FFI for me maybe I havent gotten into it but found that it is jus not got any sorta way to help me kow where to go. I know its a bad reason but this may change if I can get into it.

Final Fantasy I.Why? Because it is boring, unbalanced, annoying and lacks a good story.I know it was the first, but that doesn't mean it wasn't the worst.I'd like to see why others think any of the other Final Fantasies are worse then this one.All of them give you more of something, and none of them give you less.

You can choose who you want in your party for FFI, but beyond that what kind of customization is there?

_-_ It just sucks. IMO!

Also, FFIII.

i picked 11 and x-2 xi becus it was slow in the beginning and i hav no clue wat to do prob becuz it was the pc version. and x-2 simply becuz the story was so disapointing

The spin-offs for FF7 (Crisis Core and the others I can't remember the names to) and Final Fantasy 13, which I knew from the start, would be bad. No maps, no cities, no NPCs. :C

I liked 10-2. It was a nice game. It should be counted more like a hand-held game. It offered as much (more and better) than Crisis Core, yet that game is.....:<

FF X-2 was a slap in the face. Several reasons. While Paine was a cool character, the game turned the seriousness of FFX into a teeny bopper game! They tried to use the game to link it as being the history of FF7 (Shin-Ra the kid and the discovery that the lifestream can be tapped as an energy source), Yuna became more emo, Rikku's girliness went through the roof, and the storyline seemed rehashed. Limited to three characters with no other new playable characters minus Paine. And bringing back Tidus at the end? Maybe a little satisfying for those who played FFX, but if they're going to do that, they'd better bring back Zack and Aerith too! (They certainly deserve a rebirth more than Tidus) As mentioned before, it was made as a fan service.

Final Fantasy XII was the worst game with the worst storyline for me. I hated all the intervals where a random guy would start reading from a... Book? Also, I did not understand the plot at all and it all sounded a bit stupid to me.

This is your oppinion, as you said, so I shall respect it & keep to mine.

FF1 was a good game imo. The story was pretty decent & the gameplay was a good setting for other games to go on.

I have to say, FF2 & X-2 were both far worse.

FF2. The levelling system. WHAT TEH FU- Its buggy & difficult to understand. The storyline is strong, but you can't play through it properly if your team is so severely weak in comparison.

FFX-2. I loved FFX, but X-2 took the biscuit. Almost all of the maps were rehashed from its prequel. Gameplay was FAR too easy (spam attack). The graphics hadn't been updated much at all & the character designs were simply there to make fanboys write fanfiction. It was more fanservice than game, really.

I mean, I haven't found an FF game I haven't liked, but I must say that those 2 both surpassed FF1.

Of course, this is my oppinion alone ^_^

Final Fantasy XII, definitely. The plot is really uninteresting and very very boring, it has totally lost the magic of the previous FFs, the characters are very bad, totally unexpressive, even their clothes are anonymous (the only 2 I can save are Fran and Balthier, maybe also Ashe, but I can't stand her). I didn't even like the game system. The summons are useless. Then... what else?? Vaan's supposed to be the main character... it must be a joke. Can we compare him with Cloud, Squall, or Tidus? Absolutlely not. What does he say during all the game? just some sentences like: "Yes", "all right" "let's go". He's completely useless. And so are the others.
I got the feeling that the characters weren't really a "team" like for example FFVII or VIII cast. Everyone was thinking about his own business.

so, you can understand I really don't like FFXII. I enjoyed FFX-2 much more.

Wow, for once I'm with the majority vote. :gasp:

If it counts, X-2. If not, I'd probably say XII.

I didn't completely hate XII, but I think it was very weak compared to the other games. I found myself getting bored a lot and after a while playing it felt like a chore...

X-2 is bad but at least it was in the cool world of Final Fantasy X. However I absolutely dislike FFXII for many reason's. The story was terrible I think halfway through you are in this desert that is very long and I realised I had no interest at all of getting through the desert. There was potential in this game but was wasted by endless wandering and not EVEN CLOSE to the ammount of story you would want.

The worst FF I can immediately recall would be the fabled-awfulness of II. No other game required you to receive damage in order to develop HP. And the keyword system was greatly confusing, unless you had a guide on you.

Even w/ a guide, if you can begin to hold your interest, then good for you. Otherwise, it's not even a .01 out of 5. If you favour the level system, stray from this 2nd rate game.

Brutal :wtf:. I really liked the keyword system. It's the closest I can recall in the FF series to getting genuine dialogue options. Then again, I can see how it could be a bit confusing...

While there were some solid points to the world of FFX, the first game felt like a slow slide down an inevitable slope that wound up somewhere below the back of a cereal box in a graph rating quality of storytelling. That being said, the slope started higher than any other FF I've played, so all told it comes out to some sort of reasonable average.

I have to give it up to 10-2, the worst of them all. A combat system that made me weep with nerdish joy, coupled with dialogue and storytelling so painful that I, to this day, refuse to place it inside of any console I own. The game is only made worse by the fact that it had such amazing mechanics placed just out of my reach by ear-rending voice acting... It hurt me deep, and my affections for Sqeenix may never recover form this one.

FF 10-2 gets bashed way too much in the forums.
I didn't find that much wrong with it.
The combat system with the dresspheres was actually an improvement.
I wish they would bring it back quite frankly.

FFXII was actually the worst FF in recent memory imo.
Booring without proper plot and character development.

I won't go on about the bad in 10-2, because I found waaaaaaay too much of it. But more importantly, on the other thing you said - dresspheres please. I felt like they took the job switching of 3/5/Tactics to its logical next step, and did a great job of it. Unfortunately, Squeenix seems to be a little schizophrenic with their game design, so I doubt we'll ever get to see it again. Maybe, through some great miracle, they'll find a way to take it to the next step, whatever that might be.

FINAL FANTASY XII REVENANT WINGS
I have no idea what it is that I hate about this.. I think I just find it to annyoing to do all that pressing with the stylus. I found myself getting angry while playing it. Not to mention the carachters take
forever to move to the fiend.
And you know, I think the storyline for X-2 was okay in general.... better than Revenant wings and XI

My vote is going to XIII since I haven't had the misfortune of playing X-2, I guess. The playthrough was really tedious, the gameplay was ridiculously easy, it was too linear, and most of the characters grated on me like cheese grates on a cheese shredder. I credit Lightning as a "strong female protagonist' however she seemed like a stone figure for me throughout the game...only showing emotion at the end of the game. She just didn't seem like a real person to me so it was really hard for me to get into the game going into it from her point of view.

...Don't even mention replayability to me, because this game has little, if any. What bonus do you have going back at the end and completing all of the side missions and fully leveling your characters and weapons when you've already beaten the final boss??? ...So you can finally say "huzzah! I've finally taken a Long Gui down!" ??? :ffs: Whenever I get around to exchanging this at the game place...I'll pay them to take it off of my hands.

I thought they all kind of went down hill as soon as they hit the PS2. I liked X, but after that I didnt really care for anyone of them.

well ive played FF VI - FF XIII.(tough not the online) Its a hard decission between X-2 and XII. The story of FF X-2 was just crap, but even tough the whole dresssphere thing was lame, the concept of it was quite cool (except the fact they called it dressspeheres..) and the battles where fast and entertaining.. All in all a shitty game but with some very few good elements.
FF XII was a brave try for something different but the whole package was a giant disaster. Since i cant even come upp with a single cool thing about it, FF XII gets my vote.

With a fairly good battle system, I'd have automatically rated FFX-2 higher than some others. Some of the songs were pretty nice too, like Besaid Island... There might have been another good song too in there, somewhere.

My least favorite has to be either FF2 or FF3 for the NES. Especially since not having played them back in their own time (which I guess wasn't possible), I can't appreciate them since all the later Final Fantasies take and improve on what they did, or discard the bad ideas. That and I've grown less fond of grinding. I am very nostalgic with FF1 though as it's my first RPG, even if it has much the same issues. Oh well!

Getting killed by enemies in the first town is already a bad sign. Or in FF2, just walking a short way from the first town and already you meet enemies way higher level than you. Or relying on hidden paths to get through a dungeon. These games might have been innovative back in the day, but they really have some bad design decisions too. I've beaten most Final Fantasys, but I couldn't do it for 2. That's why my vote goes out to FF3. Because I picked the wrong one to vote for. I didn't much like that one either.
