what a sad ending

First at first , FFX is the best story
and the end of story was so great and beautiful
But unfortunately , FFX2 made the story stupid
Why Tidus back to Yuna
It's better to keep the story like what it is
Yuna became a crazy girl …
I liked her when she was a quiet and nice girl
if they want to continue the story
better to make a movie
like FFVII Advent Children
may be it will be better
I didn't like the FFX2

In a way i agree with u there, auron...

Yuna in FFX was so dynamic and self-reliant even with Tidus around and the ending was interesting, albeit on the sad side of things...

However, they changed her so drastically in X-2 until she became something like a popstar instead of the more demure version of her in X... It is very movie-like, in my opinion... And hahaha, Yuna really became like some crazynut in X-2...

Which is why my favorite version of her has to be the Summoner in X...

I think, if they did end up together it would of ruined FFX, well the ending for that.

Because that's what made the ending so good. All though the game your thinking Tidus and Yuna make a good couple i really hope they make it together. But then you find out the Tidus isn't real and his just a dream.

IMO the saddest part of the ending is where
Auron
dies .

Well .. Auon died before that .. Lady Yunalecka killed him
and he was unsent ..
It's a sad .. just like what you said
but that what make the story very beautiful
Auron's end was the greatest end of FF Characters
and that what make him like a legend

I think if yuna in x-2 was he daughter
it will be better:D

That's so true... And i guess Auron's "actual" passing is also quite a sad moment there, when everyone found out that he was actually an unsent...:'(

Hahaha, if Yuna were his daughter, that would make things more interesting in X-2 eh...:P

I agree with all of you. The story in FFX was very good(i played it like 100 times). The end was really sad. In FFX2 the stroy was really off. Its like it took a vacation somewhere. Has anyone beaten it?

The ending of FFX was absolutely sad. It was an emotional moment for me, probably the biggest one I had for just one single game ending.
I strongly intended on changing the ending. It revealed so much sadness connected to the game. There was probably too much emotional moments in the game, which warned me that the ending might not be as happy as you can think.
Still, I believed this ending of FFX was the best and the saddest one of all of the FF Series.

i've heard that FFX-2 had a happy ending if u beat with 100% but i never bothered because i really didn't like the game and i only played it to play blitzball

At least this bad end (maybe more that bad) is after a great game. FFX-2 may have a better end, but you don't want to play the game till then to see it. I wish there were a third FFX game on DS or Wii with FFX characters, Aeons, level up system, etc. And by characters, I mean Tidus, Auron and Yuna from FFX (My God... FFX-2 Yuna is no way Yuna!!!!). In a few words, play FFX and accept this sad end or mail Square to make FFX-3!!!

It was a sad ending, but wonderful nonetheless.
I think they ruined that by bringing out X-2, but I love its FMVs and music so I'm glad they did... :P
They actually created X-2 'cause fans complained I read. Apparently many felt the ending was not suitable and
wanted Tidus
to come back so the creators decided to create a game in which that was possible.
Which might explain why X-2 has near to no story.

Edit: And there are 5 endings...

Bad ending -

You lose the final battle.
Normal ending -
You only see the FMV with
the speech, where the leaders of Spira agree to co-operate.
Sad ending -
Yuna decides to keep Tidus as a dream, and doesn't choose to have him come back to life.
You have to press X after the final battle when Yuna walks into the farplane to get this ending.
Good ending -
You have to do many silly things to get this one! Like talk to certain people at certain points in certain chapters. >_< As well as obtaining a certain % of completion. AND pressing X in the farplane after the final battle.
In this one though, Tidus comes back.
Perfect ending -
Indeed, you have to get 100%! In this ending,
Yuna and Tidus talk at the farplane, and Yuna pushes Tidus into the water to show him that he won't disappear.
:P

Myself i'm tired of games that end and say "well now the game is over everything is perfect, goodbye"
It's part of why i loved 7 and X.
Aeris, Tidus and Auron didn't come back.
Tidus and Auron shouldn't exist in the X Spira.
Sad endings do not need to lead to sequels, The world doesn't need to be perfect just because the game is over.

I very much agree. I thought Xs end was quite artistic and it made me remember it more 'cause it wasn't cliche. :/
But, alas, people want the happy one. =P
I DID like Tidus coming back, but, since I learnt about Final Fantasy after X-2 was released, the end of X didn't have a lot of impact. :/ I could still appreciate it though.

I completed this game on my birthday, and it made me cry, no-one should cry on their birthday dammit!!

Anyway yeah I don't think they should have brought in X-2 because it just wasn't right, Yuna was totally different and the story was a load of rubbish. And the reunion on the good ending wasn't that great in my opinion.

X-2 was a happy ending, althuogh I didn't like that game, the battle system was annoying, and to be honest the story was boring compared to X.
It was a sad ending though, I almost cried... and it takes a lot on mushy scenes to make me cry. :(
