Cake - Rock'n Roll Lifestyle

Heard some Cake on Sirius Lithium Radio a few weeks back, liked the sound. I think this song in particular is pretty good.

Influence of Deep -CM Version- - Yoko Shimomura 10/10

This is my favorite track off the Parasite Eve Soundtrack.
I love how well the opera vocals go with the techno-esque beat. It's hard to believe that this is the same composer who did the Kingdom Hearts soundtracks... I love the Music in Kingdom Hearts as well, but it's a completely different sound from KH... I've read that Parasite Eve was Shimomura's best work, and mainly based on this song, I'm inclined to agree. The entire soundtrack is very strong, but this track has always stood out to me. I first heard it when I was 8, and saw the trailer for Parasite Eve on a Demo disc that came with my PSone, and even then I loved it. It always managed to remember the melody over the years, but I didn't learn the name until more recently, when I found the demo disc and watched the trailer again, and then wanted to get the song. I highly recommend the entire soundtrack. It's definitely worth a listen.

Take Off Your Colours - You Me At Six

Love this song! It was my favourite off of the Take Off Your Colours album for quite a while. The song is just so upbeat, and the message in the song is awesome. xD Really makes you feel good when you're just trying to have a good time. :ryan: One of those, 'Tough shit, I don't care.' kinda songs. xD

Bohemian Rhapsody - Queen

Meh. This is quite a masterpiece.

I never thought there would actually be a song by a rock band that would actually incorporate several genres into one. Not only that, their attempt sounded rather impressive too. I particularly like the ballad segment, though I preferred the band's later concert versions of the ballad compared to the original.

It almost seemed like the band was maturing. The original song did not convey that much energy and power compared to his later versions, say, during the Live Aid concert. The original's ballad segment sounded something like how Justin Bieber would sing it to me :awesome:

Doo doo doo doo doo (Heartbreaker) - The Rolling Stones

Proof, it were needed that Keith Richards is the Rolling Stones. An absolutely incredible riff, the lyrics are okay, the Stones aren't particularly good lyrically, but Mick Jagger does have good/great voice. But it's great riff, and the way in which it drives the song.

Kylie Minogue - All The Lovers

Different from what she'd normally do, but I kinda like the direction where her new album could be possibly going. It's a catchy song and has a number one hit written all over it. Kylie's definitely still got it and has much to prove she's still the princess of pop.

Tool - Schism
They're terrifyingly brilliant. Their lyrics are amazing and dark. And this video is particular can scare me to no end.

It's a great song, though.

My Happy Ending - Avril Lavigne

Back to depressing songs. I love Avril Lavigne though, particularly when she does this style of music. The lyrics mean so much to me right now, but I love how they're so catchy. I love listening to this on repeat, even if it is depressing.

Never look at the sun - The Delgados

Lovely song, nice and quite and soft for the most part, but a great chorus, loud and powerful. I think that's the only negative about the song, is a cliched in structure. However it's done very well, beautiful vocals from Emma Pollock, and the ability of the rest of the band play very well.

Copeland - Chin Up

Can't stop listening to this one. I even caught myself singing to it... and I typically don't sing aloud. :lew: As usual, loving the lyrics to this.

With your eyes closed,
Watching a strange show
Play out in your head,
But you were smiling somehow
And your day froze,
And everyone in it
Sat still as a rose,
But we were moving somehow.

Back to where we started,
Losing who we were,
Maybe we should only
Tip a bottle back to keep us filled up.

Back to where we started,
Losing who we were,
Everybody knows that,
You’d break your neck to keep your chin up.

Open your eyes,
And the drops come,
And a snail raced down to your neck,
And looked up,
But you were smiling somehow.

Back to where we started,
Losing who we were,
Maybe we should only
Tip a bottle back to keep us filled up.

Back to where we started,
Losing who we were,
Everybody knows that
You’d break your neck to keep your chin up.

Explosive by Bond but I actually have all my Bond music on play at the moment.
This song is just so epic and inspirational. It has made me imagine so much and that has been really useful for the novel I am coming up with. All of Bond's music has just expanded my imagination so much and Explosive in particular has done the most for me.
I want to make an amv about my book with this song! Somehow, someday.

Orchard of Mines - Globus

I don't remember where I got this song from, it was quite a while ago though. I think it was through youtube searching around random CloTi videos. :hmmm: I wish I remembered. Either way though, this song is absolutely gorgeous. The song itself sounds really haunting, the music does anyway, mysterious in the least. The lyrics are really pretty too, I really like listening to this song after not hearing it for a while, it sticks, but it's the good addictive sound, not the... "I will stay in your head whether you like it or not."

Don't taint this ground, with the colour of the past... ♪

Diana Ross - If We Hold On Together

This is one of the saddest songs I've heard. >.<

I first heard it at the end of The Land Before Time movie.

I felt so sad for Little Foot. =(

It was a happy ending but he still lost his parents. =(

This ladies voice is just lovely. <3

That song still makes me tear up after all these years ;_;

Anyway, listening to Baba O'Riley (The Who)

I dunno what it is. I just like the way everything in this song sounds.

Dying For An Angel - Avantasia

The album version sounds slightly different to the version that was first released...I think I prefer the former. Still, this is quite a catchy song, and one of the better ones from The Wicked Symphony, in my opinion ♥

We Throw Parties, You Throw Knives - Los Campesinos!
Is anyone actually going to bother reading this? Because I seriously doubt they are. I already did this once and it took about a week before anyone on staff clocked on. If you have bothered reading this, well done. How was your day?

Staff Edit: We are always watching you. Even when you don't know it. Put more effort into your posts you tricky punk or else I ground you from TV for a month.

The Divinyls - When I think About You I Touch Myself

This song wakes me up every morning for work and has been doing so for the last couple of years. XD

It used to be my old ringtone for a while too.

It's still going off as we speak because I've not turned the alarm off yet.

Good song but I've really overplayed it by now. >.<
