Don't Let Me Get Me - P!nk

I love P!nk. She's a great artist and has the most amazing songs. My mom has always liked her music as well, so we're basically tossing CD's back and forth all the time. This has to be my favourite song by her though. At the top of the list at least. She has a lot of great songs, and I really enjoy watching the concert videos on YouTube. She's just always down to earth, and involved with the crowd.

Her facial expressions are awesome too. :D Along with the little "help button" tattoo on her arm. :lew: Just makes me laugh.

Great artist.

Matchbox Twenty- "Bent"

I love their whole "Mad Season" album, but I really like this song in particular :D I've been able to familiarize with it quite a few times in my life, and I love the guitar solo and the overall melody. I also really like the video because it reminds me of when I used to have to walk to and from the bus stop to go to college. I used to go over a lot of emotional stuff in my head as I'd be walking, since I'd have a little time then; and a lot of times I'd feel a lot like the singer Rob Thomas as he was walking down the streets--though I was never mugged, beaten up, hit by a car, or followed, I often felt like people in my life had sort of done that to me in a metaphorical sense :hmmm: And then if someone else tried to offer me help, like the guy at the end trying to help him up, I would be so cynical at that point that I didn't trust them enough to let them in, kind of the way he refuses the help in the video. Very interesting parallels :hmm: Anyway, 10/10.

I recentley got Fever by Bullet for My Valentine.

Its one for the fans of B4MV with tacks like Fever,The last Fight, Pretty on the Outside,
I like it and its still ringing in my head.

Aeriths Theme - Nobou Uematsu

This man is truly amazing, he can envoke any emotion in someone with his music. Truly a master at what he does. This tune makes me smile, but can move me to tears just as easily.

10/10

Britney Spears - Piece of me

Awesome song.

Lyrics are catchy and I love her music video for this one. It's a 'I don't care what you think about me' kind of song and I love it.

Britney has always been a favourite of mine, I just ignore her personal life issues. It ruins her music thinking about it. >.<

10/10

Starry Eyed - Ellie Goulding

I didn't like her at face, but my friend raved over this song, so I gave her another chance, and I totally love it. My friend said it would be the perfect song to get stoned too, and he's right. The vocals, the music, it all flows so well. It's so catchy, and she's got a good voice. Love it.

Tupac Shakur-Changes

This song is an absolute CLASSIC!
The king of rap at his best here!

These lyrics mean a lot......

I could go to sleep on this song!

RIP Tupac

We Miss You

Better Than Ezra- "Alison Foley"

This is a really good, fun song to just hang out to, it's got a light melody and a great bass line :D They almost always play it in concert too, so listening to it brings back good memories for me of going to see them a few times :yay: Unfortunately there's no full version on Youtube so I can't post a link, but 10/10.

Soundtrack: Metal Gear Saga from the Metal Gear Solid 4 Original Soundtracks
Rank: 9.5/10
Review:
This song sure summarizes all the intensity and the courage of the soldiers in battle. Never have I heard such a soundtrack with so much passion. It makes the blood in my veins boil with patriotism, especially during the last two minutes.

Two Times Blue - Deborah Harry

Her voice may not be what it used to be, but she still knows how to use it, and she sounds good! This song wouldn't sound out of place on a Blondie album, and it definitely sounds more like a band track than a solo track. Catchy chorus and a great vocal, one of her more commercial songs too, imo.

Leona Lewis - Naked

This really should have been released as a single, it's one of the major surprising songs on Echo. I like there being guitar in this song and she sounds pretty damn good. It's right up there with the likes of Bleding Love and Run. The lyrics are pretty effective, too. I wouldn't be surprised if she wrote this, considering she wrote a lot of songs for her new album.

10/10

Cocteau Twins- "Essence"

Very rich, melodic song, 10/10. I had actually been listening to another song of theirs which I like, "Aloysius Sanctuary," when I found this one, and I love it :D The only problem is that some of the lyrics are difficult to make out, so I'm not sure what the song is actually about xD And apparently they've never officially released the lyrics, and some of the fan translations are a bit...odd O_O, so I might not ever know :hmmm: But it's pleasant to listen to anyway ^_^

Cascada - Pyromania

It's a song that really gets me in a good mood, which is I probably need right now. I like how they've tried to take their music in a new direction and experiment a bit to sound like Lady GaGa's style. It's worked brilliantly and Natalie's voice is just as fantastic as ever.

10/10

Elton John - Someday out of the Blue

Love this song. He has such a strong voice and the lyrics to this song are just gorgeous. <3

One of my favourites from The Road to El Dorado soundtrack.

Just went to find the soundtrack on ebay and they want $50 for it in Australia and only $12 in America. I think I can deal with the three week wait if it means I can save $38 dollars.

10/10

The Gaslight Antherm - Orphans

just simply amazing this song. Incredible melody, fantastic lyrics and Brian Fellons amazing voice.
It isn't a match for any of the Songs on '59 Sound though, but that Album will forever be their best.
Nether the less

Alkaline Trio - Over and Out (renholder remix)

Didn't like the song till I heard the Renholder remix, amazing song otherwise. Tad bit depressing though... just be warned.

Lyrics below:

"Over and out," she said, from a hospital bed
"For what it's worth, it doesn't hurt, don't cry."
"Over and out," he said, with a .45 to his head
"The war has taken everything from me, it's all I see so..."

Run for cover as fast as you can
Where fighters are lovers, enemies are friends
And pens and knives apologize for leaving you tonight
For leaving you tonight

"Over and out," he sighed, "it seems I've run out of time.
Please tell my wife I loved her more than life itself."
"Over and out," she sang, as the telephone rang
"There's no pain, no answering no more, no."

So run for cover as fast as you can
Where fighters are lovers, enemies are friends
And pens and knives apologize for leaving you

Run for cover and you'll find us there
To take on the anguish, make it disappear
When hand grenades and napalm flames are leaving you tonight

Let this candle burn 'til you get home
Never forget your face, never lose hope
Tonight...

Run for cover as fast as you can
Where fighters are lovers, enemies are friends
And pens and knives apologize for leaving you

Run for cover and you'll find us there (Over and out)
To take on the anger, make it disappear (Over and out)
When razor blades were softly serenading you

Linkin Park - Leave Out All The Rest

It's the sort of song that reflects your life and it's very fitting for how the dark mood I'm in right now. I love Chester's voice, it's full of emotion and he can most certainly scream to no tomorrow. Definitely one of the standout songs I've heard from the band.

10/10
