Muse - Uprising

Just been in a Musey mood this morning and listening to them just cheers me right up. This song was knocked when it first came out and people were trying to convience me it was crap cause it was a mix of Dr Who, Queen and Marilyn Manson! I bloody love it!

Diana Vickers - Once

I'm not listening to this because I like it - I was just listening to it to give me an excuse to rant at something. This song is just one of those forgettable, mediocre little pop debuts of a forgettable, mediocre artist. Diana Vickers came fourth in the 2008 X-Factor (I completely forgot who the heck she was soon afterwards) and already this is apparently tipped off to be the UK number 1.

I have no idea why. The song is sub-average at its best. Her voice is just sub-average as well. This song should only chart once, then disappear.

5/10

Avenged Sevenfold - Afterlife

Not my favourite by them (that would be Seize the Day), but I was in the mood for a bit of Avenged Sevenfold so I've been listening to them all day basically :monster:
Makes me miss The Rev though... R.I.P.

So... 9/10 for me.

Shoji Meguro - Heartbeat, Heartbreak

Its from the Persona 4 OST, its one of the best game soundtracks Ive heard and this one makes me smile. It plats when school is over and you need someway to pass the time. Its amazing, lovely.

10/10

Taking Back Sunday - Capital M-E

Although a bit hard to listen to when taking into account that the lyrics are about the problems with and departure of former band mate, Fred Mascherino, it's impossible to hold that against this song. The instrumentals are great, but even better are the lyrics, which prove to be incredibly witty in this song. The first verse sings:

"The nicest man/
I ever met/
Was more malicious/
than malcontent

Yeah, he taught me how/
To hold my tongue/
And wait to strike/
Till their backs were turned

Yeah you slither away like the snake that you are (x2)"
--

Brilliant, in my opinion. A 9/10, as I think only the chorus could have improved.

PATRICK WOLF - "HARD TIMES"

I heard it a long time ago (when it was knew) and have loved it since. I don't know why, but I see this really big, epic battle when I hear this song. The beat is cool, the video is cool, the lyrics are cool and the signer's voice is pretty good. :)

Since the lyrics are my favorite part of a song, that's why I'll give this one a:

10/10!

The Human League- "Human"

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EjG-AE6tuqo&feature=channel

For some reason I've been on a weird 80's music kick since Thursday night, I actually went and made a Youtube playlist for myself with like 30 songs from that period that I liked growing up xD And even though this one isn't really relevant to anything in my life, the melody really sticks out in my head; and because I never knew all the lyrics before, I grew up thinking the song was about just being "human" and prone to make mistakes in general, so I've always given it that connotation, rather than thinking of it as a song about cheating.

When i'm Gone-Three Doors Down

Fanfuckingtastic song<3

beginning to end, i love this song like a lot xD

The lyrics are awesome, the music is awesome and so is the gutiar solo torward the end x]

I really like the lead singer's voice it's pretty XD

Could listen to this all day and night.

10/10

For Keeps - The Gossip

I'm a huge fan of Beth Ditto's voice, and I love the more subtle approach in this song. The musical arrangement is quite sparse when compared to their normal songs, and they really let Ditto's voice shine. Her higher register is really effective on this song.

Rihanna - Rude Boy

Damn you, Rihanna. How dare you have a song that I originally hated and wanted to die, only to turn out to be painfully catchy. I heard it a few times on the radio and it's stuck in my head ever since. Sometimes I hate it and find it annoying, other times I find it sickly addictive. I probably need to go get checked out or something. xD

6/7/8 out of 10 depending on mood (not actually sure what to score it as xD)

SR-71: Goodbye.

I started listening to it awhile back and didn't know the name so I asked my friend and he starts to play it! Jurk. Didn't tell me what it was. Another friend did. I dedicate this song to my parents.

3OH!3 - Starstrukk.

Well, it's my most played on my itunes with twice as many plays as 2nd place so it's one of my favourite songs of all time. To be honest, I don't usually like stuff like this but it's so catchy and I really love this band.

10/10 of course!

The Script - We Cry

I've gone back to listen to their (still brilliant) debut single after having not heard it for a while. Danny's voice is a big highlight of the song - he does put a lot into the chorus - I heard them live once. I can't find any real flaws with this song. It's just nice to listen to and you start appreciating the meaningful lyrics - much unlike the countless songs these days with stupid, meaningless lyrics.

10/10

Hitoshi Sakimoto- "Eruyt Village"

From FFXII. I had a really blah day today and this is the only thing that seems to make sense right now.

Savior- Rise Against

I love this song. I've always liked the band but this song, is just fantastic :ryan: It has a nice flow to it and I love the lyrics. The music is great, the signing is great it's just very catchy.

10/10

♪So tell me now
If this ain't love then how do we get out?
Because I don't know
That's when she said I don't hate you boy
I just want to save you while there's still something left to save
That's when I told her I love you girl
But I'm not the answer for the questions that you still have♪

4 Minutes - Glee

I love Kurt and Mercedes, they harmonize so well together. What I love about this song is that finally they show that Kurt can sing like a normal person, not just freakishly high all the time. I love the big marching band arrangement to the song as well, it's brilliant :lew:
