with seymore being the main boss like apart frm sin n yu yevon. i mean compare him to sephrioth. plz post ur opinions here cheeerz

Not as Good as sephiroth but a load better than Ultimecia and slightly better than Kuja and Kefka - seymour was awesome! and it was unique and interesting to see a villain use diplomatic immunity.

I agree about him ebign better then Kuja, he was more of a threat IMO then he was.

How can you compare Seymore with Sephiroth? I mean there in two different games, but I think that Seymoore was a pretty decent baddie.

Why not? Everyone compares the heroes of FF, why not the villians? And why rush to Sephiroths aid? We also compared him to Kuja and Kefka?

Better than Sephiroth.

Absolutely! Sephiroth was gay and an awful villain. He reminds me of a depressed emo and ZOMG BUT HE LIEK HAS DE BIG SHARP SWORD!!!!

Sephiroth was just a whiny emo who wanted to destroy the earth because he wasn't supposed to be a part of it. Big who cares.

Seymour was actually quite evil, after bumping off his father and basically emotionally blackmailing Yuna into marrying him and convincing her to use him to beat Sin, he wanted to cause terror and destruction. He was ambitious and malevolent.

He was a great villain imo. Just an awful boss fight.

thank u df10 seymore was a puff and sephiroth was awsome he totally rocked and should be in more ff games seymore was also a homo sexual he was obviously a closeter and only wanted to marry yuna for a cover up and to become sin yada yada yada

To try and salvage the topic, Seymour wasn't a horribly bad character overall. I thought he lacked the manical-ness that some of the other FF villians had. Granted he was insane and felt the world needed to be destroyed to make it whole again... but he just didn't seem all that threatening to me. He kind of had the same impression on me as when my kid sister gets real mad and says she's going to beat me up. I just don't see it happening... she's barely over 100 pounds. lol It's just not very threatening, no matter how mean she says it.

As for the design of the guy, thought it was really good if his voice was different. The voice was easily the worst part about him. Everything else though, except maybe the potbelly, was good. That includes the hair, although it was not spikey.

well that was one really long sentance XD

Now Seymour is my 3rd favourite FF villain so i feel compelled to defend him here.

Just because he has a campish voice doesnt make him a "homo sexual" (its all one word btw) nor a "closeter" - in the japanese version he had a rough manly voice so i think it was a case of miscasting the voice actor.

besides he was clearly obsessed with yuna - and if you paid attention to the storyline he didnt want to marry yuna to "cover up" he wanted to marry her so that they'd have a bond strong enough so that he could defeat sin as the final aeon - and i think that to make their bond that strong they would have had to sleep together.

And as for the ridiculus suggestion of Sephiroth being in any more FF games.....well for one - He's Dead. and two -

Ever heard of "Too much of a good thing?"

thats why characters like sephiroth and beatrix rock - you only use them/see them for short periods of time each time - if you saw them more often they would become really stale and boring.

He was an alright villian. He just didn't really feel that evil so I wasn't enthuiastic about fighting him. He also seemed a bit pointless towards the end, especially when you fight him last.

Yea, at the end of the game he's more like a clingie ex-girlfriend than a final boss. You just want to go "Listen, Seymour, we had some good times. We really did... but it didn't work out. Just... go home, ok? It's over between us. Go find someone new."

Raptorg, don't spam.

Seymour was awesome. However, I think the battle should have only went 3 times instead of 4. I'd say the first tiem you face him, then on Gagazet, and then in SIn were good times, but that other time (not even sure here it's at), I just got sick of fighting him like Aztec said. His intentions, motives, actions were all great and he was a great villain. Cool style, great appearance, gotta love the sadistic voice; very unique.

mmm yea he had a nice voice. very smooth, it made him sound more dangerous lol. but i think he was beta then yu yevon tho. because u dislike him as a person ratha then killin a floaty ball thingy

i did NOT spam... i was simmply comparing him with Yazoo...

Expand more on it man. It's a forum and a forums meant for continued discussion.

If you make a post, put your reasons and opinions into it as well. "Yazoo tbh..." is spam and says absolutely nothing meaningful with regards to the topic at hand. Make it more than 2 words in your post to make it an actual quality post.

y'know i think i agree with you guys - we should have only had to fight seymour 3 times, the second time you fight him - in Bevelle after the Via purifico - it did seem a little random and wasn't as powerful as the rest of his forms - so that was the only time seymour disapointed me.

i definately agree with aztec and i like the comparison.seymore did NOT want to deafeat sin as the final aeon he wanted to BECOME sin.two completely different things.
