And so on and so forth. Think about it this way, as a forty year old would you hang out often with 10 to 19 years olds in real life? If you answered "yes" and you're not aiming to be a teacher, then you need help...
- It's a surefire way to get in trouble with the law
- Most of the members won't see things your way, or share your point of view, save for a few key topics.
- You'll be the older, "creepy" guy that hangs around the kids.
Actually since I was about 17 I've had friends who were 30, 35, 40... If you have common interests and can hold your own in a conversation it's not really that weird. I make friends in my dojo, (they have to listen to me because I'm a senior student anyway ) and I make friends at work who are older than me all the time. Granted a lot of them are kids at heart, but I don't want to stuffy when I'm that old either.
Maybe I'm just a special case, I don't know.
