what a sad ending

On a personal level, it is sad for Yuna, Rikku Wakka etc.
However, the personal sadness is compensated by the fact that they have made the world a better place

yeah i think that the ending is sad for yuna as well but also all the way through the game its like romeo and juliet cause its a tale of love and loss

Definitely, especially when Auron died. I did not want him to go, despite the fact he was already an Unsent. He made me cry. Damn you Auron :(

i found it funny that Tidue turned out to be a dream like thing and Yuna fell in love with him lol@her, but i did think it was sad that the Aeons had to be taken from the world, i think Anima or Bahamut could have come in handy against Vegnagun at the end of X-2

Ah it was well sad, I cried like a big girls blouse. I was more cut up by Auron being sent than I was Tidus fading, but I still pretty much bawl from that point on til it finishes :monster:

Definately one of the sadder games I have ever experienced >_<

Hm, I think it was kind of sad. Both Auron and Tidus was lost, and you could see how it effected the others characters. So in that way, it was sad.

I liked the scene where Tidus made a "High Five" to Jecht right after he jumped though.

The story of FFX didn't necessarily effect me emotionaly, but it was a sad ending. It was very well written and like someone has already stated, it was a story of love and loss, right to the end.

i found it funny that Tidue turned out to be a dream like thing and Yuna fell in love with him lol@her, but i did think it was sad that the Aeons had to be taken from the world, i think Anima or Bahamut could have come in handy against Vegnagun at the end of X-2

It wasn't so much the Aeons were taken from the world. It was the fact that Sin had been completely destroyed so there was no need for the Fayths anymore seeing as there would be no more pilgrimages.

Ah, yeah, I felt sad too at the ending. Auron's "death" didn't both me too much since I wasn't surprised that it happened; unsents can't stay in the world unfortunately >__<

When Yuna ran after and through Tidus and fell down, I felt a twinge of sympathy for her. I mean, she fell so hard, and you know Tidus want's to stay behind for her sake.

However, the sequel game where Tidus came back (well, if you meet the requirements) kind of pissed me off; FFX should have ended where it did 'cause the sequel kind of trivializes the emotional ending of FFX.

"Oh no, Tidus is gone forever :("

"Don't worry; he comes back after 2 years ^^"

You know what I mean?

I played and finished FF 12 late, so I played all the while knowing that there was gonna be a sequel.

But I still felt bad after Auron was sent. I was,
"Great. There goes my best character."

Yes, I totally agree, it was a very very sad ending. Of course, I had the ending spoiled for me and I pretty much knew what was going to happen - but still, it really struck me in a bitter sweet, tragic light. Imagine going through something like that! You're soon to disappear -completely. And then you Attempt to embrace, the one you love, and you're not even being able to do that! Wow. I have to say: The tears flowed. What got me the most was the music - absolute masterpiece, that. Without that beautiful music, the scene just wouldn't have had as much power, to me.

One thing that even made me cry. Not alot of things that can do that. I like emotional endings to games.
I saw Yuna's courage and perseverance as admirable. And yes, the music definitely made it more emotional.

what made it sad was when yuna phased right through him and fell ;_; and when she said i love you to him *sob* definitely saddest ending ever. seeing someone you love go away (for what you think is forever) right infront of your eyes is very painful...man, now i'm getting all teary!

Can you please make your post more clear? Netspeak makes posts a bit confusing to understand.

yes that is sad, its like seeing your true love go away just like that. but i have to admit tidus really never existed at the beginning of the game. but when sin transfered him to spira he was at the right time at hense where he met yuna and their joueney of finding more about each other began. when the day they kissed was when they pledged their love for each other. and i literally started balling when tidus dissipeared. and when yuna couldn't bear that she lost the love of her life.

I reacon that the end of FF10 was a serious let down compaired to the rest of the storyline but I do think that it suited the game but it could have easily improved it with a happy ending.

Oh my good I don't beleive I just posted this, for heaven's sake I'm a guy.

Well it is sad but it was, one of the greatest ending actually. also you would kinda expect that when the Fayth speaks with Tidus.

it was a really sad ending1 i came close to tears atually. then a saw tidus swimming after the credits and thought "shit, there's gonna be a sequel."...think we all know how that went.
