Would you like to see another spinoff to this game?

I would very much like to play a whole game as Sephiroth and only him, (unless they can come up with some more evil twisted psycotic characters to join him) on a quest to destroy everything and everyone..
The more dark and evil the game could be, the better :santa:

That with Crisis Core-esque controls would indeed be quite a wicked game, as I don't think Sephiroth needs support from other characters to survive. At most he might have some weird Jenova powers - especially since you would essentially be playing as Jenova in Sephiroth's form during much of the timeline of FFVII's main game.

Only if it's about Aerith. If not, no. Nobody else is as interesting as her. I mean, come on. She has a whole novella dedicated to her. Yeah, we can argue stuff about Tifa, and I guess she could have one. But what about her do we really not know? She works in a bar all day. Aerith is the Maiden who Travels the Planet!

I didnt want to see spinoffs for this game in the first place. I'd rather they just leave the game alone as it is, and focus on making s new original Final Fantasy. Or maybe actually finishing Versus XIII instead of focusing on the compilation of VII.

I've finished VII, watched Advent Children, and working on completing Dirge of Cerberus.

I don't plan on playing any of the other spin-offs (I tend to hate playing spin-offs in general). As great as VII is, I think it's time they stop adding onto it, and let VII go. They really should start making something new.

Something that goes back to the turn-based FFs rather than having these MMOs (XI and XIV), and auto-battle style like XII and XIII.

So basically my answer is: NO

I really think the series needs to be left alone at this point. The DoC spin offs were terrible and only hurt the plot imo. Crisis Core was really good, but Genesis being added into iconic scenes made me so mad! >_< So please, just leave the game alone unless they're planning on remaking it with updated graphics!

If they make it with updated graphics, they may change some elements of the gameplay and/or story. One of the main producers now finds faults in the game that he'd wish to rectify. He's said he'd rather not remake VII for this reason.

If they do remake VII, I wouldn't mind some changes to the gameplay, just to make the turn-based battle system a little slicker and more fast paced. I wouldn't wish for the XIII battle system though, despite having little problem with the Paradigms.

Story-wise, I'd rather they keep it as it is. However, I would welcome voice acting... The voice acting in XIII-2 was absolutely fantastic. It was lacking in X because of silly pauses, probably due to the technology then; the actors themselves were superb and perfectly suited to their characters. They were pretty good in XII too.

I wouldn't mind any of those changes actually. Besides how terrible the AC movie was, at least the voice acting was good so they could re-hire that crew to do it maybe. ^^

I agree. If the universe of VII is to be touched again I'd like to see a VII remake just because that damn teaser video got me ridiculously excited back during the ps3 launch and I'm still not over it :(

If it were to be remade I think the AC voice cast would be perfect too. In regards to the battle system I guess it could be made slightly more streamlined, but I'd definitely prefer it to be turn based or atb rather than the XII-XIII battle systems.

I would absolutely hate for the battle system to be changed in any way other than speeding it up actually. It's one of the core gameplay mechanics and I don't think it would need to be be meddled with at all. :x

Same here, but I can imagine if it were to be remade they'd heavily modify specific parts of the game and the battle system would likely be one area which they'd change most. Action RPG's are in right now and Japanese game designers seem to want to appeal to Western audiences with more action orientated battle systems. Most of my friends love COD and Gears of War and think I'm crazy for enjoying turn based battle systems.

Sadly, it seems they are the majority, so when a decent rpg with a solid turn based battle system is brought out, reviewers call it a "throw back." The annoying thing is turn based battles never went out of date with me so it annoys me when they call it old and dated!

It's fine the way it is... they have answered just about every question the VII rose up so might as well just leave it

Well personally i believe the original should be remade with better graphics and a few voice overs thrown into the mixture, but if they are ever going to make a new game i think it should be the last and final, final fantasy 7. i think they really need to make a game that answers the remaining questions. for example what happened to Genesis crisis core and doc. i think they should make a game sort if similar to crisis core but with cloud, maybe it should have the plot like: Genesis wants to take revenge on Zack but since Zack is dead he attempts to take it on Cloud. add a few old and new faces into the mix, bring back Sephiroth and Angeal. bish, bash and bosh done but you have to make it the most breath taking, most fantastic and most greatest storyline to end it all, maybe even Cloud sacrifice himself to save the planet and then all of a sudden just as its ending Tifa find his body and some how miraculously bring him back to life, then everyone lives happily ever after. no more cliff hangers.

Personally I would like a series of their whole adventure done in fine detail not just shortened and expediate, like a tv show but in Advent Children style graphics. Or another game parody that's made similar to....... The Elder Scroll series :x3:

theres still one more game to be made at least. DoC was a good game to me. I didnt see it as a first person shooter. Limit break was still there. It couldve been better but i still enjoyed it. Yet....theres more to be done....DoC hinted the return of Genesis and Weiss. So we will see what happened when Weiss and whats his name captured Genesis and hopefully we get to see Weiss's story be expanded since we saw nothing on him.

hopefully a remake is done. If gameplay changes. I wont mind as long as it combines CC's and ff7's gameplay together. I liked the actionbased gameplay however if theystick with the old one, i still wont mind. personally i would like a combination of DoC/CC on vita.

Finish what was started so we can move on and enjoy other games. Personally i would also like a parasite eve remake too

Abother psp game would be nice. Maybe something that elaborates more on what ever happened to Genesis after Dirge of Cerberus. As for the past, it would be nice to see more of Sephiroth's early soldier missions.

No, I do not and quite personally I think they should stop. I do not believe that they should keep doing this to such a wonderful even if it was a best seller. Final Fantasy 7 is wonderful game on its own but when you add too many sequels, prequels and interquels that completely screw up the already impressive plot, you kind of end up with a big mess that will alienate some fans of the game decades especially if they give us crappy controls and a story similar to what I can already see in most shonen manga. I had seen my fair share of shonen manga and that is where FF7 is headed well, I will not buy another game even if pleases FF7 fans who want to see Cloud and his entourage in thrilling 3D fighting Safer Sephiroth in 3D.

The franchise needs to be left alone and why not take more risks with more original FF games and/or spinoffs. We need other equally fun and groundbreaking game from Square Enix and leave FF7 in its place in history. I know they are company and the purpose of any business/organization is make profits but leave FF7 alone alright. We don't need another Genesis Rhapsodos who leads a whatever group in FF7 universe with stunning PS3 graphics and just create more FFs like you use to, man.

I totally agree with you, though it would be nice for Square Enix to make a remix from the original game for the PS3, but no more sequels...

No. I believe they've played this game out as much as possible. With the numerous games and movie and such, it's time to let a classic amazing game rest where it's at and have Square-Enix's team focus on reviving a Final Fantasy franchise that has been owing fans better quality games for quite some years now. The amount of years it's taking between main installment games (i.e.: FFXII and FFXIII - 4 years) is stupid. Start putting out more games to keep the FF communities interest I say instead of beating a horse that needs not be paraded around more than it already has.
