PC World of Warcraft

I'm trying to scrape $40 together so I can buy the damn thing. :wacky:

I am working on leveling a few alts, a mage and another priest on a different realm, as well as my original hunter that I picked back up, and doing a lot of the quest chains in IF and SW just for kicks. They give decent XP for the level.

A lot of banter is floating around on the official wow forums. People seem to think that The Shattering will be taking place this Tuesday. I personally can't wait, it's actually the reason I renewed the subscription on my account.... just about a month early, though.

Been watching a lot of PvP from Beta, I think it's amazing that devs are actually reintroducing survivability into the game. Have a lot of faith in Cataclysm so far, here's hoping it doesn't turn into a snorefest like wotlk endgame :monster:

:gasp: They did say that last Tuesday's patch was the set-up for everything. So that would make sense.

:hmmm: But my gut says we'll have to wait one more week. You know how Blizzard is.

eh I'd honestly be surprised if they didn't drop it this week, the time is pretty ripe. I think people are pretty burnt out from preparing for Cataclysm, and I'm dying to roll a Blood Elf Warrior. :wacky:

but yeessssssss.... we know how blizzard is. even if it does drop, there is probably going to be a lot of extended maintenance. D:

Damn, Cata's comin closer and closer! Makes me wish i kept my sub going instead of pwning my account to a friend.

I use to play a Belf Hunter, Lock Tauren and Nelf drood.

Well if your comp is up to date and you feel like buying a little bit of nostalgia, you can probably get it all for around 100USD. I heard someone say on Black Friday, Target sells World of Warcraft + Burning Crusade Battlechest for 10 bucks, Wrath probably costs 30, pre order for cata is 40, 60 day game cards are 30 or 1 month is 15.

Think new accounts come with a free month of wow when activated, but it's been so long since then haha.

I saw this surface in the wow forums, a SS posted by a user who contacted a GM. =)

Well hot damn. I guess it will be this Tuesday. Too bad I'm going to be in Hatteras all day. -__-

Might have to spend Monday bouncing around Auberdine, Thousand Needles, etc. just for the nostalgia. :hmmm:

It's hitting us Wednesday on the European realms and I'm super excited. Finally I will be able to make a druid of a race that I do not despise the look of :awesome: I'm actually super busy with my research project at the moment, but I think I'll work myself to death tonight and tomorrow morning just so that I can immerse myself in WoW tomorrow night hahaha.

night elf mages are going to be weird. <_<

Tauren Paladins make me sad. Blood Elf warriors might make some people mad. The anticipation is torture, my client still hasn't set up the patch to DL and the PTR's login servers are busy or about to go down. T_T

I remember back when I first played WoW, and I really wanted to play as a Night Elf. Then I found out they couldn't be Mages, and I was sad. :sad3:

So I rolled motherfucking Horde Blood Elf Mage and enjoyed it. (Though, I longed to join the Alliance. :sad3: )

Now, I can have my motherfucking cake and eat that motherfucker too.

why would you want to be a night elf mage anyway xD

their racials are improved stealth dodge chance and shadowmeld... mages not really a sneaky class :wacky:

i mean i have a blood elf hunter, but

I mean it's w/e, but it's kind of an awkward combination. Night Elf Warriors and Hunters are annoying, though. Always hiding in shadowmeld and blowing you the hell up whenever you touch a flag :monster:

Shadowmeld also works as a second vanish for night elf rogues. But if it floats your boat whatever i guess :wacky:

I can safely say that I only want to be a Night Elf because I like the way they look. It'll probably get me killed in PvP left and right in the long run, but I'll find a way to make it work. :wacky:

Oh wow. A WoW thread.

The last time I played I was a Blood Elf Paladin. The time before that I was a Tauren Druid.

I can't wait to try a Tauren Paladin.

My favourite Race + my Favourite class at last? GASP!

Also. Just in case anyone was wondering. I don't like the Alliance. I always join the horde, except when I get curious about the other characters. I'll never main as an Alliance character though. I haven't had any good experiences with them. Like someone(not me) once said, "Everytime you create an aliiance character you kill a puppy. D:" -Nods-

You're never in your regular form if you're a druid anyway. Lol. Well, now that they took out tree form, if you're a druid healer you would be. But otherwise it's bear/cat/boomkin form.

Downloader just grabbed a 27 MB patch update. :hmmm: Doesn't strike me as big enough. But we shall see.

I was. I never played as a shapeshifting one, I pulled the other Druid role. You know, Jack-of-all-trades can do a lot but not good at any. I partially tanked for mages, if they got through warriors, healed to back up priests' healing, buffed, and supported from the back with DoT and attack spells. xD

Remember that really big patch about a month ago? That had a lot of the shattering's data in it.

I believe my patch was about 287 MB and probably merely serves as an unlock to the old world, letting deathwing run wild and set us on fire, and all that kind of stuff.

I don't generally favor the alliance just because of the presentation of character models. Sure they're honorable and everything and sound like better paladins than blood elf paladins.... But... the humans... they're just so huge and most other races look fairly outdated -__________-

Also, server maintenance bumped up. Who can guess how long it's going to take for us to be able to log servers? I've got my money on probably around 9-10 PM EST :awesome:

I just hope the PTR is up for that long. I just did the Welcome to the Machine quest, it was absolutely hilarious.

"yes, that horse IS made of stars." more like tears, but lol

That would make sense, as far as the patch data being in last week's. And yeah, like I said, we all know how Blizzard is. I should get home around 11:30 (EST) tonight, I bet realms aren't up by then. -__-

Yeah.I thought the same thing about their models.

Anyway after reading about the different races, I would rather be the good guys than the bad guys. Other than the Undead, the Blood Elves(some what) and the Goblins(sort of) the Horde has no "bad" guys. Yet the Alliance side paints them as monsters which is evil in it self. And the Humans and Dwarves go into Horde lands and try to take it for themselves, and destroy the land near the Tauren's for treasure. D<

It pisses me off when people say the Alliance are the "good guys". I mean, the Taurens and Orcs aren't even near evil. D:

Besides have you read the history of Night Elves and Worens? D:

Not really a lore nerd.

but I think with Garrosh as Warchief things are going to be a lot more "evil". He's kind of a tit (dont even get me started on his whole emo thing in nagrand), I wish Saurfang was Warchief instead.
