I try to go for a range or musical styles, and not limit myself to one kind.. But I realy love songs about history and mythology, of any culture, and songs about bizzare concepts, monsters, etc etc.. Rather than songs that scream about love that get a bit repetitive.
 
I see lots of a good bands in here take me back to my metalhead days. Lots of a good poppy/experimental prog toooooo.

I'm a keyboardist/pianist at heart so I like a lot of pianists and melodic death metal bands (Children of Bodom, much?) however because I'm older and a musician now I really like bands like Jimmy Eat World all the way through to bands like Lorene Drive, Scary Kids Scaring Kids The Devil Wears Prada, 3Oh!3 back to my all time fav. NIN.

But I'm just Placebo and Brand New. Bands of the moment for me. But trust me I like EVERYTHING.
