[V5] What are you currently listening to?

Video Killed the Radio Star - The Buggles

I somehow got this song stuck in my head earlier today and felt I had to start listening to it again. At the same time though, I can't listen to it without being reminded of K-on!

Tool - Lateralus
One of the best rock bands out there. They're lyrics are twisted and dark, but not over done. They hold deep meaning and sound so interesting. All the band members are amazing at what they do. The Guitarists, drummer, singer, all of them!

They're an amazing band.

Copeland - Love Is A Fast Song

I love Copeland, but I don't think that I've ever heard this one. :hmmm: I was listening to radio on last.fm and this came up. I quite like it actually. Typical for me to say, but the lyrics are pretty great. Though not surprising because, well, it's Copeland. xD

You don't have to be ashamed
'Cause you're a miracle through and through
Oh, and you don't have to be ashamed
Of the miracle inside of you

What has love become?
(What has love become?)
It's not like we used to hear in those old songs
And it's not like yours
(And it's not like yours)
What has love become?

Whoa...your love is in motion
And it's spinning me around, yeah
Whoa...my heart is in motion
For the movement that's in you

You should not be angry
If all she wants is your money
Oh, you should not be angry
'Cause all you want is her body

What has love become?
(What has love become?)
It's not like we used to hear in those old songs
And it's not like yours
(And it's not like yours)
What has love become?

Whoa...your love is a fast song
And I'm dancing 'cause I'm loved again
Whoa...my heart is in motion
For the rhythm inside you
Whoa...your love is a slow song
It's resounding through my world again
Whoa...my heart is in motion
For the song inside of you

Whoa...your love is in motion
And it's spinning me around, yeah
Whoa...your love is a fast song
And I'm dancing 'cause I'm loved again
Whoa...your love is a slow song
It's resounding through my world again
Whoa...my heart is in motion
For the song inside of you

CheVelle - MIA
Love CheVelle...they're awesome. And this song, though they're oldest, is beyond sick. I know it's heavily inspired by Tool. But CheVelle has stated that they love Tool and that they are their inspiration.

This is a great song and video. Watch I do say, watch.

Doll Parts - Hole.

It's been the song I've had on repeat during this weekend from hell. It sums up everything I feel at the moment. I really like Courtney Love's voice on this too, especially during the final part of the song where she just lets rip, really lovely song.

Come on feel the noise-Quiet Riot

Just love that song gets me so pumped :wacky:
I know i grew up in the late nineties and early 2000's(?) and love eighties music:P

Halo - Florence and the Machine
A pretty decent cover, it suits her voice really well. I'm probably really biased towards her version because I don't like Beyonce, but I much prefer Florence's.

New Mind - Swans
It's a song meant to be live an evangelical preacher, both in the music and the lyrics. It does it very well, there's some disjointed guitar which is barely audible over the rhythmic pounding of the dums. It's quite sparse but it doesn't feel it.

Just got my FFXIII OST!!!!!
im am listening to the battle theme right now and have been for about ten minutes. I love that song with a passion.

Nier Gestalt Battle Theme.

A really good battle them, got a great tune to it, I even made it my created character's Battle Theme, titling it Survival. xD

I like the vocals in it, and the start of it really gets your adrenaline going, and I like that about a song, something that has a really good start to it, then you can just enjoy the whole rest of it. :monster:

Rating: 10/10. One of my very favourite battle themes, no joke. :D

Kaine / Escape - NIER sountrack

Damnit, I LOVE this OST. I'll spend an hour or so on the game, then I'll turn my laptop on and put the soundtrack on. XD

Of Kaine's two themes, this one is my favourite; the one that plays in a couple of battles, its more fast-paced than the other, more melancholy one. I dunno what the lyrics are, but they're just as beautiful as any of the other songs...

Danse Macabre - Camille Saint-Saens

I didn't actually think about this piece when I chanced upon it. What I was looking for was his seemingly more famous piece, 'Carnival of Animals'. Danse Macabre came as a lucky find. Although the title seems to suggest something morbid, it certainly doesn't sound as haunting as I was expecting it to be.

Danse Macabre translates into the Dance of Death. I originally thought it would be a frightful theme that actually stirs up fear deep within. I listened with anticipation, and when it come to the violin's segment, which I read, was supposed to be the part where Death plays on his violin to raise the dead. It sounded more funny than scary. Wikipedia called it 'eerie'. I found it 'funny'.

Nevertheless, I think it would be a nice piece to listen to. Suppose it's not exactly meant to scare people that much after all... After all, it's a dance. :\ Whatever.

Johnny Cash - The Ring Of Fire

I have this song stuck in my head. >.< This one always seems to get stuck in my head after I've listened to it once.

The other night when I went out to the pub they had a live band who played this song really well!

Love it. <3

You Give Love A Bad Name - Bon Jovi

One of my favourite Bon Jovi songs...I don't know why, but I've been in the mood for rock a lot recently. Because it makes me feel about things, I suppose ♥

E.S. Posthumus- "Krosah"

I first heard about this artist from reading a thread in this forum, and now I love them :yay: This is probably my favorite song of theirs I've heard, it's incredibly epic and the melody really sticks in my head. Very exciting music :D

Antony and the Johnsons - The Crying Light

Not quite as good as previous album I Am A Bird Now, this is still very good in its own right though. Antony's gloriously rich, baroque voice (so unique, unlike anything you've ever heard) is in fine form, and the only fault as usual with the act is that occasionally the songs don't live up to his vocals. I especially love the sparseness of Dust and Water, which almost sounds like a church song.

8/10

To The Edge - Lacuna Coil

I can't say I'm overkeen on Lacuna Coil, but I do love this song. Its just...catchy. The male vocals are pretty awesome as well...although the female vocals a little harsher than what I'm used to.

Avril Lavigne - My Happy Ending

Definitely one of my favourite songs from her early days. She's got quite a good voice as well and the song's really consistent, which I really like.

9/10
