Okay, for one there's no need to shout.

Second, he didn't appear 'out of nowhere'. There IS a reason for him coming back. And if you don't want him back then you can choose to not bring him back. You have to TRY and get him back, you don't HAVE to have him back.

And third, bringing back Sin would be stupid. I'm glad Sin wasn't a part of FFX-2.
 
I have very mixed feelings about X-2, because I hated the "girlie pop" style and some of the new canon, yet liked some of the new characters (Crimson Squad) and concede that yes, with the stabilizing force of the Church of Yevon (not to mention the threat of Sin) removed, Spira was going to have to flounder around a bit to find itself. As were the characters.

So my first inclination is to click the "no" option.

On the other hand, some of the spinoffs from FFVII -- movies, games -- have been good additions to the world and characters.

So my feeling is, "maybe, maybe not."

I think it might be possible to do more with the world of FFX. Either a prequel (Auron, Jecht, Braska), which was originally in the works, or some new and unexpected thing. It could be done badly. It could be done well. But it might be worth it, if Square gets inspiration -- as they did for Advent Children -- and isn't simply doing it to milk the cash cow.

If nothing else, FFX-3 might draw more people back to FFX fandom. On a purely selfish level, I wish to see more well-written fic... as much as the FVII franchise gets. New material would help.

Hmm... A prequeal, now that would be cool! Telling Braska's story, how Jecht got to Spira (that was never quite clear to me...) I'd love to see a prequel, but NOT a sequel. That's how I feel.

I would pay for an another FF10 spinoff, as I loved both of them dearly. The only one I loved more was 8:). But it would have to have a better story then 10-2. The cutesy thing is old now, and it would have to be hard hitting. Something deeper, I guess is what I mean. And it would have to be less of a love story as well, they seem to be over doing that lately in games. Anyway, point is, I'd love it.
 
Sorry, but I've got to say a strong no. I really enjoyed Final Fantasy X, then I found X-2 to be just boring, and a chore just to force myself to get through the main part of the game to see the ending... :/

That being said, I don't care to go through that again, so I really rather they didn't put anymore time into FFX to release something like an X-3, it isn't FFVII, Final Fantasy X-2 was enough.

I think it would be a waste of time to take it a step further unless it is a heck of a lot better than X-2, and I still think it would be overdoing it, don't kill a good thing, they'd do well to quit while they are ahead and continue to work on new projects (or an FFVII remake, I haven't asked for these other spinoffs, a remake with voices, improved music a graphics is all I've ever wanted added to the array of Final Fantasy VII games which there has turned out to be...)

I'd have to say no...well, maybe. I'll say maybe. X was an amazing game, and x-2 was pretty good, but the alternate endings ruined it for me. With Final Fantasy games, I'm all about the story. Even if the gameplay is terrible, if the story is good I'll love the game. They should have either brought Tidus back or left him as a memory, but not both. If there is another sequel, I'd like them to make it clear whether Tidus comes back or not. Frankly, I don't really count X-2 as canon to the story, because it has alternate endings. I usually just base my own ending off of X.

I would like to see one and I would probably buy it. I really enjoyed both of the games and Spira is one of my favourite FF universes. I just love the whole look and feel of it, the blending of Asian and European cultures and environments (If I remember correctly, that's where the designers drew their inspiration from).

I would prefer it being set a great deal of time before OR after the FFX and FFX2 timelines. Seeing Spira 500 or perhaps 1000 years in the past would be really awesome IMO.
 
I think if it were made it would be interesting.
In regards to storyline, they have a lot to work with, it would be easily done.
Fan base - I think that quite alot of people would be interested and would actually take interest and purchase the game, especially the die hard fans.
Graphically i feel that they would bring it out on the PS3 or 360. for obvious reasons.
And so what if SIN was destroyed in the first game? the did ok without him in the second one.
Maybe if they focused on a different character? for example, Id like to see the years before, when Auron and Jecht were guarding Braska, I think that would be Immense!
 
I thought they were making a prequel on Wakka's story?
It was suppose to be before X-2 but I don't know.
 
I still believe the storyline has not tied its knots just yet.

Besides, I'd love to see how the world of Spira has progressed if there were to be a sequel.
 
Nah, i think the story is pretty much done. I can't think of anything that needs explaining or another game to cover that information.


Unless they decide to make a new game with lulu's and wakka's kid as the main hero XD.
 
If it's done well, then sure!

But that's the key isn't it.

I love Spira, and most of the characters so yeah I would like another one for sure
 
Only if its Lord braskas journey with Auron and Jechtthen only if its done right, if is x-2 like then id rather be burned to death and then eaten by aardvarks and squirrels
 
Nope. It has had a spin off and we dont want it to go down the road of the FFVII cow. It got its little spin off sequel shizz and its done and dusted now. No thank you SE if you are reading this.

The problem with the 7 Cash ins is that all the stuff they added, movies etc were terrible.

If SE produce a GOOD sequal, then i'm all for it, but it has to have a great story and be worth releasing.
 
Thats right, i did some research, and i found out that there could be a sequel to final fantasy X-2, probably called as FFX-3 its rumoured to centre around a destructive war several years after FFX-2, in which Yuna has 'disappeared' and Tidus is leading the 'army' into war.

The game is apparently in 'Live Action',battles have the ATB system no longer and characters move as swift as ever.

Each character has there own and unique set of 'B.A Spheres' (Battle Armour Spheres), instead of dresspheres and each specific pair has a 'Joining Form' in which they become Aeon-esque entities to battle powerful enemies.

I personally think this will be awesome, im a X-2 lover, and i know some people hate it :(. Anyways, i like the battle armor sphere system and the joining form thingy. Just remember, its not even sure that this game will appear, so dont be so hopefull...
 
Where did you hear of this?

Usually rumours about a sequel pop up using a video of Tidus running around with black hair as their evidence, when actually it is footage from an early graphical / system demo of FFX long before it was released, and before they decided to dye Tidus' hair.

Might this be another rumour based on this which has gone out of proportion? Not saying it is, but so far there have been lots of rumours that use that clip.

Huge fail my friend. I highly doubt there is going to be another sequel. And if there were, 1 of our super sleuth posters would have put it in the news section.
 
Even thou what you wrote in your posts seems somewhat legit. I'm sad to say that it most likely is a rumour. Though that idea in itself seemed quite interesting all in all. *sigh* Why can't it be like.. true?
