What game did you buy last?

Last game I bought was Castlevania: The Dracula X Chronicles for the PSP.

I never played any of the Castlevania games, and when I saw someone play the older game on their 360 (virtual arcade, right?), I thought it looked pretty kewl. Haven't played a side-scroller in such a long time (seriously, I think Mario was the last one I played D=) so I got interested. I'm so used to RPGs with the command imput, it felt wierd at first to be playing a restrictive and simple battle system, but I'm getting used to it. From what I understand, it's actually an old game that didn't get released outside Japan until only a few years ago, so it has a nice retro feel to it. It's really kewl ^^

I bought Alan Wake this afternoon...it was in a sale at GAME. Well, I'd hardly call £30 a sale price, but its £10 off the RRP, and I have needed a new 360 game for a while now...

I just picked up Red Dead Redemption yesterday and spent about three hours playing it. The game is insanely addictive. I haven't even tried single player mode yet. The online multiplayer is a lot of fun though. :lew:

I just bought Assassin's Creed II. It seems like a pretty good game, however, I've never played the first. I've seen that the second one has higher reviews and such, so I'm expecting it to be good.

I love how Desmond's voice is also the voice of Nathan Drake. :lew: It makes it kind of funny listening to him, and how he acts. I can tell I'm going to like these characters.

WET, again. :wacky: I returned it last time because I wasn't really all that interested in it, and to be honest with you, I think I was a much shittier gamer the first time I bought this. So I returned it because it was a bit difficult and not all that interesting.

Now, there aren't that many games out that I want and since this game already had been installed into my PS3, I figured why not. I can also go for some of the trophies in this game as well.

I sent my sister to get Red Dead Redemption today, but amazingly, it's still completely sold out. :gonk: I will get it eventually, although I'm not desperate for it.

So instead I got Just Cause 2 for about £30. I needed something to fill in my need for an open sandbox game - and seeing as RDR was out of stock, this was the alternative to it for now. I've been playing the demo for a couple of months and it has had me hooked.

All I'm doing in the game at the moment is just blowing up Panauan water towers and gas stations while practising headshots on the police. I don't like how the smallest of actions send the police hurtling at you in 5 seconds. Still, Panau is a huge location and I'm just delighted to be able to explore more than that little bit from the demo now. xD

I just bought an NDS off my brother and got Super Mario Bros and Pokemon Diamond with it.

Not sure if I'll like them as yet. I'll give them a go and if I don't like them my little brother will have them. No not the same brother. I have two. >.<

Surprisingly I think I'll like the Pokemon one more. XD

Mass Effect 2

I actually wasn't really looking for something to buy today, but EB Games had marked all games in the store down to 1/2 price, so I just couldn't resist.

The King of Fighters 2006(PS2) and Soul Calibur 3(PS2). Both games I managed to get for 10 dollars. I can't say much about either one yet since but I will say this. Both games have a very good OST. While I am not a major KoF fan, I am glad they brought back a lot of my favorites. Especially since the roster always changes and some characters always gets left out.

I walked into GAME yesterday...ended up walking out with the Metroid Prime trilogy on the Wii. Admittedly, I already have all three games (the first two on the Gamecube, and the third on the Wii) but Echoes (my favourite) is broken - the Spiderball glitches in the second half of the Quadraxis fight...when you need the Spiderball to kill it - and my memory cards for the Gamecube are in complete disarray right now...it was only £20, and all three of them have Wii controls. I just bought it on impulse, and because the Prime trilogy (not counting that pile of garbage Hunters on the DS) is awesome.

I got Red Dead Redemption about a week ago. :ryan: I only played it the day I picked it up for a few hours. It was a lot of fun playing multiplayer though. Maybe I'll get a chance to play it again when I get some time. Who knows, I may actually take the time to start playing one player some time soon as well. :lew:

I just bought Dead Space for Ps3 for only 14 euro's, its cheap as hell, had to buy it, dead space intrigued me after hearing so many positive things about it. I love horror. RE, SH,FEAR etc.

Just downloaded flOw from the PlayStation Store.

Really interesting game. I typically wouldn't have bought something like this, but I had some extra money in my account so I figured why not. It's got an arcade-ish feel, at least so far.

I last bought... Final Fantasy IV for the DS. I've been stuck to it like glue for the past few weeks and it's so enjoyable. Going back to Final Fantasy basics is awesome, and I really like the game. It's got quite a bland plot, and the characters are so-so, but I have yet to get far in it. I love the little movie scenes where they speak, and it's good graphics for a DS, but the DS can do much more... :hmmm:

Lost for £3.50. I like the TV series, so thought for £3.50 its not a bad price. Before that I also got Resonance of Fate and Red Dead Redemption.

Final Fantasy IX from the PlayStation Store.

One of the few FF's I've not played, and this one I'm told is one really worth playing. xD

I haven't even started it yet, it's still downloading actually, but I'm pretty excited to get started. I've been waiting to get this forever, and now that it's finally on PSN, I can just get it through the internet.

I re-bought Ico from Amazon for about £24. Strangely, I can't remember what happened to the old copy I had from years ago - it somehow disappeared never to be seen again.

Anyway, I got Ico again in anticipation for The Last Guardian. I'm replaying it again, although it is a pain to mess around with the wires again just so I can get the PS2 up and running again. It's times like this that I wish the newer PS3 models have full backwards compatibility.

And I remember a criticism I have always had towards Ico and SOTC a few years ago - "Where the heck is everybody?! The world feels so empty!" :lew:

Mario Galaxy 2, and I can't wait to get started on Friday. I've been playing through FF9, from psn too, and 3D Dot Game Heroes (which took forever to find and buy, but was well worth it).

Persona 3 for the PSP, so cant wait for that. Ive been waiting for ages for it <3
Sacred 2 for the 360. I didnt play it as much as Id like, but Im chuffed I got it cheap.
Breath of Fire: Dragon Quarter for the PS2. A rare bargin for £5, mucho happy for it :)
