Final Fantasy X-2.

The storyline was just massively over-cheesed and the cheesy quotes that the characters say is just hard to hear/ deal with.

: The way they changed Yuna and Rikku into the most slutty clothing, and acted so - retartedly dumb. Could feel the IQ dropping just listening to them speak..

And don't like how they made the final boss really really easy, and Yuna had to have help from Auron, Seymour, Braska and Jecht ?? - She couldn't fight strong on her own ?

: The music and the opening, The whole teeny-bopper pop concert opening... whhhy ??

Like one person above only played the game for Rikku, only played the game for Baralai.

But played it once, and never want to touch it again.

Never !!

i didn't like ff9's story but it kind of got better until the end when you found out that you are a spacemonkey lol

Final Fantasy Crystal Chronciles. That game as the bain of my excistence. I truly hated the thing with a passion. Such a pointless game and there was no character background, battle system was awful ... it pisses me off knowing I wasted money on it!

Final Fantasy XI Only because it was Online And I dislike Online games And i like all the other Final fantasy's

I don't really add it into the series there is a space between 10-2 And XII :D

i voted for FF8, for some reason i never got into it, and i do agree with all the above FF x-2 posts, it was more of a Girlfriend game

I think the worst one i've played was ff tacrics. I HATE the battle system. It was just like Vandel Hearts, also ive never played ffx-2 before and i havnt played all the ff games so i dont know what it the worst one ut tactics sucked. And Fate watch it im paying FF9 right now.

i said FF1 and FF2. my first FF was 8 and so later when i tried to play the sprite versions of final fantasy, i just couldn't stand it. i managed to get through 3 and 4 because they remade em with 3D graphics even tho the story plots were rather boring.

i found FF3 hard to play. mostly because of the parts were u cant beat the boss to complente a certain part of the game.....mainly the fight against madusa. cant beat that lvl.

Only me and one other has voted Final Fantasy IX...what is it about that game? >_>

I just found it to be boring, and frustrating quite often. It never seemed to follow one character or group of characters very much, it seems to switch back and forth a lot between characters whenever they are seperated, which happens with too many characters and more often than it should be. <.<

I just think the overall quality of the game is not up to par with other Final Fantasy games, but that is just my opinion, others don't have to agree, just posting my thoughts on it. :P

Within the main series it's a tie between V and VIII.

Final Fantasy V was just horrible for me. If it wasn't for the job class system being in it, I'd probably would have never bothered finishing it. I don't know, something about it just doesn't appeal to me, at all.

Final Fantasy VIII. I hated the draw system and the whole "Junction" thing. It was alright, but over all the technical things are what got. A game as a whole: it's good for starters. But what really get's me is the plot. The whole time travel thing, or just time as a whole. Plot seemed really rushed and hacked up. Like it was either created when someone was high, or lazily thrown together with glue and tape.

Outside the main series of Final Fantasy games you have:

Crisis Core. I hated the slash and dash battle system and the leveling system. I played it primarily for the plot, and because Zack is awesome.

Dirge of Cerberus. It's hard to pull of a shooter RPG. And it's something that Square utterly failed at! Before doing something like this they probably should have consulted the people who made Fallout 3 (a successful RPG with shooter). Plot wasn't that great either. What do people like about Vincent anyways?

Why can't Square just make a remake of Final Fantasy VII and stop wasting our time with bad spin-offs, prequels, and sequels. And just let the VII Series die already.

I wish they'd make a Compilation of IX already, now that's something that would be interest, awesome, and fun.

FFX-2 for me. The story and the battle system annoyed me from the beginning, so I ended up giving up on it pretty quick. Just seemed like such a let down after FFX.

the worst final fantasy game is either ff5. i just couldn't really get into it and the game was kind of hard. i never actually finish the game but i did go like half way through the game before my game decided to break and not work anymore. but i don't even remember whats the story is about or who the characters were actually in it. it just wasn't that memorable for me at all

FF2. Good story, but if you've played the original Famicom game. Oh my lord, if you have played the original Famicom game. I could rant forever and ever about the pains I went through to complete this game, being the hardcore FF nerd I was then. Completing this game is like trying to shove a sofa through a doorknob-hole. Tedious, obnoxious, time-consuming, frustrating, and more trouble than it's worth.

Decent ideas for character-building. Horribly implemented, turning the game into an unplayable nightmare of numbers, stats, and (quite literally) beating your own characters over the head with a club. Long, extremely difficult dungeons. Nasty, nasty, nasty random battles. Bosses that are so easy, you could wipe the floor with them if you had a blindfold on. The game is too easy in some places, and way too hard in others. If you accidentally screw up the characters' stats from perfection, SORRY, you have to start over, because the difficulty will become literally unbeatable. I fail to understand why bosses can be whalloped in three rounds, but you're constantly being ambushed by nasty groups of monsters who can kill your party in a round, without giving you any chance to defend yourself?

The story was okay, but the characters were more or less archetypes. The world was bland. The only surprises came at the end, and those were the only (very little) motivation this game has to keep you going. I admit I enjoyed some of the better parts, like Leviathan or the black mask island, but most of it was pure hell.

Did you think that was long? Believe me, I spared you the rant.

Yeah, I forgot to add this to my list. When I was thinking I only thought about the GBA Version (totally easy). Man, but reading your post I remember how difficult the training and game was because of the stat system. The entire game was arithmetic; do this your stats go down, do this your stats go up, don't do this and your stats go down by this much, don't do this and your stats go up by this much.... You get my point. This is the only Final Fantasy game that I had to stop playing for a while because I couldn't get past it. About a good fifty sittings and I finally completed it.

I don't like FFII at all. And also, thinking about it, V isn't that bad. It's just not one of my favorites is all.

gah! FFX-2 was just terrible!
I liked the fact that they brought back the "job system" but I also hated it because they FAILED at it....

i agree with many here that final fantasy X-2 is the worst FF game. While the battle system is fairly deep and i like the job system, the story is weak, especially after a dramatic and memorable end to FFX. Also, i personally didn't like having to stick with all female characters, and only 3 at that!
