[V5] What are you currently listening to?

Zombie - The Cranberries

Ohhhhh how I love this song. It's been in my top 50 on itunes for AGES now. I've heard that it's about a war, and I'd say it is too, although I'm shit with history :wacky: It's... different. Very eerily haunting and amazingly fun to sing. It's actually my best song on Singstar :mokken: Although... I can't sing for shit :hmmm: I saw this song to a video first... FF8 amvs ftw xD and then a while ago someone sent it to me and I've adored it ever since, it's very powerful D= Sad when you actually listen to the lyrics as well :sad3:

Vengaboys - We Like To Party

Cheesy track, but they were the ones that literally introduced me to fantastic dance music. I think I'm going to download the rest of their songs just for lulz. It brings memories back at the school disco, where I'd dance until no tomorrow. Don't do that much now, but I love this song. You can just dance to this wherever you are. I really miss the group now.

Kings and Queens - 30 seconds to mars

Since i heard it on the trailor of Gaurdians of Ga'hoole, is was hypnotized. I tend to form my own meanings for songs but this one really speaks to me. "The age of man is over". A ver y powerful lyric in my eyes. What i get from this song is that....well....it makes me want to stand on top a builidng and yell, "I'm here and not going down without a fight!" I'm not sure why, but i get a positive vibe from the song.

It's not really about a war, it's about the Troubles, although I think the one event that the song was based on was the uprising in 1916.

Witness (1 hope) - Roots Manuva
I guess Roots Manuva is probably my favourite rapper, his songs are quite often a mix of rap and dub or electronica. The bass on Witness is fantastic, he also has some nice lyrics and can be quite amusing. And the video for this song is the best music video for a song.

Scooter - The Logical Song

I remember back in school when people called this song gay for no good reason.

I think this is actually a pretty cool song. Sure the guy who sings it might look a bit gay, but that doesn't mean the song is.

I love the beat and although the lyrics aren't that fantastic it's catchy. =)

Flight of the Conchords - Leggy Blonde

This song is hilarious, I found them through a friend, its like 'white people rapping but making it funny'. Its a very strange combination.
I would recommend these guys to anyone that has a sense of humour.

Kevin Rudolf Feat. Birdman, Jay Sean & Lil' Wayne - I Made It

A very uplifting song with references to some of the artists' previous songs like Let It Rock and Down. I particularly like how Jay Sean blends into the song very well. I first heard it on the radio and didn't think much of it. But after seeing it on a WWE advert, I downloaded it to give it a chance. I love how it's about making it in the industry and being proud of accomplishing that goal.

MGMT - Kids

Amazing song, not even listened to the rest of the album lol. Great vocals, lyrics and good use of different instruments. Upbeaty and fun!!

Alexandra Burke - The Silence

If you're looking for the best ballad on the album, then it'd be a toss up between this and Overcome. It's the first song that hadn't been released that I heard and fell in love with it instantly. I can tell there's some sort of hidden meaning behind it and some months later from listening to it, I'm still trying to unravel it. Regardless, Alex has an amazing voice and knows how to hold her high notes.

Polaris, by Jimmy Eat World

Gorgeous song. Love the lyrics.

I remember trying to cover it on the guitar, and it would just ruin such a great song, literally. Song's not meant to be covered... :gonk: I love it.

The Silversun Pickups - "Sort Of"

This song is just so great. I love how he says "do you THINK" really softly and sometimes loudly and then say the rest really rough. And that drum is just too sick. I love how deep it sounds. And that guitar is so addictive.

And when it reaches the chorus I love how all of the instruments just come together so well!

And the little pauses in the song where it's just drums, bass, and guitar are amazing!

It's a great song.

Read My Mind (Merry Crystal Edition) - Sweetbox

I love this version of Read My Mind to bits. It's up beat and odd. It really makes the song sound all Christmasy. I love it to bits. I love all the Crystal Editions of Read My Mind in fact. The lyrics are so good. "I don't want to sing a normal song".

Rain On Me - Cheryl Cole

>_>

Yes, I know, Cheryl doesn't have a particularly strong or amazing voice, and singing in tune or live is something she can't do amazingly well, but I like this song. I love the instruments used in the background, the music is actually really good. Cheryl's singing is pretty good on this song too, and the chorus has a great hook.

Blink 182 - Shut Up

In a Blink 182 mood of late.

I love their lyrics. They make me laugh, and make me emotional sometimes, depending on the song.

They really had a good thing going.

I'd love to hear more of their stuff one day.

Take Me As I Am, by FM Static

Playful, yet emotional song. I really like it. It's become a favourite of mine since the first time I heard it.

The melodies, lyrics, and the lead singer's voice go so well together! It's great. :D Really puts me in a great mood.

QUEEN "I Want It All"

My lil brother is playing Guitar Hero II so that's why I have to listen to the song. However, I do love Queen, just not this song.

Which To Bury, Us Or The Hatchet?, by Relient K.

Great band! x3 Love this song. It's most likely my third favourite aside from Be My Escape, and I So Hate Consequences. xD Even though it's a Christian rock band, they make some damn good music. There ya go, don't judge a book by it's cover. :ryan:

Predictable, by Good Charlotte.

:wacky:

This song is awesome!! "I knew it all along! you're so predictable! I knew something would go wrong! (something's always wrong) So you don't have to call, or say anything at all!"

:ryan: It's a song with a strong message and I love it. It's on repeat now. xD

You know I thought I heard that somewhere, but I thought that it was something someone made up. >.<

But that's awesome!

Goo Goo Dolls - Sympathy

Not my favourite song from them, but I was just thinking about that movie with Hilary Duff 'Cinderella Story' and that song is in it and it's been playing over and over in my head non stop. >.<

I like Iris better. I think that's the only real song I like from them.

But Sympathy is okay too.
