What are your TV addictions?

American Dad, Family Guy, The Cleveland Brown Show, Survivor: Heroes vs. Villains, Fairly Odd Parents, Spongebob Squarepants, CSI: Miami.

[Mod Edit: Can you please elaborate more on your posts in post count sections. Listing the names of the T.V shows isn't enough for a post in a post count section. You need to give reasons as to why you're addicted to them as the original poster asked. Thank you.]

Whoops. Sorry about that.
Ok here goes...

Seth Mcfarlane is a good writer. I used to be a fan of the Simpsons and Futurama and Southpark, but I think Mcfarlane's type of humor suited my taste better.

I haven't watched Survivor since season 2, a ga-bajillion years ago. I just happened to catch this season as it started, and I'm the type of guy who likes to finish what he started, knowing that a Survivor Season consists of around 13 ++ episodes.

CSI is the closest thing I have on this list to a serious "to-follow-show". I didn't want my list to compose purely of entertainment based shows.

Now about the two nick entries on my list - I think Spongebob is Shinryu, and I think Cosmo and Wanda should have been the heads of the opposing factions in Dissida.

At the moment my T.V addiction is most definitely True Blood!

It's all I seem to be going on about lately. XD

The whole story is so intriguing!

It's much more than just Vampires after the first season, though Vampires are still the main centre of attention.

Sookie, Pam and Lafayette are my favourite characters by far. >.<

I actually got out of my tv life late last year however I recently just started watching tv again but remember I stopped watching, the only things i watch now are WWE RAW,WWE Smackdown,Big Brother,Jersey Shore, I stopped watching this but yeah I watched Icarly alot. basically any new reality show that looks like something i might see, challenges seems like it may be good and the bad girls club (POP OFF!!!! sorry its a quote from the show and i always think of it when i hear bad girls club lol )

However Im certainly taking an interest to 2 Broke girls I dont know her name but the only reason i wanan see it is cause I like that one girl, its not the blonde but the brunette and ive seen her in alot of stuff, its the only reason i wana see it xD

I'm not really 'addicted' to anything on TV anymore... I used to be addicted to The Moomins, The Simpsons, and Futurama. I couldn't get enough of the latter two... I'd watch the DVDs again and again, and buy them the day the came out...

I sometimes get into a new series and then become addicted to watching it from start to finish. In the past year that has happened with Everwood and Desperate Housewives.

now it's mad men, but i've watched all four seasons and i just want more. :rage: it's so stylishly made, it almost has a feel that it was made in the 80s (mostly in the way it sounds). there isn't really a big story arc to a series, which is risky but fresh.

It's at this point that I realize that I have actually grown out of my television addiction phase, and don't really watch that much television anymore. For the life of me, I'm not sure why, except that I'm obscenely busy all of the time.

Up until recently, I was addicted to the show House since Hugh Laurie is amazing, and my dad also loves the show and it was a way for us to have some father-son bonding. The first three seasons of House, in my little old opinion, are the best that the series had to offer. Haven't really been feeling House lately the last couple of years, though I'll give the next season another shot.

Strangely enough, my television addictions that I do have lately have been old television shows from the 1970's like All in the Family and Sanford and Son. If I see them on TV Land, I'll definitely sit down and watch them. They are hilarious, epic hilarity even, and boy do I love them.

There are only 2 TV shows that I actually need to watch every time it comes out. Sadly, they both are in the same season :rage:

Glee
and
The Office

Best. 2. TV. Shows. Ever :reptar:
Sadly there are many Glee haters here :sad3:

I also loooooove Pretty Little Liars :britt:
Sexy Beast I only just got into it but seriously, I luuuuurve it. So, I guess that's three ^_^

It's really funny watching movies with scenes that involve dumb individuals like some conversations between police and a dumb criminal. Just recently, I've read about a Couple arrested for trying to take friend back to jail. A Florida couple, who bailed their buddy out of prison a week before, tried to return her to jail when they found she was still using drugs. The couple found themselves in jail for false imprisonment when the plan backfired.

:hmmm: for me it's:

Flight of the Conchords (damn you conor) I am so obsessed with this tv show that I got all the music from it and have been constantly listening to it in the car every day. I've also watched it twice now.

Vampire Diaries: I love, love, love this show. Don't ask me why, it's lame i know but I just love it to death and could watch it multiple times.

Game of Thrones: Love this series to death, only one season out so far but I've watched it multiple times, one day I sat there and watched ep 1 - 10 in a row. It was worth it

My TV addictions change all the time, depending on what's on at what time of the year. Since it's coming on again, it has to be The Vampire Diaries. Not only does it have some yummy delicious guys in it, but it has everything else I love: twists, turns, deep storylines, comedy and plenty of action!

I tend to watch Netflix more than I watch regular TV. :hmm:

There are a few shows that the partner watches which I can't seem to avert my eyes from whenever they're on. Breaking Bad and Sons of Anarchy are among the best of them. I've never been interested in biker gangs or cooking crystal meth, but the acting and the storylines are so good that you'll get interested.

I was heavily addicted to Battlestar Galactica for a while; it was my 'workout show', or something that would hold my attention while I walked at sumthin' of a slow pace at a high incline on the treadmill. ;)
I fell out of it somewhere in the last season after I Googled the ending and ruined the suspense. :oy:

I try to catch Dragonball Z every Saturday morning. :wacky:

I love watching TV and I remember I got addicted to...
CSI: New York, Las Vegas, and Miami
Grey's Anatomy
Lost
Prison Break

but since I do not have much time to watch the episodes on TV I have to buy the DVD's which is great since I get to do a TV series marathon whenever I can.

Awkward: We have already watched both seasons and are waiting for season three to hurry up and come out in April! I watched nearly all of Season 1 in one afternoon and then rewatched it so that Steve could catch up with me. >.<

Once Upon A Time:
Definitely my most favourite by far. I have a few episodes to catch up on but I really hope the series doesn't come to an end at the end of Season 2. One more Season at least would be awesome!

Revenge:
So awesome! So many of my friends/family say, "I don't know. It doesn't look that great." Stuff you! It is awesome! Go back and read your True Blood books for the tenth time and be that way then! It is awesome and that is all there is to it.
Luckily I have normal people at work who love and appreciate this series. <3

Housos: Have watched the first season two or three times now and love it! Watched the movie twice too. Can't wait for season 2 to come out. It had better have more than nine episodes though!

lately it's been game of thrones and breaking bad. i watched the whole of the second series of game of thrones in about two days when it was released on blu-ray. i can't wait for series 3, but i'm going to hate watching it weekly.
i caught up with breaking bad since they had series 4 and 5 on netflix. i went through it all in about a week or so, and now i have to wait until the summer to get it all finished. :sad3: i haven't enjoyed 4 as much as 4 because it feels a little anti-climactic, but i like that they're tying up the loose ends

For fuck sake, i typed a massive post and shock horror....!!!!!

Community
Game of Thrones
Walking Dead
Jack's Smirking Revenge, if you havent already you should really check out Community!!

I enjoyed breaking bad, but i couldnt get into it, if that makes sense....

About the only ones I can think of that I compulsively have to watch are Doctor Who and Supernatural.

I had been meaning to try Doctor Who for years, but finally gave it a chance over Christmas break. I'm about 3 episodes off of catching completely up to the new one next Saturday (which I can't watch because of my ignorant cable company refusing to carry BBC America :rage: ). I think the stories are brilliantly and cleverly written, and the emotional moments can really get to you. It's just all-around fantastic.

As for Supernatural...:lew: I couldn't really begin to explain what's going on cause I'm still figuring it out for myself. They're like trying to close the gates of hell or something and Dean's died like a million times...oh and Castiel....is like this angel watching over them and has issues of his own and there's this weird tension between him and Dean (which is honestly why I started it cause I have friends who go on and on about DESTIEL DESTIEL and I wanted to know.) Now I almost wish I never learned, but I like it. :lew:

Recently I've been watching quite a few:

Revenge: I wasn't too fond of this season until the recent episodes premiered. Despite the camp-ness of the show and the many, unnecessarily funny, overly dramatic, script lines this show is fun. I like to see how Emily Thorn just takes out her rich enemies one by one for her little revenge mission.

Game of Thrones: Best show ever. I can't stop loving the series and the books just get me all hot and bothered waiting for the next season which needs to hurry up and premier like, now.

The Walking Dead: Its such an entertaining show, and it's recent episodes have been surprisingly amazing and well done. It's better than most zombie movies and manages to keep the characters and story moving along with great suspense and character relationships.

Community: It's kind of fun. I've been watching it for years and I just love the characters, and wacky episodes.

Suburgatory: I only love this show because of it's suburban stereotypes. I've witnessed so many people acting like the characters in the show(without the behavior exaggerations) and I cant help but laugh.

Happy Endings: I love everything about this show. Witty script, tons of references, and relatable characters. The ridiculous of the show is also really fun even though it's not everyone's taste in humor. I also like how they portray the gay character realistically instead of making him some fashionista stereotype.

Supernatural: I only watch this for my undying love of Jensen Ackles. The show kind of lost it's supernatural spark for me a while ago and isn't nearly as scary/creepy as it used to be. Also the plot seems to be just going everywhere and there's many redundant elements coming into it.
I have friends who go on and on about DESTIEL DESTIEL and I wanted to know.) Now I almost wish I never learned, but I like it. :lew:
Oyus Destiel is hawt :tehe: And way better than Wincest. I mean that's just ew.-_-

Right now it is Shameless (US version). I love how absurdly funny it is while stile offering up some quality drama every now and then. And of course Game of Thrones just started again, so that is up there too. I am also rewatching Rome for Mars knows which time. That show will never get old to me. The production values, the acting, and the writing is just ridiculously amazing throughout the entire thing and it deserved to run for way longer than the 2 seasons it got.
