What are you currently reading?

I like Salvatore's takes on Star Wars... He handled 'Prime Vector' and 'Episode 2: Attack of the Clones' both of which I read recently.

I haven't read any of his Star Wars books >_< My favorite authors so far have been Kevin J. Anderson, Timothy Zahn and K. W. Jeter.

What's Prime Vector anyway? Like in what timeline? I plan on picking up the Republic Commando books at some point...probably after I finish I Am Legend and The Odyssey.

Prime Vector is the very first book in the 'New Jedi Order' timeline.

Vector Prime is based 21 years after ROTJ.

Currently reading Dune by Frank Herbert, it's my favourite novel of all time so I'm of course enjoying it.

At the moment... I'm rereading Bloody Jack for about the fiftieth time, The Odyssey for school, and--assuming fanfic counts, which it does in my book--The Jenova Project novelization of FFVII. I hath fallen in love with it. ♥

Reading 'Ender's Game' by Orson Scott Card, awesome book, I recommend it to any Sci-fi buff.

I borrowed Memoch the Devil by Anne Rice and The Castle by Franz Kafka recently. I play to read them over the break. I have high hopes for Memoch, I haven't been really drawn into an Anne Rice since I read the Vampire Lestat.

I hope it'll be a good one.

Enders Game is fucking brilliant and I'd second the recommendation. Speaker for the Dead is another I'd suggest reading, different from Enders but no less brilliant. Have you read Xenocide yet? Some mixed reviews of how good it is to the first two Ender books.

I'm reading a pretty weird book written by myself :P slol
Still don't have a name for it.

In a more serious way, I've finished reading the 'Wind Singer' and I'm reading a book by C.S Louis. I can't remeber the name. It's about a boy who has been abducted by aliens. He tries to get out of the airship but he fails. I'm not gonna say any more couse it might spoil everything

Right now, I'm reading Blood: the last vampire. I picked it up from the book store just yesterday and I'm on chapter 2. ^.^

I also picked up a new book called Aurelia's colors!

We're talking about actual books in this thread, not manga. Manga ≠ literature

Yar, see that's a book.

I finished I Am Legend. I'm working on the first book of the Thrawn Trilogy in my Star Wars novels, Heir to the Empire.

It's not manga. If you ever laid eyes on the book instead of acting like a know it all, you would know that it's a 300 page novel that's based on the movie which inspired the anime.
It's not a picture book you idiot.

I have laid eyes on the book. I saw it in the manga sections at bookstores and it has an animu cover, therefore I thought it was manga :monster:

I'm currently rereading my Edgar Allan Poe Complete Tales and Poems. I just ordered The Princess Bride and The Neverending Story from Amazon and I can't wait for them to get here. *dances*

I would've picked them up from the local Barnes and Noble but I'm avoiding any and all shopping centers until after the new year. >_<

It was in the sci-fi/fantasy section.
Follow your own advice and don't judge a book by it's cover.

VengefulRonin, quit it. If Rhea is reading manga, a book, whatever then it's not your problem.

If you guys want to yell at each other then keep it outside of the forums.

The Princess Bride is good but it's been ages since I've read it. As for The Neverending Story.....the movie was weird, I'm afraid the book might be weirder.

Speaking of weird books, I should read Through the Looking Glass...I read Alice In Wonderland but stopped after that. There's a really old book I have with both in it, it's hiding in our book room I think.

Aww.... T__T

I got some more books for Christmas to add to the mountain which I have yet to read. Also got a book from a friend called 'Always go to bed on an argument' but I had a little look at it and I don't think it's a novel. Anywho, I'm about to start reading How to be Good by Nick Hornby.

My mom dug up J. R. R. Tolkien's book The Children of Hurin this morning. Apparently it was supposed to be a Christmas or birthday present from god knows when, and she lost the thing xD So that's what I'm reading now.

Tolkien >>>>>> Harry Potter. Superior writing, superior stories, superior characters, superior talent.
