What Are You NOT Loking Forward To In The Final Fantasy X Remaster?

Blitzball.

It's the only thing I don't like about FFX, besides that none of the sidequests bother me much, with the exception of finding specific enemies for capturing and them never turning up.

The chocobo race, butterfly hunt or dodging the 200 strikes don't bother me nowhere near as much as Blitzball does. I just find it boring. Besides that I'm rather excited to see this. (y)

Platinum-ing FFX on the PS3 would be a dream come true... but honestly... the Chocobo racing, lightning dodging and butterfly catching better be simplified/toned down if there's a trophy to go along with those >.< Maybe instead of 200 Lightning bolts they could be sparing and reduce it to like... 50, and do similar things to the other pain in the ass minigames D:
Man, I'm hoping that this is going to be one long, insane platinum :D

I made up my own trophy list for FFX HD and I think my one would be hard o_O

I never bothered with the side quests like catching butter flies and dodging lightning, I probably won't bother with it again because I don't have the patience for it. So the things I will look forward to the least is probably the cruddy voice acting, playing through that game, listening to Tidus all over again is going to be a pain :damon:

I also hated Rikku in that game so having to look at her again is also not something I am pleased about.

There is but one thing that haunts my nightmares (hah hah hah!) One thing that continues to drift in the back of my mind never fully letting go (hah! hah! hah! hah!) ever spinning circles in my mind, causing many sleepless nights and I hear it, growing louder... (Hah! Hah! Hah!) Louder... (HAH! HAH! HAH! HAH!) LOUDER!

DIE YOU WHORE! *pulls out handgun and shoots Tidus repeatedly in the face*
.............

Seriously though there isn't much I'm not looking forward to. I just want to see how everything looks with the upgrades. I'll probably be limited to just watching pictures or trailers since well, I don't have a PS3, don't have the money for a PS3 and probably won't be getting a PS3 any time soon.

Ayen: This is going to be released for the PS Vita, as well, so if you are planning to swing getting one of those, you should still be able to play it. :3

But if not, sorry you'll be unable to play it... I am definitely really excited about this, it is in my top 3 favourite Final Fantasy games (the main ones, not including any Tactics, Dissidia, etc.), so the day I found out about this was quite a good one indeed.

I do wonder if the gameplay will see any changes... On a random note, I never did come close to dodging 200 bolts of lightning, but I did try...for too long. <_<

I'm definitely not looking forward to getting the celestial weapons especially the 200 lightning dodges and the butterfly catcher thing but if I get the game then I probably wont do those ones it was a real pain :gonk:. Tidus weapon wasn't that bad you just need a bit of luck and skill.

I feel reasonably sure

they'll have Penance and the Dark Aeons in the remastered version.
Why would NA fans bother buying it otherwise ?

Not looking forward to the lightning dodge and the chocobo race. The butterfles were a pain but doable. The others were a bitch.:hal:

In all truth, everything about the game besides the battle system is complete and utter garbage. As I always say, you can forgive a lot in a bad game if the story is compelling, this time however, the story of the whinny nasally-voiced, cry-baby, failed attempt at Leonardo Dicaprio, brainless moron known as Tidus is absolute garbage. Clearly devised for the emotional and weak minded fan base that loved FFVIII....

With absolute dread the side quests for me were the bane of my existence, however just to make the game last and not end so fast, as I sometimes don't bother with side quests, I would do them whether I wanted to or not. I would try a side quest over and over again, no matter how much I wanted to smash my controller into the wall just so I could get it. I'm looking forward to the remastered version though only because FFX was the very first Final Fantasy that I played. Yeah I was a late bloomer and didn't know the existence of the others before it, my husband however got my VII so I'm about to begin playing that on top of playing XIII. Back on track the worst side quest on the game to me was that stupid Chocobo Race, I wanted to kill the adorable creature.

I'm not to fond of the side quests to the get the sigils and crests for the celestial weapons either, but I suppose it's gotta be done.

-Dodging lightning
-Wakka in general
-Any side quests (They just drive me up a wall)
-Tidus' laugh (Oi!)

Cloister of Trials. Tidus's voice. Waka in HD. Seymor in HD. That Otherwold song(had no buisness being in a FF game and soundtrack). The chocobo game. Dodging lightning. all the crap you have to go through to get Anima.

That just about sums it up ^_^ especially the part about Tidus. But it's not just him, it's all the characters! I just cannot find anything endearing about any of them! Plus it doesn't help that I didn't like the story either. The entire thing was a bit too girly for my taste. Felt like I was playing a ten year old's barbie game at times.

Oh, and I am going to try to ignore your little jab at FFVIII at the end...

I absolutely love X but I am dreading the cloister of trials and Blitzball. Those two 'minigames' were utterly frustrating! :gasp: To think I am going to have to spend a total of 5 hours (roughly) on those. *shudders* I am also not looking forward to Seymour... I absolutely hate his voice, his appearance and his personality. Although the battles against him are fun and varied, the fact it's Seymour makes my blood boil. :lew:

The battle system and Sphere Grid are two things I'm actually looking forward to! :yay: When I started X, I just didn't understand them. Now that I do, I feel I'd like to set myself a challenge: using the complex Sphere Grid! I've been pining for X ever since I heard it was being remastered in HD. If it weren't for my looong list of unfinished games, I'd probably give in and play the PS2 version. :ahmed:

I am still a bit sceptical on the game as a whole, cause if it is the same game again just looks better on HD screens then I won't bother as I have it already on PS2. If it is more...then I will not look forward to the Lucas 'HA HA HA HA HAAAA' bit once more, some of the cloister of trials. Dark Aeons.....and Seymour on the mountain (That is the only annoying version of him).

That's another thing I'm not looking forward too either. Initially a lot of people thought it would be a remake, and I was somewhat hopeful because there is a lot of potential for improvement; but since I found out that they are only remastering it I can't help but feel 'what's the point?'. For me a game is more than just pretty landscapes and good looking characters on a screen, I tend to focus more on the story it's characters because, well, it's an RPG. Isn't that what they are supposed to be? And I think that's what made the old games so great, simple stories with a variety of great, memorable characters. And because I don't think X, story and character wise, has much to offer, I don't really see the point in a remastered version.
