much like Sunny Day Real Estate (one of my very favorites) yet also original enough to stand alone as well. There's a part around 1:45 especially that really grabs you, where the line goes "All these squaking birds won't quit/Building nothing, laying bricks." The melody there is quite gripping to me. And the lyrics are intelligent and interesting. 10/10

Where Is The Edge - Within Temptation

It's probable that I'm going to be listening to this all night, memorizing the lyrics. Since I only discovered it today I'm not entirely sure how much I'm going to like it, but my initial impression is a good one. Sharon's still got it ♥

Lady Gaga- Starstruck

Ohh man. Lovegame has to be my favorite Gaga song so far, but I think this is my second favorite. It has such an awesome beat and its a really good club-ish sort of song. Gaga's got some skills :monster:

Led Zeppelin- "Kashmir"

Even though I've heard this song sampled plenty of times, I've never heard the whole original version, and it's great to just chill to :ryan: Very long though :hmmm: But that's part of the beauty of it, it creates a nice atmosphere due to its length. 9/10 just because I kind of fell asleep for part of it and didn't get to hear the whole thing :hmmm:

Tomandandy - Cutting (Resident Evil Afterlife Soundtrack)

You guys should listen to this song! It is completely badass!. This one has to be the most badass of them....! Or maybe they all are!

TomandAndy, if I remember from what I read, use to do commercial songs and TV show songs. But his soundtrack for the movie (Resident Evil) is simply amazing. Its scary, rockish, kickass and....well, I can't describe it properly! Its just really, really awesome!

It was hard to watch the awesome movie when you heard the music, so I had to watch again. The movie itself is great too.

1000/10!

(Really guys, just click play. You'll be amazed! :D)

Verres Militares - Rondellus

So yeah. Some people in a band called Rondellus were listening to Black Sabbath and discovered that many of their lyrics were repetitive. They weren't repetitive in a bad sense mind you, but they were just right for chanting.

And so they released the little gem known as "Sabbatum". It's a CD of Black Sabbath songs chanted in latin with the music played on actual medeival instruments.

Anyway, the above track I'm listening to is "War Pigs".

Oddly different from Ozzy, huh?

Dean Martin & Nancy Sinatra - Things

First off, on the video I came across a comment which I love:

"Young men observe this, the style, the manner, the gentleman ways. Watch and learn, because lo, I bet he got a lot of sex."

:lew:

Because it's so... true. Today, it seems like all I hear in rap is "I'm gonna **** you in your **** ***** ***** with my ***** *** ***", :-)wacky:) and this works for some of them. To be honest, I think people are getting extremely stupid when it comes to choosing their significant other. But that's a rant that I'll save for the proper discussion.

Nancy's parts in this song do really well to make it sound complete. I love how her voice and Dino's seem to go perfectly together for a song like this one.

Every night I sit here by my window (window)
Staring at the lonely avenue (avenue)
Watching lovers holdin' hands
And laughin' (ha ha ha)
Thinkin' 'bout the things we used to do
(Thinkin' 'bout things)
Like a walk in the park (things)
Like a kiss in the dark (things)
Like a sailboat ride (ya ya)
What about the night we cried
Things like a lover's vow
Things that we don't do now
Thinkin' 'bout the things we used to do

Memories are all I have to cling to (cling to)
And heartaches are the friends
I'm talkin' to (but you got me now)
When I'm not thinkin' of just how much
I love you ('bout I love you, too)
I'm thinkin' the things we used to do
(Used to do, thinkin' 'bout things)
Like a walk in the park (things)
Like a kiss in the dark (things)
Like a sailboat ride (ya ya)
What about the night we cried
Things like a lover's vow
Things that we don't do now
Thinkin' about the things we used to do

I still can hear the juke box softly
Playin' (playin')
And the face I see each day belongs to you
(Belongs to you)
But there's not a single sound
And there's nobody else around
But that's just me thinkin' 'bout the things we used to do
(We used to do, thinkin' 'bout things)
Like a walk in the park (things)
Like a kiss in the dark (things)
Like a sailboat ride (ya ya)
What about the night that we cried
Things like a lover's vow
Things that we don't do now
Thinkin' about the things we used to do
And heartaches are the friends I'm talkin' to
You got me thinkin' 'bout
The things we used to do (I hope so)
Thinkin' 'bout the things we used to do

Gareth Emery- Sanctuary

I've been hearing this a lot on the radio lately. It takes awhile to get into the better parts of the song (around 2:04 of the video)...but it has such an amazing beat...and whoever it is who does the vocals really does an awesome job, she has such a beautiful voice. The music video is really odd  but other parts of it are kindof scenic looking. 8/10

Hit it Again- 3OH!3

I really enjoy listening to 3OH!3.

They have very catchy songs and, this is one of them.

Even though i'm sure his voice is fixed, I really think it's nice XD.

The have very good party songs, thats for sure.

Though, I certainly wouldn't get with someone who 'fucked around with all my friends' >_<

Not my favorite but still a good song though!

U2- "New Year's Day"

Haha, I have to listen to this one on the appropriate day every year :lew: But it is a really great song anyway. I have it on their U218 Singles album, which is loaded with awesome tracks by them. I love the sense of urgency in this song and how the main intro riff is instantly recognizable. 10/10.

Coldplay - Violet Hill

The lyrics are amazing and the piano breakdown near the end sounds like it was made from heaven :gonk:

Enrique Iglesias ft. Nicole Scherzinge - Heartbeat

One of my favourites at the moment.

It has such a trippy and relaxing feel about it. I love the music video. It looks so peaceful and pretty with all the colours around them. <3

Definitely my favorite music video at the moment.

I don't like Enrique but he's pretty good in this one.

BT- The Emergency

This is such a beautiful song. The lyrics are very powerful and speak for themselves. Its about the pain associated with loving someone so much. The video is...okay...but they could've done much better with it. Still, a very good song. 9/10

Michael Jackson - Heartbreaker

We all know MJ is the best! So I had to play one of his songs!

I haven't met a lot of people who have heard of this song, which is kinda weird, but o-wellz! This song actually reminds me of some really, really big battle for some strange reason. Its my favorite song from Michael Jackson and in the list of some of my favorite music pieces ever.

Just look at the awesome lyrics! :33

That girl I can't take her
Should have known she was a heartbreaker
That girl I can't take her
Should have seen right through her she's a heartbreaker
That girl I can't take her
Should have seen it coming heartbreaker
That girl I can't take her
Should have seen right through her
She's a heartbreaker
