A prequel with Braska,Jecht and Auron along with the love story with Shuyin and Lenne and the War of Zanarkand and Bevelle ..........Making a prequel just about Jecht,Braska & Auron would be kind of repeating Final Fantasy X.......Even though the war and Shuyin and Lenne goes way back there could be seprate stories to the game.

A prequel would be ideal. That is if it's not to late.

In the FFX you have the past story of Jecht, braska and Auron. Not to differnet from how the FFVII has its past. A game based in the time that lead up to the events of X would be a great game. Sure many of the events may be on repet from X but many new things can be put in as well as Characters.

Now thinking of it such a thing can be done to many of the FF games, Like FF8.

Just for fun!

Tidus was not really alive in the first place he was a dream of the faythe or something like that.

As for another off branch I think it should go into Spira's future or past.

i really want a prequel. The deal is, we don't really know a ton about the pilgramage with Braska, Jecht, and Auron. Now that would be a great game. Go into all the back story, and such of the game as well. History and such.

I would gladly welcome a prequel, IF and only if it was surrounded around the pilgrimmage of Braska, Auron, and Jecht. If it has to deal with anything else and sounds like another crappy sequel(X-2) then I dont want to see anything else made of this game.

Actually another thing I would love to see made, would be a Blitzball game. Strictly blitzball, to where you can recruit players from all over Spira or have an option of creating a player and recruiting him/her on a team, have more teams added, play online against other people, I would love to have a pure blitzball game as well.

A prequel would be openly welcomed by me, but I would be pissed if they fucked it up like FFX-2. Though to be honest, I don't care for the Jecht, Auron and Braska pilgrimage. At the end of the day, we know what is going to happen in the end. We don't know how they got to A to B so to speak, but I think it'd be nice to see. Maybe if they split it up into parts. One Pilgrimage I would like to see is Seymours. Why is Mother became a Fayth and so on. The only thing with that is, I couldn't imagine much battling.

The only thing that would bother me about an FFX prequel would be the bosses. Who would BA&J fight? The only three bosses that come to mind are the chocobo eater, the gatkeeper outside Zanarkan and of course, Sin. I also think a lack of choice in the party department would be a let down for me.

I'll openly welcome a new game. But I don't see it being succesful if they did.

Really I wouldn't I don't see aneed for one unless you learn more about Paine's past. She's very strange.

Like I said it is kind of a repeat journey............But we do get the final aeon at the end of the journey.........and nothing really big happened I can't see any other enemies except Sin............I agree with Claire because adding things to do with X-2 would really ruin the whole game as it did before................

But the only thing I can see being done is a repeat journey................
Sure, some things would be from the Jecht Spheres in FFX but other than that I can't see no other stories coming out from there...........

Another thing is that there is no villain as well.........in FFX they had seymour as well as the guados who were your enemies for a short time as well............and also the people of bevelle and so on............

But during Braska's Journey there were no probelems like they had in Yuna's journey in FFX..............

If they do add stuff obviosusly its going to include bits from FFX-2 and would definately ruin the story.............

However a prequel would be awesome!

(Bit unfair how FFVII gets like 3 spin-offs and a movie and FFX only gets a sequel)

i would only like it if the battles are turn by turn like in FFX . as for the story a prequel about jecht 's life in spira maybe play as the final summon or even sin and kill everything

I swear, it feels like I posted in this thread before. Well, just in case I didn't....no, I wouldn't want a FFX-3. The idea of an FFX-3 is just ridiculous to me. FFX-2 ended Tidus and Yuna's story off with a good note, so what's the need for it?
If SE were to make a spin-off of it, I would rather see a movie of Braska, Auron, and Jecht's story or something about the Machina War rather than for it to be made out of game.

FFX-2 ended Tidus and Yuna's story off with a good note, so what's the need for it?

Unless you got the 'worst' ending. Like I did :8F:

But no, I don't think I'd want another spinoff to this game. I think all aspects are explained fully enough, there aren't any plot holes... so I don't see the point.

Also, I really disliked X-2. After that, I wouldn't like them to make another spinoff in case it turned out like that. That game was a huge disappointment to me :sad3:

I'd have to go with a movie of this one actually...They have Final Fantasy X-2 which I haven't played but I hear it's not that great...But I hear it's good too so i dunno...Eh, point is I guess a movie version would be good lol .

So a movie of a prequel is really pointless.........

But it is kind of a repeat of FFX only the final aeon defeats sin and it is reborn again! Most of it will be based around the jecht spheres and other than that I can't see anything else to add!

even if they decided to make a prequel movie or game anything they add may be a failure anyway..........or anything relating to FFX-2!

and a movie for a sequel?

Can't really imagine what they'll base it on but I think it'll be better than a movie of the prequel!

id like to see anything in the series so long as they fix all the damage done from ffx-2 and bring back seymour

Sequel or Prequel

Well i was recently playing FFX for the third time and i watched a few of the cutscenes about Auron describing Braska's pilgrimage and i was wondering would it have been better to have a prequel instead of a sequel?

Definately a prequel, although there was perhaps too much information fleshed out in FFX which would make for an anticlimax for anyone who played the original. The cast IMO would have been a much better one than the cast we saw in X-2.

There was also a lack of urgency about X-2. When the summoner went on a pilgramage there was genuine pressure and responsibility placed on the shoulders of the player, whereas Yuna was really just prancing around in X-2 amongst two factions who at best felt intense animosity towards one another. It was a shambles.

Well, I would have preferred it if FFX had neither to be honest because it was fine in itself. Admittedly given the choice, I would prefer a prequel chronicling the full pilgrimage of Braska, Auron and Jecht as opposed to what we got from the very controversial FFX-2.

I suppose it would have been fascinating to see how the whole story makes a full circle, with Jecht finding himself in an unfamiliar Spira 1000 years later parallelling with Tidus's first arrival in Spira and things like that. I would have loved to see the moment when a drunken Jecht strikes a Shoopuf in the Moonflow as well. So yeah, I would take that over FFX-2 anyday - although FFX-2 does make a gallant attempt in trying to tie up loose ends after FFX, despite its weak storyline.

However, I don't see the full point in a prequel. I mean, we know essentially what happens to Braska's pilgrimage already. Would it be a little redundant to experience it again despite knowing the ultimate outcome?

I feel there's a diffrence between knowing and Experiencing for your self, I mean you probably wouldn't mind seeing Sin being created for the first time instead of learning about it. The opening cutscene couldv'e been the birth of Sin and then you cut to Zanarkand and you play as Jecht or something until he gets to Spira or something like that. Its like after X you pretty knew everybody had a happy ending sort-of cause Sin died, so i really didn't need to know what happen during the Eternal Calm.
