Epic - Faith No More

Oh man, talk about a sexy song lol XD I always class it as a sex song, not cause of the lyrics, but Mike Pattons voice is just phwoar as hell! <3 the video so much also. Just a classic rock song <3

CheVelle - Comfortable Liar

This song is beyond sick. It's so...so...angry and in your face. And not in the cliche way of some Metal or rock songs.

The whole song sounds old and broken. The guitar makes this creaking sound the drums are deep and heavy. And Peter's voice is phenomenal! The lyrics are exactly what a person would think they're about...a comfortable liar.

Off of the best album of all time.

CheVelle - Clincher

This song is just epic. So is the video. It's gotta be my fav song of theirs off of the album "This Type Of Thinking Could Do Us In"
It's just an awesome rock song.

Careless Whisper- Seether

This song... is just amazing from start to finish. I love the lyrics and Seether is just a great band <3 There's something about it that makes me stick to the song. I quite enjoy listening to it.

Rosenrot - Rammstein.

This one's apparently a slow foxtrot style dance according to my sister (who now classifies every song by what kind of ballroom dance it would be. I'm trying to find one to trip her up now.

Above the Rising Falls OC Remix - Sephfire / Yoko Shimomura

Actually quite an interesting remix. I remember loving this song on the Kingdom Hearts soundtrack, and this gives it a really cool twist that isn't too drastic.

Undead by Adagio

This track begins with a beautifully played short piano piece then explodes in your face with a heavy riff on a different key. I just love the groove in the chorus. Some people say they rip off Symphony X, but this track, one of many, proves they're more than a "poor man's Symphony X". Both bands have their unique traits and they stand vigorously in the progressive metal scene

8.2/10

A Verspertine Haunting - Alive in Wild Paint

Lovely lyrics, lovely vocals, lovely song.

I never meant to leave, dear
I just thought I would arrive
But it seems here
I'm never quite alive
Where you are
The room won't fill with light
But an absence
That makes it's way into mine
I'll share your ghost tonight

I'll never fall asleep, 'til
Dark divorces the sky
When I lie still
My thoughts crawl
Back to your side
I'll share your ghost tonight

I'll share your ghost tonight, tonight
I'll share your ghost tonight

If we ever meet again-Timbaland and Katy Perry

I love both Katy and Timbaland so, these two together= awesome asss song :ryan:

Ultimate Sin (live) - Ozzy Osbourne

The Prince of Darkness four-pack is one of the best things I've ever purchased in terms of music. The first two CDs are a mix of hits, live recordings, and demo tracks, the latter two of those three mostly being previously unreleased material. The third CD is duets/guest performances he did which makes for one of the more hilarious things I've heard (He does "Born to be Wild" with Miss Piggy). The fourth CD is all covers, most of which were later released on the "Under Cover" album.

Also, I will forever be amazed at how clearly the man sings when you can barely understand two syllables when he speaks.

Jaron and the long road - I Pray for You.

reminds me of all the things that could (and should) happen to my ex.

<霸王卸甲> (Ba Wang Xie Jia) AKA. <The King Doffs His Armor>

I'm not too sure who composed the song... But oh well. This one is similar to Ambushed From Ten Sides, <十面埋伏>. However, it is played from the perspective of the Chu King, Xiang Yu. It encapsulates the tragedy of the Chu King in his last few moments. This would date back to really early China at around 202 BC.

It was already at the end of the conflicts between the two nations of Han and Chu. After triumphing over the Qin dynasty and it's harsh political system of legalism, the two dynasties turned against each other due to conflicting interests. It was during this conflict that one of the most bloody battles of ancient Chinese history occurred.

Nevertheless, it ended with the Han King betraying the Chu King at the behest of his ministers and commanding General, the crafty Han Xing. As the Chu King went on his way back to his kingdom from the Han city, the Han dynasty set to work on the Chu armies' destruction.

Now, at this point, the Chu soldiers had been away from home for a fairly long period, having waged war for a very long time with Xiang Yu, the Chu King. As they camped in the middle of the night as they returned, the sly Han Xing sent musicians to surround the camp and play the music of the Chu. This was a clever strategy to make the soldiers homesick and abandon their camps.

It worked. The soldiers, feeling an intense bout of homesickness, promptly abandoned camp. Within a night, the Chu's armies was reduced significantly. Compared to the massive Han army, the Chu army was now merely a small fraction. With that, the Chu started on a hasty retreat the next day.

Not before Xiang Yu's wife, Yu Ji, committed suicide to prevent herself from being a burden. The armies then went on to escape, but as per his reputation at this point, Han Xing had already laid several deadly ambushes for the Chu King. Accurately predicting his movements, Han Xing effectively reduced the already insignificant numbers of the Chu army.

However, Xiang Yu, the Chu King still managed to survive with the help of his men. At the river, the boatman offered him a ride across it. This would have saved his life and give him an excellent opportunity to crush the Han kingdom- considering his military genius and fighting ability.

Nevertheless, at the river, he merely thanked the boatman. There, he said that since the Heavens wants him dead, he shall not live. So, he killed himself right there and then.

The song speaks of this exact same tale up to his death, and I think it did a rather nice job at it. This version is unlike <Ambushed From Ten Sides>, which spoke from the Han Kingdom's perspective. The latter was more exciting, highlighting the successful battles of the Han against the Chu. If you're looking for a more dramatic piece, <Ambushed From Ten Sides> would be a good choice.

If an emotional piece is what you seek, <The King Doffs His Armor> is what you are looking for!

Ben Lee- "Cigarettes Will Kill You"

I actually found Ben Lee by looking at a list of the favorite bands of one of my favorite musicians, but now he's one of my favorites too :D The whole album this is on, "Breathing Tornados," is really good, but this is the song that got me hooked. It's got this title because it's about being addicted to something even though you know it's bad for you, which the video also depicts fairly well. It's got some interesting cooking-related imagery for being a love song too, and it's got a really catchy melody as well :awesome: 10/10

8th Commandment - Sonata Arctica.

The sad thing is, I would never have heard of the song or Sonata Arctica...if it weren't for Haruhi. Back when the first season was big, everyone was doing various lip synchs with the infamous "concert scene". Someone edited it to speed up Yuki's guitar playing and lip-synched Haruhi with Tony Kakko. The song used happened to be 8th Commandment.

Needless to say, I followed the links around to the full song, remembered seeing "Tony Kakko" listed as a guest vocalist for Nightwish, and well...now I own every album from the band ^_^;

All The Right Moves- OneRepublic

I have no clue why but I love this song. <3

The lead singer has such a nice voice idunno it's just great. I love the music itself as well. Its very catchy and it has a nice flow to it as well.

It's a good song to listen too :ryan: put's me in a a happy mood for some odd reason

I'm really into drum and bass and dub step lately.
Plus I liked the original of this so win win <333

Biffy Clyro - Many of Horror

This is perhaps one of my personal favourites in their current album. I don't normally listen to Biffy Clyro that much, but they've earned a place in my iPod. The song itself is rather gorgeous and sung extremely well by Simon Neil. The use of guitar expectedly, is a big focus and it's been done really well in this song. The lyrics are touching and beautiful as well. I'm keeping my eyes more open for this band.

Broken Social Scene - Broken Social Scene

A gloriously messy album from the Canadian collective, it has a ramshackle feel to it and seems to veer along close to losing control at times. But it always stays just on the right side of things and it's great fun to listen to. And the final track is brilliant, almost ten minutes and going for the big finish, it elevates the whole album like a great final track can often do.
